So one way of understanding what Paul's doing in 2 Corinthians is that he's not 00:52:46.240 --> 00:52:52.420 referring to Jesus there, but to the Old Testament name of God, Yahweh, which he's making a contrast 00:52:52.420 --> 00:52:57.420 between old and new there in that passage, right, to say the Spirit is the Lord. The other way some commentators understand that is that it's speaking about the 00:53:03.000 --> 00:53:07.440 work of the Son and the Spirit in such tandem and in such unity that he's sort of just demonstrating 00:53:07.440 --> 00:53:13.820 their kind of joint work in this work of redemption and regeneration.
