going on around them. 00:01:37.659 --> 00:01:40.679 And what he's doing is he's writing in a real pastoral way, 00:01:40.759 --> 00:01:43.659 just bringing them back to what they are meant to be doing 00:01:43.659 --> 00:01:46.619 and where their focus is meant to be. 00:01:47.299 --> 00:01:50.599 That they are to be a people who rejoice in the Lord. 00:01:51.239 --> 00:01:54.200 It's a recurring theme throughout this letter, 00:01:54.280 --> 00:01:58.000 the joy of the Lord and the fact that we are to rejoice in the Lord. 00:01:58.159 --> 00:02:02.179 So you find him saying again and again, 00:08:47.579 and to come to the source of our faith, 00:08:47.720 --> 00:08:48.199 the Lord, 00:08:48.819 --> 00:08:51.240 and to refresh ourselves in him. 00:08:52.059 --> 00:08:54.159 That's what Paul was constantly doing, 00:08:54.199 --> 00:08:55.460 no matter where he was, 00:08:55.860 --> 00:08:57.899 whether he was on his missionary journeys, 00:08:58.460 --> 00:09:00.399 whether he was writing from a prison cell. 00:09:01.000 --> 00:09:02.840 He was able to rejoice in the Lord 00:09:02.840 --> 00:09:05.240 and find his strength in him. 00:09:05.980 --> 00:09:07.639 So here in these
