00:00:58.920 They had heard this good news, this wonderful report from the Colossians about their faith. 00:00:59.419 --> 00:01:02.739 And that that faith had genuine fruit attached to it. 00:01:02.799 --> 00:01:03.479 There was love. 00:01:03.979 --> 00:01:05.479 You know, this is something you can't fake. 00:01:05.579 --> 00:01:07.840 And so they'd heard this and they said, that's real. 00:01:07.899 --> 00:01:08.759 That's real faith. 00:01:09.340 --> 00:01:13.579 And because of that evidence, it had caused them to do something. 00:01:13.659 --> 00:01:17.879 And we're going to These are God's means for helping us understand his will. 00:07:18.159 --> 00:07:21.620 One is the word of God, and the second is the empowering of the Holy Spirit. 00:07:21.620 --> 00:07:28.100 So along the lines of the word of God, 2 Timothy 3, verse 14 through 17 says, 00:07:28.800 --> 00:07:31.899 this is Paul's writing to Timothy, his son in the faith. 00:07:32.019 --> 00:07:35.860 He says, but as for you, continue in what you have learned 00:07:35.860 --> 00:07:40.040 and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 00:07:40.040 --> 00:07:43.579 and how from childhood you've been acquainted with the sacred writings, 00:07:43.840 --> 00:07:48.459 which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 00:07:48.459 --> 00:07:53.519 All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, 00:07:53.719 --> 00:07:56.739 for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness 00:07:56.739 --> 00:08:00.439 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 00:08:01.060 --> 00:08:02.180 The Bible is sufficient. 00:08:03.659 --> 00:08:09.539 And there is an ownership that God has put on every Christian. 00:08:10.259 00:09:52.739 there are things I just can't even share with you right now because the Holy Spirit's not here. 00:09:52.740 --> 00:09:56.740 But when he comes, which is, that's the situation we're in
