So let's start with the crown in verses 1 to 5. 00:05:47.980 --> 00:05:53.899 In the opening verses of the passage, the northern tribes of Israel come and meet with David in Hebron. 00:05:53.939 --> rightful king of us because we're the same nation. 00:07:20.399 --> 00:07:21.540 You're our greatest warrior. 00:07:21.819 --> 00:07:24.100 And God has said that it should be served. 00:07:25.019 --> about it, you can summarize becoming a Christian 00:08:33.680 --> 00:08:38.320 as submitting to Jesus as king or as Lord. 00:08:38.320 --> 00:08:45.540 Jesus, you're my Lord, or Jesus is Lord, is the let me say again, if you're not a Christian this morning, 00:14:51.240 --> 00:14:54.419 the truth is you're living in an imaginary universe. 00:14:55.320 --> 00:14:57.639 And it is heading for 00:15:22.199 Because you were made for the real world where Jesus, flesh of our flesh, 00:15:22.979 --> 00:15:26.139 the victor in battle and the shepherd of our souls, 00:15:26.379 --> 00:15:28.079 place of Hebron, as we saw last week. 00:16:02.159 --> 00:16:04.759 It's the land belonging to his tribe, the tribe of Judah. 00:16:05.560 --> 00:16:07.440 And you can tell, can't you, from the map that 00:16:07.440 --> 00:16:10.240 Hebron is a great place to rule Judah from. 00:16:10.299 --> 00:16:12.279 But if you're going to be king over all of the tribes, 00:16:12.279 --> 00:16:14.519 you might want to be somewhere more central. 00:16:14.659 --> 00:16:16.039 So David is going to have to move. 00:16:16.039 --> 00:16:17.959 He's going to have to move further north. 00:16:17.959 --> 00:16:21.759 But he also probably needs to be outside of his own tribal lands 00:16:21.759 --> 00:16:25.759 so that he can claim to be king over all the tribes and not just over Judah. 00:16:26.360 --> 00:16:29.159 There is a city that perfectly fits that bill. 00:16:29.159 --> 00:16:31.879 And it's Jerusalem, which is close to Judah, 00:16:31.939 --> 00:16:33.740 but over the border in
