We mentioned last week about the personality Russell Brand getting baptized and I noticed this week that he posted a video of what we might describe as his testimony describing how he had come to believe in Jesus. 00:00:24.480 --> 00:00:32.140 But he's not alone. There are lots of people who are opening up conversations about these things. 00:00:33.000 --> 00:00:40.560 Joe Rogan, no less, recently said that the answer to the problems that he saw around him in the world could only be fixed by Jesus. 00:00:41.120 --> 00:00:45.140 He said, we need Jesus, I think, for real. 00:00:46.600 --> 00:00:47.140 End quote. 00:00:48.939 --> 00:00:51.219 What did I think about this, these people asked me? 00:00:51.219 --> 00:00:54.280 Well, one of the conversations focused on the question of truth. 00:00:54.420 --> 00:01:01.539 This was because in an interview with Kid Rock, Joe Rogan said, quote, I want to believe Jesus was real. 00:01:01.600 --> 00:01:02.960 I really want to believe that. 00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:06.099 So we discussed the historical question. 00:01:06.180 --> 00:01:14.400 That was the direction that the conversation went around the historicity of Jesus and the significance of who he was if the history was credible. 00:01:14.400 --> 00:01:18.420 The other conversation went in a very different direction. 00:01:19.600 --> 00:01:27.160 My friend asked basically, through various different ways, the question really came down to, is Jesus really worth it? 00:02:23.020 --> 00:02:32.920 Well, this passage in John 14 this morning, back in the upper room, in this intimate gathering with the Lord Jesus, speaks directly to those to see is the answers that it provides, the answers that this passage provides, are jaw-dropping in their magnitude. 00:02:48.280 --> 00:02:58.860 Now, we saw last week, it's the night before Jesus' death, and he is explaining the significance of all that lies ahead, the significance for him and also for his disciples. 00:02:59.659 --> 00:03:04.259 Judas, we finished up last time, has just gone
