00:07:16.540 His death and resurrection and ascension. 00:07:17.100 --> 00:07:18.480 Jesus died and rose again, 00:07:18.480 --> 00:07:20.960 And why did this movement not just peter out? 00:07:21.379 --> 00:07:23.060 Well Luke wants to tell us. 00:07:23.600 --> 00:07:25.879 And we saw that Jesus said to his disciples, 00:07:26.020 --> 00:07:27.759 That he's passing on the baton, 00:07:27.819 --> the Holy Spirit, 00:11:35.719 --> 00:11:37.740 The Holy Spirit was there in Genesis chapter 1, 00:11:38.019 --> 00:11:38.959 Hovering over creation, 00:11:39.479 --> 00:11:41.199 He was there as he led God's people, 00:11:41.319 --> 00:11:43.019 Through the wilderness to the promised land, 00:11:43.539 --> 00:11:44.979 But what's unique about this is, 00:11:45.299 --> 00:11:48.199 Though God had by his spirit led his people corporately, 00:11:48.200 --> 00:11:49.600 As a nation, 00:11:50.259 --> 00:11:52.920 Here God almost rested on each one individually, 00:11:53.480 --> 00:11:55.000 You remember in the Old Testament, 00:11:55.140 --> 00:11:56.800 How God leads his people through the wilderness, 00:11:57.200 --> 00:11:59.080 At night time there's a big pillar of fire, 00:11:59.160 --> 00:12:05.240 It's like God is saying, 00:12:05.580 --> 00:12:07.800 Each one of you is going to be filled with my spirit, 00:12:08.240 --> 00:12:10.580 Just as I led my people corporately,
