to a great and wonderful reality that Jesus has been sent into the world by God the Father 00:00:28.600 --> 00:00:36.780 and that he is the Son of God, the Messiah, the glorious Son of Man that the prophets foretold. 00:00:37.300 --> 00:00:43.000 The signs that Jesus is doing, things like the feeding of the 5,000 and healings, 00:00:43.280 --> 00:00:49.980 they give evidence that he really can give eternal life to those who believe in him. 00:00:50.040 --> 00:00:54.100 But the crowd seems more interested in seeing a spectacular show. 00:00:54.660 --> 00:00:57.500 They seem more interested in being wowed. 00:00:57.500 --> 00:00:59.039 We're entertained. 00:01:00.219 --> 00:01:04.859 And so Jesus told them, we heard last week, not to seek after food that doesn't last, 00:01:05.359 --> 00:01:10.700 but instead to seek after the food that lasts forever and gives them eternal life. 00:01:11.400 --> 00:01:16.340 He tells them that he will give them this food, this lasting food.
