again and say in verse 15, 00:25:45.460 --> 00:25:48.600 Tend this vine your hand has planted. 00:25:48.599 --> 00:25:53.559 So the vine is very much a representation of God's people there. 00:25:54.059 --> 00:25:57.319 The same is true in Isaiah, for example. 00:25:57.439 --> 00:26:01.959 It comes up a number of times here in Isaiah chapter 5, verse 1 to 7. 00:26:02.539 --> 00:26:08.539 It speaks there about a word of warning about the unproductive vineyard. 00:26:09.319 --> 00:26:10.119 In verse 7 it says, 00:26:10.259 --> 00:26:14.019 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel. 00:26:14.019 --> 00:26:17.099 So it's talking about God's people. 00:26:17.819 --> 00:26:23.700 The vineyard, the vine, is very much a representation of God's people. 00:26:24.599 --> 00:26:29.400 And it's a representation that we see too in whether it's fruitful or not. 00:26:30.660 --> 00:26:35.579 And disobedience against God, as you see throughout the Old Testament, 00:26:49.660 But on the other hand, when you're with God, when you're looking and trusting in God, 00:26:49.779 --> 00:26:55.619 there's that sense of a good harvest, a plentiful and a rich harvest 00:27:07.180 I am the vine, I am the true vine. 00:27:07.180 --> 00:27:10.680 And Jesus is here in John 15. 00:27:10.960 --> 00:27:16.680 In this section, he's with his disciples just before the night before the crucifixion. 00:27:17.680 --> 00:27:23.900 And you see from John 13 through to 17, it's this time he has with his disciples. 00:27:24.279 --> 00:27:30.759 He's using this image of the vine
