unless you've chosen to get off it. 00:01:24.959 --> 00:01:30.920 And then there is the road on which you have to consciously choose to travel on, if you're 00:01:30.920 --> 00:01:32.219 ever going to hates the sin but loves the sinner. 00:05:17.519 --> 00:05:19.699 And yet that's fine for this world. 00:05:19.699 --> 00:05:25.000 But what we see is at the end of time that breaks down, doesn't it? 00:05:26.439 --> 00:05:32.000 Because can you see at the end of this default road, at the destination of destruction in chapter 34, 00:05:32.620 --> 00:05:35.759 the sinner and the sin become wants you and I to pick up on that. 00:08:52.319 --> 00:08:55.759 That God one day is going to hit the rewind button on creation. 00:08:57.079 --> 00:09:02.959 He's going to reverse into disorder the system that has so long been disordered the good order. 00:09:04.879 --> 00:09:06.799 God is going to destroy it with precision. 00:09:08.539 --> 00:09:09.559 And he will overlook nothing. 00:09:09.559 --> 00:09:14.979 And through all of this, Isaiah looks you and I in the eye and reads our mind. 00:09:15.459 --> 00:09:18.699 And he says to you and I, don't think God will change his mind on this one. 00:09:20.279 --> 00:09:21.959 Don't think that God is going to lose his nerve. 00:09:23.239 --> 00:09:24.559 Don't think there's a plan B. 00:09:24.799 --> 00:09:30.559 You need to understand that God has his judgment planned down to the finest minute detail. 00:09:30.559 --> 00:09:36.419 And if that doesn't send a chill through you, I don't know what will. 00:09:37.619 --> 00:09:44.539 This is the destination, Isaiah says, of the default road that every one of us is on unless we consciously get off it. 00:09:46.439 --> 00:09:49.459 Because every one of us, the Bible says, are rebels against God. 00:09:49.599 --> 00:09:51.719 Every one of us wants to do things our own way. 00:09:51.720 --> 00:09:57.200 And this is the end point. 00:09:59.620 --> 00:10:02.680 This is the end point for all of us who are just left to ourselves. 00:10:04.139 --> 00:10:06.460 Here's how Roy Ortland puts our predicament. 00:10:06.600 --> 00:10:08.720 He says, what if God leaves you itching envy in your heart, that bitterness eating away inside you, that anger raging inside you, 00:10:24.179 --> 00:10:27.460 your ungrateful self for whom nothing is ever good enough? 00:10:28.600 --> 00:10:31.860 The you lurking in the fantasy twilight of lust. 00:10:32.179 --> 00:10:34.740 The you buried alive in the coffin of grief. 00:10:34.740 --> 00:10:39.779 The you that is too sophisticated for childlike delight in God. 00:10:40.139 --> 00:10:42.399 What if God does not save you? 00:10:42.399 --> 00:10:49.699 The you that you are becoming now is what you will be forever minutes on chapter 34. 00:11:54.179 --> 00:12:01.720 But I hope the time we have spent on it makes you see how unbelievably and incredibly good and great the news is of chapter 35. 00:12:01.720 -->
