Just like this criminal, we can all say we justly have done things wrong. 00:26:30.740 --> 00:26:37.060 We are justly receiving that we are due because we have done the wrong thing. 00:26:37.059 --> 00:28:52.579 --> 00:28:57.639 And again, it's a word that we have to realize that it's about when we do something wrong, 00:28:58.179 --> 00:29:02.819 and what you see this criminal has done wrong, it kind of stops him in the direction he's going. 00:29:02.819 --> 00:29:04.539 It stops him. 00:29:05.179 --> 00:29:08.919 But repentance is more than just stopping what you're doing wrong. 00:29:09.559 --> 00:29:13.379 Repentance means turning around and going in a different direction. 00:29:14.720 --> 00:29:18.460 And that's the third thing that we see about this criminal. 00:29:19.519 --> 00:29:21.639 He recognized he'd done wrong. 00:29:22.119 --> 00:29:23.819 He recognized that he was lost. 00:29:23.819 --> 00:29:31.759 But the difference between him and the first criminal is he 00:34:11.779 And then in verse 43. 00:34:12.400 --> 00:34:15.139 His reply to that criminal who had cried out. 00:34:15.139 --> 00:34:16.460 Jesus, remember me. 00:34:16.920 --> 00:34:23.019 He said to him, truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. 00:34:24.699 --> 00:34:28.219 So there were these two crosses with the criminals. 00:34:29.819 --> 00:34:31.319 They had done wrong. 00:34:32.119 --> 00:34:35.059 But in the middle was a third cross. 00:34:35.779 --> 00:34:38.859 And here was one who was completely innocent. 00:34:39.059 --> 00:34:40.440 He had done nothing wrong.
