00:01:28.519 --> 00:01:35.180 chapter 5, verses 17 down through verse 26? 00:01:35.359 --> 00:01:39.540 Luke chapter 5, I'm reading out of the Christian Standard Bible. 00:01:40.340 --> 00:01:45.020 On one of those days while he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting 00:01:45.020 --> 00:01:45.300 there. 00:01:45.299 --> 00:01:51.399 They had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and also from Jerusalem. 00:01:52.259 --> 00:01:56.079 And the Lord's power to heal was in him. 00:01:57.819 --> 00:02:04.359 Just then, some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man Since they could not find a way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the 00:02:19.259 --> 00:02:26.340 roof, lowered him on the stretcher, threw the roof tiles into the middle of the Pharisees began to think to themselves, who is this man who speaks 00:02:42.860 --> 00:02:43.659 blasphemies? 00:02:44.360 --> 00:02:46.640 Who can forgive sins but God alone? 00:02:46.639 --> 00:02:50.039 Well, they asked the right question, didn't they? 00:02:51.039 --> 00:02:53.459 It was God standing in front of them. 00:02:54.399 --> 00:03:00.719 But perceiving their thoughts, Jesus 00:03:08.239 --> 00:03:15.979 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, he told 00:03:15.979 --> 00:03:22.739 the paralyzed man, I tell you, get up, take 00:05:56.199 His first calling that he issued was, come. 00:05:56.420 --> 00:05:57.079 Come and see. 00:05:57.319 --> 00:06:01.980 And that's what we talked about last Sunday as he was calling his 00:08:03.699 I'm going to make my faith public. 00:08:04.019 --> 00:08:07.019 I'm going to come and see the Jesus way. 00:08:08.019 --> 00:08:10.399 Then all of us are called to come and die, right? 00:08:10.899 --> 00:08:11.759 And that's the struggle. 00:08:11.859 --> 00:08:12.919 That's the daily struggle. 00:08:12.920 --> 00:08:17.560 But is the third part maybe where God wants to take you 00:13:42.820 So let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us. 00:13:43.120 --> 00:13:47.580 And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
