00:02:58.960 --> 00:03:00.659 Last week we looked at chapter 1, 00:03:01.039 --> 00:03:03.980 and we saw that Habakkuk was crying out 00:03:03.979 --> 00:03:07.099 because of all the injustice that he saw in Judah. 00:03:08.000 --> 00:03:09.679 Habakkuk cried out asking God, 00:03:09.899 --> 00:03:11.039 why aren't you doing anything? 00:03:12.159 --> 00:03:14.099 And God replied, I am. 00:03:14.259 --> 00:03:15.759 I am going to bring justice. 00:03:16.219 --> 00:03:18.560 I'm going to bring the biggest superpower, Babylon, 00:03:18.859 --> 00:03:21.079 and they're going to judge Judah. 00:03:21.959 --> 00:03:23.659 And Habakkuk cried out, 00:03:24.039 --> 00:03:24.379 what? 00:03:24.560 --> 00:03:27.139 How can you bring those evil people to judge Judah? 00:03:27.359 --> 00:03:28.500 They're so much worse. 00:03:28.500 --> 00:03:32.240 And Habakkuk is trying to understand 00:03:32.240 --> 00:03:34.860 how a good and pure God 00:03:34.860 --> 00:03:36.919 could allow a waits. 00:05:13.500 --> 00:05:14.959 And what does waiting look like? 00:05:15.500 --> 00:05:16.439 Well, it's active. 00:05:16.879 --> 00:05:17.959 It's not passive. 00:05:18.759 --> 00:05:21.300 He's actively looking for God's response 00:05:21.300 --> 00:05:23.620 and he's going to persist as he waits. 00:05:24.259 --> 00:05:25.659 And Habakkuk paints this picture 00:05:25.659 --> walled in, 00:05:33.339 --> 00:05:34.319 and you've got towers 00:05:34.319 --> 00:05:37.300 where you can watch over where the enemy comes. 00:05:37.300 --> 00:05:38.540 That's what the ramparts are,
