that these three verses are meant to be comfort to the weary soul. 00:02:48.380 --> 00:02:53.660 Since the end of chapter 7, Paul has expressed the challenge of living in our corrupted flesh --> 00:07:47.439 and the basis of this being, 00:07:47.700 --> 00:07:49.840 for or not for, 00:07:50.560 --> 00:07:53.939 is whether or not you are in Christ. 00:07:54.939 --> 00:07:59.399 Let's not neglect the context of Paul's phrase here. 00:08:00.259 --> 00:08:04.240 Paul is speaking directly to Christians in this letter. 00:08:04.480 --> 00:08:08.139 Those who are professing faith in Jesus Christ. 00:08:08.839 --> 00:08:10.879 Remember in Romans chapter 8 and verse 1, 00:08:10.959 --> 00:08:11.240 he says, 00:08:11.500 --> 00:08:14.420 There is therefore now no condemnation 00:08:14.420 and fallen short of the glory of God. 00:08:26.199 --> 00:08:28.740 We deserve condemnation, 00:08:29.340 --> 00:08:32.039 but for those who are in Christ Jesus, 00:08:32.300 --> 00:08:33.320 Romans 8, 1 says, 00:08:33.399 --> 00:08:36.259 there is no condemnation. 00:08:37.379 --> 00:08:40.139 He goes on to say in chapter 8, verse 5, 00:08:41.139 --> 00:08:42.800 Those who live according to the flesh 00:08:42.800 --> 00:08:45.920 set their minds on the things of the flesh, 00:08:46.420 --> 00:08:48.300 but those who live according to the Spirit 00:08:48.300 --> 00:08:51.800 set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 00:08:51.799 --> 00:08:55.139 So, there's two categories of people, right? 00:08:55.219 --> 00:08:57.120 Those who are in Christ 00:08:57.120 --> 00:08:58.879 and those 00:09:47.339 and therefore Christ is not in them 00:09:47.339 --> 00:09:49.120 by the Spirit. 00:09:49.299 --> 00:09:49.819 And then he says, 00:09:49.919 --> 00:09:53.039 Anyone who does not have the the ruling thoughts in our life 00:10:17.939 --> 00:10:21.919 be those things that are of God. 00:10:23.679 --> 00:10:27.639 And so, what most occupies your mind? 00:10:28.919 --> 00:10:30.079 What do
