00:28:48.399 on the part of the man who calls himself the commander of the armies of the Lord. 00:28:49.419 --> 00:28:54.440 And that means that it's a continuation really of God guiding his people, 00:28:54.839 --> 00:28:58.839 being with his people, leading his people, blessing his people, 00:28:58.839 --> 00:29:02.419 making them powerful in the face of their enemies. 00:29:03.039 --> 00:29:10.319 All of that follows through from the time of Moses to the time now of Joshua under his leadership too. 00:29:10.779 --> 00:29:14.539 The emphasis really is something that's very important for ourselves. 00:29:15.339 --> 00:29:18.519 The Lord of Moses is the Lord of Joshua. 00:29:18.779 --> 00:29:22.359 The Lord of Moses' day is the Lord of Joshua's day. 00:29:22.699 --> 00:29:25.619 And the Lord of Joshua's day is the Lord of our day. 00:29:25.619 --> 00:29:31.759 That principle of continuation of the Lord's provision for his people, 00:29:32.000 --> 00:29:35.619 the Lord going before his people as their commander, 00:29:36.099 --> 00:29:40.659 is something that's so crucial for us today as a church. 00:29:41.299 --> 00:29:43.099 In that sense, nothing has changed. 00:29:43.739 --> 00:29:48.099 The same God who delivers his people is the God who goes before them. 00:29:48.779 --> 00:29:52.039 The God who brings them out of adversity and out of darkness
