enabled 00:24:15.560 --> 00:24:17.240 to not live the way they used to live. 00:24:17.240 --> 00:24:20.960 And to teach people that sin is not a 00:24:20.960 --> 00:24:22.839 relevant issue and doesn't have 00:24:22.839 --> 00:24:24.779 significance in this life in eternity 00:24:24.779 --> 00:24:27.039 is to fail miserably at the truth of 00:24:27.039 --> 00:24:27.579 the gospel. 00:24:28.599 --> 00:24:30.099 The fact of the matter is, is here's 00:24:30.099 --> 00:24:31.740 Paul writing to the church at Corinth 00:24:31.740 --> 00:24:34.120 filled with people whose pasts were 00:24:34.120 --> 00:24:36.660 absolutely marked by their sin. 00:24:36.740 --> 00:24:40.480 He says, hey, don't get the idea that 00:24:40.480 --> 00:24:42.440 unrighteousness doesn't count because 00:24:42.440 --> 00:24:44.519 unrighteousness will not inherit the 00:24:44.519 --> 00:24:45.140 kingdom of God. 00:24:45.240 --> 00:24:45.900 Don't be deceived. 00:24:45.900 --> 00:24:50.580 Neither the coats? 00:31:17.400 --> 00:31:18.000 Paul. 00:31:19.059 --> 00:31:19.579 Saul. 00:31:20.519 --> 00:31:28.599 Later, as he is on the road to Damascus, and he's kind of trudging along with all kinds of intention of putting the hurt on the early church, 00:31:28.980 --> 00:31:30.880 along comes Jesus and says, what? 00:31:32.019 --> 00:31:34.440 Why are you persecuting me? 00:31:36.000 --> 00:31:38.000 What? 00:31:40.000 --> 00:31:47.339 The link between Stephen and Jesus was hammered home. 00:31:49.039 --> 00:31:56.759 What Paul had done to Stephen had been done actually to Christ.
