that you see being answered from the very beginning to the very end. 00:29:35.699 --> 00:29:41.339 And Mark's Gospel in the first verse gives us a great answer of who Jesus is. 00:29:41.919 --> Well, as you go through the Gospel of Mark, 00:30:16.740 --> 00:30:18.900 you find, as Mark is writing, 00:30:19.000 --> 00:30:22.920 he's revealing to us the identity of Jesus in amazing ways. 00:30:22.920 --> 00:30:26.440 As from the very outset in chapter 1, 00:30:26.560 --> 00:30:30.140 you see Jesus starting to perform miracles. 00:30:31.019 --> 00:30:35.519 You see him teaching in ways that leave people astonished, 00:30:35.700 --> 00:30:38.720 astounded as to the kind of teaching that they're hearing, 00:30:38.840 --> 00:30:41.220 teaching like they've never heard before. 00:30:41.840 --> 00:30:43.700 So there's this sense of astonishment, 00:30:43.840 --> 00:30:46.440 this sense of bewilderment about who Jesus is. 00:30:47.100 --> 00:30:51.620 You see at the end of chapter 1 that Jesus had to go out into the open places 00:30:51.619 --> 00:30:54.459 because even towns couldn't receive him 00:30:54.459 --> 00:30:56.259 because such numbers were coming. through the Gospel of Mark, 00:31:20.920 --> 00:31:23.680 you see Jesus begin to say he came to suffer. 00:31:24.120 --> 00:31:27.220 He came to give his life as a ransom for many. 00:31:27.680 --> 00:31:31.240 The Son of God came to give his life on the cross. 00:31:31.860 --> 00:31:33.480 And as you come to the end of the Gospel, 00:31:33.620 --> 00:31:36.320 that's what you see, the death of 00:37:13.099 --> 00:37:14.259 and different things. 00:37:15.059 --> 00:37:16.259 But now he's returned 00:37:16.259 --> 00:37:17.339 to Capernaum. 00:37:18.339 --> 00:37:19.739 And as he has returned, 00:37:20.319 --> 00:37:21.359 we see in verse two, 00:37:21.480 --> 00:37:22.719 many were gathered together 00:37:22.719 --> 00:37:23.299 so that there was 00:37:23.299 --> 00:37:25.919 no more room in the home. 00:37:26.980 --> 00:37:28.239 And he was there 00:37:28.239 --> 00:37:31.059 preaching the word to them. 00:37:32.159 --> 00:37:34.119 So you can just picture this. 00:37:34.739 00:40:06.359 --> 00:40:07.659 as an abomination. 00:40:07.899 --> 00:40:08.319 They see this 00:40:08.319 --> 00:40:10.119 as just so wrong 00:40:10.119 --> 00:40:11.239 in what he's saying. 00:40:11.319 --> 00:40:13.019 How dare he say this 00:40:13.019 --> 00:40:14.440 that he might forgive 00:40:14.440 --> 00:40:15.239 the sins 00:40:15.239 --> 00:40:16.460 of someone. 00:40:18.460 -->
