[0:00] But the theme this morning may not seem like it, but it was forgiveness and meekness. God forgave us.
[0:11] And God demonstrated meekness for us when he went to the cross.! When Jesus paid it all, he was a demonstration of what it means to be meek. He had all the power in the world, and yet he allowed himself to submit to this.
[0:30] He's giving his life for us. A meekness that we need to learn from. We'll be talking about that this morning a little bit. So 3.55, let's stand. Oh, you, yes?

[9:22] When you stop and think about the word meekness It's hardly used in society today Very seldom do you hear that word anymore Hang on just a second Dana Highlighting meekness If David Letterman still had his show There's no top ten Signs of meekness Time magazine doesn't have the ten meekest people in the world Things they don't Why is that?
[10:03] Meekness is a good word But why is it that Because meekness Is seen as A lack of personality It's seen as a lack of strength People don't see meekness They see When you hear the word meek You think It's kind of Wallflower Somebody off to the side Somebody They don't like attention They don't You know They don't necessarily like attention They don't want attention Because it's not about them They understand that But actually The quite opposite In the way we think It takes a lot of strength A lot of Uncommon strength To be meek When I hear meek The first thing that always comes to my mind Is strength Under control You have strength But you have it under control I like this definition That I have Definition of meekness A submissive
[11:03] And teachable spirit Toward God That reveals itself In genuine consideration Toward others Let me read that again A submissive And teachable spirit Toward God That reveals itself In genuine consideration Toward others Meekness Is a willingness To yield I don't have to have my way All the time I don't have to do my thing All the time It's a matter Of Giving consideration To others Meekness Sometimes requires us To You know Stoop down Meekness is not a It's a willingness to yield But it's never Spineless It's a I can bend To help And see you Where you are But I'm not Spineless When I had that One about stooping down To meet the emotional
