[0:00] Alright, let's open up the Scriptures this morning, find the very beginning, Genesis chapter 1. Genesis chapter 1, and as I warned you in Sunday school, the intention this morning is to cover a lot of Scripture.

[0:21] And we won't stay in one place very long. We're going to keep moving. And this is not at all my normal as far as a format for a sermon. And to be honest, I'm a little nervous about putting it out there and the way it's coming together for me.

[0:39] But just have ears to hear and don't jump to any conclusions until we get to one. Somewhere along the way, you might feel like, oh, I know where this is going.

[0:50] And you're not going to be exactly certain on that, but just stay with us, please. And let's first get our bearings in the Bible. This is Genesis chapter 1 and the creation account of man and woman.

[1:06] And so we're going to see the relationship that God, He institutes here in Genesis chapter 1. And we'll start reading in verse 24. And so this is day number 6.

[1:22] And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind, and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and God saw that it was good.

[1:40] And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

[1:51] So God created man in His own image. In the image of God created He him. Male and female created He them. And God blessed them.

[2:02] And God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

[2:13] So here's the creation account of the six individual days of creation in Genesis chapter 1. And these days are not detailed accounts of what God did every step of the way or every moment.

[2:25] They're just really just quick clips of day 1, 2, 3, all the way to day 6. Now chapter 2, there is a little more, whether it's backtracking, I don't know.

[2:39] Or whether this is the order, I don't know. But in chapter 2, he goes back and he talks a little bit more about day 6. In chapter 2, in verse number 7, Now he speaks about a garden.

[3:10] And in verse 8, God placed the man in the garden. God placed the man in the garden. And then he talks about the tree of life, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, watering the garden, four rivers.

[3:24] And skim down to verse 15, it says, And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

[3:44] And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone. I will make him and help meet for him. And out of the ground, the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them.

[3:58] So here it seems as if he creates the man, places him in the garden, and then goes and creates the beasts of the field and brings them to the man.

[4:09] So whether it's in chapter 1, the animal first, the man second, and even in chapter 1, it's created he them as if it was a together thing. Here in chapter 2, it seems like it goes the other direction, where he creates the man, puts him in the garden, and then the rest of it.

[4:25] In verse 19, Out of the ground the Lord formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them. And whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, to the fowl of the air and to every beast of the field.

[4:39] But for Adam there was not found and helped meet for him. So there he is, just the man by himself, naming the animals. And the animals possibly in their pairs or the male and female.

[4:51] Again, it's not described in particular, and God leaves a whole lot out as he sees fit. But with the man, he is definitely alone. And so it's interesting to me to see that in God's original mindset and creation, he just creates a man after his own image and gives him dominion of the whole thing and has him naming the animals.

[5:12] But he says it's not good that the man should be alone. It's something's not complete here. And so in verse 20, as we read, there was no help meet for him.

[5:24] God's like, he needs a helper. He needs help. He needs somebody else. So verse 21, The Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept. And he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof.

[5:38] And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man made he a woman and brought her unto the man. Earlier, he's bringing the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air.

[5:49] It says in verse 19, He brought them unto Adam to see what he would name them. Now he takes the rib and he forms a woman. And it's interesting, he doesn't form her of the dust of the ground.

[6:00] Why did God take her out of the man? I don't know why, but that's how he did it. And we'll see that later in Paul's epistles. So the Lord caused this deep sleep, takes the rib, interesting, isn't that interesting?

[6:14] Takes a rib out of the man and then makes a woman. Made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam is still in this, everything he sees, he gives it a name.

[6:28] And so when God brings the woman to Adam, it says in verse 23, Adam said, this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man. And then it seems as though Moses interjects into this story, saying, therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

[6:46] So there's the creation account of the man and his wife, his help. And then in chapter 3, we see the fall of man right away.

[6:59] There's no indication of a time frame here of how many days or months or years or anything of that nature that has passed here. And so in chapter 3, verse 1, Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord had made.

[7:14] And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

[7:29] Now what I'm not certain on with this whole layout, and I don't know that I'll ever be certain on it just from reading these few verses, is the order. And whether what God spoke, he spoke to both the man and his wife, or whether he just spoke it to the man, creating him first, and then bringing her to him, whether she ever heard the command about the tree with her own ears.

[7:54] Because she gets it wrong when she quotes what God hath said. What she says in verse 3 is not the same thing what God said to Adam. You can look that up yourself. Now in verse 4, the serpent contradicts all of it.

[8:06] The serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die, for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Now verse 6, When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.

[8:30] And the eyes of them both were opened, they knew that they were naked. Now it doesn't say, again, it doesn't say that Adam and Eve are standing at the tree together, and the serpent speaks to the woman, and Adam just clueless, doesn't know what's going on.

[8:49] That's reading into it. Surely seems as though the woman's by herself, and the serpent beguiles the woman, and deceives the woman. And we'll see that again later.

[8:59] And then the woman took the fruit thereof, and did eat, in verse 6, and then says, and gave also unto her husband with her. Later in the passage, the Lord shows up, and there he asks them how they knew they were naked.

[9:15] Did you eat of the tree, he says. And so verse number 12, right away Adam responds to God's question, and the man said, The woman who thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

[9:27] Now, what we like to do, and I, you know, point the finger, and that's easy to say, Adam's just shifting the blame, Adam's not, you know, being a man, and it's easy to think that way.

[9:42] But if you look at it in a different light, and see that Adam wasn't at the tree, wasn't privy to the conversation, and perhaps the woman, in fact, did bring a basket of fruit to her husband, and saying, check this out, eat this.

[9:58] He says, the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. For God, if you're a parent, and your kid violates your instructions and command, and they say, well, he told me to, or she told me to do it, do you ever give into that?

[10:23] Do you ever acknowledge that as being, oh, really? I didn't know that your sister told you to do it. Do you ever, you don't buy that at all. As a parent, you say, I don't care what they said.

[10:36] I don't care what they told you. I told you not to eat of it. And you deal with them. But the Lord doesn't do it in that way. And so it feels to me, just through the reading of this, that what Adam's saying is true.

[10:49] That she brought it to me. I wasn't over there at the tree. I didn't know this tree was coming from that, or the fruit was coming from that tree. The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree.

[10:59] And I did eat. And so the Lord then turns to the woman. He doesn't say, no, Adam, I told you. He turns to the woman and says, what is this that thou hast done? In verse 13. What are you doing?

[11:12] Look what you did. He accuses her. He almost just walks by Adam. Now he's guilty, of course. And he's going to suffer the consequences, of course. But it seems as though the woman is to be blamed in this situation.

[11:28] And Adam blames her. And the Lord turns and says, what is this that thou hast done? The woman said, the serpent beguiled me and I did eat. And then the Lord turns to the serpent, realizes you're the one that started this whole thing, deceived her.

[11:40] She took it to him. And the whole thing's blown up. And then curses are flying. Everybody's cursed. From 14, 15, 16 on.

[11:51] It goes downhill pretty quickly. But Eve is blamed. And the order is in verse 6, that she saw it. She took and did eat.

[12:02] And she gave also unto her husband. And there's a lot to read into the lines there. If you can, the scripture just puts out the statement. It just puts out the super slim clip of what really transpired moment by moment, occasion by occasion, as it transpired.

[12:23] But Eve is blamed, no doubt. All right. So there's the setting. There's the way things are with the origin of this. But let's continue to build upon what we're learning here.

[12:34] Go to 2 Corinthians 11 now. 2 Corinthians 11. And the Apostle Paul bears witness to this account in a quick statement.

[12:56] Remember that the woman was created secondarily as in help for the man. And help meet for him. Meet as in suitable or a match.

[13:10] And I just can't help it to say this. There's no such thing as help meet. That's not a word. That's never been a word. And so if you have a book that says created to be his help meet or something, it's just foolish.

[13:21] That word has been flying too much. It's not true. It's in help. She's in help. That's the noun. Okay, that's enough of my hobby horse. So 2 Corinthians 11 and verse number 3, Paul says, But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

[13:43] Acknowledging again what she said, that the serpent deceived or beguiled me. Paul says, The serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety. So she was created as a, again, a secondary to the original purpose of man, then realizing it's not good that he's alone, so he creates the woman.

[14:00] And then the woman is deceived or tricked by the serpent and brings it to the man, and things blow up there. All right, now keep moving to your right, to 1 Timothy chapter 2.

[14:14] And I want you to catch from that phrase or from that passage, Paul acknowledging that the woman was beguiled. It wasn't the man. The serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety.

[14:28] Now in 1 Timothy chapter 2, this is a passage, as it comes down halfway through the chapter, it turns to the women in verse number 9, and it deals with some of her duties and being modest in her appearance and not seeking attention or not seeking worship and her being submissive in her spirit, and that just matches the woman that she was created to be with Adam.

[14:58] And in verse number 12, Paul says, I suffer not a woman to teach nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Why? For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

[15:10] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. So Adam was created as the authority. The woman, therefore, is not to usurp authority over the man because Adam was created to be that authority.

[15:26] The man was. And to further this, it was Eve that messed up. It was Eve that was deceived, not Adam. Now there's two thoughts here, and the easy one is just to say that that's all he's saying is that the woman was deceived, it wasn't the man.

[15:42] It was the serpent went after her, which is absolutely true, as we've covered. Another thought to go beyond that is possibly, it's a little bit more, is the thought that Adam received the fruit well knowing what was happening and chose to do so, seeing that his wife was affected by this and he chose to die with her, so to speak.

[16:08] I don't know if that would be true or not, but if so, it would make him kind of a type of Christ there, loving husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it.

[16:19] Anyway, Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Now, turn to 1 Peter chapter 3. We're just getting started.

[16:31] Keep turning. 1 Peter chapter 3. And let's read the first seven verses.

[16:52] Peter has some similar language to what Paul just said. Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives, while they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear, whose adorning, let it not be that outward adorning of plating the hair and of wearing of gold and of putting on of apparel.

[17:16] That's the outward attention, seeking, I need to have everyone looking at me. I need them to notice me. That's not, if you want somebody to notice you, ladies, it's verse 4, but let it be the hidden man of the heart.

[17:29] In that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Now that's similar to what Paul just said in 1 Timothy, of the silence and of the adorning on the outward.

[17:44] Now verse 5 says, But after this manner in the old time, the holy women also who trusted in God adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands. Even as Sarah obeyed at Abraham, calling him Lord, whose daughters are ye, as long as ye do well, are not afraid with any amazement.

[17:59] Verse 7, Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, as being heirs together of the grace of life, let your prayers be not hindered.

[18:12] Now, what I'm giving you this morning, and we're going to keep going, is Bible. So let's just put that out in the air. This is not one man's opinion. This is not my attempt.

[18:23] Ladies, I warned you, don't go ahead and think you know where this is going. This is not my attempt to put you down and get you in your place, woman, and talk along those lines. But the scripture declares that the man was created.

[18:37] And then, as an afterthought, for lack of a better word, God created a help for him. And that help got in trouble. And that help was beguiled by a serpent far superior to her.

[18:51] And listened to a voice that wasn't the voice of God or the voice of her authority, her head. And because of that, the whole thing went downhill pretty quickly. Somebody got out of line, if you want to call it that way.

[19:04] Here, we read, notice that she is not to usurp authority over the man because the man was created as the authority. Adam was formed first. Then Peter calls her, in verse 7, the weaker vessel.

[19:17] And physically, there's no doubt that she's the weaker vessel. And more the ways than physically. More, generally speaking, across the board, women are weaker than men physically, even spiritually in many cases, as well as emotionally.

[19:35] And that doesn't mean that, you know, the exception proves the rule at some point, but there's several cases and ways that this is just truth. And it doesn't matter if I agree with it or you agree with it or not. There it is, 1 Peter 3, 7.

[19:47] That's the word of God. That's the truth. The weaker vessel. So, I don't have any problem with that. If you do, let's just keep moving and see where we get to. You know what the world says? The world says that the woman is equal to the man.

[20:02] The world's been pumping that for a long time. And who's the God of this world? The same one that tried to mess the system up and the institution from the very beginning.

[20:13] And you've heard it and you've felt it and you've experienced it that the world has been pushing an agenda to break up something that God established from the beginning. And he's doing a good job of it and I want to show you today that he's going to turn the thing upside down completely.

[20:30] The world says the woman is not inferior, not secondary. She doesn't need to have an authority. The women's liberation movement or feminism or whatever title you want to give to it or the ability to choose and there's tons of, all of it.

[20:48] It's all just little increments of a shift that's been taking place over time going a direction and the direction is against the word of God. Look at 1 Corinthians chapter 11.

[21:02] 1 Corinthians chapter 11. And we're going to be introduced right away to an order.

[21:22] In verse 1, 1 Corinthians chapter 11, the apostle Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, the apostle of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles and the authority for the body of Christ says this to the church, be ye followers of me even as I also am of Christ.

[21:40] So an order is Jesus Christ, then the man he called and put into an office as an apostle to the Gentiles, the apostle Paul, and then the body of Christ, you and I, believers, following our authority as he lays doctrine down for us to follow.

[21:57] And an example, and he tells the church of Philippians chapter 4, verse 10, I think it is, or 9, 10, those things you heard and seen and whatever in me do.

[22:10] I'll mess that up. We're to follow him. Follow the apostle Paul. There's the order. Now, that's just on the side. Consider that because he's about to go into an order that we've already studied here.

[22:23] Look at verse 3. 1 Corinthians 11, verse 3. But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ.

[22:33] So it's not just the apostle Paul as the head. He doesn't call himself the head, although he says, be followers of me. He says, the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is the man. And the head of Christ is God.

[22:46] Now, if we need an order, it is God. And then Christ. It doesn't make him an inferior or secondary God, but Christ as a man. And you read the Gospel of John expressly how he always says, I came to do thy will and my doctrine is not my own.

[23:03] It's the Father's that sent me. And he submitted all the way through to do his work. God, Christ, the head of every man is Christ. It's going to be man and then woman if you want to put an order to it.

[23:14] From top to bottom, God, Christ, man, woman. There's a line. There's an order. And a good visual of this, I've drawn this out as a visual before where there's arrows pointing up to the one above you and an arrow pointing down to the one below.

[23:30] And the one that is below pointing up, it is, on the side of that would say, you submit to or obey the one above you. So the woman submits to and obeys the man as he submits and obeys to Christ who submits and obeys and did to the Father.

[23:46] And then on the other side, the arrow going down is you lead the one below you. You lead, the Father led the Son in all the Gospels as he reads in his ministry.

[23:57] The Son, Christ, leads the man. The man leads the woman. And if you want to add to that, you can add children. So that just, you can, that's Scripture. And you can say that the script, the children obey their parents and they obey the wife or the mother, the woman, and she leads and teaches and guides them.

[24:15] And the order, this is God's order for the home, for life, for society even, the structure that God set up. And if kids don't like to be on the bottom, then you can put pets underneath them.

[24:27] And the pets obey the kids, the wife, the husband, all the way to the top. And if they don't want to be the bottom, too bad. So there's the order, 1 Corinthians 11 and verse 3.

[24:40] This is God's ordained order and specifically connecting to what we've been covering. The head of the woman is the man, so saith the Scripture.

[24:52] Now verse number 7, come a little bit later in the passage. Verse number 7, For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

[25:08] Now the man, his head is Christ. The woman is under the man. When God, when Paul talks about this thing, about the man being the image and glory of God, it's talking about the man.

[25:21] But notice the woman doesn't get to be called the image and glory of God. She's the image, or the glory of the man. Meaning, the man is a reflection of his maker, the image and glory of God.

[25:32] Thus, it's true, like we studied in Genesis, she was taken out of man, not formed of the dust of ground, but taken out of man, and she is the image, or rather the glory of man.

[25:43] Moving on, verse number 8, For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man. Genesis chapter 1 and 2.

[25:54] Verse 9, Neither was the man created for the woman, but the woman for the man. So, it's pretty plain. Now, what the world says is, women, you are equal to the man.

[26:08] Women, you don't need a leader. You need to make your own way. You need to make your own decisions, and don't ever let a man stand in your way and tell you what to do, or usurp authority over you. That's the worldly look, and outlook, on the life of a young lady, a grown woman, whatever the case.

[26:25] And as you know, if you study and read your Bible, and if you love the Lord, you're going to obey His Word, that's not true. That's not what you were created for. That's not what God brought you into this world to do, is to make your own way, and to establish yourself, and make a name for yourself.

[26:43] The Bible says that the man, that the woman was created for the man. All right, now, already I know that that just doesn't sit well.

[26:54] And already I know that it makes some men in here a little uneasy, because, that's just not what I've been hearing all my life. And yeah, it's the Bible, but it's just so much easier not to talk about those things.

[27:08] It's so much easier just to, yeah, everything's fine, and not focus on those things, because that creates a division, and a little dissension, and a little friction, where there shouldn't be friction if we're Bible believers, and submit to the Scriptures.

[27:23] It doesn't give a man, and I'll never give a man, in the past, to beat a woman, or to talk down to a woman. He's to give honor unto her, as we read in Peter, and it even gives further instruction in Colossians along these lines.

[27:39] The man has to follow Christ, does he not? And he's told to love his wife, and to sacrificially love that woman. So men never get a pass to be brutes, and to dominate, in an unfair way, or a way that would gain them advantage.

[27:58] But, saying these thoughts, even bringing out these Scriptures, submit yourselves, be in subjection to your husbands, there's something about that, that goes against your flesh. And the spirit of this age, has been kicking that for so long, that it's easy, to lean that way.

[28:15] And I want to kick the spirit of this age, and bring us back to the Word of God, so that we're in submission to this book, and that we're right with God on all counts. This one especially.

[28:26] So I want to bring now, after we kind of establish the way things are, and what God established as doctrine, and the order, I want to throw in some cautions now, regarding maybe some potential issues, and dangers, and temptations, for specifically for the woman, in rebelling against this role, or this position, or just not being content with it.

[28:48] And you're told not to be content with it, from the world. So look at 1 Corinthians, this one I can't comment much on, but verse number 10, the very next verse in this passage, it says, For this cause ought the woman, to have power on her head, because of the angels.

[29:04] Because of the angels. What's going on now? Why is he talking about the angels? And there might be something there, that we could study, with the angels that left their first estate, in Genesis 6, how that they, the sons of God, saw the daughters of men, and so forth, and things that took place there.

[29:23] Maybe we could go that direction with it. But whatever the case, it certainly seems to be a warning here, and a caution to women, to stay submitted to their authority, and to their head, which is the man.

[29:35] Verse number 3. There could be some consequences, for stepping out. Ones that you don't even perceive, and can see, and understand. But some serious things, spiritually can be going on, that you're, the weaker vessel, not necessarily, or I should say, connected back to the serpent, in Genesis 3, and who was deceived?

[29:57] Who did he attack? The woman. Look at, look at, no, 1 Timothy 5. 1 Timothy 5, and let's notice that, Satan is still going after, the woman.

[30:10] 1 Timothy chapter 5. And if you're here, whether you're married, or a young lady, and you've, you've bought the line, that you should be something, and that you don't need a man, and you can go on, you better be careful, somebody's deceiving you.

[30:29] 1 Timothy chapter 5, and here's a passage, about some widows, and some widows, who are supposed to, adorn themselves, with good works, like we've already read.

[30:42] Verse number, verse number 13, it describes them, kind of wandering around, getting into trouble. He says, and with all they learn, to be idle, wandering about, from house to house, not only idle, but tattlers also, and busy bodies, speaking things, which they ought not.

[30:59] That'll come up later, they're speaking things, which they ought not. I will therefore, this is Paul's advice, to the younger women. I will therefore, that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion, to the adversary, to speak reproachfully.

[31:14] Notice the next verse, for some, are already turned aside, after Satan. Satan, like, the one from the beginning, that came after the woman.

[31:27] He's still going after, the woman, and deceiving, and turning, they're turning aside, after him, and not even knowing, what they're doing, being idle, tattlers, busy bodies, speaking things, they ought not.

[31:38] And Paul says, it's so much better, you, if you marry, and get under, the authority of a man, and bear children, and guide the house, you'll have plenty to do. Say amen right there.

[31:51] You'll have plenty to do, to keep yourself occupied, and keep yourself away, from temptation, and falling into, a snare of the devil. And so, right away, those thoughts, come up in your heart.

[32:03] This, you've been, because you've been taught, for so long, women doesn't have to, stay in the home. She can be out, in the workforce, and take, and you know, create her own career, and be the provider, and all, you know, you've been pushed, that direction so much, that it feels like, I'm saying, the woman's place, is in the home, and you have to stay there, and just wash dishes.

[32:23] That's not what I said. So, don't let that spirit, or that temptation, or that voice, put words in your mouth, or thoughts in your mind. Just stick with what the Bible says.

[32:33] Paul says, I will, let the younger women marry, rather than, getting themselves caught up in this, and actually, being deceived, and led to Satan. I'd rather they, got under the authority of a man, and, were productive, and had a home, a happy home, a godly home.

[32:50] And there's so much value in that. All right, now let's move forward. Let's go to 2 Timothy chapter 3. Satan is still going after the woman. And an idle woman, is easy prey.

[33:06] 2 Timothy chapter 3. All right, notice this. Verse 1, All of this is so true.

[33:28] And verse 5 says, Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away. For of this sort, are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women, laden with sins, led away, with diverse lusts, ever learning, and never able to come, to the knowledge of the truth.

[33:49] Why is he targeting the women there? What is the deal with this? That's who's being targeted. In verse 6, they're leading them captive, laden with sins.

[34:01] They creep into houses, and lead captive silly women, laden with sins. Led away. Just like earlier, turned aside after Satan. What is it that, why is it the woman, that's being targeted, and turned away?

[34:16] Come to Titus. Just a page or two to the right. Titus chapter 2. I just want you to see that. Look who's being targeted again, and look who's falling for it. Titus chapter 2.

[34:27] And verse number 3. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior, as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

[34:56] Boy, oh boy, there are some consequences that can turn up when a woman resists her role that God has given her and her position under her authority.

[35:07] She's rebelling against the word of God, and the word of God is blasphemed, and it's despised and looked down upon and profaned by the lifestyle of some, and by the testimony of some professing Christians.

[35:22] Now, come back to the left again, to 1 Timothy, and chapter number 6, because there's stuff that's going on today that's just become accepted in the church, and it's going to continue a road, something that I believe Satan's involved in from the beginning.

[35:47] So, 1 Timothy chapter 6, and just let me give you a few verses here to build something, hear a thought. Verse 3, Paul says, if any man, any man, notice the singular, any man, teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[36:06] He says, that man's proud, knowing nothing, doting about questions, strives words, and so forth. If any man, teach otherwise. So, he's warning them about a man that'll show up and teach things contrary to the truth.

[36:21] Now, look at 2 Timothy chapter 4, and watch what he says is going to happen in the latter times or in the end days.

[36:33] In his days, he's warning against men that are teaching, or if any man teach any other thing. But in the future, verse 3, 2 Timothy 4, verse 3, for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth to be turned in the fables.

[36:59] He doesn't identify this as men. We think men, but he doesn't say men. He said any man earlier, but then he says the time's coming when they're going to heap to themselves teachers having itching ears.

[37:12] Now, let's keep that thought in mind and go to 2 Peter. 2 Peter 2. Teachers. They won't endorse sound doctrine, but they sure will like to have some teachers, and they'll submit to them.

[37:31] But their gender is not identified, but Peter identifies some. So, 2 Peter 2, in verse 1, notice the false teachers.

[37:44] But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you. False teachers. Just like Paul said, they'll heap to themselves teachers who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord have bought them, bring upon themselves swift destruction.

[38:03] Now, through this entire chapter, he carries this thought of these false teachers and uses pronouns like they and them and themselves all through it, denying the Lord that brought them, bring upon themselves.

[38:20] Verse 2, many shall follow their pernicious ways. So, it's teachers that carries through the entire chapter. Verse 18, for when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through must-wantness.

[38:34] Now, he doesn't identify a gender until the very last verse. In the last verse, he does it through a proverb. Notice verse 22, but it has happened unto them, the false teachers that Paul warned and Peter's warning against, it has happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his, male, own vomit again, and the sow that was washed to her, female, wallowing in the mire.

[39:02] The only way that this makes sense and is clear and is true is that the teachers are both male and female in the last days, in the end times, where they'll not endure sound doctrine anymore because doctrine divides, it's too much truth, it's too straight and narrow, but rather they'll heap to themselves teachers plural.

[39:23] And some of those teachers already are, so I don't have to be prophetic here, they already are women. They already are. Right now as I speak, somewhere on this west coast is a woman standing in front of a congregation with a form of a Bible and she's telling them how to live their lives.

[39:46] And some of them are dressed all jazzy and walk around on stage and do little dances and jigs and men love to have it so. Somewhere along the lines this started happening, but it was slow and it was incremental and it began to shift and I mean there's all over the place, there's men and women that are the pastoral staff or team.

[40:09] There's pastor, it would be like saying Pastor Toby and Pastor Carla. No. Yeah. Never. Sorry Carla.

[40:22] It's going on. It's in our neighborhood, it's around the world, it's around this county. There's women that are preachers that have stepped in that place of authority. What did our scriptures teach us?

[40:33] The woman is not to usurp authority over the man. It's not to happen, but it's happening. So why is it happening? Why is it being allowed? Why is it happening in churches? Why are people coming and sitting before a woman preacher?

[40:49] Why is that happening? Why are women considered equal to men when the scripture says they're not, the world says they are, and now the church is accepting the world's point of view?

[41:02] Why are women teaching and violating the scripture by doing so? And usurping that authority and ignoring her head and speaking great swelling words.

[41:13] Notice, and remember, I've already pointed these out a little bit. So look at 2 Peter chapter 2 and look at verse number 10. It's just the wording. It's just so, it's everywhere.

[41:23] It matches. Your Bible's perfect, but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed. That sounds like a woman that won't allow her head to be authority over her.

[41:37] Self-willed. They're not afraid to speak evil of dignities. They've just got a problem with the things that they speak. In verse 12, but these as natural brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed speak evil of the things that they understand not.

[41:54] That sounds like it again. And it goes back to Eve in the garden speaking with the serpent and she's speaking about something she understands not.

[42:04] Because what she quoted and told them was what God said, the word of God, was not the word of God. It was wrong. And verse 18. Verse 18 says, For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh.

[42:25] They allure through the lusts of the flesh. There's something to that. And I don't want to, I've got to be tender where I walk here or talk, but the lusts of the flesh and a woman alluring is, my goodness, that is just the spirit of our age.

[42:44] That is everyday life for the man. Somewhere, sadly, the man has put the woman or the woman's body as his God in America.

[42:58] And I can't put a finger on where it happened, but it's happened. And men love to put that image up all around them, surround themselves with it, at their work, at their homes, in their cars.

[43:12] They want to stare at it on their phones, on their TV screens. That's what they want to see. And you know how a man can come to church and stare at a woman?

[43:23] Well, that's what he's doing. Can listen to a woman? It's because he's staring at the woman. That's why he can sit there and watch her walk around in her fancy clothes and trying to put a check on my tongue here what I say.

[43:38] But you fill this blank in. I typed this into Google this week. The woman's greatest weapon is her blank. And I know what it is. But I wanted to see what Google was going to tell me.

[43:51] And Google suggested it's her mind. I thought, yeah, right. No offense, but that's not true. Now a teacher could tell you that. The greatest weapon's your mind.

[44:03] You know, encouraging a student. But it's not true. It's not true in the real world. And I'm not saying women are stupid or inferior. I don't mean that at all. Some would argue that it's the opposite. But it's not her greatest weapon.

[44:15] Some say that her greatest weapon is her education. Again, that might be trying to help somebody move forward, but that's not the truth, like the truth of her greatest weapon. Some say it's her love or there's other ideas.

[44:27] But what is a woman's greatest weapon? Well, what is it that men are driven by today? Their lusts. They're driven by their lusts.

[44:40] Even controlled by their lusts. The lust of their flesh. What they want to see and what they want to do. And women know it. Absolutely. You ladies, you know it.

[44:53] If you've lived in this world, maybe you've been sheltered from some things, good for you. But this world, as far as a man-woman relationship, women know how to control men using one thing.

[45:03] And men are dogs. And men are fools. And men are slaves to their lusts. That's the truth. And a man, you look at Proverbs chapter 5 and see a man, it describes him stepping out on his wife and going after a strange woman.

[45:21] And it ends by saying that he's going to be taken with his own sins. It describes the cords of his sins binding him up. It's his own lust chasing a woman that ties him up and destroys him.

[45:35] Now, in church, men today will allow a good-looking woman to be his authority because he loves to look at a woman. What do you think got David in such a mess?

[45:48] Seeing a woman? No. What it says when he looked upon a woman that got him and took him down. I'm going to run out of time here and I still got scripture to go over but I'll try to fast forward.

[46:00] Just let me say it like this. The greatest, the wisest man that ever walked this earth apart from Jesus Christ was King Solomon. Solomon in his Proverbs warned his sons over and over and over again about women.

[46:16] Proverbs chapter 2, Proverbs chapter 3, I think it is, and 5 and 7 and 9, he's warning and warning and warning about her flattering with her words, about her batting her eyes, using her eyelids, causing him to follow after her.

[46:31] We could run through these and you'll see that that behavior that he warned his son against is the man following the woman. That's backwards. It's supposed to be the other way around.

[46:42] He warned him that she's going to use something to cause him to follow her and to do what she wants him to do. And isn't it interesting and isn't it sad that that wise man loved many women, strange women, outlandish wives.

[46:59] He brought them in and you know the number of the wives and concubines. That blows my mind. Solomon fell to his own lusts and Solomon, I don't act like he was deceived.

[47:15] I don't think he was deceived at all. Not after hearing from his own words to his own son the warnings about watch out for this and when it came around and got him, he wasn't like oops.

[47:27] No, he was probably just tired of doing it that way and try something different and they caused him to sin. Lost the kingdom. In Proverbs chapter 31, Solomon's mom in verse number 2 said give not thy strength unto women.

[47:46] She warned him as a boy to watch out but he obviously didn't listen. In Esther we read about King Ahasuerus and his wife Vashti and the king's having a feast in the court with all his buddies and all his men in big wigs and he commands that his queen come down in the royal and so forth and she says, no, I'm not coming.

[48:14] She was having her own feast with her own friends in the house royal and so she's putting on her own show sitting as queen in front of all her subjects and all her big wig ladies and it would have been awful hard for her to submit to the man when he tells her what to do because she's lifted up and in that lifted up position she does not want to submit.

[48:35] She does not want to humble herself and it would end up being destruction to herself. Now one more place and we'll be done Isaiah chapter 3 and then I'll just just summarize the thoughts.

[48:50] Isaiah chapter 3 Isaiah 3 let's just read verse number 12 God's speaking to the future about his people Israel and he says as for my people children are their oppressors and women rule over them oh my people they which lead thee the women cause thee to err and destroy the way of thy paths women are leading the way causing the whole thing to fall apart and what I want us to get is that it's gotten completely backwards I showed you the order earlier God has established an order and he instituted it from scratch this was his design and his doing it wasn't like let's just trial run see if this works and how well it wasn't let's see if it evolves this is God's design and it was right and we submit to it because it's God it's the Bible his creation was a design with a man as the head over the woman as the human race dropped and plunged into sin women have rebelled against their maker and against their head and have removed themselves from that order creating confusion creating havoc and leaving society and God's system just completely out of order that is the woman has declared that she's equal with the man and that she belongs and she has every right to be where she needs to be and nobody can tell her otherwise she has elevated herself and know what she did to do that she got out of the order she did not stay under her head under Christ under God she stepped out and violated that order and destroyed it and said

[51:04] I'll be with you I'll be with Christ and with God and I'll deal and that's not going to work and so to get to where she thinks she is she's out here she's gotten out of the order what I see and I've been seeing it over my lifetime and it continues on and I'm prophetically telling you today this is the way it's going is there's a progression between the order being completely reversed and completely wrong and I'm not saying this because I'm not trying to like we've got to be careful men I'm not worried about my place I'll stay where I am under Christ I'm not going to allow a woman to get between me and Christ and start if that woman gets out of the way and I'm not speaking about my wife here but a woman in my life I'm not going to follow I'm going to stay with God that's my heart's intention but I believe that the man will submit to the woman and you watch you just watch you'll start seeing it if your eyes are blind to this you'll start seeing it now and it's going to start happening in your lifetime and in the next five and ten years or who knows the timing but the man will submit to the woman he already worships her he already caters to her because of his lust in a lot of ways she controls him there's a man a man

[52:27] I won't tell you his name but he's a preacher he's been around the world and he's a very he's a good guy he's a respected preacher and evangelist and things he's a missionary right now he's preached all over this west coast and even close by here and he came he's not from America but he came to America and his first trip here he spent time all over preaching in churches and going around and somebody asked him so what do you think of America and I was floored by his response his take on America as a bible preaching believing Christian serving God man of God his take was one thing among others but one thing he said was your women are very pampered and I thought ooh that's what he sees in this land he doesn't come from some Muslim country where you'd think it'd be terrible he comes he's a Christian home good godly church it's all good but his take here was the women are moving up men are men are giving place to the woman and like I said he's already worshipping her this might it might sound good to you ladies in a sense like ooh ooh we're gonna get our place and we're gonna get our way and be able to do what we want and not have to submit and you know those thoughts that just were probably scrapes at you on the inside a little bit if that's in your flesh at least it might sound good to you but it's satanic it's wickedness to get out of order it's destructive on many levels and this is not an attack on women especially the women of this church you can be relieved it's not an attack on you by any means women are not only to blame in this men are to blame men aren't following their creator instead they're driven by their flesh and like

[54:23] Roman says they worship and serve the creature more than the creator men are guilty they're absolutely guilty of not worshipping their creator and allowing this to take place but folks this is the word of God this morning this is the truth and this is what your God and your creator has done ladies specifically he's given you a purpose and a place and a role in this life his voice the Bible says declares things that are right and he has declared things that are right so don't be deceived by your own heart and don't be listening to the voices like Eve was listening to voices that sounded good for her and ended up being the worst case scenario don't be deceived don't follow the ways of the world either because the world's on its way to hell don't believe a word they tell you this is not my typical sermon I know that this is not the style this is awkward to me but this is something that's been coming up and coming up and not in here but just in my heart and mind and it just started to flow recently this week and I thought that's it and so I want to put it out there as truth I want to put it out there as something we submit to together because we obey the word of God and let the world go to hell that's where they're going they're following their God we're not going to follow him but stay true to the book stay true to God and find where peace is find where joy is find where real fulfillment in a relationship in a home and with God truly is and don't step out of that line and ladies I'll just say this in closing because you know questions come up that little line that thought of God

[56:07] Christ man woman what if the man isn't right with Christ what if he steps out what if he's lost or what if he doesn't care the woman can't go out and follow the man how is she going to be connected to Christ she has to stay in the line and that makes things tricky doesn't it I can't follow my husband because he's lost I can't follow my husband because he's backslidden you have to do what you know is right you have to do what you know is right from the word of God and stay in fellowship with Jesus Christ if that man is the one that steps out and causes the problem but don't you follow the voice and don't you follow the world to say step out and and switch places but that's where it's heading and I'm not a prophet but that feels like prophecy to me that it's coming around I think it is I've seen it work in that direction and I see it from the scripture now the devil's targeting women and he tried from the beginning and in the end times it's showing up and it's showing up and it's showing up this thing's coming around so let's quit there it's gone a little long and let's bow our heads together and we'll just have we'll just be dismissed in prayer I won't hold any form of invitation here but ladies you you consider now that the majority of these thoughts are toward you the doctrine here is toward you men you have an obligation to lead your wives in righteousness and follow Jesus Christ and stay in fellowship with him you have an obligation to do right and it's not just to God it's to those under you you have a role as a leader if you can't lead them the devil can pull them right aside pretty quickly but ladies you're going to hear the voices you're going to hear the temptation you're going to see the world you're going to live and rub shoulders with it and have pressure to go against what

[57:57] God says is what's right for you father I pray that you'll instill in us the truth and instill in us a true desire and devotion to you and to your word and lord may the world come up against us and let us not falter let us not fall let us stand true to the truth and be wise God give us all that that spirit that strength that we are rooted and grounded in the truth God some have turned aside after Satan he's definitely targeting the ladies as he was from the beginning the weaker vessel I pray that our relationships can strengthen in the home and toward you and God may we take serious our walk with you and may we not fall in love with the world and then allow it to get inside and start to change the way we look and think and so God just have your way with these thoughts I pray that it'd be a blessing and a help to us all as we seek and strive to follow the scriptures and to be separate from the world and we pray this in Jesus Christ's name amen amen I'm going to dismiss you with that I hope to see you Wednesday night and be prepared to and I love that cry and we'll be we'll specifically see you that what you've been with that is and maybe you we could cri with that and we could all and do and honor as together today and try and and but famous now and

[59:34] I'll be in the
