[0:00] Old Testament all the way to the end of the Old Testament, Zechariah 14 will be the place we begin tonight. I'm burning up up here. I've had that air on for, I don't know, since 3.30.
[0:27] I guess I'll have to start it at 3.30 in the morning. Sheesh, it's killing me. All right, Zechariah 14, and we are finishing a study.
[0:38] This will be the fifth week, I guess, of this series about their fullness, about the nation of Israel. And Paul describes them in the future when God takes them back in Romans chapter 11.
[0:51] And he asks some questions, which I'll not cover and repeat week after week. But we studied four different categories, three so far. The first being that their fullness is going to be the return of the Lord.
[1:04] And studied several things about that, predominantly here in the Old Testament prophets. Then it was the restoration of Israel. That took two weeks to cover the material there. Then last Wednesday was the regeneration of creation.
[1:16] That's going to be their fullness. When Christ comes back and things in this, on the dirt, the plants, the animals, it's all, they're groaning together in, what's the phrase?
[1:27] And groaning in pain together until now. And they want to be released from that curse that's been on them. And Isaiah describes that the wilderness is going to blossom and things are going to get turned back to the way God made them to be.
[1:41] And so then finally, tonight's category, number four, of their fullness and what that means in its entirety. And that is the reformation of civilization.
[1:54] That is, things are going to change. Things have changed drastically and dropped downwardly all the way from back in the beginning with the fall of man and then the curse.
[2:05] And then just one thing after another, down, down, down, to where every imagination of thoughts was evil continually. And God wiped the thing out with Noah.
[2:19] It never did get fixed. He tried to start over with Noah and then he just said, all right, well, I've decided already that I'm not going to destroy man and everything that I've created.
[2:30] So I'll start with Abram and I'll take a man and I'll make a nation out of him and I'll do some special things with them. There'll be a holy nation to me, a kingdom of priests and a peculiar people. And of that nation, they're going to know me.
[2:43] I'm going to bless them. The whole world's going to see who I am because of the way they live and because of the blessings they have that nobody else has. They're going to see my blessings that I tried to, starting with Eden, tried to start and it failed.
[2:56] Tried to do it with Noah, it failed. Now I'm going to do it with Abram. And as that, as you know, the history of Israel, down it went. But what God's going to do in the second coming of Christ and the fullness of Israel is going to rectify what has gotten out of hand.
[3:11] It's going to be the reformation of civilization. And so I got five points tonight to go under this category. And the first one is that it's going to be the reestablishment of a theocracy, not just the world.
[3:27] There's going to be one king. Look at Zechariah 14 and notice verse number nine. This is the day of the Lord, starting at the beginning of the chapter and the Lord landing on the earth.
[3:39] And in verse number nine says, and the Lord shall be king over Israel. Yes, but that's not what it says, is it? The Lord shall be king over all the earth.
[3:52] And that day shall there be one Lord and his name one. The Lord's going to be king. And later in that chapter, the nations are called to come up to Jerusalem to worship the king in verse number 16 and 17.
[4:04] And if they don't, there'll be punishment throughout the rest of that chapter. There's going to be a reestablishment of a theocracy. So let's go back now into Isaiah where we've been doing most of our studying here.
[4:17] Because this big book speaks loudly and consistently of a future kingdom. It speaks of the fullness of Israel.
[4:29] Isaiah chapter nine. And here's two verses that you all know. You've read these a thousand times almost. And when it comes to Christmas time, you hear them sung.
[4:43] The prophecy of the Messiah. Chapter nine, verses six and seven. This is the reestablishment of a theocracy.
[4:55] For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given. And the government shall be upon his shoulder. Singular, his shoulder. That is the man, the Lord Jesus Christ is going to govern.
[5:08] The government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end.
[5:20] Upon the throne of David, upon his kingdom to order it and to establish it with judgment and justice from henceforth even forever. So the Lord is going to be king over all the earth.
[5:30] And of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end. He's going to have a kingdom. So he is the king. Now let's keep that thought in mind and look back at chapter two of Isaiah.
[5:44] We've got a lot of scripture to cover, as always, on Wednesdays here, as it's been. So be ready. Isaiah chapter two. And I want to point out two more things to add to that word king and tie it together somewhere else.
[6:02] Verses two through four. And it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above all the hills and all nations shall flow unto it.
[6:15] Unto what? The mountain of the Lord's house. This established place where the Lord is here on the earth. Verse three. And many people should go and say, come ye and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob.
[6:27] Why? And he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
[6:39] So not only is he going to be king and governor, ruler over the planet, but the nations are going to come to him to learn. Because he's going to teach him his ways or this is the it's going to go forth the law.
[6:53] Just keep that word in mind. And the word of the Lord. Now verse four. And he shall judge among the nations. So you've got a king that is also acting as the judge, the judicial branch of government.
[7:08] And he's also giving out the law, the legislative branch of government. All one person. The Lord Jesus Christ. This theocracy is going to be one person running the show, making the rules, and will follow.
[7:24] Perhaps we'll get involved as ruling and reigning with him. And perhaps I may mention this a little bit later tonight. If we have time, some of the thoughts about reigning with Christ as king and what that may entail.
[7:41] But he's the boss, no doubt about it. Come to Isaiah now. Chapter number 33. This is a reestablishment of a theocracy.
[7:52] And considering the government that he establishes where he is. We know him from the scriptures as being prophet, priest, and king. Those three terms kind of go hand in hand.
[8:04] That trinity of Jesus Christ and the offices he holds. But as far as the government concerned. As far as the kingly side is concerned. Notice the three branches that the United States even holds as their government.
[8:17] Is what the Lord Jesus Christ is himself. Verse 22. For the Lord is our judge. Number one. The Lord is our lawgiver. Number two. The Lord is our king.
[8:29] He will save us. This is the future. This is when Jerusalem. And we'll come back through this chapter several times. Even tonight. So don't worry about keeping your place.
[8:41] We're going to move on. But there's the three branches of our government right there. At least the way it was established. To where one doesn't have greater power over the other. We have a judicial branch.
[8:51] And there it is. The Lord is our judge. The Lord is our lawgiver. The legislative branch. And then the executive branch of our government. Where the Lord himself is in that spot. In the future kingdom of Israel.
[9:02] The Lord is our king. So it's nice that our nation is established off of that principle. Biblical thought there. But God doesn't need that. He's just going to do it.
[9:12] He's going to take it all over himself. And so there will be. The reformation of civilization. It's going to start with. This king. Taking over. And establishing some things.
[9:24] And that's the form of government. Now that's the first point. Now the second one. In this kingdom. As the reformation of civilization goes. Is going to be the regulation. Of righteousness. What do I mean by that?
[9:35] Come back to chapter 11 of Isaiah. The regulation of righteousness. So people are going to come to him. And say teach us your ways. And the word of the Lord is going to go forth.
[9:45] And guess what? It's going to be right. It's going to be righteousness. It's not going to be these laws. Where allow. That allows sinners. To rejoice. And have months. Where they celebrate their sins.
[9:56] That's going to be gone forever. Thank God. You're not going to be dealing with this garbage. The king's going to establish righteousness. And it's going to be regulated.
[10:06] Look at chapter 11. Verses 1 through 5. And there shall come wisdom and understanding. The spirit of counsel and might. The spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
[10:17] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord. And he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes. Neither reprove after the hearing of his ears. But with righteousness shall he judge the poor.
[10:28] And reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rot of his mouth. And with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins.
[10:39] And faithfulness the girdle of his reins. You can count on what comes out of Zion. And the laws that come forth from God's holy city to be right.
[10:49] And he's going to have the world live in right. It's going to change. It's going to change. It's going to change. Look at chapter number 16. After learning, after getting in my Bible reading and learning some things about what God said.
[11:04] What his plans are. Who he is. How he operates. And what he's going to make this world to be. It just makes me long for it. Like, why can't it be now? Why do we kind of live in this mess?
[11:17] Even in America. I mean, good night. Two parties. Where did that come from? Two parties that fight each other tooth and nail. And what is that all about? Don't get sucked into that, by the way.
[11:29] Be above that. God's bigger than that. Don't get so sucked into that. The regulation of righteousness. Look at chapter 16, verse 5. The Bible says, And in mercy shall the throne be established.
[11:41] And he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David. Judging and seeking judgment and hasting righteousness. I like it. There'll be a lot to undo when he comes back.
[11:54] I mean, it's just a mess. Each form of government all over the nation, all over the world, and all the things that they've got going on, the men in power, there'll be a lot to undo. And so the Bible says he's going to be hasting righteousness.
[12:07] It's going to clean up quick. Look at chapter 26. Isaiah 26, and verse number 9. 26, 9.
[12:24] With my soul have I desired thee in the night. Yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early. For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
[12:37] Amen. Amen. It's going to be the regulation of righteousness on this planet. The reformation of civilization. When Jesus Christ comes back and establishes his kingdom, the theocracy of his ruling the world, he's going to set some rules, set some laws, and there are going to be righteousness.
[12:55] It's none of this back, I don't even know how to say it, the handshakes behind closed doors and, you know, things that are worded in the laws where it's such and such a way, but really what's happening, none of that.
[13:11] That's all gone. It's going to be up front. And look at chapter 32. It's going to be clean and pure and right. And if you've got a problem with it, well, we'll see what happens then too later.
[13:22] Chapter 32, verse number 1. Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. Who do you think the princes are ruling in judgment?
[13:36] Well, there's going to be 12 apostles or 12 disciples of Jesus Christ that are sitting on thrones, according to Matthew 19, and they're going to be judging the 12 tribes of Israel, but that's just Israel.
[13:51] And that's established of God that that nation is 12 tribes. That's not the United States of America, and that's not Syria or Iraq or whatever they'd be called at that time, maybe back to Babylon.
[14:03] That's the nations of this world. I don't know if the United States is still going to have 50 states. Maybe Russia takes over Alaska. Japan comes down and takes over Hawaii or something.
[14:15] Who knows how it's going to pan out in the future, what the nations will look like at this day, not to mention after the tribulation's over and all of those terrors and troubles that go on this earth.
[14:27] Who knows how the things are going to shake down in the very end. But we read about prophecies against certain nations, against Egypt. They're still a nation. We read against Assyria.
[14:38] They've got something going on, at least in that land. But there'll be princes that are ruling in judgment. And if you know your Bible and you read in Luke that the kingdom of God application to the one man going off in a far country coming back and those servants that worked for him, they received cities as rewards.
[14:59] And it seems like the application there for the church age is that you could be ruling and reigning with Christ over cities and be part of his government establishment. And if that's the case, maybe you'll get to help regulate righteousness.
[15:14] That's something I'd love to do. I'd love to do it now. But no one would listen to me if I did it. But one day, if God gives me a city or one or two or five or half of one, whatever he would give me if he should so choose, I'll get to regulate righteousness.
[15:31] And I'll get to make some laws. He'll be in Zion. And the nations will be flowing to him and worshiping him and praising him and entering into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise.
[15:42] And I'll be over here somewhere, if he stations me wherever, doing what he wants done in that part of the earth. And you can let your mind wander. I've already let mine wander about what it'll be like and how I would rule it.
[15:55] And it would be representing the Lord Jesus Christ. In that city or town. And if anybody has a problem with it, they can go live wherever Joel Osteen might be reigning.
[16:08] Or if he would get something. I don't know. He can go somewhere else. But if they're going to be in my town, I'm telling you what, it's going to be done right. Kids are going to learn the book in Bible class in school.
[16:20] It's going to be Bible school for the kids. And then math. And, you know, that'll be secondary. We're going to, it's going to be right. Praise the Lord. It's coming. Look at verse 16 and 17 of the same chapter.
[16:33] Verse, chapter 32. Verse 16. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness. And righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace. And the effect of righteousness, quietness, and assurance forever.
[16:46] Boy, when things are done right, what's the result? Peace on earth. But, you know, you've got to have the righteousness first. Christ isn't just going to come back as the prince of peace and say, okay, peace.
[16:59] Everything's quiet. He's going to start by setting forth some rules and regulations of what's right and what's wrong. And when people start doing what's right, because they're going to learn the fear of the Lord, by the way.
[17:12] In the Psalms, he says, tells the children to come. I'll teach you the fear of the Lord. And as that happens across the world, I mean, worldwide, the world is not learning about Allah or learning how to pray to how many hundreds of thousands of ancestors or whatever they're learning, being trained and brainwashed and damned because of it.
[17:31] They're not going to be praying, rubbing beads and lighting candles. All that's going to be gone forever. And everybody's going to be learning about the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, who he is. He's right over there.
[17:43] I mean, CNN, if they're even around, they'll be showing him. And so will Fox News. So will MSNBC. All of that's going to be gone. I don't know what the color.
[17:53] It won't be red or blue. It'll be something else. White, I guess, as far as purity. Nevertheless, righteousness will reign. And the result of that is peace.
[18:04] And just keep that thought in mind. We'll get there in a second. Look at 54. Isaiah 54. And verse 14. This is a load of Bible here.
[18:15] I hope you're ready for it. This is what the book says. And I hope that as I let my mind wander into these scriptures, I hope that doesn't bother you or make you think like, well, I've never heard that before.
[18:32] So what? Just get in the Bible and realize this is real stuff. I mean, it's as real as you're sitting in a pew where I'm standing, that you're breathing air. This earth is going to change. The God of glory is going to come down here.
[18:44] And he said what he's going to do. So, I mean, the plants are going to grow. The sun's going to be there. You're going to have life on planet earth. And it's going to be real.
[18:56] So this is not some fantasy stuff. I know it's hard to wrap our mind around some of it sometimes. Chapter 54, verse 14. The Bible says, In righteousness shalt thou be established.
[19:08] Thou shalt be far from oppression. This is about Israel. For thou shalt not fear. And from terror, for it shall not come near thee. They'll be established in righteousness. That's where you establish things.
[19:21] Doing right. Come to the next one. It's chapter 61. Isaiah 61, verse 11. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause, you guessed it, righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
[19:48] I can't even comment. I don't know what to say. Just like God's going to fix it. Like we studied last week about the Garden of Eden. How he's going to make this creation, the regeneration of creation, like as it was in the Garden of Eden.
[20:03] Here he said, just like the earth is going to do that, bring out and just pump it out. That's what the nations are going to be producing is righteousness. You've never seen a thing like it in your life. You've never seen a thing like it.
[20:13] Except for maybe to live in sin for X amount of years and to come to the knowledge of the truth and to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior and to be made a new creature in Christ Jesus.
[20:26] And as you grow in the Word of God and all that starts changing, you see such a change from darkness to light. that personally is going to be worldwide.
[20:37] I don't mean just in individuals. I mean the planet. This earth is going to be from darkness to light when Christ rules. Righteousness is going to spring forth before all nations.
[20:50] I can't wait. I can't wait. Come back to chapter 54 now. Isaiah 54. As already mentioned, what follows doing right and living right and following God's laws and the Word of God is peace.
[21:05] And so number three tonight in this category of the reformation of civilization is the reinstatement of peace. Look at chapter 54.
[21:17] And we, let's see, we'll read verses 7 through 10. 7 through 10. And for a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.
[21:29] In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me.
[21:41] For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee nor rebuke thee, for the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord, that hath mercy on thee.
[22:03] Verse 13, he says, And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord in great peace, or great shall be the peace of thy children. Notice we read 14, In righteousness shalt thou be established.
[22:15] So this blessing is to Israel because they've been the ones that have had their enemies at their throats, and, you know, right before this kingdom's established, even more so than we've ever seen it, but history will back that up as well.
[22:33] And God promises them, You messed up and I let you have it, but when I establish my covenant of peace with you, it's just like the thing with Noah. I am not going to undo that one.
[22:44] And what he did with Noah, he's even, we've read this a few weeks ago, he's like, I forget the passage now, he describes the covenant he has with the light and the darkness and the seasons and the sky, and if that's going to change, then will my covenant change with you?
[23:00] But that's not going to change. So the reinstatement of peace. Oh, I got a couple verses here to run to. Let's do it. Chapter 2. Peace, not just in Israel.
[23:14] It's going to affect the world. Come to chapter 2. Here's a verse that we all are familiar with. A verse that I believe it's in Micah as well.
[23:30] Chapter 2, verse 4. That's the Lord Jesus Christ setting up a kingdom and telling the nations it's over.
[23:55] All of it. Squash it. Don't make me get involved. You don't want me to get involved. In Psalm 2, it says, kiss the son lest he be angry.
[24:05] And his wrath is kindled but a little. You don't want to stir him up. You don't want him to shout from Zion and have him send the streams of fire your way.
[24:22] All right. It's the reinstatement of peace. Come to chapter 11 and verse 9. Here's another one that you're familiar with. Chapter 11, verse 9.
[24:32] Right after verses we read last week about the regeneration of creation with the wolf dwelling with the lamb and so forth.
[24:42] Verse 9 says, they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
[24:53] Things are going to change. Chapter 14. And look at verse number 7. Chapter 14, verse 7. The whole earth is at rest and is quiet.
[25:09] They break forth into singing. Now, if I put together a list for you, it'd take too much time to do this, but if I give you a list of the wars that have been in this planet, you'd be shocked to hear how many just in 2021 of the civil wars, tribal wars, national things going on.
[25:28] You just know of the big ones that hit the headlines that come your way when you, you know, turn your head toward it. But we're not in tune to the world and to how many people are on this planet and how much fighting is going on all over this globe.
[25:46] And if I started reading you just what's going on now or in the last five years, you'd say, I had no idea how much fighting was going on. But one day, Christ is going to put an end to it and reinstate peace on this planet.
[26:02] The earth will be at rest and quiet. Amen. It'll be nice. It'll be quite nice. Look at chapter 33. I mean, on a big level and on a little level.
[26:17] Road rage, cutting people off, in the supermarket, pushing and shoving, all of that's gone. Chapter 33.
[26:29] And verse 20. Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities. Thine eyes shall see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down.
[26:45] Not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken, just peace. Jerusalem means city of peace.
[26:56] And that day, it was named that for a reason, and that day is when it's going to happen where it's real, where it's never been yet. But to that day, it'll be the city of peace.
[27:07] When the prince of peace is reigning in that. Remember we read in chapter 9 that he's the prince of peace, and that of the increase of his government and his peace, there shall be no end.
[27:19] He's ruling from that spot. Look at chapter 60. One more on this. Chapter 60. And verse 18. The reinstatement of peace.
[27:34] Chapter 60, verse 18. Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders. But thou shalt call thy walls salvation, and thy gates praise.
[27:47] So they won't be yelling at each other anymore, they'll be praising the Lord. They'll be glorifying God. And man will have something else to do, instead of fight with one another.
[27:57] So this is the reformation of civilization. The reestablishment of a theocracy. The regulation of righteousness. The reinstatement of peace. And now here comes some interesting stuff.
[28:08] Number four tonight is the restraint of sinners. Look at chapter 33. The restraint of sinners. What do you mean? I mean, well, the human race continues on.
[28:20] As Christ establishes this kingdom, human nature, it still exists. But how do you think you're going to act when God is on the planet and establishing a kingdom and everybody knows right from wrong and they don't get any gray areas anymore and they don't get to get a lawyer to sneak over their way out of it and swindle something.
[28:43] Everything's done in righteousness. How do you think man's going to react? What do you think a sinner or a wicked man is going to do? Look at verse 14. Here, I'll tell you what he's going to do. The sinners in Zion are afraid.
[28:56] Fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
[29:08] They're afraid of that. That being on the throne who could put them in the fire pretty quickly. And he will. And they'll see it happen.
[29:19] And when you see it happen, you're going to keep your mouth shut. You're going to tiptoe. You're going to restrain yourself. It'll be the restraint of sinners. Look at chapter 35 and verse number 8.
[29:35] 35, verse 8 says, And in highways shall be there and away, and it shall be called the way of holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for those.
[29:50] The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. You know why? Because they're going to restrain themselves. They're going to know.
[30:01] They're going to know better. They're going to be afraid. They're going to be surprised by fearfulness. Today, the fools and sinners of this land, they boast of their sin.
[30:15] They don't have any trouble with that. No repercussions. Because they've, it's, you know, slowly degraded further and further away from truth and from any standard of righteousness. And so, it's, you know, man, it's like back in the judges.
[30:29] No king in the land. No standard to hold man accountable for. So he can just say, I was born this way. Or he can just say, you can't judge me. Can't judge me for doing that because your truth is relative.
[30:45] My truth says that this is right. And so, man, so far from truth. But once it gets established, once it gets straightened, sinners are going to keep their mouth shut.
[30:57] You can mark it down. It's going to be a wonderful place to live. Because of the restraint of sinners when the reformation of civilization is a reality. I quoted it a little bit earlier.
[31:08] I messed it up. Serve the Lord with fear in Psalm 2. Kiss the son lest he be angry and you perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little. That's when the son gets the heathen for his inheritance.
[31:22] And you're supposed to serve him and reverence him and you don't want to tick him off. Not even a little. So sinners are going to restrain themselves.
[31:33] You know why sinners don't restrain themselves now? Because punishment is just not executed speedily. That's Ecclesiastes. And because that's the case, you know what the land's like.
[31:47] But it's not going to be the same way. One more point here tonight. And during this civilization and as the world gets reformed and gets back to righteousness ruled by Jesus Christ, peace on this earth, sinners, keeping it down, keeping it quiet.
[32:03] If they have an evil heart, they're going to keep it to themselves because they don't want to get caught. And the reason is because there's going to be a living, a visible reminder, number five, a reminder of his wrath.
[32:19] And look at chapter 30. Let me run just a few verses with you and we'll be done. Run a little chain here of verses. Some of these are really aimed at his return at the second coming, but I want you to see that this is the being that is ruling and reigning from that throne in Jerusalem and he makes some threats.
[32:40] So chapter 30 verse 27 says, Behold, the name of the Lord cometh from far, burning with his anger and the burden thereof is heavy.
[32:51] His lips are full of indignation and his tongue as a devouring fire. His tongue as a devouring fire. Verse number 30 says, And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard and shall show the lighting down of his arm with the indignation of his anger and with the flame of a devouring fire with scattering and tempest and hailstones.
[33:14] And then there's a prophetic reference there to the Assyrian, to the Antichrist getting tossed into a lake a fire into Tophet and his breath in the end of the chapter, the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone doth kindle it.
[33:31] And there's a fire that's going to be one that you can see. And that fire that's going to be visible on earth is going to be one that's a reminder of his wrath.
[33:42] The one that came back with indignation and he came back burning in his anger to execute judgment on the wicked the sinners in the kingdom, the men that would lean toward iniquity are going to have a reminder why not to go that way.
[34:01] Look at chapter 31 and verse number 9. The Bible says, And he shall pass over to his stronghold for fear and his princes shall be afraid of the ensigns, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion and his furnace in Jerusalem.
[34:19] That's the king of glory sitting on his throne. And he's described with fire, fire, fire, chapter 31, I'm sorry, 33, verses 11 through 14.
[34:32] We already read 14. Let's catch it leading up to it. You shall conceive chaff, verse 11, you shall bring forth stubble, your breath as fire shall devour you, and the people shall be as the burnings of lime.
[34:45] As thorns cut up, shall they be burned in the fire? Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done, and ye that are near, acknowledge my might. Sinners in Zion are afraid.
[34:58] Fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. And the questions again, who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
[35:09] And the answer is the righteous man. In verse 15, the one that's going to walk uprightly. Verse 16, he shall dwell on high. 17, thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty.
[35:24] The righteous man's not going to have any problem being around the Lord Jesus Christ. And you and I are going to be predestined to be conformed to the image of his son.
[35:36] And when we shall see him, we shall be like him. It'll be no problem for us. But sinners, ooh, they're going to be scared because we're still building up to it.
[35:46] It's going to be a reminder of his wrath. Chapter 34, verses 9 and 10, says, And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone.
[35:57] This is the land south. Bozerah in verse 6, and Inima in verse 6. This is the land to the south of Jerusalem and to the east.
[36:09] And those streams are going to be turned into pitch. We read about this river flowing from the temple and going forth into the land and healing and going all the way out into the sea and healing those waters that have been messed up pretty bad through the tribulation.
[36:24] Well, those rivers aren't coming down into this area. They're not healing anything because these streams are turned into pitch. The dust thereof into brimstone and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. Verse 10 it shall not be quenched night nor day.
[36:37] The smoke thereof shall go up forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste. None shall pass through it forever and ever. And then it gets into some spiritual beasts and devils that are going to be taken and cast into that place.
[36:54] Now one last reference now chapter 66 and we'll button it up here and I know this is a lot to take in. If you're not familiar with much of this this is future stuff it's prophecy it's something that God has declared and fully intends on establishing and following through with.
[37:16] Isaiah 66 and verses 23 and 24 all the way to the end of this book there's the reminder of his wrath it says and it shall come to pass that from one moon to another and from one sabbath to worship shall be an abhorring unto all flesh so as the gentile nations come to worship before the king lifted up in his beauty in Jerusalem they're going to be passing by a place where they're going to see the sinners they're going to see them and they're going to abhor them and it's going to be a reminder to them you don't mess with the king you don't mess with what he says when he says do it you do it what else do you need to say about it you read if you're not sure about it look at
[38:38] Mark chapter 9 Christ brings this up in the gospels he quotes Isaiah when he's teaching kingdom doctrine to the Jews Mark chapter 9 all the way to the end of the chapter and notice verse 43 and if thine hand offend thee cut it off it is better for thee to enter into life maimed that's not go to heaven you don't go to heaven without hands you don't enter into heaven so this is entering into the kingdom when he uses that term enter into life that's entering the kingdom as a human being it's better to go in that way than having two hands to go into hell into the fire that shall never be quenched where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched notice he quotes Isaiah that place that men are all flesh are going to walk by it says it will be an abhorring to all flesh they're going to see it same thing in verse 45 he quotes that three times right here and if thy foot offend cut it off it's better for you to halt into life again you don't die and go to heaven without feet this isn't that at all this is entering the kingdom having two feet be cast into hell into the fire that shall never be quenched where their worm dieth not the fire is not quenched once more verse 47 and if thine eye offend thee pluck it out it better for stuff just connects right back into the study on
[40:20] Sunday mornings in Sunday school with Matthew and to those certain passages where he even in this one right here but in other ones where he describes to fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell actually yeah both soul and body and body it's going to destroy your body in hell so let's get into another topic but let's back off to this when God comes back when Christ establishes that kingdom and it's a kingdom of heaven it's Israel's kingdom it's the one he promised not to me it's the one he promised to Abraham it's the one he promised through David and through Moses all this coming together and when he brings it together and their fullness I'll just read the verse again to close this in Romans 11 he says now if the fall of them be the riches of the world and the diminishing of them the riches of the
[41:24] Gentiles how much more their fullness if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world what shall the receiving of them be but life from the dead and that's the day we've been talking about when Christ comes back establishes a kingdom when he is the king the world is going to change the geography is going to change the creation is going to change civilization is going to change and Israel is going to be exalted never to be brought back down so he's going to fulfill he's going to fulfill now this is this is weak but he's going to fulfill all of this so what a day that will be for them we look forward to heaven we look forward to the Lord coming back for us to take us out of here the rapture of the church calling us away I can't wait make that be today but as these things in the future play out after that this is what's coming and
[42:25] I said it before I'll finish by saying it one more time out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak and what does God talk most about in this Bible he talks about the second coming of Christ and his kingdom so guess where God's heart is it's toward Israel it's toward their fullness and so you might as well pray for their peace and pray for God to get glorified through them and understand that that Bible most of it is not written about you it's not about God loving you and taking care of you it's about God having some promises toward a man a covenant he entered into that he's going to make happen and you can be on the right side or the wrong side of it so praise the Lord we know the truth let's have a word of prayer we'll be dismissed tonight thank you for being with us thank you to the visitors that are here great to have you and have a Wednesday night service with some new faces so praise the Lord for that let's pray father we love you we love that you've given us your words and that we can trust them fully lord there's a lot of folks out there that are they're just confused about the truth they're confused about the word of
