[0:00] I thank you for your graciousness, your hospitality, and your love of preaching.! I'm glad you love preaching. Amen?! The renewed ability to continue in an effort.

[0:40] Second wind is a phenomenon in distance running, such as marathons, whereby an athlete who is too out of breath and tired to continue suddenly finds the strength to press on at top performance with less exertion.

[0:55] It is sometimes referred to as the runner's high. The phenomenon has come to be used as a metaphor for continuing on with renewed energy.

[1:09] See, as an evangelist, I have the privilege of going around the country and oftentimes coming back to the same churches the following year.

[1:19] And I notice that brother and sister so-and-so, they're not here anymore. Pastor, what happened to brother and sister so-and-so? Well, I don't know.

[1:31] You know, they're just not here. I say, well, that's funny because last year they were, amen and praise the Lord, you know, just so excited and love the preaching and they're not here anymore?

[1:42] No, they're not here anymore. And I see that very often, very often. And it's discouraging. You get to know people, you become friends with people, and they're no longer in the race.

[1:56] And many of them end up in churches that don't even stand on the King James Bible. They're contemporary, they're into the contemporary music scene, they're into the whole kit and caboodle.

[2:08] And at one time they were faithful, Bible-believing Christians that loved the book and loved what this whole thing stood for. But they're not in it anymore.

[2:20] What happened? They ran out of breath. They needed a second wind. And they didn't get it. You know, the Bible says, for this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

[2:34] Sleep there is a reference to death. Death, weak and sickly. You know, we owe it one to another in the local church to be looking out one for another.

[2:45] You know, the Bible does tell us, be watchful and strengthen the things that remain that are ready to die. Be watchful. We should be watching out one for another.

[2:58] Not with a pointed finger, but with an open hand. To help one another, to encourage one another. Not everyone that leaves a Bible-believing church leaves because they're backslidden.

[3:11] Some are overworked. Nobody else is doing anything, and they're carrying the whole ball on their shoulders. They're overworked. They don't feel like they fit.

[3:23] They don't feel like they're significant. And, you know, that's our responsibility as brothers and sisters in Christ. To encourage one another. The Bible says to exhort one another daily while it's called today.

[3:34] Exhort. Lift them up. Encourage them. In other words, put some wind back in their sails. Some people just need a second wind. And we need to be watching. The Bible tells us to watch and pray, right?

[3:46] You can't really pray effectually if you're not first watching effectually. To watch out one for another. To encourage when you see someone's attendance in church starting to slip. Hey, Bob, where you been?

[3:58] I really miss you, brother. Hey, let's get together this week for a cup of coffee. I really miss, you know, talking with you. Having fellowship with you. Just to go the extra mile one for another. All through the Bible.

[4:10] All through the Bible. It's one another. Love one another. Comfort one another. You know, forgive one another. You know, one another, one another, one another. You know what God's trying to tell us? We need one another.

[4:22] We need one another. Some of the greatest men of God came that close to chucking it all at different points in their life.

[4:33] Moses, the greatest leader handpicked by God, had God's power on his life. But in Numbers 11.15, he said to God, If thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee.

[4:44] Kill me. Joshua, he said what? He said, Would to God we had been content and dwelt on the other side of Jordan. Wow. God told you to cross Jordan and you say it would have been better had we stayed on the other side?

[4:58] Okay. How about Elijah? It's enough now, O Lord. Take away my life. When he was hiding out in a cave and running from Jezebel. Job, let the day perish in which I was born.

[5:11] Better if I'd never been born. Wow. How did these great men of God get to the point of wanting to say, I'm done.

[5:22] I am done. They just made, you know, they let their tank get too empty. We need to stay full.

[5:33] The Bible says to be filled with the Spirit of God. We need to stay full. And you know, there's many ways that you can fill your car up if you want to. I mean, from your house, you could get a five-gallon can and you could walk to the gas station.

[5:46] You could fill it up and then walk all the way back to your house, put it in your car, and walk back to the gas station and fill it up and take it back to your car and walk to the gas station and fill it up. And then bring it back to your, that's one way to do it, right?

[5:58] We could do it that way. Or we could just bring the car to the filling station. And that's what the local church is, folks. It's a filling station.

[6:10] And that's how we need to look at it. Turn your Bible, if you would, to John chapter 20. I know what you're saying. Not me. That never happened to me. Right. It could happen to Moses and Elijah and Joshua and Job, but it could never happen to you.

[6:26] Joshua chapter 20. I'm sorry. Did I say Joshua? John. John. John. John chapter 60. Amen. John chapter 20.

[6:40] Look at verse 19 with me. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut, where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst.

[6:51] And saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you, as my Father hath sent me.

[7:06] Even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.

[7:17] Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Father, we do thank you for this time. And I do pray you'd be honored and glorified in everything said and done. And please give me that unction from on high. Power with the Holy Spirit of God.

[7:28] And I pray we'd be honest with the Holy Spirit tonight. Lord, as he touches hearts and leads us in all truth. I pray, Lord, we be honest. And do whatever it is you ask us to do by the end of this message.

[7:41] If decisions need to be made, that they do so. If there be one here tonight that doesn't know Christ as their Savior, tonight could be that night of salvation. A glorious night. And God, if there's decisions that need to be made by your saints, I pray, Lord, that give you the honor that's due your name.

[7:57] We've been bought with a price. We have no right to deny the Holy Spirit of God anything he leads us in. We love you and thank you. Pray you'd be honored in Christ's name. Amen. They were assembled on the first day of the week.

[8:11] Kind of like we are right now. On Sunday. They were together. But look in Acts chapter 2. Jump over a couple chapters. Acts chapter 2.

[8:21] And look at verse 1 with me. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[8:31] You know what that's called? Together, together. Together, together. They were together physically. And they were together spiritually.

[8:42] One accord in one place. And what happened as a result of that? Verse 2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

[8:57] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire. And it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.

[9:08] That's what happens at the filling station. That's what happens when you are together, together. In one accord. In one place.

[9:19] What does the Lord do? He fills you up. He fills you up. You know, notice though, what it says. It filled the house before it filled the hearts.

[9:32] It filled all the house. Then it filled the hearts. You know why? This is the filling station. This is where you come. It doesn't say that he fills the guy on the golf course.

[9:43] It doesn't say that he fills the lady that decided to go shopping instead of coming to church. It says he filled them in the filling station. Where they were of one accord in one place.

[9:57] Then he filled them up. We wonder why we run on empty. I'm thankful. See, I'm preaching to the choir right now. So this is good. You just need to be thankful you're here. Amen.

[10:10] But we wonder why we run on empty. Maybe it's because your seat is empty. You know, I didn't have time to stop. I would have, but I just didn't have time.

[10:21] Here's the bottom line, folks. And you know it as well as I do. We make time for what we want to make time for. What we want, we can make time for it. Period. Plain and simple. Nobody ever misses a vacation.

[10:32] Oh, I really want to go on vacation, but I just, I miss the opportunity. Yeah, right. You know, we'll make time for what we want to do. And church has to become a priority when you start to think of it as a filling station.

[10:47] And that's exactly what it is. You know, the world did a wonderful thing with COVID. It got them out of the workplace and it got them out of the church house. And online churches are going crazy.

[11:01] And I'll tell you right now, there's no such thing as an online church. No such thing. Got that? No such thing. Because the Bible says that they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

[11:16] And God wants us to assemble together. One accord, one place. Sitting at home with your laptop opened up on your coffee table or whatever and watching some online service.

[11:27] That's not church. That's not the filling station. And don't think for a minute that you're going to get along in your Christian life as well as those that take the time to come to God's house to listen to God's man preach the word to them.

[11:42] Online churches are going crazy. But I don't, like I said, I don't call them churches. You can call it a campus. You can call it a country club. You can call it whatever. But it's not a church. David said in Psalm 27, verse 4, One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.

[12:08] He wanted to be in church every day. Do you notice it said it was his desire? As we preached this morning, the difference between duty and desire.

[12:19] David said, that's my desire. That's my heart. I want to be in God's house all the days of my life, just not Sunday and Wednesday. That was his heart's desire.

[12:31] You know, did any of you not eat yesterday? Oh, you did? You found the time?

[12:42] You found the time to eat? I mean, breakfast, lunch, dinner? No problem? Nothing like tried to interfere with that where you couldn't, you know, shovel some food in your mouth?

[12:54] No. Why? Because you wanted it. Because it was your desire. You know, there's spiritual eating as well. And you have to have that same desire.

[13:07] If you want to be filled with the Spirit of God, you need to have that same desire for spiritual things as you do for physical, carnal things.

[13:18] I've never seen anyone's spirituality increasing while their church attendance was decreasing. Turn your Bible to Acts chapter 4.

[13:34] Acts chapter 4. Look at verse 31 with me. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together.

[13:50] Folks, I want you to notice that all three fillings of the Holy Ghost occurred when they were assembled together.

[14:19] Together in one place. That's when God chose to fill them up. That's when he chose to. So how do I recognize when someone's running on empty?

[14:32] You know, you ever run out of gas? What a pain in the neck that is. You know, you got to call someone. They got to bring gas. I mean, it's just, you know, you got to impose on others. I mean, it's just a problem.

[14:43] But, you know, when you run out spiritually, you're going to hurt those around you as well. As well as yourself. We need the filling of the Holy Spirit of God.

[14:55] Where do we get that, folks? We get it in the filling station. Right here. Right here. How do I recognize those that are running on empty? They're just missing a few basic things.

[15:08] Like what? Well, it's right there in the scripture. It says there in verse 31, they spake the word of God with boldness. They lack boldness with others as far as sharing the gospel.

[15:21] They don't have their boldness as far as standing up for what's right and denying what's wrong. You know, that boldness isn't there. You know, they'll be the ones at work.

[15:32] You know, somebody tells a dirty joke and they'll be the ones to laugh. Because they don't have that boldness anymore to stand up for the Lord. They're given a gospel track. No, there's just no boldness.

[15:43] Come on, we'd like to invite you out to go street preaching. No, not interested. That's not the case when somebody's filled with the Spirit. They lack boldness. Second thing, they lack unity.

[15:56] It said they were of one heart and one soul. When someone's running on empty, they really don't want anything to do with church fellowship. They don't want to be here. They may grace the doors every now and then, but they're certainly not going to be faithful.

[16:11] That unity is just not there. Where they used to get together with other brothers or sisters in Christ, now it's, you know, not interested. Just not my cup of tea anymore.

[16:23] And the last one, they had all things common. That means there was sacrifice. When one brother saw that that brother lacked, he helped and gave to that brother or to that sister. There was, you know, they shared what they had, one with another.

[16:37] There was sacrifice. That's what I see as missing when Christians are running on empty. There's a lack of boldness. There's a lack of unity. There's a lack of sacrifice. B-U-S.

[16:48] The bus. And Christian, we need to get on the bus. Get on the bus. Well, where's the bus going? Wherever the driver of the bus wants to take it. That's the one thing about being on a bus.

[16:59] Everybody's going in the same direction. One heart, one soul. Going in the same direction, following their pastor. We need to get on the bus.

[17:12] You're not going to be bold for the Lord if you're selfish. You're not going to be unified with the brethren if you're selfish. And you're not going to be sacrificial if you're selfish.

[17:25] You know, that selfishness, it causes somebody to draw back, to live on an island. And an island is all about you and not about others.

[17:38] And that's not somebody that's filled with the Spirit of God. You know, why do I doubt that megachurch members are filled? Have you ever seen a megachurch member out on a street corner preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ?

[17:50] Have you even one time seen a megachurch out on a street corner preaching the gospel? I live in Nashville, Tennessee, the buckle of the Bible belt. Where you can find four churches on each corner at any intersection.

[18:03] Tons and tons of churches. More churches with over 10,000 members than I can count on two hands. 10,000 members. I've lived there for 32 years.

[18:17] Never had one gospel track put on my house door. Nobody's ever handed me a gospel track. Nobody's ever asked me if I knew I was going to go to heaven when I died.

[18:28] Nobody's ever asked me. Never been witnessed to in 32 years. In the buckle of the Bible belt. Yeah.

[18:40] Don't tell me those people are full of the Spirit. I can tell you what they're full of themselves. It's all about you. And churches rise and fall on leadership.

[18:51] What are these people up here? God loves you. God wants to bless you. God wants to prosper you. It's all about you. You get these people that look for a church that just has the most amenities they can offer them.

[19:02] Oh, it's got basketball courts. It's got a gymnasium. It's got a Starbucks cafe. It's got everything you need. Because it's all about you. My goodness, you better thank God that you're in a Bible-believing church.

[19:18] I believe that the Bible-believing church is the remnant spoken of in Scripture. The remnant. The few that will follow the Lord. If there's a period, if there's a comma, I'm going to believe every single word.

[19:32] I'm going to believe punctuation marks. I'm going to believe capitalization. I'm going to believe everything this book has to say. And I don't know of any other denomination, religion, or what have you that believes that way.

[19:46] And you're fortunate enough, you're blessed enough to be here. How you found it, I don't know. God led you here. God led you here under this pastor.

[19:58] Praise God for it. But man, you better keep a second wind in you if you're going to make it to the finish line in good shape. You may be bold. Could you be bolder?

[20:10] You may be unified with the brethren. Could you be more so? When's the last time you had a family over to your house for supper? We're to be given to hospitality. When's the last time you gave of what you owned to a brother or sister in Christ here that was lacking?

[20:29] Sacrificial. Yeah, we could all be more than we are. We could be better filled. Yeah, some of us might be running. Our gas tanks might be half full. Maybe we're not on empty, but we're running at half full.

[20:40] Well, why not be all the way full? We talked this morning about the good, the acceptable, and the perfect. What's wrong with perfect? What's wrong with getting filled up? But it happens in the filling station.

[20:53] We need to remember that. You know, the Bible says be not drunk with wine. Whereas in excess.

[21:04] You know what a drunk is? Selfish. A drunk is selfish. It's all about him. Could care less about his family. Could care less about others. Just, it's about me. I want to get drunk. Boom. Gets drunk.

[21:14] It's selfishness. But it says, but be filled with the Spirit. If it's commanding us to be filled, that means that we have something to do with what level our gas tank is at.

[21:27] And are we doing everything we need to do to keep our tanks full? You know, you can have form without function. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

[21:41] Oh, you can get filled up in other ways. I mean, you could eat an entire bag of Snickers and get filled up. You could. You'd be full.

[21:52] Eat the whole bag, and you'd be full. With zero nutritional value whatsoever. Did no good for you. As a matter of fact, it hurt you. Now, there's many ways to get filled up.

[22:03] But our Bible commands us to be filled with the Spirit. The Spirit of God. You know, the Bible says that your joy might be full. Where does joy come from?

[22:13] It's a fruit of the Spirit. He wants our joy to be full. How is that gas gauge doing on your joy in your life? Are you enjoying what you're doing?

[22:25] Because if you're not, eventually, you're going to be on an island. You better enjoy what you're doing. You better enjoy this. And it appears to me, again, that you are.

[22:36] Praise God for it. But, if I were to come back next year, the year after, or whatever, I wonder if I would see your seat filled with you again. Or would it be empty?

[22:49] That's up to you. That's not up to anyone else. That's up to you. 100% you. It's not based on God. It's not based on your pastor. It's not based on the brethren. That's your choice as to whether or not that seat will still be occupied a year or two years from now.

[23:08] Turn your Bible, if you would, to Hebrews chapter 10. Hebrews chapter 10. And in verse 25, a verse we all know very, very well.

[23:24] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. Is that a command? Isn't that a command? We're not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. I wonder how many of us in here would have to stand up, raise our hands, and say, I am a disobedient child of God.

[23:40] Because I do. I forsake it. I sometimes come. I sometimes don't. That's my choice. I can do what I want. Yeah, you can do what you want. But the Bible, God, is commanding you to not forsake it.

[23:54] And the question whether or not we want to be disobedient children of God. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is. I wonder why they put that in there. Just to let us know that not everybody obeys this command.

[24:08] But exhorting one another. And so much the more as you see the day approaching. Do you believe that we're closer to the Lord coming back today than we were yesterday?

[24:21] Do you believe that tomorrow we'll be one day closer even still? Then, Pastor, you maybe should say we're going to also meet on Tuesdays. And we're going to also meet on Thursdays.

[24:32] And possibly on Fridays as well. And all the more as you see the day approaching. Acts chapter 20. The disciples got together every day. Every day.

[24:45] Well, that was then. This is now. I know. I know. But I don't think any of us can compare ourselves to the disciples. You know, they gave it all up for the Lord Jesus Christ.

[24:55] Yes, not forsaking. Ladies, how would you feel if you got up one morning and decided you were going to make the most fantastic meal for your family?

[25:12] I'm going to make a great appetizer. And I'm going to have soup and salad. And here's the meat. And we're going to have a roast and mashed potatoes and gravy.

[25:23] And we're going to have an incredible dessert. And you put out the fine china. And set up the dining room table. And everything is just perfect. All right. And none of your family shows up to dinner.

[25:38] How would you feel? I'm going to kill somebody. Yeah. All that labor. All that effort. Do you know how long it takes your pastor to prepare four messages a week?

[25:53] Do you have any idea? Now, he's much smarter than me. So, I'll tell you that my average for doing a message was anywhere between six and seven hours per message. On average.

[26:06] Now, I preach my message that I get to go around the country. And I preach several of them over again. To people that have never heard them. Because I feel it's still good material.

[26:17] People still need to hear it. Your pastor has to prepare four new ones every week. And he gets up. And he labors. And he studies. And he prays.

[26:27] And he's thinking about you. His sheep in this church. And then you don't show up for the meal. How do you think that makes him feel?

[26:41] All that effort. All that time. All that prayer. Putting the message together so it just makes sense. And hopes so much that his people will receive it.

[26:52] To see that change. To see that growth. And then you don't show up for the meal. My mama used to teach me. She said, mind your manners. You know.

[27:02] Mind your manners. It would be rude. If someone went through all of that effort. Just like you ladies. All that effort to make a fantastic meal. And one by one they all call.

[27:12] Say, sorry I can't make it tonight. Sorry I won't be there tonight. Sorry, sorry, sorry. After all that effort. So, don't think for a minute. That pastors cannot be affected.

[27:25] By people that don't come to church. It discourages a pastor. Maybe your pastor is above that. Praise God. I wasn't. I wasn't. And I knew who sat there.

[27:37] And I knew who sat over there. And when their seats were empty. Oh, it just grieved me. And I'm up here trying to preach a message. And I said, oh, brother Bob really needed to hear this.

[27:48] I didn't prepare it just for brother Bob. But boy, he could have benefited from it. Have you ever considered how your absence affects your brothers and sisters in Christ?

[28:02] One another. Do you understand that? You can encourage one another. But listen to me. Let's say your pastor is preaching up here. And you're sitting there.

[28:13] And getting it. Well, that same message. Let's say he was on Facebook or whatever. And you were recording it live. And people sitting at home hearing the exact same message.

[28:27] How come they don't get filled up like you get filled up? Guess what? In here you have each other. I'm here to tell you something.

[28:39] You play a part in the filling of your brothers and sisters in Christ. It's not just the message. It's not just the pastor. You play a part in the filling of each other.

[28:52] And when you're not here, you affect each other. You see, you can watch a campfire on TV. But you'll never feel its warmth. You can watch a cooking show on TV.

[29:04] But you'll never taste it or smell it. You have to come to be assembled together. Together. In one place. In one accord.

[29:16] For what reason? To exhort one another daily. To help fill each other up. And when you're not here, it's that much less that your brothers and sisters in Christ are getting.

[29:29] You have no idea what you do for each other. Assembled together. Together. Together. Together. No handshakes.

[29:42] No hugs. No warm greetings. No discussion. You need each other. You depend upon each other.

[29:57] Turn your Bible to Philemon if you can find it. And verse 7.

[30:15] For we have great joy and consolation in thy love. Watch this now. Because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

[30:28] How about that? Just your presence has refreshed my bowels. I just feel in full. I feel good. I feel complete.

[30:39] Why? Just your presence. You don't have any idea what you've done. Just by coming and being here and being in fellowship with me. You need each other. And when you start to think like you don't need this church.

[30:53] You don't need this pastor. You don't need this Bible. I tell you again you're going to be on an island and you won't end up quite so well. You know there's probably people in this church that are here every time the doors are open.

[31:10] I don't know. I don't know you. But it could be someone here that is here all the time. So I'm going to say, brother, what was your name again?

[31:22] David. Is David here most of the time? David. Let's say that David was here every time the doors were open.

[31:34] And David wasn't here on any given day. You know what people are going to do? Where's David? Where's David? Has anyone heard from David? Anybody get a text or anything?

[31:44] David's always here. Where's David? Did he get in an accident? Did he have a problem? Is he sick? Is he in the hospital? Where's David? Now, obviously, I could have used the pastor as an example, but he has to be here.

[32:00] But the question is, if you missed, would people be that concerned about the fact that you weren't here? Or is that your standard operating procedure?

[32:15] You affect each other. You say, I just, I couldn't make it today. I understand. Things come up. But as I gave that example, yeah, last night. Oh, no, that was, I don't know when it was.

[32:27] But I gave the example of Mrs. Lila Craig in a Nashville paper who hadn't missed church in 1,040 Sundays. And they wrote an article on her.

[32:38] 1,040 Sundays. She was in her 80s. Never missed church. And they said, doesn't she ever get sick? You know, doesn't she ever, like, have to go to a party or go on a picnic or have family over?

[32:52] I mean, what's, you know what, doesn't she ever have a problem with the preacher? 1,040 Sundays. What's the matter with Mrs. Lila Craig anyway? What's the matter?

[33:04] She loves the Lord. Like David, one thing have I desired, that I might dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. Wow.

[33:15] You know, but David didn't just stop at that. He said, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. I have things I need to ask the Lord. And I think he would want me in his house when I was asking him.

[33:30] I think he would want me to come to an old-fashioned altar, to do business with God. I want to behold the beauty. I want to listen to the singing like the Gorski family. I just, I want to be in God's house with God's people.

[33:42] This is where I want to be. That's my heart's desire. It's not my duty. It's my desire. That's the difference. You know, I asked the men last night.

[33:58] You know, how come none of you have ever named your kids Lot? What's wrong with Lot? Huh? How come you didn't name your kids Lot? How come you didn't name your kids Demas?

[34:11] Lot was a righteous man, a just man, the Bible says. And Peter, he was a righteous and a just man. How come you didn't name your kids Lot? Because of how Lot finished.

[34:23] He was an elder in the gates. He turned over, offered to turn his daughters over to the wicked men of Sodom. Ended up impregnating both daughters while drunk in a cave.

[34:35] Because that's how Lot finished. You won't name your kids Lot because of how he finished. Well, how about Demas? Demas walked with Paul. Walked with the apostle Paul.

[34:47] Can you imagine what that guy went through as far as beatings and whippings? If he was with Paul, then Paul was whipped five different times, 39 times. Demas probably had no skin on his back.

[35:03] But yet, because he, Demas, hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, 2 Timothy 4.10, nobody's going to name their kids Demas. How are you going to finish?

[35:15] You're going to finish well? You don't mind calling your kids David. Although he committed two of the most heinous crimes in the Bible. Stole a man's wife, sent him into battle to be killed so he could have his wife.

[35:33] Hope he's saved. But you don't mind calling your kids David. And you don't mind calling your kids Peter. Though he denied the Lord three times.

[35:44] Why? David got up. Peter got up. You know what they got? A second wind. You know what you're going to need to finish well?

[35:57] A second wind. Where does it come from? The filling station. Right here. You need each other.

[36:08] You need that preaching. You need a pastor to drive the bus. You need more boldness, more unity, more sacrifice. So that at the end of it all.

[36:20] Your kids and your grandkids can say. There lies a man. There lies a woman that loved God. I'm proud of them. I'm proud of them.

[36:31] And I'd love to name my children just like them. Will you finish well? The Bible says in Isaiah 40, 31.

[36:44] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. And they shall walk and not faint.

[36:56] Are you going to make it? Will you be here this time next year? Do you have a love for your filling station?

[37:09] Is it your heart's desire and not just your duty? Do you understand the need you have one for another? And the part you play in each other's lives?

[37:21] As far as the filling of the Holy Spirit. I don't know how your tank's been running. But you do and the Lord does. Maybe you just want to.

[37:33] Tonight come to an old fashioned altar. And thank God. That you've not run out of gas. Thank you Lord. Thank you that I'm still in church.

[37:44] Thank you that I'm still in the race. Thank you that I've not, you know, have been weak or sickly or sleep. Lord, thank you.

[37:54] Thank you Lord. Help me to finish well. Help me to get that second wind. So they're not having to drag me across the finish line.

[38:08] I can run. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Let's all stand tonight. Maybe some of you need to just come and talk to the Lord.

[38:24] Ask him for that. A little bit of extra second wind. You come. God help me to be here next year. God I want to be here.

[38:35] I don't want to quit my race. I want to go to the end. I want to make it in good fashion. I want you to be proud of me Lord. I want my kids to be proud of me. I want to leave a legacy behind.

[38:49] I want to be well remembered as to what I did for Jesus Christ. One thing have I desired. That will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord.

[39:00] All the days of my life. You come as the Lord leads. As people come. You allow the Lord. Liberty. Allow him liberty.

[39:12] Allow the Holy Ghost. To walk up and down in between the aisles. Into the recesses of your heart. Even hand him the keys. To some of those doors that might have been locked for years.

[39:25] And ask him. Lord. Is there anything in me. That needs a second wind. God bless you.
