[0:00] Vielen Dank.

[0:30] Amen. So let's begin our service of worship by singing from Psalm 8. Psalm 8 and we sing verses marked 1 to 5.

[1:15] How excellent in all the earth, Lord, our Lord is thy name, who hast thy glory far advanced above this starry frame.

[1:29] And we go on to verse 5. For thou a little lower hast, him and the angels made, with glory and with dignity thou crowded hast his head.

[1:41] Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5 to God's praise. O excellent in all the earth, Lord, our Lord is thy name, who hast thy glory far advanced above this starry frame.

[2:16] Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 8 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 9 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 9 verses 1 to 5.

[2:27] Psalm 9 verses 1 to 5. Psalm 11 to 5. Psalm 11 to 5. Psalm 11 to 5. Psalm 11 to 5. Amen. Amen.

[3:32] Amen. Amen.

[4:32] Amen. Let us pray. Our gracious Father in heaven, we come before you, the great God of all the earth, who called everything into existence simply by speaking the word.

[4:58] And you have made us in your own image. And you made us upright in the beginning.

[5:10] But we have perverted that which is right. And we are now corrupted. And we are now full of sin.

[5:21] And we have marred the image of God upon us. But we come, gracious God, before you, our maker, in the name of your Son, whom your word tells us that you sent into the world.

[5:40] Because you loved the world. And that we might be saved. We come boldly in his name. For we, your word tells us that he finished the work which you gave him to do.

[5:57] And by your grace, we proclaim that word, that truth, now. We pray for your Holy Spirit, who is present.

[6:09] That not one of us here would grieve your Spirit, quench your Spirit, or resist your Spirit.

[6:20] We pray for him to enlighten our minds in the knowledge of Christ, whom you sent to save us from our sins.

[6:33] Gracious God, we pray that we might be conscious of your presence. You are here according to promise.

[6:46] Whether we sense it or not. We thank you for that information. May it inspire us. May it encourage us. May it bless us.

[6:58] May it unite us in this one thing. that although we have perverted that which is right, Christ Jesus is our Savior.

[7:12] And he came into the world to redeem the world and to bring the world back to you. May we have this one united in this one thing that we return to God.

[7:27] And in that context, eternal God, we can only pray, Turn us and we shall be turned.

[7:39] Save us and we shall be saved. Be pleased to bless this congregation of your people. Provide a pastor for them in your way, in your time, in your nature.

[7:57] We ask, Lord, that you would bless your church in these days, particularly in the West, the Western world. We thank you, Heavenly Father, for all you are doing in the Southern Hemisphere.

[8:12] All you are doing in South America. All you are doing in Asia. South Asia especially. We pray. O Lord, return to the West.

[8:23] Return to our land. Return to Britain. United Kingdom. Return to Scotland. The land of the book.

[8:34] O Lord, for your name's glory. Return. We have grieved you away, but return, Lord. Return for your own glory. And for Christ's sake, we pray.

[8:48] We would commit to you, eternal God, Those who have particular need for prayer at this time. We pray that you might bless the voice of death wherever it is heard.

[9:02] Comfort and console those who are bereaved. And give the oil of joy for mourning. We pray for those who are seriously ill.

[9:14] And ask that you bless surgery, medication, treatment, therapies, medication. Where these things are available. And where they are not available.

[9:26] May it please you to restore them. Apart from any human means. If this be to your glory and their good.

[9:39] We pray, gracious God, you be with our young people. Growing up in an age of license. Where taxpayers' money is used to fund.

[9:54] Our young, to experiment and trifle with what your word prohibits. Encourage parents that seek to bring them up correctly in your fear, in your word.

[10:12] Assure them their labor is not in vain in the Lord. As far as you are concerned. We ask, O Lord, that you be with your church.

[10:23] In these days of blasphemy and rebuke. In these days of spiritual drought. O Lord, come down. Come down. Send your Holy Spirit.

[10:36] Return in reviving power. We humbly pray. We're utterly unworthy. But for your own name's sake, grant it. Be with our leaders.

[10:46] Be with world leaders. Be with world leaders. Who do not know you. O gracious God. We pray.

[10:57] Deliver us from destroying ourselves. We're destroying ourselves. Deliver us, O Lord. Deliver us, we pray thee.

[11:09] Our own nation, Lord, has intentionally removed from its statute book every remembrance of your word.

[11:23] Graciously, we pray. Convert them. Or replace them with those who would fear you.

[11:34] And bring us back to your word. And your ways. And now, Lord, we turn to your word.

[11:45] Be pleased to make it effectual to salvation. If there are unsaved, unconverted people here.

[11:57] Show them Christ. Show them their own sinfulness and sinnership. And show them Christ's saviourhood.

[12:08] And is not able to save them. And is not able to save them to the uttermost. By simply believing upon him. So grant us this faith which saves the soul.

[12:23] Bless your word. Convict the Christless and the careless. Challenge us all. Encourage those who are discouraged.

[12:36] enlighten those who walk in darkness strengthen the weak of the flock and oh Lord please feed the hungry soul you feed the hungry soul and Lord if there's any wandering sheep strain on the mountains stretch out that long arm and bring them back bring them back to the shepherd bring them back to the fold bring them back to the gospel to your word now Lord keep us all keep us all in your love keep us all in your fear speak now Lord you speak for we pray only in Jesus name alone Amen well boys and girls I'm going to tell you a story today

[13:39] I know it's around Christmas time but this is actually a story about Sunday school holidays all the young boys and girls were playing around and they were playing hide and seek and they ran running about and all of a sudden this boy realized that he had kicked accidentally kicked an ant fill and when he realized that he was so sorry he saw the ants running about in a terrible panic and he was so sorry for them and he was trying to speak to them and he said I'm sorry I'm sorry it was an accident I didn't need it I didn't need it and his parents come over to him and said and his parents come over to him and said well you know he says they can't understand you you're telling them you're sorry but they don't understand they'll not understand you the only way they could understand you is if you became an ant well you know this

[14:39] God is so different from you and me that there's such a gulf between us that the only way that we could understand the only way we could be saved is if God came himself to be one of us and that's exactly what Jesus did Jesus is God and our sins are so bad nothing can pay for them except death and God said you see he wanted to pay for their sins but God can't die so God had to become a man and the second person of the God that is Jesus Jesus Christ is God and he came and he became a human being so that he could die and pay for our sins because it's human beings that sinned so human beings have to pay for it by human being dying and so Jesus became a one of us he became one of us would you like to become an ant like that boy oh I can't become an ant but Jesus was God and he became a human being so that he could die and pay for our sins so the next time you see an ant in fact next time you see a wee insect that reminds of an ant you remember my story and you make this wee prayer in your heart

[16:27] Lord thank you for sending Jesus to become one of us so that he could die for us okay you remember that next time you see a wee insect or something that reminds you of an ant remember the story of the boy who wouldn't become an ant but God became a human being so he could die for us and take him to heaven okay very good well let's now return to worshipping God this time we sing from Psalm 19 verses 1 to 6 four stanzas Psalm 19 verses 1 to 6

[17:38] Psalm 19 Amen.

[18:34] Amen. Amen.

[19:34] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[19:46] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Now let's start at our Bibles.

[20:02] To the New Testament. To the Gospel of Matthew. Chapter 1. The Gospel of Matthew. Chapter 1.

[20:18] Now there's a lot of long complicated names in this. But I do want to read them for a special reason. Which I hope will become clear.

[20:31] The Gospel of Matthew. Chapter 1. We'll read the whole chapter actually. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ. The son of David.

[20:43] The son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac. And Isaac begat Jacob. And Jacob begat Judas. And his brethren. And Judas begat Pharaoh.

[20:55] And Zarah of Tamar. And Pharaoh begat Esrum. And Esrum begat Aram. And Aram begat Aminadab. And Aminadab begat Nason.

[21:07] And Nason begat Salmon. And Salmon begat Boaz of Rehab. And Boaz begat Obed of Ruth. And Obed begat Jesse.

[21:19] And Jesse begat David the king. And David the king begat Solomon. Of her that had been the wife of Uriah. And Solomon begat Rabon. And Rabon begat Abiah.

[21:31] And Abiah begat Esa. And Esa begat Josaphat. And Josaphat begat Joram. And Joram begat Osias. And Osias begat Joatham. And Joatham begat Echas.

[21:43] And Echas begat Ezekias. And Ezekias begat Ezekias. And Ezekias begat Manassez. And Manassez begat Amin. And Amin begat Josiah.

[21:55] And Josiah begat Jehonaias. And his brethren. About the time they were carried away to Babylon. After that they were brought to Babylon. And the brethren. And the brethren.

[22:07] And the brethren. And the brethren. That were brought to Babylon. Jeconias begat Salathiel. And Salathiel begat Zerubbabel.

[22:19] And Zerubbabel begat Abaiad. And Abaiad begat Eliakim. And Eliakim begat Azar. And Azar begat Sadok. And Sadok begat Echam. And Echam begat Eliad.

[22:31] And Eliad begat Eliasur. And Eliasur begat Matam. And Matam. And Matam. And Matam. And Jacob.

[22:43] And Jacob. And Jacob. And Joseph. The husband of Mary. Of whom was born Jesus. Who is called Christ.

[22:55] So. All the generations. From Abraham to David. And from David. And to Babylon. And to Babylon.

[23:07] And to Christ. And to the carrying away. And to Christ. And to the carrying away. Of his public example, was minded to put her away privily.

[23:46] And while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

[24:05] And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

[24:17] Now, all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which, being interpreted, is God with us.

[24:45] Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife, and knew her not, till she had brought forth her firstborn son, and he called his name Jesus.

[25:07] May God bless the reading of his own word to us. Now, we'll sing once more to God's praise, this time from Psalm 36.

[25:20] Psalm 36, I will sing verses 5 to 10. Psalm 36, at verse 5. Thy mercy, Lord, is in the heavens.

[25:34] Thy truth doth reach the clouds. Thy justice is like mountains great. Thy judgments deep as floods. Down to verse 10.

[25:46] Thy loving kindness unto them continue, that they know, and still, on men upright in heart, thy righteousness be still.

[25:58] Psalm 36, verses 5 to 10. Thy mercy, Lord, is in the heavens.

[26:11] Thy truth doth reach the clouds. Thy justice is like my tent's grave.

[26:27] Thy judgments deep as floods. Lord, thy grace there is, man and peace, thy precious is, thy grace.

[26:50] Thy grace, and fall in shadow of thy wings, men some death just shall please.

[27:07] They with the hardness of thy heart shall be well satisfied.

[27:24] From rivers of thy precious life, will change in the love of thy.

[27:42] because of life, the burden of thy grace, the burden of thy grace, means our own with thee.

[27:59] And in the purest night of thine, we clear, we clear, we like shall see.

[28:15] Thy loving kindness unto them continue, who love thee know, and still on men upright, bright in heart, thy righteousness bestow.

[28:49] Now let us turn to the passage of the chapter in God's word, which we read.

[29:04] Gospel of Matthew, chapter 1. And let's read again in verses 20 to 23.

[29:16] Matthew chapter 1, verses 20 to 23. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

[29:45] And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

[29:58] Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted, is God with us.

[30:32] I've entitled this sermon, A Birth Announcement with a Difference. Tell me, do you find it strange, the angel of the Lord tells Joseph, to name his child, Jesus, because, the prophet of the Lord, has prophesied, his name shall be Emmanuel.

[31:07] We read it. Thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, and that's the prophet Isaiah.

[31:29] They shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted, is God with us. What's the explanation?

[31:44] Is that a contradiction? The angel says, call him Jesus. The prophet, speaking by the Lord, says, he'll be healed, we call him Emmanuel.

[31:57] Is that a contradiction? There's no contradictions in the Bible. God cannot lie. There's two things we need to explain, when we try to explain that.

[32:14] Matthew's, the record we have here, about calling his name, refers to Christ's proper, to the proper name of Jesus.

[32:26] The first name. You know when you fill in government forms, and by the way, I'm that old, when I was young, government forms, when you used to fill them in, it used to be Christian name, and then surname.

[32:42] But they've done away with the Christian, and now it's first name, and then last name. Matthew is speaking about his proper name, his first name, if you want, Jesus.

[32:58] On the other hand, Isaiah's prophecy, was not referring to his proper first name, it was referring to his title, his character, his reputation.

[33:13] And the interpretation of both words, Jesus means, he'll be saved from sin. Emmanuel means, God being with us.

[33:29] But they're both the same thing. Theologically, logically, it's the same thing. To be saved from sin, is to have God with you.

[33:46] Sin and God cannot live together. And our Bible tells us elsewhere, Christ also suffered once for sins.

[34:00] Why? That he might bring us to God. We're saved from sin, so that we can be brought back into God's fellowship and friendship again.

[34:18] God created human beings in the beginning, so that he could enjoy fellowship and friendship with us.

[34:30] But our sin broke that fellowship, broke that friendship with God. But God sent the second person of the Godhead, his son, Jesus, to bring us back into friendship.

[34:48] and fellowship with God. That's why Jesus is here. To bring us back to God. To save us from our sin, because sin separates us from God.

[35:08] That is the real message of the incarnation of Christ, which the world at this time calls Christmas. It's the theology behind it all.

[35:21] And isn't it significant? I find it quite significant. And it comes more in Luke's account of the incarnation rather than Matthew's. When Jesus arrived into this world, the only people, Christ arrived in this world and unsolicited by human beings.

[35:49] The human race was not crying out, oh Lord, send us a saviour. He was unsolicited by humans. Unsolicited by those he came to save.

[36:04] We don't want Christ. We don't want salvation until God first works in us and changing us so that we see our sinnership, our sinfulness until we want to be right with God.

[36:21] God has to work first in us. Isn't it significant? The only voices singing the praises of this child being born into the world are the voices of those he did not come to save.

[36:40] The voices of angels. There's no saviour for any angel when and if they sinned. And the angels desire to look into this amazing gospel whereby God passed by fallen angels to send salvation, redemption to fallen human beings.

[37:12] But it's angels that are singing. Isn't that amazing? Jesus has come into the world to save sinners.

[37:30] All kinds of sinners. All types and all ages. If there's one thing Christ can do, it is to identify with common people.

[37:50] If you're here and you're not a Christian, you probably think, oh well, God will not be interested in me. Jesus, Jesus, wouldn't have me.

[38:02] Look at my background. Look at the mess I've got myself into. Christ came for sinners.

[38:14] And this is why I read through that long list of uncomfortable names to read. Do you notice?

[38:25] It's a list of fathers. is essentially a list of fathers. But he mentions three or four women, three or four mothers.

[38:40] Did you notice who they were? In verse three, he mentions Tamar. I'm not going to mention it, but you can read about Tamar's pathetic deeds in Exodus 38.

[39:00] Tamar. In verse six, no, verse five, he mentions Rehab, prostitute.

[39:13] a list of men, a list of fathers, no need to mention the mothers. That's mentioned elsewhere. But to mention Rehab, a prostitute, and a list of fathers.

[39:30] You see, the Bible says correctly, he is not ashamed to call us brethren. There's Tamar, profligate, Rehab, a prostitute.

[39:41] And look at the other in verse six. Jesse begat David the king, and David the king begat Solomon, of her that had been the wife of Eurias, an adulteress.

[39:59] Christ is not ashamed to call these people his brethren. He names them in his heritage. I was trying to find out my heritage once.

[40:13] Apparently our folks came from Priest Island. And I mentioned it to somebody who knew about these things, and always said to me, I wouldn't be telling people you come from Priest Island if I was you.

[40:26] And I said, why not? I won't tell you. I'll give you a book. I'll give you a book on names and where names came from. And apparently Priest Island was where sheep stealers escaped when they ran away from the authorities because there was water there and they could survive there.

[40:52] Ran away from authorities apparently went to Priest Island. So, it's not something I would advertise. Christ is not ashamed to call us brethren.

[41:08] That's the love of Christ. Don't you ever think Christ's not interested in you. Can you imagine what we are reading here?

[41:22] The birth of Jesus. Before they came together the Holy Spirit went into mainly and conceived Christ.

[41:35] Now, can you imagine the local press? What a field day the gutter press must have had then. Can you imagine what they would say?

[41:45] Unmarried mother claims to be pregnant with the saviour of the world headlines. Well, Christ is not ashamed to call us brethren.

[42:00] That's amazing. That's the love of God. Not natural. It's the love of God. Christ can identify with those in extreme poverty.

[42:16] It's not clear in the Bible, but apparently secular history would lend the thought that if people ask what was Christ doing from the time he was 12 to the time he began his ministry around 30.

[42:31] The Bible was silent about that. So what was he doing? I heard it said, as I said, not in the Bible, but secular tradition would indicate that.

[42:42] He was paying back his father's debts. His father was bankrupt. Certainly two turtle That was the absolute minimum of a sacrifice.

[42:53] if you were in poverty that couldn't be paid when you were coming to sacrifice at the temple. Christ had no home. Christ had no bed.

[43:06] No word to raise dead. Christ had no income. He can identify with every living soul.

[43:18] He can identify with those in extreme poverty. He can identify with refugees. Just read chapter 2 of Matthew. Just read chapter 2.

[43:30] The flight into Egypt. Persecuted. Had to find a home. Christ can identify with those of whom there is a question mark over who the real father is.

[43:50] My friend, Christ loves sinners. Don't exclude yourself. It's very possible that the very point where you feel Christianity may not be for you, it's probably the very point where Christ can most identify with you.

[44:16] He is the saviour of the world. And you have the angels singing. What are they singing about? A 4,000 year old promise made in the garden of Eden was fulfilled.

[44:34] The angels are singing about that. 4,000 years. that's when how long God took to fulfill that promise but he fulfilled it and it's glorious and it's wonderful.

[44:52] But you see, you say, 4,000 years, that's a long time to fulfill a promise. But remember, when we speak about God, we're speaking about an eternal being for whom one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years are as one day.

[45:17] There's no time with God. Time is extremely important to you and me but for God, he's an eternal being.

[45:29] Time doesn't count. You could say 96 hours is all he took. One day be the thousand years. 96 hours it took him to keep the promise.

[45:43] The angels are singing about a miracle being performed. But what's a miracle? what's a miracle? What's a miracle of the incarnation?

[45:56] What's a miracle of Jesus being born? It's not really the mechanics of how a virgin woman can conceive a child.

[46:07] That's a miracle, definitely, but that's not the miracle of the incarnation. It's the miracle, not this. God being willing, God the Father being willing to give his son as a sacrifice so that we worms of the dust could be in heaven with him.

[46:35] That's the miracle. The miracle is not so much the mechanics of a virgin conceiving. A miracle is that God would want us in heaven with him.

[46:51] Tell me, do you believe that? it will change your life. It will transform you if you believe that. It will make you a new person if you believe that.

[47:07] God so loved the world of worms of the dust. He gave his son up to the horrors of Calvary's crucifixion that we could be with him in heaven.

[47:25] That's the gospel and it's life changing. It can transform you. It is to all people.

[47:37] That's the angels are singing as you get it in Luke chapter 2 verse 10. This good news is for all people. All kinds.

[47:49] All times. Every in individual is welcome to Christ to the salvation that's in him for nothing.

[48:02] You can have it for free but you need to want it. You need to want it. Now let's just look at the two names.

[48:13] Jesus meaning saving from sin and Emmanuel meaning God with us. As said earlier you cannot separate these two concepts.

[48:30] Salvation is deliverance from sin and Emmanuel is God being with us.

[48:44] Salvation is God returning to dwell with us by removing our sin from us.

[48:55] I'll repeat that. It's quite important. Salvation is God returning to dwell with us and in us by removing our sin from us.

[49:16] The two cannot be separated. But here's a question that we need to ask. Because if you're a new Christian or a young Christian you'll be amazed that you still sin.

[49:32] So in what sense does Christ save us from sin?

[49:44] In what sense? Just four ways briefly. They all begin with the letter P.

[49:56] First of all Christ saves his people from the punishment of sin. The punishment of sin. Immediately the moment you first put your trust in Christ no more punishment for you.

[50:22] You're instantly saved from the punishment you deserve for your misbehavior. immediately delivered from the punishment of sin.

[50:39] There is chastisement but there's no punishment. Chastisement is correction putting you back into line.

[50:53] The punishment is what you deserve for Christ took that punishment for every believer on him. There's a second P.

[51:06] In sense Christ delivers us from the power of sin to dominate our lives. Now as you'll discover as a new Christian sin still exists but it doesn't dominate.

[51:26] It's not the main feature of your life. Christians fall into sin but they mourn over it. They grieve over it.

[51:37] They regret it. They confess it. They don't try to cover it up. They don't try to pretend it didn't happen. They confess it to God. sin completely but we might say incrementally.

[52:01] And we can say similarly about the third P. The pleasure of sin. That's gradual. Not instant.

[52:12] Not complete. Immediately. There is an aversion to it. but its power and its pleasure is very slowly through the rest of our lifetime takes.

[52:26] Only at death are our souls made perfect in holiness. Then there's the fourth P.

[52:37] The presence of sin. He will finally deliver us from the presence of sin. or we close our eyes in death.

[52:52] The punishment the power the pleasure the presence. Punishment instant. Instant.

[53:05] The presence only at death.! The power of Christ. The power of Christ. How does that happen?

[53:17] Well, it's by uniting us to Christ through faith. Christ. When you believe in Christ, you're united to Christ.

[53:29] Christ is in you and you are in Christ. You're one. God treats you as one. Christ and his people are treated as one in entity.

[53:46] God with us. Sin removed. and I find it hugely encouraging when I fall into temptation.

[53:57] I think of Christ. How he resisted for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness.

[54:09] The Bible tells us he led Christ, the Spirit led Christ into the wilderness to be tempted on our behalf. Christ succeeded in resisting Satan.

[54:24] And in the Bible 40 stands for the number of trial and testing. 40 days and 40 nights he was tempted. Only three temptations are recorded but there was 40 days and 40 nights.

[54:40] The number, the biblical number for completion. See when Christ resented temptation. you as a Christian believer were in them.

[54:54] That's been what it means to be united to Christ. God treats Christ and us as one person. God with us we unite.

[55:08] Well, our time's up. Just two points in conclusion. the birth of Christ.

[55:25] Christ was born so that he could die. As I said to the children, God can't die. So he had to become man.

[55:37] The price of salvation is death. the gospel actually isn't free. It's only free to us. Free to you.

[55:49] Free to me. Not free off the earth. There had to be a scapegoat. Someone has to pay for our sins. And if we don't pay for our own sins in a lost eternity, there's only one sacrifice made for sin.

[56:10] Christ on the cross. When God removed sin from us, he transferred our sin onto the head of his son.

[56:27] And I find great encouragement in Isaiah chapter 12. It's either verse 1 or verse 2. Thine anger is turned away. My friend, God's anger is not turned off.

[56:43] It's turned away from our heads onto the head of Christ. Christ came into the world as a human being so he could die and pay for our sins.

[57:01] God's anger can't be turned off against sin. Blessed be his name. It's turned off in Christ when he cried out it is finished.

[57:16] all the sins of all my people have been paid for. It's finished. No more punishment for them.

[57:30] Let my people go. if you think a stable trough is a strange place for the birth of the King of Kings it's not so strange as the cruel cross for his death because there was no other way no other way our sin could be paid for.

[58:00] No other way that we could get to heaven. That God so loved the world he gave his son so that whoever would believe upon him would not perish but an everlasting life.

[58:20] The last word I would say today is this. The world got it wrong about Christ's birth. life. The world got it wrong about his life.

[58:36] The world got it wrong about his message. The world got it wrong about his death. The world got it wrong about his resurrection.

[58:49] Do not get it wrong about his return. He's coming back.

[59:01] He's coming back. But he's coming back not only as the saviour this time he's also coming back as the judge.

[59:15] He's coming back to take his people home. But that event of taking you and me who believe in Christ home to glory is the same event he's coming back to end time.

[59:36] He's coming back to wind up history. and take his people home.

[59:50] Be sure you are one of them that he takes home by believing upon him to the saving of your soul.

[60:05] May God the Holy Spirit make his word effectual to every single one of us. Let's pray. Our Father in heaven we bow before you and ask that you would take the things of Christ and make them ours.

[60:30] that you would unite every single one of us to your son in a living vital faith. Be pleased to hear in heaven and answer us on earth because we pray all for your glory in your son's name.

[60:54] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Now we conclude our service of worship by singing from Psalm 21 verses 5 to 8.

[61:09] Psalm 21 at verse 5 In that salvation wrought by thee his glory is made great honour and comely majesty thou hast upon him that of course is Christ upon him said.

[61:27] And we sing down to verse 8. Thine hand shall all those men find out that enemies are to thee. Even thy right hand shall find out for those of thee that haters be.

[61:40] Psalm 21 verses 5 to 8 through that salvation brought by thee this glorious reign made honoured and comely majesty thou thou hast upon him said because that thou forevermore must praise in us in me!

[62:34] and thou hast with thy card jurnals made him make she sing right!

[62:51] because the king upon the Lord has confidence shall play and through the gates of the most I shall not be in the way!

[63:22] Thy hand shall own God live by thy heart and be up to thee in thy right hand shall find us the way that it can be!

[63:54] Amen! Amen! The grace of the Lord of Jesus and the love of God and communion the Holy Spirit with us all forever more!

[64:17] Amen!
