Catch a glimpse of the Glory, with Moses at the Burning Bush, as it filled the Tabernacle and the Temple, on the Mount of Transfiguration, but most of all in the Face of Jesus Christ. Believers can personally experience the Glory of the Lord.
[0:00] This is the day that the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118 verse 24.! This is the year that God hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118 verse 24.
[0:19] I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, and I will glorify Thy name. Glorify Thy name. The theme this morning is glorifying God. It's the glory. To make Him glorious, to make Him honourable.
[0:35] That's the glory, the glorifying that we can do. In Exodus 33 verse 18, Moses cried out to God, Show me Thy glory. I beseech Thee, show me Thy glory. And verse 19, the Lord answers and He said, I will make all my goodness pass before Thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before Thee, and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
[1:11] And later in Exodus 34 verse 8, it says, And Moses made haste and bowed his head towards the earth and worshipped.
[1:22] That was the response of seeing the glory, of the glory of God. The response was to worship. Moses had a dramatic holy encounter with the glory, with the glory of God.
[1:37] And his response was to worship. The glory of God. It's talked about a lot through the pages of Scripture. Right from the Old Testament through. The glory of God. What is the glory of God?
[1:51] What is the glory? Glory means honour. It means reflecting the glory of God. In Psalm 19 verse 1, we're told that the heavens declare the glory of God.
[2:05] The heavens are telling the glory. The heavens are declaring glory be to God on high. They're telling the radiance of His glory, of His excellence, of His holiness.
[2:17] Really, the glory of God, as the Lord Himself described it to Moses, was, I will make all my goodness pass before Thee. The glory of God is really the goodness of God.
[2:30] It's His goodness towards us. It's His nature. It's His brightness. It's His person. It's His presence. It's who He is. That's the glory. It's who He is. His intrinsic value and worth.
[2:43] His goodness to us. He is awesome. He is perfect. In the Word of God, we're told that God is the God of glory.
[2:54] Acts 7.2 He is the King of glory. Psalm 24.7 He is the Father of glory. Ephesians 1.17 The majestic glory.
[3:08] 2 Peter 1.17 The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of glory. 1 Peter 4.14 And Christ Himself.
[3:19] He is the King of glory. 1 Corinthians 2.8 And people today, as God's people, you are made for the glory of God.
[3:29] We are made for His glory. In Isaiah 43.7 The prophet says, Even everyone that is called by my name, for I have created him for my glory.
[3:42] I have formed him. Yea, I have made him. The Lord says, I have created him for my glory. I have formed him.
[3:53] I have made him. Men and women, all were created by God and for God. To give him glory.
[4:03] To give him glory. I noticed that was a theme in our speakers earlier. And in the prayer time. Glory be to God. That must be the bottom line. Glory be to God.
[4:14] To give him glory. It's only in Him that we find the meaning for our existence. In loving Him. In glorifying Him. In doing His will.
[4:26] Like it's been said, the chief end of man is to love Him. To glorify Him. To give Him glory. God's demanding His rightful place. His rightful glory. In your life.
[4:37] In mine. Our honour. Our reverence. And when we get that revelation. Of who He is. Of His goodness towards us. It will overwhelm you. It will cause you to worship.
[4:48] It will cause you to give glory. In gratitude. In honour. In wonder. In adoration. Catch a glimpse of His glory today. Catch a glimpse of the glory of God.
[5:00] Catch a glimpse. Oh that today we might just catch a glimpse. If God would just open heaven's door ajar. Just to catch a glimpse of glory today.
[5:11] A revelation of who He is. Of who God is. To our souls. And think of it. The glory. The glory of God. It captures all of who God is. His power.
[5:21] His purity. His preciousness. His character. His grace. His greatness. His wisdom. His truth. His excellence. His majesty. Who God is.
[5:32] Moses caught a glimpse of it. Moses caught a glimpse of it. We've got some Moses here today. Moses caught a glimpse of the glory. He caught a glimpse of the glory of God.
[5:43] As the burning bush was there. As the great I am spoke. From that bush that would not be consumed. And as Moses came down from the mount. His face glowed with the glory still.
[5:55] As he came down from the mountain. As he came down from speaking with God. In Exodus 34. 29 to 35. God's presence was evident.
[6:08] The seraphim caught a glimpse of his glory. The seraphim. The angels. In the courts of heaven. They caught a glimpse of his glory there. And they cried out to one another.
[6:18] Holy. Holy. Holy. Is the Lord. God. Almighty. The whole earth. Is full. Of his glory.
[6:30] God wants our thoughts to dwell. To rest. Upon his majesty. Upon his wisdom. His power. The children of Israel caught a glimpse of his glory.
[6:41] As he led them. By fire and by cloud. In the glory cloud. I told you to pronounce it. The Shekinah. Glory. The Shekinah glory cloud.
[6:52] Of God. As he came down in the tent. Of meeting in the wilderness. In Exodus 40. Verse 34. And verse 35. Moses was not able to enter into the tent.
[7:05] Of the congregation. Because the cloud. Abode thereon. And the glory. Of the Lord. Filled the tabernacle. Moses couldn't enter.
[7:17] The children of Israel had the fire. The cloud. The smoke. The glory cloud. And Moses couldn't enter the tent. To minister. Because the glory of the Lord. Filled the tabernacle.
[7:29] God blessed his meeting place. With his holy presence. With the fire. By night. The cloud. By day. And the fiery cloud.
[7:41] Stayed with the children. Of Israel. For 40 days. Continuously. The glory of God. Was evident. The presence of God.
[7:51] God was not the cloud. But he was in the cloud. The people caught a glimpse of the glory. When Solomon's temple was dedicated. Seven years building it.
[8:04] Took longer than ours. Seven years building it. God manifested his presence. His glory. Filling the place. In 1 Kings 8. 10 to 11. The glory of the Lord.
[8:15] Filled the house of the Lord. And at the temple's dedication. The presence was evident. In the form of a cloud. A cloudy presence. So thick. That the priests could not do their work.
[8:27] They could not minister. And the glory dwelt. In the Holy of Holies. Behind the curtain. On the mercy seat. Between the cherubim. Was a representation. Of God.
[8:38] Sitting on the throne. As it were. Sitting. Seated in the judgment place. In the temple. Amongst his people. Of course we know. Now. That the atonement. Has been made.
[8:49] Upon the mercy seat. Through the blood. Of our Saviour. Again. The glory of God. Was present. With his people. Now.
[9:00] For us. How can we. How can we experience. How can you experience. The glory. Of the Lord. Where do we find the glory. Really and truly.
[9:10] Jesus is. The glory. Of God. The Lord Jesus. He is the glory. Peter and James. Caught a glimpse. Of the glory. As they were on the mount.
[9:21] Of transfiguration. Peter. James. And John. On that mountainside. As the father. Glorified his son. At the transfiguration. Matthew 17.
[9:32] 2. Stephen. Caught a glimpse. Of the glory. Stephen. Caught a glimpse. As he was martyred. And he's martyred. As they're about to. Pelt him with rocks. Acts 7.
[9:44] 55. And he. Being full of the Holy Ghost. Looked up steadfastly. Into heaven. And saw. The glory. Of. God. And Jesus.
[9:55] Standing. On the right hand. Of God. When we look at Jesus. When we look at his face. We will see the glory. John 1. 14. And the word.
[10:06] Was made flesh. And dwelt amongst us. And we beheld his glory. The glory as. Of the only begotten. Of the father. Full. Of grace and truth. The glory.
[10:18] We beheld. As someone has said. What. Is the glory of God. Jesus Christ. Who. Is the glory. Of God.
[10:28] Jesus Christ. Where. Is the glory. Of God. Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1. 3. Tells us. Who being the brightness. Of his glory.
[10:39] And the express image. Of his person. And upholding all things. By the word of his power. When he had by himself. Purged our sins. Sat down. On the right hand.
[10:49] Of the majesty. On high. The brightness. Of his glory. The express image. Of his person. I've been. Communicating with some. Seventh day eventists.
[11:00] They don't think the atonement. Is finished yet. God help them. The brightness. Of his glory. When he had purged. Our sins. By himself.
[11:10] He sat down. The sins. Are taken. By his blood. There is no. Need. For fear. If you've trusted him. Your sins. Are gone.
[11:21] Wiped out. Blotted out. By his precious blood. And when we gaze. Into the face. Of our saviour. As revealed. In the bible. We are going. To see his glory. And we'll be changed.
[11:32] Into his image. His glory. Becomes our glory. As we become more Christ like. As we become more like him. And manifest his attributes. Thank God. God meant.
[11:43] Broken people. God meant. People. Unworthy. Unfit. Inadequate. God fills them. He fills you. With his glory. With his glory.
[11:54] Unworthy though you be. Unworthy though I am. His glory fills us. For his glory. To his glory. 2 Corinthians 4. 6. For God.
[12:05] Who commanded the light. To shine out of darkness. Hath shined in our hearts. To give the light. Of the knowledge. Of the glory of God. In the face.
[12:16] Of Jesus Christ. In his face. We see the glory. The knowledge. Of the glory of God. In the face. Of Jesus Christ. Behold the glory. In his face today. And still today.
[12:27] The glory. Is in his people. The glory. Is in his people. He fills. His people. In 2 Corinthians 3. 18. But we all. With an open face. Beholding as in a glass.
[12:38] The glory of the Lord. Are changed into the same image. From glory. To glory. Even as by. The spirit. Of the Lord. Changed.
[12:49] From glory. To glory. Even as by. The spirit. Of the Lord. In Zechariah 2. 5. He says.
[13:00] I will be the glory. In the midst of her. Talking of Israel. Of his people. I will be the glory. In the midst of her. And we know.
[13:12] One day. His church. Will be glorious. Without spot. Or wrinkle. Or any such thing. God. Is the glory. Of his people. And we reflect.
[13:23] His glory. We behold. In a glass. As in a glass. The glory. It's like a reflection. We behold it. We reflect it. We catch a glimpse.
[13:33] Of the glory. Catch a glimpse. Of the glory. We may not see him. In the burning bush today. We may not see him. In the pillar of cloud. And fire. In the tabernacle.
[13:44] In the temple. At the transfiguration. We may not see him. As the angels saw him. But we can see him. As we look at Jesus.
[13:54] By faith. As we're looking unto Jesus. By faith. The author. And finisher of our faith. We're transformed. We're changed. This word changed. It's elsewhere. Translated.
[14:05] In the King James. Transform. We're transformed. From. Into the same image. From glory. To glory. We catch a glimpse.
[14:15] Of the glory. We are changed. We're transformed. It's the same word. Paul translates. In Romans 12. That we are. Not conformed to this world. But be transformed.
[14:26] By the renewing of your mind. The same word. Is this changed. We're changed. In the tense of it here. It's present tense. We are being transformed. From glory.
[14:38] Into glory. Literally. From one degree. Of glory. To another. To a greater. Ever increasing glory.
[14:51] That's the sense of it. To think that. We are more. Like him. As we get closer. To glory. That God will be glorified. More in us. By his mercy.
[15:01] And grace. That is his will for us. That you be transformed. Into that same image. In ever increasing glory. Now we may not always feel like it.
[15:12] Amen. Maybe you don't feel like it. This morning. But it says that the. Light affliction of this present. Time. Is going to bring that.
[15:26] Greater weight. That amazing weight. Of glory. Isn't it? The weight. Of glory. Is going to. Be given to us.
[15:36] And for the meantime. We've got the light affliction. You know that. That little. That little lobe that you carry. Of whatever it is. Your affliction. Your. Your. Things that you'd like to see different.
[15:47] That. It's just a light affliction. In comparison. With that weight. Of glory. With that. That treasure store. That he's going to lavish upon us. Of his richness. Of his glory.
[15:58] Of his grace. Which he does still. He does even now. And it's an ongoing process. Of transforming work. It's literally in the Greek. A metamorphosis. Of which.
[16:09] We know. We use in the English language. Of the transformation. Of a caterpillar. Into. A butterfly. That's the picture of it there.
[16:20] As Romans 12. 2. Uses the same word. And be not conformed to this world. But be you transformed. By the renewing of your mind. That you may prove. What is the good. That good.
[16:30] And acceptable. And perfect. Will of God. And we are revealing it. You should be revealing it. I should be revealing it. Day by day by day. From glory. To glory.

[17:25] Living a life that counts. It's not that life should be somehow divided. That there's some artificial division. Some distinction between the sacred and the secular of our lives.
[17:38] That place. The sacred where he belongs. And the secular where he doesn't. Where he's not really a factor. That should not be so. We should glory to God. Glorify God.
[17:49] In all of our life. In every part. In every moment. That it be sanctified unto his glory. We are to do all things in a way. That brings him honour.
[18:01] And glory. In Matthew 5.16. Let your light so shine before men. That they may see your good works. And glorify your Father which is in heaven. They will see your good works.
[18:12] They will see the witness. They will see the testimony. They will not just hear it. They will see it too. In your life. And they will glorify your Father which is in heaven. The fullness of the glory.
[18:24] God's presence. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Catch a glimpse today. Catch a glimpse. Catch a glimpse of him today.
[18:36] Of his face today. Just as God filled the tabernacle. It was filled with his glory. Just as he filled the temple. With his glory.
[18:47] He fills your life. Your heart. Your soul. Christ in you. The hope of glory. He comes now to manifest himself in his holy temples.
[18:58] His living temples. Which is you. Walking around in your feet. In your shoes. God's holy temple. God's saints. His glorious holy temples.
[19:09] And God himself will reside with you. Walking in your shoes. Living in your skin. Residing. Residing. Dwelling. Through his mercy and grace.
[19:20] The glory of his grace. His saving grace. Manifesting through faithful works. Through your life. As you glorify him. You can glorify God.
[19:33] You can glorify him. John 15. Herein is my father glorified. That you bear much fruit. So shall you be my disciples. Herein is my father glorified.
[19:43] That you bear much fruit. Herein is my father glorified. So shall you be my disciples. Do you want to glorify him? Let us glorify him together. Glorify him in our praise.
[19:55] Glorify him in our lives. Glorify him in our life. In our thinking. In our living. God ought to be glorified. Give him glory. Ascribe glory. Be transformed.
[20:06] By the renewing of your mind. It's been said. Our brain acts like a sponge. It's like a sponge between your ears. That brain of yours. The human brain. It weighs only about one and a half kilos.
[20:19] But contains 12 to 14 billion cells. And its computing power exceeds that. Of the 100 largest computers worldwide. Glorify God in your mind.
[20:33] Glorify God in your adoration. In your worship. To close Psalm 29. Give unto the Lord the glory. Due unto his name.
[20:45] Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Give unto the Lord the glory. Due unto his name. And lastly.
[20:56] Almost lastly. Revelation. They would have lied to you. Revelation 21. Verse 33. Catch a glimpse of the glory. We've seen it in the burning bush.
[21:08] By faith. We've seen it in the pages of his word. We've seen the glory in the burning bush. We've seen the glory in the tabernacle. We've seen the glory in the cloud. We've seen the glory in the temple.
[21:20] The glory in the mount. As he's transfigured. As he's transfigured. It's the same word transformed or changed. As Christ was glorified there. We've seen the glory can reside within your very heart.
[21:32] Within your very spirit. As you are a temple of the living God. And we can catch a glimpse of it. One day we'll see glory. Eternal glory.
[21:42] In heaven. Revelation 21. 23. In our new heavenly home. In our new heavenly mansion. Glory. Glory. Glory. Forever. And ever. And ever. Glory.
[21:53] Will fill. Will pervade the whole atmosphere of heaven. In Revelation 21. 23. And the city. Had no need of the sun. Neither of the moon. To shine in it.

[23:00] We won't close it formally. But. They used a doxology. They called it. And of course. Doxer means glory. It means glory to God. When they used this phrase. This term. Doxology.
[23:10] Doxology. Doxology. Doxology. Is the closing sentence. Or quote. Or segment of the service. Was called the doxology. In other words. Glory to God.
[23:20] Glory to God. And it was noteworthy. Some of the earlier brethren. Who spoke. Used that term. Glory to God. At the close of what they. Of their remarks.
[23:32] And 1 Peter 5. 10 and 11. It says. But the God of all grace. Who hath called us. Unto his eternal glory. By Christ Jesus. After that.
[23:43] He has suffered a while. Make you perfect. Establish you. Strengthen. Settle you. To him be glory. And dominion.
[23:53] Forever. And ever. Amen. To him be glory. Forever. And ever. Amen. Unto him be glory. In the church. That's what we want. Isn't it? Be encouraged today.
