His Fingerprints

[0:00] Colossians 1 verse 16 Colossians 1 verse 16 It says, of our Saviour, speaking of our Lord, who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins, who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.

[0:58] For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, visible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.

[1:12] All things were created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things and by Him all things consist. All things were created by Him and for Him.

[1:27] And He is before all things and by Him all things consist. We read in the beginning of our Bibles, it says, In the beginning, God.

[1:40] It doesn't say, In the beginning, dirt. It says, In the beginning, God. Everything comes from Him. Life comes from living.

[1:53] Life comes from life. Despite all the progress of science, life never comes from non-living substances.

[2:08] By Him, all things were created. All things. All matter. All energy. All life. Evolutionists believe that life emerged from some kind of slime millions of years ago.

[2:26] Give or take a few. That it was from goo to you. In contrast, the Bible teaches that God breathed life into the world, into man.

[2:42] Mankind was created in His image. We have been created. You have been created by God. The Creator of the cosmos made you.

[2:54] And His superintending, sustaining power maintains the order of the universe still since its creation. As we read in Psalm 19, verse 1, The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth His handiwork.

[3:13] The earth was designed by Him. And this finely tuned planet has all its settings set just right for life to exist. If our planet was just a bit closer to the sun, it would be too hot and the oceans would boil away much further away and the earth would be covered with ice.

[3:38] The earth is designed. It's made by Him. We see the design of our planet earth. We see it's evident in its orbit in its orbit around the sun keeping temperatures steady.

[3:56] In its rotation giving us days and nights. In its tilt giving us seasons. In its moon giving us tides to cleanse our oceans.

[4:07] In its magnetic field just set to that right measure. not too weak or too strong. The bodies of water and of land on our planet make it stable and breathable with its atmosphere.

[4:24] In Hebrews 1.10 it says, Thou, O Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the work of thine hands.

[4:35] All things were created by Him and for Him. You have been made made by Him and for Him.

[4:47] He has designed and He has made you. You are not some random chance event. You have been made. Made with a purpose.

[4:59] Man with a role. Woman with a role. Every person with a purpose. Created by God as He has created the order and the complexity of the universe.

[5:12] You and your world have been made by a master designer and He has made a wonderful design. His fingerprints are all over the universe if you like.

[5:25] The fingerprints of our maker. We see in the flowers in that incredible micro technology that engineers the opening of a flower and the closing of it.

[5:41] In the microscopic detail of every part in the colour of its petals we see the master designer.

[5:53] We see His fingerprints. We see His creation in the microscopic world of microbes where you see complex interdependent parts of just that microscopic life of even a single celled microbe as it propels itself with various rotary engines and variable speed that can spin at 100,000 revolutions per minute.

[6:21] We see God's creation in many interdependent systems throughout His creation as we see the complexity of our body of itself.

[6:34] It's like the components of a watch. when you think of the universe and the complexity of it how much more complex is that than the timepiece you might wear on your hand.

[6:47] And the systems and processes they're all interdependent! So that one is dependent on another so nothing works until everything works. It's like it's been said of irreducible complexity of the mousetrap that every part of a mousetrap and the various components of a mousetrap they all had to work together to make it function.

[7:15] And think of that too as far as your circulatory system pumping the blood across your body. How could that function without the heart? The eye without a brain how could that interpret the signals?

[7:29] How could it function? How could they work without each other? What about the wings of a bird? What good would a half-formed wing be? And then you think for evolution to be true as someone has put it every male dog cat horse elephant giraffe fish and bird had to coincidentally coincidentally evolve with a female alongside it at just the right time?

[8:00] And this happened over billions of years that a male elephant evolved the exact time a female elephant evolved so that they both had fully compatible reproductive parts and a desire to maids otherwise the species couldn't keep going.

[8:21] Evolution is laughable let's face it that such a thing should be thought because the interdependency of all the systems of all the wildlife of all the microscopic life of our planet that it should somehow just coincidentally happen at the same time.

[8:41] We think for example of the eye another example of the designer's existence every time you look in the mirror as much as there might be some things lacking I know I've got less hair every time I look but even as you look in that mirror your very body your very face your very person is a testament to the designer who's made you and the very eyes that look on that beautiful image in the mirror as those eyes move a hundred thousand times every day then the eyes have various paths to make them function if you take the retina the lens the blood vessels the nerves or any other part away from the eyes it cannot function at all it's interdependent the muscles the tear ducts the tears the 130 million cells that detect black and white the eyelashes the 7 million cells which detect colour the blinking the depth perception and then the brain to interpret the signals all parts must begin to work at once or the whole eye is useless think of the brain the human brain it's the most complicated structure in the known universe the brain contains 100 billion cells inch with over 50,000 neuron connections to other brain cells so it's constantly talking across itself and there's 100 million separate signals from the total human body that the brain receives every second 100 million separate signals it's been said if we learnt something new every second of our lives it would take 3 million years to exhaust the capacity of the human brain in addition to conscious thought people can actually reason anticipate consequences and devise plans all without knowing that they're doing so the brain you might think your brain's not that smart but boy it's a tremendous fact that it is an amazing structure think of the living cells just a single cell on its own it's so complex in its interdependent components it staggers the imagination as to how evolution could be thought to explain it a basic cell contains over 60,000 proteins of 100 different configurations and the chance of this assemblage occurring by chance is 1 in 104 478 296 that's a big number so evolutionist

[11:47] Carl Sagan said the information content of a single cell is comparable to about 100 million pages of the Encyclopedia Britannica cells are vastly complicated with thousands of interrelated working parts it's like a well managed city here's a quote in part from Newsweek and it says that the factories in the cell produce proteins vital units of chemical commerce so every cell is like a little factory every cell has got these complex transportation systems that guide the chemicals from point to point within the cell and beyond!

[12:28] Then there's like sentries like security people as it were in the cell structure that control what goes in and out of the cell and that monitor the outside world for signs of danger and then there's like these armies that stand ready to grapple with invaders biological armies in that tiny single cell a centralised genetic government maintains order it's all happening without you even thinking about it just as we're speaking even now all things were made by him and for him and without him was not anything made that was made you look back in the fossil record and there's no stacking up of the evolution theory there's no transitory life forms there's no things half one animal and half another the fossil record does not stack up with what evolution would claim and when you look at the fossil record life appears abruptly and in complex forms in the fossil record just as the bible says there's so many examples

[13:46] I've just picked out just a few there's an amazing fish called the angler fish it's a bizarre fish that is a deep water fish it lives more than a mile under the surface and this strange creature has a structure pointing out from its nose and it resembles a fishing rod and then the very tip of this rod has a light on it some light producing organ at the end of this kind of fishing rod on the nose of this fish and smaller fish are attracted to the angler fish they think this light is some kind of food source they come up to it and anglerfish light poses a problem for evolution because the anglerfish relies so heavily on this kind of fishing rod structure for its food that an underdeveloped or non-functioning light would probably lead to the fish's starvation the light itself is extremely complex it produces no heat and despite much research they still haven't figured out how it really happens and this anglerfish is designed to withstand immense pressures in the depths of the ocean where the pressure is around 2,000 pounds per square inch so how could such a creature have evolved it was made it was made all things were made by him the woodpecker now that woodpecker woody woodpecker the woodpecker is another example of creation this special bird confuses evolutionists it has a very thick tough beak which enables it to peck to trees to find food it's like a living jack hammer as it hits its head against a tree hundreds of times a minute with the force of de acceleration up to 1000 times the force of gravity and despite the immense stress on this beak from its pecking it never breaks if an ordinary bird were to peck a tree like a woodpecker its beak would shatter it would be scientifically impossible for an ordinary bird to evolve a woodpecker beak after many years of pecking trees and woodpeckers too have an extra strong neck cartilage that acts like a shock absorber they also have a special film over their eyes that keep the eyeballs in and the wood chips out design design the fingerprints of the creator are all over it it's an amazing design but that's not all woodpeckers live on insects that reside in tunnels inside trees under the bark of trees and these insects would escape except for the woodpecker's extra long sticky tongue and the tongue is four and a half times longer than its skull four and a half times longer than its skull so this poses another problem for evolution how could a tongue be designed in such a way without a designer what would the woodpecker do with the tongue when it's not in use fortunately woodpeckers just by chance have a special tongue storage compartment which wraps around the skull and attaches in the beak region which came first the storage compartment or the long tongue without the

[17:46] tongue the birds would starve without the storage compartment they would choke on their long tongues do woodpeckers look like the product of chance and accident no they show design they show design they show the fingerprints of a master designer and we think of feathers of themselves feathers themselves are extremely complex lightweight strong aerodynamic with an intricate structure of barbs and hooks that also make them waterproof think of a dolphin the warm blooded animal the dolphin needs a relatively stable internal temperature and they have a thick layer of blubber that acts like an insulating coat to keep them warm in cold water but this coat could cause serious overheating in warmer water or when a dolphin generates much body heat during times of intense swimming but dolphins have a special system of blood vessels in their dorsal fin that acts like a car's radiator to keep their blood at just the perfect temperature the fingerprints of a master designer are seen in the dolphin the bombardier beetle is an amazing insect that has a highly effective system of defense the bombardier beetle mixes special chemicals together inside their abdomen and produces rapid fire explosions that propel liquid and gases in the face of an enemy at the temperature of boiling water and for this to work many components had to work together at the same time the chemicals the storage compartment the mixing chamber the tubes the set of vowels and the discernment to know when and on what to use it just imagine if evolution tried to produce such a system by trial and error how many beetles would have blown themselves apart in the process the whole system looks designed another example the giraffe think of the giraffe with the very long neck as someone has posed this question have you ever wondered why the giraffe's brain doesn't explode when he stoops down to get a drink of water as that great long neck is headed downwards the pressure on the head or why doesn't it pass out when he raises his head back up again why is because

[20:28] God especially designed vowels in the neck of the giraffe which closes off the enormous flow of blood that's needed to raise the giant neck the giraffe has a powerful heart almost two feet long to make sure the blood supply gets to his brain if he did not have the special valves in his arteries which regulate his blood supply his brain would explode under the pressure there's also a special sponge under the giraffe's brain that absorbs the last pump of blood now when he raises back up that sponge squeezes that oxygenated blood into his brain the valves open up and he doesn't pass out the fingerprints of the master designer are all around us these are just some examples as revelation 4 verse 11 as they praised they said evolution evolution is a belief system really a disbelief system it's an excuse it's an alibi it's a lie to stop mankind believing in the designer who's created them you are asked to believe that some chaotic haphazard disorder led to some specific complex order it's fraught with many mathematical impossibilities in contrast the evidence for creation is all around us the wonderful symmetry and artistry of creation just the fact you've got two arms and legs just the fact the butterflies have got two wings the beauty the order the variety the colour the design the strength the intricacy the movement it shouts creation it shouts creation the precise movements of the earth the moon the sun the stars the precise timing and coordination of the universe the order the harmony the cycles of nature as Job wrote in chapter 26 verse 7 he hangeth the earth upon nothing the bible shows great scientific truth how do birds know when to fly where to fly when to feed when to nest when to winter how do bears know when to hibernate how do spiders know how to spin webs how do caterpillars know how to make cocoons where does purpose intelligence specialised skill come from how is it that all the species of animals of birds fishes insects plants bacteria along with countless organisms and microorganisms have these different ways of communicating it all just happened by chance that's what evolutionists would imagine from where come different talents abilities gifts and skills from where come inventiveness and judgement reason and perception courage and perseverance dedication and discernment and comprehension the fingerprints of the master designer are all over the place if all things were made by him don't you think you ought to get to know him don't you think you ought to consider it more seriously if all things were made by him if you were made by him don't you think you ought to get to

[24:28] know him and to get to follow him the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction the Bible says that people reject the creator through pride through sin through foolishness and leads men to darkness and destruction they willfully refuse the truth is what evolutionists do in John 1 we read that he our Lord is before all things in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God the same was in the beginning with God all things all things all things were made by him and without him was not anything not anything made that was made creation is in crisis today because man is rejecting his maker it was very good in Genesis then man blew it and sin death and destruction have been known to mankind it's man's sin man is empty without his maker our world shows us the reality the wonder of our saviour of our divine creator his word reveals his love towards us he made us and we ought to be restless until we find our rest in him friends by him all things consist not only has he made them but he sustains them he maintains them by him all things consist they hold together he holds creation all together he holds the universe the planets the solar system the universe operates like clockwork your body functions because of his design and

[26:39] Hebrews 1 3 it says of our Lord who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person and upholding all things by the word of his power this one we can come to know he's made you and he intends that you know him he intends that you come to know him all things are held together by the word of his power we can have confidence in the authority of the word of God of the record of the scriptures of the truth of Genesis through revelation and for him we live and move and have our being we depend upon him for our every breath and so we ought to take it very seriously friends I trust you've been encouraged to consider the proofs of creation the fingerprints of the designer are all around the world about us as we look ourselves in the mirror for all our faults we can see someone's designed that human being that is you and he has designed a plan of salvation for mankind friends don't miss out he's made you he's made all things and he sustains all things and you can know what it is to live and move and have your being in him to live in that life of the one who is life who gave you the breath of life who maintains that breath of life in you until you go to him or he comes for you friends be ready he's coming soon and we read now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy to the only wise God our
