[0:00] Creation. You know, this is a bit of a quasi-academic kind of presentation, not that I'm any great teacher! on the subject, but just some thoughts that I've collected from various places, which! other people's work largely, that I've pulled together to present tonight on the subject.

[0:29] Very important subject. Does it matter what we believe? Does it matter what we believe? Yes, it does.

[0:43] Here's a picture of a man who had a mushroom here. Can you see that? Many people have died horrible deaths from eating poisonous toadstools they thought, they believed, were edible mushrooms.

[0:57] They were very mistaken. Very mistaken. It does matter what we believe. There are some important questions that we want to make sure that we get right.

[1:12] Such as, where did life come from? Where did life come from? How did people get here? And why? Is it intellectually feasible to believe that a supernatural, intelligent being, God, created the world, the universe and all living things?

[1:33] Or is it evolution? Or is it evolution? A scientific fact that has empirically and logically been proven that life is the product of purely material universe that came into being by random chance and or accident?

[1:52] Big question, isn't it? Big question. Big question. Where did life come from? Is it by chance? Just like the chance of a board game, of a throwing of a dice?

[2:07] Did life begin by evolution or by creation? Was it by chance or design? That's what it boils down to. Either we believe it's by chance, random chance fluke or by design, purposeful design.

[2:23] Either we believe that matter is eternal and life has evolved through purely natural processes. Or matter is not eternal and life was created by a supernatural force, a supernatural person.

[2:39] Evolution. What is evolution? It's a big question and I'll try to put it to you as fairly as I can. Again, the case for evolution, in a nutshell. Evolution is in effect a system of faith.

[2:53] Yes. It's a belief system. It's a religion in effect. Evolution teaches this. It teaches that time, matter and random chance pursues what we have today.

[3:04] Time, matter, random chance. Creation, on the other side, teaches that God created the heaven and the earth, what we have today.

[3:15] So the choices are pretty clear. That the existence of man is either a random event or a purposeful event. Evolution teaches that time plus chance plus natural processes or mutations equals life.

[3:35] The theory of evolution proposes that there's these chance chemical reactions that produce the first single-celled organism. And then these bacteria reproduced themselves, they divided and became more.

[3:47] And occasional slight changes occurred from generation to generation. Very slowly, gradually, this process of change was able to create new complex biological designs.

[3:59] You know, go back to your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather and this might have been what you looked like. This is essentially what some three billion years ago the original organisms were able to change step by step from some kind of mushy, murky goo.

[4:20] Single cells, then they became many-celled worms without a backbone, then a worm with a backbone, then fish, then amphibians, reptiles with scales, mammals with hair, apes, ultimately to humans.

[4:35] And so this process is claimed to have created, one after the other, thousands of new complex designs in order to change a bacterium into a human being.

[4:47] It's quite an astounding belief system. What does evolution teach us? Evolutionists believe this. Matter is eternal. Evolutionists have no answer to where the first matter came from.

[5:04] They just assume it always existed. Matter is eternal, they say. And that this lifeless matter accidentally stirred around and brought forth life. This is contrary to the fact that living creatures are too complex for this to happen.

[5:20] Even the smallest of creatures are exceedingly complex. Now have you ever studied that little insect that goes zzzzzzz when you're trying to get us to sleep? Zzzzzzzzz. You know those tiny little insects.

[5:32] They're so complex, those mosquitoes. But when they're squashed they just look like a bit of mush. But now they are very complex while they're flying around. Even the smallest of creatures are exceedingly complex.

[5:46] complex. So this is contrary to what evolutionists teach to this view that life comes from life. It's evident that life comes from life. Evolution rejects that, in effect. It says that life came from non-life and then self-reproduced into bigger and better life forms. So to be able to prove evolution, I'll put it to you, that we need evidence of thousands of series of fossils through the record of the fossils. So we can see that there was thousands of new biological complex designs through the record of the fossils. We don't see this. There should be a series of fossils to show the slow evolution of a backbone. We don't see that. Or evolution of reptile scales and bird feathers. Evolutionists would need to prove this. They can't. And they should be able to prove that the theory of genetics that evolution created a backbone or changed these reptile scales into bird feathers. Evolutionists should be able to discover the mechanics of genetics to be able to create such complex new biological designs. They can't. They haven't and they can't. Evolutionists would have to show us the evolution of complex new biological designs happening in nature today. Friends, it boils down to this. Evolution is a belief system.

[7:23] A belief system. A belief system. A religion, in effect. Presuppositions, beliefs and faith. A belief system that excludes God and has man deciding truth for himself. Truth is relative. Your truth is different from the other God's truth. Evolution is a belief system, a philosophy, and it's a philosophy we should question. We should question it. It's a philosophy that bears fruit.

[7:52] If someone accepts that evolution is true, there is a fruit from that. There is no such thing then as right and wrong. No good or bad. No purpose in the universe. Man is morally accountable to no one. There is no judgment, no absolute moral law. The human race is evolving into a higher state.

[8:12] Now that's why I'm bent. Now that's why I'm bent. Now that's why I'm bent. I'm looking at my dad. No, no, not really. But now they see these things that, yeah, it's laughable. It's laughable. You know, it's actually the case that we're getting, we're actually losing capacity. You know, that's why my dad's so much healthier than me.

[8:32] No, this is the state of evolution. It doesn't stack up on these grounds. George Wall, a doctor, a professor of biology at Harvard, he won the biology prize, the Nobel Prize in biology in 1971.

[8:48] And someone asked him about the origin of life and he said this, There are only two possibilities as to how life arose. One is spontaneous generation arising to evolution.

[8:59] The other is supernatural creative act of God. There is no third possibility. Spontaneous generation or a supernatural creative act of God.

[9:10] Dr Wall knows that spontaneous generation was scientifically disproven in the 19th century by Louis Pasteur and other scientists. And they tested this theory and they found it's not the case.

[9:25] Nothing spontaneously generates by itself. So it leaves us with only one possible conclusion that life arose as a supernatural creative act of God.

[9:37] Dr Wall, this professor from Harvard, he says, I will not accept that philosophically, a supernatural God, because I do not want to believe in God.

[9:49] Therefore, I choose to believe what I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation arising to evolution. To say it just happened is impossible, but I believe it because I don't want to believe in God.

[10:06] End quote. Professor from Harvard. Very smart man. Evolution. Evolution. Evolution. Evolution is not truly science. It is a philosophy.

[10:16] It's a bias against God. It's taught virtually as fact in schoolrooms around the world today. But it is in actual fact the best guess of those who will not accept divine creation as the origin of life.

[10:31] Friends, what does the evidence show? What does the evidence show to us? The second law of thermodynamics is the law of entropy. What it means is there's a universal law of deterioration.

[10:45] So over time things get generally worse. Generally they decline. So the evolutionary model is flawed. Things don't get better.

[10:55] They generally get worse. Many people accept the theory without a thorough investigation. Friends, there's no links between the species through the fossil record.

[11:06] There's missing links. The links are missing. There is no evidence found. You know, there's the chain that they propose of monkeys through to men, but essentially there's no...

[11:18] The links they claim are missing. There's no transition life forms. For evolution to work, it requires minor changes after generation after generation, leading to major changes through millions and billions of years.

[11:35] And it requires a whole lot of time to go from non-living chemicals to single-celled living organisms to multi-celled living organisms to complex organisms we see now.

[11:47] They claim these things happen over millions, billions of years, but they don't allow for testing in the land. It's not something you can test. What does the evidence show us is the critical question.

[12:00] And I hold that it is possible to intelligently believe that God created the universe from nothing. It was created in the beginning, very good. Created to glorify God himself.

[12:13] Some things are evident. I'll put to you tonight. Some things are evident. What does the evidence show us? Some things are evident. One is the principle of cause and effect.

[12:26] Cause and effect. A design demands a designer. A building, a builder. A thing made, a maker. A creation, a creator.

[12:37] Now, when you have a plan for a house, it is built. And the Bible says, Hebrews 3 verse 4, For every house is built by some man, but he that built all things is God.

[12:49] Every house is built by some man, but he that built all things is God. Another principle is that man is a moral creature. A moral creature.

[13:02] Man can choose between right and wrong. There's within himself a likeness to God. You're torn in your conscience between right and wrong all the time. It's inbuilt in us.

[13:13] Genesis 1, it says, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

[13:28] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. James 3 verse 9 talks of the similitude of God, his likeness.

[13:42] It's what distinguishes man from all others. Now, there's a column in a newspaper called Dear Abby, and people can write in with all their problems to the newspaper.

[13:56] One day a man wrote in to Abby, and he said this, Dear Abby, I'm in love, and I'm having an affair with two different women. I can't marry them both.

[14:08] Please tell me what to do, but don't give me any of that morality stuff. How do you answer that one? Abby's answer was a good one.

[14:18] She said this, Dear Sir, the only difference between humans and animals is morality. Please write to a veterinarian. Friends, we're human, we're not animals.

[14:33] There's something special about men and women. There's a morality. We're a moral creature. We're also a worshipping creature. In all ages, in all cultures, man is a worshipful being.

[14:45] There's a universal tendency to give regard to someone greater. We're wired that way to worship. And God has revealed himself to man in creation, in our conscience, and in the Bible.

[14:58] He's revealed himself to us. Man is a worshipping creature. There's the difference here between man's fallible word and God's infallible word.

[15:10] Romans 1, it says, For the invisible things of him are from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

[15:23] In the context of those disbelieving. The invisible things help us to see the invisible God has created them.

[15:35] There's evident design, evident design I put to you today. Evident design is all around us. In the micro, in the macro. In the universe, and in the microscope, there is evident design.

[15:50] The universe appears to be tailor-made for life on earth. It's been called the anthropic principle. Anthropic. It means pertaining to mankind or humans.

[16:03] Humanity's existence. There's this principle, or the anthropic principle, that humanity's existence on earth is something that is just a mind-boggling reality that just really is astounding.

[16:18] In other words, the characteristics of the universe from the size of the galaxies down to the workings of subatomic particles, you know, human cells. They're peculiarly suited to life on earth.

[16:30] Just a microscopically slight variation in physics, in astronomy, in geology, would alter the earth and make life impossible. Consider the earth.

[16:42] The earth. Astrophysicists have found there's over 60 criteria that are necessary for life on earth. For you to live. Just change one. A tiny bit.

[16:54] And we're gone. Life could not exist or form if any one of the following were true. Planet earth. And there's many, many you could cite and I'm just really, I'm just scratching the surface on some of these things.

[17:10] As I say, this is not really a comprehensive covering of this topic. It's a huge topic. But I'm just wanting to give a few little points. If any of these things were changed, just tweak, just change, just a small bit.

[17:26] If earth's rotation was slower or faster, if we were 2% closer or further from the sun, if earth had a 1% change in sunlight, if the earth was larger or smaller, if the moon was larger or smaller, we had more than one moon, earth's crust was thinner or thicker, the oxygen or nitrogen ratio was greater or less, the ozone layer was greater or less.

[17:52] Just change one or two of those little things just by a minute amount and life on earth would not exist for humankind. That's right. The tilt of the earth is just at 23 degrees.

[18:04] It's set by precision to ensure the optimal temperature normalized over the surface of our planet. And if that tilt was altered just slightly, temperatures would be too extreme.

[18:18] If the moon was not the same distance as it is from the earth today, it would affect the tides, the water would be affected, the plant life, everything would go to pieces.

[18:35] As the earth would tilt, we'd have winters 100 degrees colder, summers 100 degrees warmer. Think of oxygen on our planet. Earth's atmosphere is 21% oxygen.

[18:47] At 25%, if it was just that bit more, fires would spontaneously erupt. If it was less, at 15%, people would suffocate.

[18:59] Earth is the only planet in our solar system in which we can breathe. Attempting to breathe on other planets like Mars or Venus would be instantly fatal. Mars has virtually no atmosphere and Venus has mostly carbon dioxide and almost no oxygen.

[19:15] If the rotational period of the earth took longer than 24 hours, temperature differences would be too great between night and day. And if the rotation period was shorter, atmospheric winds would be too fast.

[19:29] Think of gravity. You can read the figure here. If the force of gravity was altered by this minute percentage, the sun would not exist and neither would we.

[19:40] Earth's gravity is perfectly set. The shininess or the atmosphere of the earth, the reflectivity of the earth's surface is perfectly set too.

[19:54] It reflects just the right amount of sunlight and the surface temperature is kept just the right amount. Underwater earthquakes is another sign that they keep the ocean circulating and nutrients flowing.

[20:10] The salinity of the ocean, the saltiness of the ocean is just right too. If the ocean wasn't salty, ice would form more easily, reflecting heat back out into space and would keep the planet in a permanent ice age.

[20:27] Do you see all of these just by chance? It would, some would think, and yet perfectly set, by precision. The water cycle, the earth is just the right distance from the sun so that water flows, it evaporates and falls and yet if the earth was just 1% closer to the earth, the oceans would vaporise, preventing the existence of life.

[20:55] And on the other hand, if our planet was just 2% further from the sun, the oceans would freeze and rain that enables life would be non-existent. So we see, perfectly set.

[21:07] And just the existence of water, the abundance of water on our planet is essential for life. It makes earth just so special. The solar system, if our sun was redder or bluer, plants would not be able to use sunlight for photosynthesis so they wouldn't survive.

[21:25] The sun's magnetic field, the earth's crust, the sun's mass, so it could go on and on. Simply put, we live in an extremely rare planet, perfectly positioned in an extremely rare solar system, ideally located in an extremely rare galaxy within a highly improbable universe.

[21:48] Everything is just set, just so specially, for mankind to live. And it's amazing that apparent life exists on one tiny speck in a universe of 10 billion trillion stars.

[22:05] You know, people are looking for life on other planets and they've yet to see any sign of that. What does the evidence show us? I think it's pretty clear.

[22:16] What about when we bring it down to you and me, to the human body? Now, there's some specimens here that are a bit more well preserved than others, but the human body, even this poor specimen here, in all of the wonder of the circulatory system, the nervous system, the respiratory system, the reproductive system, the skeletal system, and to consider this, that the first man and woman could not live with the circulatory system alone.

[22:45] They had to have all these other systems in operation, working together in perfect harmony and in two persons at the same time and it just happened that one was male and one was female at that very same time so they could reproduce.

[23:01] And the body is so replete with these many complex systems they could not have developed by chance. Friends, I put it to you, I plead with you to see that the evidence is clear.

[23:13] It is evident that we are by design, by design, by design, even from the womb. Consider the miracle of life in the womb. And I've read lately of a particular feature of the human body that is in a baby as it is born.

[23:32] It's called the ductus arteriosus. It's where a baby is born with this bypassing of the valves that roots the blood directly to the developing extremities and not to its lungs.

[23:47] And at the exact moment of birth suddenly the blood must pass through the lungs to receive oxygen because now the baby is supposed to breathe air. So it goes from that perfect care environment of the womb and once it comes out it has to suddenly start to breathe oxygen.

[24:06] And so in a flash a flap descends like a curtain detecting the blood flow and the muscle constricts the ductus arteriosus.

[24:17] So within the heart kind of muscles I suppose and suddenly everything changes when the baby is born. And it's by design people. It's by design.

[24:29] Without this split second adjustment the baby could never survive outside the womb. And once this one act is performed by this one muscle it then gradually dissolves and gets absorbed by the rest of the body.

[24:41] God has designed that one muscle for that one moment when a baby has to breathe oxygen to live. Imagine a muscle designed to be used only once. Did that evolve?

[24:53] How could it? How could it evolve? To me it shows God's design is clear. And that's just one amazing part of the body. Design is evident. Even Charles Darwin couldn't figure out the human eye.

[25:06] We could talk more at length about so many features of the human body. Down to the microscopic item called the human cell. One cell is just so staggering.

[25:18] Psalm 139 the psalmist cried I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Fearfully and wonderfully made.

[25:29] The more we learn about the body the more astounding and astonishing the detail of design. DNA. Bill Gates said this DNA is like a software program only much more complex than anything we've ever designed.

[25:47] And yet every and each cell in the human body contains more information than is contained in all 30 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica said Dr.

[25:58] Walter Bradley. Each cell contains so much information. Who wrote that information? It wasn't Bill Gates. Someone much smarter than him.

[26:09] Each cell contains that much information. Here's what Dr. Walter Bradley said it's certainly reasonable to make the inference that this isn't the random product of unguided nature but is the unmistakable sign of an intelligent designer.

[26:25] What do the facts actually show us? They lead us to faith. Facts are not contrary to faith. Facts lead us to faith. They can confirm the faith that we can have as we trust God's word to us.

[26:40] There is a reasonable alternative to belief in evolution. Look at creation all around you. Look at the stars when you step outside this place. There is a rational alternative, a reasonable alternative to evolution and it is to believe in creation, in the creator.

[27:02] It is rational and reasonable to believe that God, not unknown events, not chance events, not freak chance events like the casting of a dice, but God created life in all of its forms after their kind.

[27:21] And creation incorporates the scientific data of the present and the ancient writings of scripture. There is no contradiction. And we can have meaning and value, meaning and value.

[27:36] As a Christian, I believe that God created the world and gives meaning to life and more so, he gives value to life. If we are here simply by chance, then our lives have no ultimate value.

[27:51] We are just a massive protoplasm, just a fetus, you know, chuck it out if it becomes inconvenient. As the world would do at times, it is easy to adopt that kind of philosophy where you have a disregard for human life, whether it's still in the womb or however else society devalues it.

[28:11] Every life is precious. Every life, even lives that are not as perfect as another life. You know, I work in the disability field and I see lives just as precious, just as precious, just as valuable, even though society might devalue some people.

[28:32] But God values life and he's put a meaning to life and God has created the world and life not only has it got meaning, it has value. And God has placed meaning and value on our existence, on our lives.

[28:45] So it does matter what we believe. It does matter. And some have pulled it down to four questions that every religion tries to answer.

[28:56] Who am I? Or what am I worth? Where did I come from? Why am I here? And where am I going when I die? There's basically two views to life to view the world, the humanistic worldview and the creationist worldview.

[29:10] The humanist worldview says man is God and answers to no one. Consider if evolution is true, if evolution is true, who am I and what am I worth?

[29:23] No one and nothing. Where did I come from? A big cosmic birth about 4.5 billion years ago. Why am I here? No purpose, no rules.

[29:36] It's survival of the fittest, every man for himself. Where am I going when I die? You're going to be recycled back to dirt and that's the end of you. If there is no God, then we are a result of chance and random processes.

[29:54] There is no right or wrong. There are no absolute truths. If creation is true, on the other hand, who am I and what am I worth?

[30:07] You are the apple of God's eye. Where did I come from? God's preordained will and desire. You've been created with a purpose.

[30:19] Why am I here? Intimacy with created God. You have a life with purpose. Where am I going when I die? If you trust him, you're going to heaven to spend eternal time with him.

[30:33] Genesis 1 verse 1 tells us the truth. It teaches us the origin of time, space and matter. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. In the beginning, time.

[30:44] In the beginning, time. In its three dimensions, past, present, future. God created the heaven, space. Space in its three dimensions of length, width, height.

[30:56] And the earth, he created matter. In its three dimensions, solid, liquid and gas. All have come into existence at the same time. The origin of time, space and matter.

[31:09] In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. All came into existence at the same time. Genesis 1 verse 1 says they did.

[31:21] The alternative is to believe that billions of years ago, nothing exploded and formed everything. Evolution has cannot explain the beginning.

[31:33] It's also evident that evolution is not happening now. The fact is no one has ever seen it happen. Evolution evidently lacks fossil evidence.

[31:44] As I say, there's not a missing link. The whole chain is missing. And instead, we see that every kind is distinct. Distinct kinds, distinct plants, distinct animals, with many varieties within each kind.

[32:01] But unbridgeable gaps between the kinds. For example, as someone has put it, there's many varieties of dogs and cats.

[32:11] but there's no dats or cogs. Okay? That's one way of thinking about it, isn't it? There's plenty of varieties of dogs and cats, but there's no dats or cogs.

[32:25] They're distinct in their kind. Amen. Distinct in their species. And this is what God said in Genesis 1. There's a variety within each kind. Of course, my little rusty fox terrier is a bit different from maybe your great dane at home.

[32:41] But they're still of the same kind. They're of the dog kind. And in Genesis 1. 11, we read that God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, the fruit yielding fruit, after his kind.

[32:55] After his kind. His seed is in itself upon the earth and it was so. Verse 21 of Genesis 1. And God created great whales, and every living creep to that mover, and the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind.

[33:09] And every winged fowl after his kind. And God saw that it was good. Everything after his kind. The plants, the animals, of various kinds, within their kind, within their species.

[33:24] And this is evident, that this is what we see in nature today. Contrary to the Bible, the evolutionists must believe that reproduction, has happened, not always, after kind after kind.

[33:37] There's got to be some kind of mutation, some transmutation between species, so that a protozoa can become an unsegmented worm, and then that may become a fish, and that may become a reptile, and move from one species to another.

[33:52] The problem is there is no evidence, no evidence that this ever happened. No one has seen it happen, and scientists have tried to make it happen and can't make it happen.

[34:04] For example, if you have roses, you can mix genetics and create varieties of roses, different colours, different shapes, but a rose is a rose. If you have dogs, canines, everything from a poodle to a great dame, you can interbreed them, but they're still canines, they're still dogs.

[34:22] Scientists have bombarded fruit flies with gamma rays to attempt transmutations, and they do get all kinds of strange fruit flies, but they never get some other kind of bugs.

[34:33] They're still fruit flies. They can't change the kinds. A kind is a kind, a species is a species. So evolution on the one side says life is chance.

[34:44] There's no real meaning, there's no direction, no real value or purpose to life. We're just a fluke, there's no real meaning to our existence. Here's what one of the leading exponents of evolution says about the meaning of life according to evolution.

[35:00] Humans have always wondered about the meaning of life. Life has no higher purpose than to perpetuate the survival of DNA. Life has no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless, indifference.

[35:16] That's the famous Richard Dawkins. Hold on, mate. Life has no design, no purpose, no evil, no good. Friends, I wrap up by putting to you, evolution is a belief system.

[35:29] You have to accept it by faith and the evidence is lacking. Evolution says you're an overgrown kind of ape. Creation says God has created you, designed you with intelligence and design.

[35:43] Creation says you are made in the image of God and the Bible is true world history. It measures up world history as it's seen, backed up by history, by archaeology.

[35:55] As we see the record, it measures up with recorded history the historic parts of the Bible. And so Genesis is the early part that is likewise reliable evidence.

[36:07] We can trust the Bible from cover to cover. And it tells of world history from in the beginning even into eternity in future, through the present day.

[36:17] Friends, there's abundant evidence I put to you that lines up with the claims of the Bible and is contrary to the theory of evolution. I urge you tonight to take heart in the truth of the Bible, in the truth of creation.

[36:33] And some would question whether the earth is as young as the Bible record would seem to indicate. There's many signs that it is young, around 10,000 years old.

[36:48] For example, some are cited, there's many other things you could say, but the amount of helium in the atmosphere indicates that the earth is no older than about 10,000 years. Ocean floors reveal a sediment accumulating for about 10,000 years.

[37:04] Only 20 million years ago, the sun would have been the size of the earth's orbit around it. So there's many signs that show us that the earth is certainly not millions of years old as some would profess it to be.

[37:17] men. There's a war going on today and it's a war between the sense of right and wrong. And the authority of the word of God is under attack. Friends, I urge you today, as much as evolution is taught as a fact, instead of a theory, it is just that, a theory.

[37:35] And if evolution is true, we can have morality by the majority. So just follow the crowd. whatever a person thinks or wishes to believe, we dictate what we believe.

[37:48] Whatever people vote in, that doesn't make it right, what gets voted in, what the government says is right or wrong. Self-autonomous men can say that abortion is right, or homosexuality, or incest, or murder, or theft, or fornication.

[38:05] Who's to say that they are wrong? The Bible tells of men rejecting their creator in Romans 1. tells of people professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

[38:15] They can be Harvard professors, they can have their name in lights like Richard Dawkins and be sadly mistaken, just like the man eating a toadstool, thinking, believing, it was a mushroom.

[38:26] When you start with the Bible as your foundation, we see that the evidence of science and history does not conflict. The Bible is not contradictory to science, it measures up.

[38:37] And the evidence of all living creatures and cultures of geology and biology, of physics, of archaeology of fossils support the Bible's teaching.

[38:49] The author of the Bible is the God of science and history and all that exists. Creation, in all of its order, as we see things created after its kind, as we see the solar system, the universe, the planetary systems, as we see the human body down to the microscopic level.

[39:08] creation answers the questions of life. Where did I come from? Why am I here? And where am I going? If all animals and men evolved, then there were no first parents, no paradise, no fall, no sin, no reason for the cross, for Christ dying and rising.

[39:27] But yes, it's true. Man fell into sin at the garden in Genesis. Read the story. We see, therefore, the sacrifice of Christ for our sins is vitally needful and brings significance to us.

[39:43] And we can trust the authority of God as the creator. And friends, to wrap up, you are a special creation of God. God has made us so he can love us, bless us and form relationship with us as we return his love.

[39:58] You are a special creation of God. Each one, very special. You are loved, known, and you can know you're created if you'll trust him. As you seek to learn him and his ways, as you seek to follow his will.

[40:14] I urge you, in closing, we can have this concept, there is a creation, there is a creator, but is he your Lord and Saviour? That's what it boils down to tonight.

[40:25] I urge you to trust him. See that you need his saving love, you need his forgiveness, you need his setting you free from sin's torment and prison.

[40:40] You need him to save you tonight. And he is not only creator, but he is Saviour. He is Saviour. I urge you to call on his name. The Bible says that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
