[0:00] In the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves,! Loves of pleasure more than loves of God, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge! Of the truth.

[0:29] There's an old time Sunday school song that goes in part, the countdown's getting lower every day. I'm not sure how close to midnight we are, but one thing's for sure, we're getting closer every day. Every day. And the Bible urges us to make good use of the time that we have got, this finite resource that we all have. It's finite for all of us, isn't it? And it's running out like sands through the hourglass. So are the days of our lives. Not that I watch that program one of them. It just makes everybody laugh when I say it. But the Bible urges us to make good use of the time that we have, this finite resource. It says in Ephesians 5, verse 16, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Who thinks the days are not evil?

[1:21] I think you could say this verse could apply to today, don't you? And the Bible foretells us of perilous times, perilous times to come. And what are some of the things that stand out in these times in which we live today? What of this fair nation of Australia? This fair land that we live in, of our nation, Australia. The facts are that the biggest cause of death in Australia is actually abortion. Now I know there's people who are strongly standing against such things here today. We thank God for you. Abortion is responsible for 41% of deaths.

[2:04] So don't worry about car accidents. There is reportedly two aborted babies for every five born. Perilous times, wouldn't you say? In Australia we kill about 100,000 babies every single day. I can't believe that statistic. I hope I wrote that down right. But that's what I did read. And they call it pro-choice. Pro-choice. But one of the people involved doesn't actually get a choice. They are killed before they get to take their first breath. Often in such a way that physically tears them apart in the womb. Now, if there's anyone here who's gone through an abortion, there's grace for you. There is grace for you. God can forgive.

[2:49] And we thank him for that. But what a sound thing it is when governments and legislators push such things on the population. Australian. What of Christianity? Of Christianity these days? Much of Christianity these days is infected with dangerous doctrinal errors and weakened and sold out to the Hillsong Enterprise for one, which rakes in $55 million every year.

[3:15] We have much need of discernment in these days that we live in. The Lord Jesus says, watch out for false prophets. We're witnessing much cause for alarm in the falling away, the Bible tells us, of an apostasy to come. And I believe it's present time. In many ways you could see that coming true.

[3:37] And popular Christianity these days is being overtaken by the toxic teachings of the faith movements, health, wealth and prosperity gospel. It prevails in many churches as they've been hijacked and hoodwinked by Satan. As they're going off track, going off in this tangent.

[3:57] And someone was just talking to me in the break earlier. How doctrinal errors are just endemic. People are doubting their salvation. There's no assurance of salvation. If you're saved, there's a certainty for you. You're as sure as heaven. He's reserved an inheritance. Reserved inheritance.

[4:19] Incorruptible for you. Waiting for you. There's a joy you can have. There's an assurance. There's a peace deep within your soul you can have. That your salvation is not dependent on any of your works. Not one of them to save you or to keep you. It's the finished work of Christ that we need.

[4:35] It's his blood shed and received by faith that saves. And I urge you to find that peace with God today. We're witnessing an all out deception in these days. Being played out and promoted on many fronts. We're being told that light is darkness and darkness is light. Evil is good and good is evil. I read this quote a while back. Everything is backwards. Everything is upside down. It's just like the Bible talks about Isaiah 5 verse 20. Woe unto them. They call evil good and good evil and put light for darkness and darkness for light. They put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. And the quote goes on. What do we see? Doctors destroy health.

[5:20] Lawyers destroy justice. Universities destroy knowledge. Governments destroy freedom. The major media destroys information. Religions destroy spirituality. And Bible publishers destroy God's word. These things should not be so but they are so, brothers and sisters today. The Lord Jesus says, take heed that you be not deceived. Australia, Christianity. What about government? Can't we trust the government? Trust me, I work for the government. What of government? Our nation leaders are ever more morally bankrupt these days. Our spiritual deception abounds. And wickedness is the new normal. The new normal. What's being pushed on us as the new normal today? A redefinition of the very foundation stone of humanity. A man and a woman joined for life through marriage. And they want to attack even that. And true Christianity, I believe, in these end times, ultimately will be outlawed. They'll outlaw it or they'll change it so it's not Christianity anymore. And the days ahead, have spoken of it is a time where men's hearts will be failing them for fear of what will be coming on the earth. And yet, despite, despite all these fearful things, we can look at the future with hope, with a confident hope, with an assurance of faith in Christ, a steadfast, rock solid, absolute, certain assurance of faith in Christ. And so I urge you today to take heart in these things.

[7:08] Fasten your seatbelts. There's more in store. What about our nation? Some have said we've lost our moral compass. There's corruption in high places. We've got more than 10% of the working age population are smoking dope. What's going on in our churches? A woeful mix of truth and error. Forthright preaching has been called a hate crime. There's an intensifying attack on Christians around the globe.

[7:33] 100 million Christians suffer persecution every year. It's been reckoned that 150,000 Christians are martyred every year in present times. Our nation is sliding into godlessness and we've traded the absolute truth for lies today. Friends, judgment is out the doors. Can you hear it? An alarm?

[7:52] An alarm is going off. And Ellen talked about people going to sleep. There's no one here to sleep yet? Will you just press the snooze button and just sleep on? Or will you wake up and take some action?

[8:05] I urge you today, for such a time as this, these are days that call for soberness, for prayer. We need revival. We need to see God's face. We need some Esthers for such a time as this.

[8:16] We'll boldly stand against the crowd, against the flow and for what is right, for God's truth. We need some Nehemiahs in these days for such a time as this. Nehemiah was a builder for God, who restored what the enemy had broken down and God worked through him and moved in great revival.

[8:32] We need some watchmen in such a time as this. We'll stand against the tide and contend earnestly for the faith once delivered for the saints. And the good news is for all of these fearful and frightening things that Alan's been talking about and Adam, for us it's a day of great rejoicing ahead, a day of gold-smart hope, the blessed hope. For we read that we're looking for that glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

[8:59] And friends, the point is, to wrap up quickly just now, is are you ready? Are you ready? If you're hearing all of this and you're not sure, you're not ready, not personally ready for what lies ahead, I urge you today, make peace with God. Trust Him now. Trust Him now before the day of His wrath so you can be saved from the day of His wrath by His grace and mercy. As you trust Him now. Are you ready? Is your family ready? For those turbulent times ahead. We need to make sure that Christ is our captain through those rough times, through those rough waters. And friends, I urge you today, hear the callings, hear the warnings, hear Christ's call today. The alarm is going off. Are you ready for His returning?
