That's Enough

Description

Have you done enough to deserve Heaven? It's impossible. But Christ is sufficient - if you have Him. We can know His supply. His Grace is sufficient - to bear you up and hold you close in His tender care, no matter what your trial or how painful the thorns. His Blood is sufficient to make the foulest clean, and save the most sinful, if they will but apply the blood. His Spirit is sufficient to empower and embolden you and equip you for service beyond your abilities, and your inadequacies. If you will relinquish your self sufficiency you can find His awesome will. Our sufficiency is of God. And that's enough.

[0:00] A question for you to start.

[0:13] Have you done enough to make it to heaven? Will your good works be enough?! Will your religion be enough?

[0:24] That's how some people live life, isn't it? Some think like that. It's like doing enough. A do-it-yourself kind of religion.

[0:34] As if it's like building a house, do-it-yourself. Salvation, do-it-yourself. Some religions say, save yourself. You save yourself by what you do.

[0:46] Really, it's impossible, isn't it? Nothing we can ever do or be can ever be enough. Rather, the Bible tells us of a person who is enough.

[0:59] He is enough. And we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. It says that in Psalm 23, doesn't it?

[1:11] Verse 1. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. It's something familiar to us, isn't it? And we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever if we know this shepherd.

[1:23] We will know His eternal presence with us forever. And that's enough, isn't it? It's enough. There was a little boy one day asked to recite Psalm 23.

[1:33] And he said, the Lord is our shepherd. That's enough. Truly, yes. The Lord is our shepherd. That's enough. That's enough.

[1:44] That's all we need. He is all I need. He is all we need. All you need. And we can find in Him our supply, our source. If you have the Lord Jesus Christ, you have enough.

[1:55] That's enough. There's nothing more to be added. You have this assurance that He gives to you. His promise. His assurance. And there are three things I put to you today that are sufficient.

[2:08] Sufficient. Three things that are enough. Three things that are sufficient. Firstly, His grace. His grace. His grace is sufficient for your strength.

[2:20] Paul wrote to this in 2 Corinthians 12. He wrote at this difficult time when he was struggling. He was telling how he was blessed with all these wonderful revelations from God.

[2:32] And yet he said, also he was given something else. A thorn in his flesh. He didn't define what it was. But Paul said, was given to me a thorn in the flesh.

[2:47] And he asked the Lord to take it away. Take it away, Lord. It's painful, this thorn. Take it away. I don't want it. We pick up the story in 2 Corinthians 12. From verse 7 through 10.

[2:59] Paul writes, Three times he prayed.

[3:27] Verse 9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

[3:38] Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

[3:49] Verse 10. And therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake.

[4:01] For when I am weak, then am I strong. Paul knew weakness. Paul knew loss. He knew pain. He knew hardship. He knew trials.

[4:12] And he asked the Lord, take this thorn away. Yet God says, my grace, my grace is sufficient for thee. God says, my strength is made perfect in weakness, in your weakness.

[4:28] And you can say, his grace is all I need. That's enough. His grace. His grace is sufficient for me. No matter what you are going through.

[4:40] No matter how difficult a time. No matter how hurting you may feel. No matter how weak you feel. His grace is greater still. His grace.

[4:51] His grace is what we need. That's enough. His grace. His grace is what we need. Even in our weakness. In our lack. In our need. The Lord wants us to draw his strength.

[5:06] To draw from his strength. And he sometimes humbles us. Paul says, it was a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to buffet me.

[5:17] Sometimes God will allow the difficult times. The difficult things in life's pathway. So we can grow stronger. Stronger in our faith.

[5:28] Hebrews 11.34 it says, out of weakness were made strong. Waxed valiant in fight. The concepts of Hebrews 11, as we know, are the heroes of the faith.

[5:38] Men and women of faith. And these heroes of the faith, they had deep down a weakness, a vulnerability. Yet they were humble enough for God to get a hold of their lives and to be strong in them.

[5:54] For example, we see little David. Little David facing up to this enormous giant, Goliath. With just a stone and a slingshot.

[6:04] Yet he had the power of God. Didn't he? He had God's grace, didn't he? That's enough. We see Gideon.

[6:15] Gideon who was a cowardly man. Cowering and hiding. Running. Gideon. And just 300 men.

[6:28] In all their weakness. Overcame an army of 135,000 Midianites. As they came to them at night. With just clay vessels. And torches.

[6:40] And the power of God. The grace of God was with Gideon. That's enough. That was enough for Gideon. And it's enough for you.

[6:50] For me. Sometimes our weakness is necessary. So God can work. And God can get all the glory. Christ is sufficient. Christ is enough. He sustains us.

[7:02] The Lord is my shepherd. That's enough. We can rely on that. You can rely on that through life's journey. When all around my soul gives way.

[7:13] He then is all my hope and stay. We can know his grace. We can know his strength. His grace. That's enough. When we've lost everything else.

[7:24] We yet have his constant grace. His grace never stops. It's unstoppable. It's unceasing. It's forever. His mercy.

[7:35] His grace endures forever. And his grace is freely given to us. His grace. It speaks of his generosity. Doesn't it? Of his kindness. Of his love. Some people try to add to grace.

[7:49] As if grace isn't enough. No sir. Grace is enough. His grace is enough. His grace is sufficient. What we need is to rest on that.

[8:02] His mighty grace. That's enough for us. We have to believe the grace of Jesus Christ is enough for us. not try to add something of our own effort.

[8:14] As if we can add something to our salvation. salvation. It's a complete package that he gives to us. That's salvation.

[8:25] And his grace speaks of his great generosity towards us. We read in 2 Peter 1 verse 3. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.

[8:40] All things. He's given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. Through the knowledge of him that accord us to glory and virtue. God's power. He's given up all things.

[8:52] His divine power has given unto you all things that pertain unto life and godliness. So all that you need for life and godliness is given to you. It's his gracious love isn't it?

[9:05] That he's given to us everything that we need. When we consider our weakness then we see that contrast of his great grace. His amazing grace. It's in our weakness that he can be strong.

[9:19] And the God that we know and love. The God of the Bible is called 1 Peter 5 verse 10. The God of all grace. The God of all grace.

[9:30] Everything we need. Everything you have need of has been given to you. He is to us. He is all sufficient. Don't lean on anything but.

[9:44] Anything but. For your salvation. Grace. Grace. Marvellous grace. Matchless grace. Greater than all our sin.

[9:55] Don't lean on anything but grace. Don't go about trying to establish your own righteousness. Some make that mistake. Again. Where. They tie themselves up in knots about.

[10:08] Doing. Doing. Doing. When God has said. Done. Done. Finished. Don't go about trying to establish your own righteousness.

[10:22] Of course he wants you to be righteous. No question about that. But your salvation is not. Leaning on that. But upon his grace. And so Paul found this secret.

[10:35] The secret of his grace. In Philippians 3 verse 9 he writes. And being found in him. Not having my own righteousness which is of the law. But that which is through the faith of Christ.

[10:47] The righteousness which is of God by faith. Not righteousness by doing. Even doing good things. But of faith.

[10:58] In Christ. Through faith. In Christ. When Paul writes again in Romans 5 verse 20. About what Jesus has done. It's enough for you. Where sin abounded.

[11:09] God's grace did much more. Much more abound. Amen. Now thank God. There's no one. Far enough away. That God cannot reach. You know I love that scripture that says.

[11:21] His arm is not shortened. His hand is not shortened. That it cannot save. He reaches to the gutter most. To the lowest of the low. You can't be too sinful.

[11:33] That Christ cannot save you. There's no sin. Too sinful. That he cannot save you from it. That he cannot save you. Who are lost.

[11:44] And truly when we feel absolutely lost. It's the starting point. For salvation isn't it? It's when we go about trying to establish our own righteousness. That. Why do we need a saviour?

[11:56] That's right. He's come to save the lost. He's come to seek. And to save the lost. And so nobody is out of reach.

[12:08] Of his grace. And the word tells us that. That the grace of God had appeared to all men. To all men. We all need grace. Don't we? We all need grace.

[12:19] And we mustn't ever get too religious or self-righteous. That we think it's by ourselves. Or by our works. That's when we make a great mistake.

[12:30] Isn't it? To rest on any of that. And we know in Noah's day. The world was very wicked. It was filled with great wickedness. Right across the planet.

[12:41] In Noah's day. In Genesis 6. And then in verse 8 we read. But Noah found grace. In the eyes of the Lord. That made all the difference. The grace.

[12:52] Made all the difference. And so too for you and me. The Bible speaks about the throne of grace. There's a throne of grace. And it tells you that you have access to that throne.

[13:05] So go to the throne. And get the grace. Go to the throne. And find the grace. To help in time of need. And whenever you feel weak. Whenever you feel like there's a thaw in your flesh.

[13:18] And you've prayed and prayed. Sometimes God will say. My grace. Is sufficient. For thee. Sometimes. We just have to trust him.

[13:29] Trust his grace. He may not remove the thaw. He may not remove that unpleasantness. Out of our life. But he'll give you the grace. To get through. He'll give you the grace.

[13:40] That is sufficient for you. For your strength. His grace is sufficient. For your strength. Secondly. His blood. Consider his blood. Some believe that salvation is by earning.

[13:54] And deserving it. Again. There's very many well-meaning people. Who have this kind of philosophy. This belief. They believe that salvation is by earning.

[14:05] And deserving it. And by our own striving. And working. And working. And working. And working. Until we get enough. Self-righteousness.

[14:17] To be enough. It's like this ladder. That they climb. But it doesn't quite reach. Right. It doesn't quite get there.

[14:28] Because the Bible says. All have sinned. And come short. Of the glory of God. We fall short. We cannot attain it. Our striving and working.

[14:39] Cannot save us. I've known some people. Who have never known. An assurance of salvation. Dear. Dear people. I love and care about.

[14:51] And they. They're constantly telling me. I'm not sure that I'm saved. I don't know. That I'm saved. And as much as you explain the gospel to them.

[15:02] And the simple facts. Of trusting Jesus Christ. It's like they don't have that assurance. They're always doubting.

[15:14] And always fearful. And always. Like. They don't. They don't know. That they're saved. And it's like.

[15:24] Even on their deathbed. They're still going to be. Kind of. Striving. In this. Uncertainty. That they have. Really.

[15:35] They're living in doubt. And unbelief. Don't you believe. That Jesus Christ is enough. That his blood. Is enough. His blood is sufficient.

[15:48] What can wash away my sin? Nothing. Blood. The blood. Of Jesus. Nothing but the blood. Of Jesus. His blood.

[15:59] Is all I need. Some will try and add to the blood. As if there's some. More work that we do. To deserve God's gift. Again. A great mistake. It's not.

[16:11] The blood of Jesus Christ. Plus. Behavior modification. Not the blood of Jesus Christ. Plus. Moral improvement. It's by the blood.

[16:25] That we can enter in. Hebrews 10. 19. Having therefore. Brethren. Boldness. To enter into the holiest. By the blood of Jesus. We've heard of that. Holiest.

[16:36] Place. Already today. And we can have the boldness. To enter in. Amen. He's invited us in. He's torn the veil. Amen.

[16:46] It's no longer there. The curtain's gone. It's out of the way. And by His blood. We can enter in. We can stride in. With big steps.

[16:57] And boldly enter in. To the very presence. To the very holiest. By the blood of Jesus. There's boldness. Because of the blood today. You have a boldness. His blood is enough.

[17:10] There's access. Into the very holiest. Because of the blood. That's sufficient. For your salvation. The blood of Jesus. Is all that it takes.

[17:21] To pay for my sin. To cleanse me. From my sin. From all unrighteousness. On the cross. What was it. That He cried out. It is.

[17:33] Partially. Finished. No. No sir. What did He say. It is. Finished. Amen.

[17:43] Done. Finished. Complete. Finito. Mission accomplished. Done. Done. All done. When the Lord. Poured out. His judgment.

[17:54] On Egypt. He told Moses. As the tumour of Israel. Were there. Egypt was under. God's. Righteous judgment. There's been. Plagues. And. Signs of God's judgment.

[18:08] That had fallen. And now. The ultimate sign. Was the death. Of the firstborn. And when our Lord. Poured out. His judgment. Upon the land. Of Egypt. He told Moses.

[18:19] When I see the blood. Plus your works. I will pass over you. No. No. He didn't say that. He said. When I see the blood.

[18:31] I will. Pass over you. Amen. It's the blood. That is sufficient. It's the blood. That is sufficient. For your salvation. He didn't say the blood.

[18:42] Plus your works. He said the blood. When I see the blood. I will pass over you. So the people had. To place their faith. Simply in.

[18:53] The virtue. Of this. Shed blood. Of the sacrifice made. They simply had to trust. God's promise. He says. When I see the blood.

[19:03] I will pass over you. He will not pour out. His judgment. Upon you. On your soul. That trust in him. And friends. Today. The truth is. That's enough.

[19:15] The blood. Is enough. That he will not pour his judgment. On any soul. That trusts in him. The blood of Jesus Christ. The blood sacrifice. The Lord Jesus blood sacrifice.

[19:28] Is sufficient. To save him. Simply. Trust that. Trust that. Wholeheartedly. Trust that. And that alone. That the Lord Jesus. Provides a full and free forgiveness.

[19:40] Nothing. Needs to be added. Nothing can. Be added. Yeah. You are not redeemed with corruptible things. 1 Peter 1. Verse 19. But. With the precious blood of Christ.

[19:53] As of a lamb without spot. And without wrinkle. Sorry. Without blemish. And without spot. I want to tell you that. With conviction now. That the blood. Is what we need.

[20:05] The precious blood. Of Christ. Bloodless religion. Won't save your soul. The same religions. The same churches. Well they don't talk about the blood. That's right. That's a shame.

[20:16] The blood. The blood. Is sufficient. The blood. The blood is what we need. The blood. That's enough. That's enough. Don't miss the blood. Philosophy and good works won't save you. But the blood.

[20:27] That's right. The blood that will save you. Hebrews 9. 22. It says. Almost all things are by the Lord purged with blood. And without shedding of blood. There is no remission. No remission.

[20:37] No forgiveness. There's no washing. No cleansing. No forgiveness without the blood. But I'm glad we can start over. Aren't you? We can start over.

[20:48] Not by turning out a new leaf. Not by reforming our character. Not by moral improvement. Not by behaviour modification. But by the blood. The blood is where it starts and finishes.

[20:59] He's the author and finisher. His blood. His mission accomplished. It is finished. That's it. Period. Full stop. I'm glad we can know salvation this morning.

[21:11] Because of the blood of Jesus Christ. And friends. People here today. You may have religion. You may have works. You may have belief.

[21:23] You may have philosophy. You may have lots of good intentions. You might be a really nice guy. A really nice woman. But without the blood.

[21:36] There's no remission for you. Without the blood. You're lost. You're damned. Without the blood. There's nothing you can do. There's nothing you can do. But there's one thing.

[21:49] You can trust. You can trust his blood. You can trust his blood. In a moment. In an instant. In a moment. Of faith. Your eternal destiny.

[22:00] Can be transformed. John wrote. In the book. Of the revelation. Revelation 1.5. Unto him that loved us. And washed us. From our sins.

[22:12] In his own blood. There's a washing. That he's washed us. You know. Don't you want to be clean. Don't you want to stand clean. Before God.

[22:23] You know. We can try to scrub. Scrub ourselves. Red raw. Trying to scrub ourselves. Clean in his sight. But it's only. The washing of the blood. That can wash away our sin.

[22:35] It's the blood that we need. To get clean. And if you want to overcome. The accuser. Of the brethren. Revelation 12. You need the blood. It says. They overcame him. By the blood of the lamb.

[22:46] And by the word of their testimony. And they loved not their lives. Unto the dead. The blood of the lamb. That's what makes the difference. That's sufficient. That's enough for you. This is the one and only cleansing agent.

[22:57] That we need to have in this generation. That's right. And all the previous ones. 1 John 1.7. It says. But if we walk in the light. As he is in the light. We have fellowship one with another.

[23:08] And the blood of Jesus Christ. His son. Cleanseth us. From all sin. All sin. Friends. His grace. Is sufficient. For your weakness. Amen.

[23:18] Amen. Amen. Whatever your thorn. Whatever your hardship. My grace. He says. Is sufficient.

[23:28] Yes. For thee. Personal. Secondly. His blood. Is sufficient. For your salvation. Don't trust anything but the blood.

[23:39] Nothing but the blood. Not the blood plus something. The blood. To wash away your sin. To cleanse your conscience. Your heart. To make you clean.

[23:50] Inside and out. His blood is sufficient. For your salvation. That's enough. That's enough. And thirdly. Another thought.

[24:00] Is that his spirit. Is sufficient. For your service. His spirit. Is sufficient. For your service. Now. As a believer. You may consider yourself.

[24:11] Not able to serve God. To be his minister. Which means his servant. You can perhaps feel inadequate. And not able. You can think of lots of excuses.

[24:23] Lots of excuses. 2 Corinthians 3 verse 5. Paul says. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves. To think anything of ourselves. But our sufficiency is of God.

[24:38] Our sufficiency is of God. Verse 6. Who also hath made us to be able. Ministers of the New Testament. Not of the letter. But of the spirit. For the letter killeth.

[24:49] But the spirit giveth life. Paul says. Our sufficiency is of God. And he has made us able. Ministers. Able to serve him. Now.

[25:00] It's easy to feel powerless. We feel not able. Don't we? I feel totally inadequate. Totally incapable. Totally useless sometimes.

[25:13] But the word tells us that he has made us able. That's what it says. In black and white. And red. He has made us able.

[25:26] It says that. He's written it down. He has made us able. The word tells us. He has made you able. He has made us able. Sometimes I struggle.

[25:37] Sometimes I feel like it's too hard. Sometimes I feel like it's heavy going. But I have learned. That he is able.

[25:48] People are not able. We can't always rely on people. But we can rely on him. Can't we? We can always rely on his strength. Can't we? Psalm 118 verse 8.

[25:58] It says it is better to trust in the Lord. Than to put confidence in man. Don't put confidence in man. Don't put confidence in yourself. Sometimes people put their confidence in themselves.

[26:10] Self confidence. Don't they? That's right. But we'll be disappointed. The one who disappoints me the most in this church. Is the one who looks at me in the mirror every morning.

[26:22] And I think how he should really lift his game. He's dropped the ball. Can't rely on Andrew Craig. Can't rely on him.

[26:33] He messes up. Can't be counted on. Andrew Craig. The one that I have the most trouble with in this church. And you might think of yourself too.

[26:46] Wow. Don't put your confidence in yourself. You'll be disappointed. Some will place their confidence in their own abilities.

[26:58] In the power of the self. You know. There's all sorts of talk of this kind of thing. Isn't there? This self-help. Self-actualization. Self-realization. Self-sufficiency.

[27:10] No. Our sufficiency is not of our self. Our sufficiency is of God. We need a God-sufficiency, don't we? Our confidence is in him. Our sufficiency is found in him.

[27:22] And he has made us able. It says. He has made us able by his spirit. He's told us this in his word. And his spirit is sufficient to enable you.

[27:33] Stop. Stopping yourself. Please. Don't stop yourself. Don't get in your way.

[27:44] For God to use you. For his glory. Paul says the spirit gives life. His spirit is sufficient to enable you. To give you power. He makes you able.

[27:56] Of course, there's work you can do to improve yourself. But ultimately and absolutely, the ability is his enabling, isn't it? And we can feel inadequate.

[28:10] I do all the time. Inadequate in most departments of my life. All of them. But he is enough, isn't he? He is enough.

[28:21] He is sufficient. You know, there's many times in scripture, some accounts of 15, that teach the truth. The Lord is my strength. Some have reckoned, some 15 times at least.

[28:33] The Lord is my strength. And Moses sang this as a song in Exodus 15. He rejoiced. He rejoiced. The Lord is my strength and my song.

[28:44] And he has become my salvation. He is my God. And I will prepare him in habitation. My Father's God. And I will exalt him. The Lord is my strength. And there's at least 32, be strong commands in scripture.

[28:57] Be strong. 32. Most based on God's presence, God's strength. On being courageous. Not being afraid. In battle. Paul told Timothy.

[29:08] 2 Timothy 1. 2 verse 1. Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The Lord has made you capable to serve him.

[29:20] Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We really are. Of course, he's given us the tools that we need. He's given us the scriptures. He's given us commands.

[29:31] He's instructing us to grow, to mature, to build our faith. He's given us his sure word. And most important of all, he has given us of his spirit.

[29:43] Someone was asking me lately. They were kind of challenging me. How do we know that we have the Holy Spirit? And his mindset was in a different place to mine. Certainly it's not in some showy, dramatic display or sham signs.

[30:01] It's not in some spectacle. Or manufactured experience. Or some emotional event, per se. That can happen.

[30:13] But it's about believing the book. It's about believing his promises. It's about doing what he says. And he says if we do what he says, if we trust him, we have the Holy Spirit.

[30:23] It says that you're not of his if you don't have the spirit of God. So when you're saved, you receive the spirit of God. And if we know the Lord Jesus is our saviour, he has given us of his spirit.

[30:38] That's what it says. Some mistakenly think of some Christians as if there's first and second class Christians. Some have got the experience. The experience. The experience.

[30:50] They think that they speak in tongues. Or that they have something extra. Extra biblical. Something extra. But when what they are doing is actually not in accord with the scriptures.

[31:04] And it's not the working of the Holy Spirit at all. It's not the biblical tongues. That's a whole other subject. But the point is, our sufficiency is a God.

[31:17] And the spirit empowers us. His spirit. And his spirit will not work out of accord with the scriptures. But will always work in accord with the scriptures.

[31:29] It will line up. Chapter and verse. Line upon line. Precept upon precept. It will line up with the scriptures. Otherwise it's not the working of the Holy Spirit at all.

[31:40] It's sad to say that's often the case. In some places. His word is to us. The spirit giveth life. And so friends. The scriptures tell us.

[31:53] Our sufficiency is of God. Now you don't need to run off to hear. Or to tune into some supposed great prophet. Or some great healer. You need to put your own simple faith into action.

[32:06] Into practice. And where does God's power work? In some showy signs and wonders kind of hoo-ha? Or is it in just simple faith? Day by day.

[32:17] Step by step. Moment by moment. God working with weak human vessels. That's where it is. Because it's when we are weak that he is strong. I just love the scriptures and promises of the scriptures.

[32:30] One's like 2 Corinthians 4 verse 7. But we have this treasure in what? Earthen vessels. Just clay jars. Just vessels of clay. That the excellency of the power may be of God.

[32:43] Not of us. Amen. Can't you claim that promise today? The power is of God. Not of us. It goes on verse 6. For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness.

[32:54] To shine in our hearts. To give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. In the face of Jesus Christ. The same God almighty who created this world and the massive universe we live in.

[33:06] This is the one we're talking about. The same God. And he says to you in his word. Our sufficiency is of God. God the creator of the universe.

[33:17] Of everything. He is the one we're talking about. Now you might say to me. Creature. I'm all washed up. I'm hurting. I'm wounded. I've prayed and prayed and prayed three times.

[33:31] And God's telling me the same thing. As he told Paul. My grace is sufficient for them. Amen. Amen. He's saying to you. My strength is made perfect in weakness.

[33:46] He's saying to you. My grace is enough to see you through. That's enough. That's enough. You will be closer to God. And you will know his strength.

[33:58] In a greater measure than people who don't have a thorn. One day you'll be thankful for your thorn. I really believe that. You are blessed today.

[34:08] Because of your thorn. Because it's making you rest on him. It's making you stronger. Because you're weaker. You might say to me. I don't know this salvation you're talking about.

[34:20] I've got religion. But I don't have salvation. You have to hear his piercing cry. Afresh today.

[34:30] It is finished. It is finished. You have to see the blood applied. You have to have the blood.

[34:41] The precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish. Shared for you. And when you apply the blood to your life. That's enough. You don't have to live in doubt.

[34:54] And a lack of assurance. Your salvation happened 2,000 years back. When his blood was shed for you. That's enough to redeem your soul.

[35:06] That's enough to wash your heart as clean as clean can be. For eternity. And you might say to me, creature. I'm a Christian. But I'm not serving God like I know he wants me to.

[35:19] What's stopping you? What's stopping you from serving God in this church?

[35:30] What's getting in the way? What's the blockage? Now there's people serving God in all kinds of amazing ways. Ways that wouldn't have thought possible months ago. Like the English language classes.

[35:42] It's an opportunity. There's tracks. Pastor Adam's printing some 20,000 extra tracks soon. There's opportunities galore. Opportunities to pray.

[35:55] Opportunities to witness. Opportunities to serve. Thank God for Michael. He said, I want to serve God. He didn't say, I'm not able.

[36:06] He didn't say, I've got this and that that's going to stop me. It's going to make it hard for me. He's saying, I want to serve. What's stopping you? What's stopping you?

[36:18] People of God. Make a commitment to this. To his church. Where you can serve him. Use the callings, the abilities, the ministries that you have.

[36:30] He's giving you his spirit. His life. His power. His strength. Paul says, the excellency is of God. It's not of us. The excellency of the power is of God.

[36:40] Not of us. The spirit giveth life. Truly our sufficiency is of God. Who has made us. Who has made us able. Able to serve. Moses said, I am not able.

[36:52] Didn't he? I'm not able. I stutter. He would have looked down at his sandals. And he said, I'm not able.

[37:04] Pick Aaron. Jeremiah said, I'm not able. I'm too young. I don't know enough stuff. God has fitted you with everything that you need.

[37:16] His spirit has filled you. That's enough, isn't it? The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead. The same spirit that worked in amazing ways.

[37:27] Right through. From Genesis through. His spirit has filled you. That's enough. Sure, you can keep growing. You can keep studying, maturing in your faith.

[37:40] But we all have the core essentials. Which are, the Lord is my shepherd. That's enough. The same word promises you. He's made you able.

[37:52] Able. When you say, I'm not able. You're being unscriptural. Really. Because God has made you able.

[38:04] He's gifted you. Find out how. And employ yourself. Engage yourself in this. Apply yourself to what God has enabled you to do.

[38:18] We're all enabled in different ways. In different capacities. But I urge you. I don't want to condemn. But let me leave this one question. To ask yourself.

[38:30] How am I holding myself back? How am I holding myself back? If there's things in the way, clear them out of the way. Get it out of the way. Let go of what's stopping you.

[38:40] So you can commit yourself to his service. To his church. You don't need to wait for something else to happen. I've seen many people make this mistake. Of doing nothing. Thinking they are not ready.

[38:52] You know. They think. I've got to do a course. I've got to know more about the Bible. I've got to get this sorted. And that sorted.

[39:03] I've got. I'm busy here. Busy there. Doing this. Doing that. And missing out on God's best. And friends. Don't wait for something to happen. Make it happen.

[39:14] Make it happen. God by his spirit. He said. He's made you able. That's enough. So. The word tells us to. To be content. With such things as you have.

[39:25] It says that our sufficiency is of God. Make the most of what we have. That's what we need to do. You've got. What you have. I've got what I have. Make the most of what you have.

[39:36] And employ it. For the glory of God. And just. A final scripture. It says. And God is able. God is able. To make all grace abound towards you. That you having.

[39:48] Always having. All sufficiency. And all things. May abound to every good work. We have all that we need. All that we need. For every good work. God is sufficient.

[39:59] The Bible is sufficient. The blood is sufficient. And God's spirit. Equips us. And empowers us. He has given us all that we need. And so. Be encouraged today.

[40:12] It's upon him that we must rest. The Lord is. My shepherd. That's enough. For our strength. For our strength.

[40:25] For our salvation. And for our service. That's enough. Our sufficiency is of God. So. Let's stop. Making excuses.

[40:36] Let's stop. Doubting. And let's believe. That God is enough. He's given us enough. Enough to. Help us through the thorns.

[40:49] Ouch. Ouch. My grace. My grace. Is sufficient. For thee. Ouch. My grace.

[41:00] Is sufficient. For thee. Don't let the thorn put you off. It's going to keep you humble. It's going to keep you prayerful. It's going to keep you relying on his grace. It's sufficient.

[41:11] For thee. The blood. It is finished. Don't doubt anymore. Put your trust in the blood of Jesus Christ to save you.

[41:23] If you've yet to trust him. Trust him now. Now. Today. Trust him now. If you'd like prayer. We'd love to guide you further. That you simply call on his name.

[41:37] Turn. In his direction. And find his gift. With an open hand. Receive. And claim it. For yourself.

[41:48] Because of the blood. And. His spirit. The same spirit. That works right through the pages of his scriptures. The same spirit. That. Hovered over the.

[41:59] Face of the deep. And created. Life. The same spirit. Is in you. What's stopping you. From serving God.

[42:11] Find. Different ways you can serve. You might say. I want to know. How I can serve. In this church. I'd love. I'd love to hear some people say that.

[42:23] We can give you some work to do. Don't worry. Pastor Adam. I can only give Pastor Adam so much. He gets overloaded. And he won't be with us soon. So more so. We need some workers.

[42:34] Amen. God is able to make all grace abound towards you. In that ye always. Having all sufficiency. In all things. May abound. To every good word.

[42:45] Let us pray. God is able to make all those brothers.
