Apocalyptic times. What is Babylon? It is a place and a symbol of occult, hidden power. The word Babylon means confusion. It was religious, commercial, and political in its significance. Babylon was a city known for its affluence and sensuality. A place of vice and corruption, Babylon is Antichrist's kingdom. The spirit of Babylon is at work, even now. Many are bewitched by demonic influence. It was a city birthed in pride and rebellion. We see glimpses of Babylon in the EU in Brussels, and in the apostate church, centred in the Pope's Rome. The Statue of Liberty is actually a Masonic idol - the goddess, Ishtar. Spiritual darkness is everywhere. We will touch on the masonic hand gestures, the Dagon fish-god hat., pyramids, occult symbols on the New King James Version (NKJV), the US one dollar bill, the capstone, the Illuminati, the all seeing eye, Mary worship, Hillsong, Rick Warren, Lady Gaga, Ke$sha, Billy Graham, Kiss, Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Justin Beiber, Eminem, Celine Dion, Amy Grant, Bono, and the ecumenical movement. We are called to flee Babylon. Come out of her my people. We are called not to associate at all with anything that smells of Babylon. Broadcast live on 12th March 2017 at Church For You Elizabeth South Australia - www.cforu.net
[0:00] I'm talking about Mystery Babylon, Mystery Babylon the Great.! And don't you just love a good mystery?! Everything is hidden right up until the last chapters of the book, until finally everything is revealed.
[0:16] ! The mystery is revealed. And the book of Revelation is like a mystery, unveiled. It's the apocalypse, the unveiling, the revelation of Jesus Christ, the revealing of our Lord.
[0:28] And the book also speaks about another mystery, the Mystery Babylon the Great. And it's just a matter of time until these things unveil and are revealed to us.
[0:40] So truly we are living in apocalyptic times. Apocalyptic times. We see, if you've got your Bibles there, Revelation 18. We'll read about Babylon.
[0:52] It says there, Revelation 18, from verses 1 through 5. And after these things, I, John, saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power. And the earth was lightened with his glory.
[1:04] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
[1:17] For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her. And the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
[1:29] And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
[1:45] Babylon. Babylon is often mentioned in the word of God. So what is Babylon? And what does it mean? What is Babylon?
[1:56] What does it mean? Babylon, it was an actual place. An actual tangible city, a place, an empire. And it's also a symbol, a picture of the occult, of hidden power.
[2:09] We're told that it's mystery Babylon. Mystery Babylon. Babylon. As we'll see in another verse, chapter 17, uses this phrase, Mystery Babylon the Great.
[2:27] It's a feature of the end times of the world. Now the word Babylon means confusion, confusion. In the Assyrian language, the word means the gate of God.
[2:39] It was an empire, a country, a capital, and a city. And the Babylonian empire extended right through a large part of what is now modern day Turkey, Iraq, through Jordan, parts of Egypt, the northern part of Saudi Arabia.
[2:57] And this Babylonian empire was quite a dominant feature of the end days. And in the Bible we see Babylon is talked about as being religious, as in Revelation chapter 17.
[3:12] We see the religious aspect of Babylon. In Revelation 18 we see it had a commercial aspect. There was trading, there was merchants. And in Revelation 19 we see there's a military aspect, a political dimension.
[3:28] So we see religious, Revelation 17, commercial, Revelation 18, and military, slash political, Revelation 19. And the city of Babylon was founded not long after the great flood.
[3:43] The man Nimrod established this city state, Nimrod. And the walls of Babylon were really wide. They were some 75 foot thick.
[3:55] And the walls were some 300 foot high. 300 foot high. So we see it's certainly a very telling sign.
[4:08] But it's that Babylon had a gate called the Ishtar Gate. And this was a very ornate gate. And Babylon was a city known for its affluence and sensuality.
[4:20] It was a place that was known for its vice and corruption. And I put to you that we see the corruption and confusion of Babylon at work in our world today.
[4:32] And in the modern culture that we live. And even in the church, which I'll demonstrate as we get there. So Babylon certainly is very predominant through the word of God.
[4:43] And we see it was very evident as a center of evil. And a dimension, a symbol of the evil that we'll see is especially evident in modern days.
[4:59] As we come to see some of the signs and symbols as we unfold that later. So Babel was the main city of Babylon. And we read of Babel in Genesis chapter 10 where we see the first mention of Babel.
[5:14] And the first mention of things in the Bible is an important biblical concept. Genesis chapter 10 from verse 8 through 10. We read, And Cush begat Nimrod, and he began to be a mighty one.
[5:28] Here we go. I'll just flick through just to catch up where we're up to. Mystery Babylon the Great. So we see, we're in these end times. We've read through Revelation 18.
[5:40] The kings of the earth. We see, he says, come out of her my people. We see the Babylonian empire here. So we've got the Babylonian empire extending right over quite a wide area there.
[5:54] We see the walls of Babylon. We see the Ishtar Gate. A model of it there. And we see that Cush begat Nimrod. He was a mighty hunter. Nimrod, the mighty hunter.
[6:07] And then we see that Nimrod built a city. A tower. Now, I'll put to you today that Babylon is not just something way back in history.
[6:18] It's happening now. It's happening today and yet to come. Babylon is still at work in our present world. And Satan has a kingdom. The Antichrist has a kingdom. And Babylon is the Antichrist kingdom.
[6:30] And the spirit of Babylon is at work even now behind every system that is lawless and corrupt, ungodly and wicked. Many today are enticed and bewitched by the world system and the glitz and glamour of it.
[6:43] And the pattern has always been the same right from the beginning. God had told Noah and his sons to scatter themselves abroad, to propagate, to fill the earth.
[6:54] But instead, the descendants of Noah disobeyed God. And they came together at Babel. And they set up this building about building this high place of worship in defiance of God.
[7:05] And here we see an artist's representation. It was man's first attempt at a one world movement. And Nimrod was attempting to build a one world empire without the blessing or direction of God.
[7:19] Nimrod is for us a picture or a type of the Antichrist. He was the great grandson of Noah. Nimrod was also the founder of Nineveh, the wicked place where Jonah went to preach.
[7:32] We know how wicked Nineveh was. It was known for its wickedness too. Babylon has a present day influence. And we see this today, as I'll try to reflect in some pictures of today's time, we see that Babylon is reflected in such things as the United Nations and the European Parliament.
[7:54] Here is the Brussels EU building. It's interesting to note, it's got these massive number of seats, but seat number 666 is vacant.
[8:05] No one's going to sit in that seat. Not yet. And we see that the European Parliament is modelled after the cursed Tower of Babel. Here's one of their representations that they put out there saying, Europe, many tongues, one voice.
[8:24] You know, they're reflecting back to Babel. Deliberately. There's no hiding of it here. It's not mystery. It's not covert, occult, hidden. It's wide open. Here it is.
[8:35] We're Babel. That's what they're saying. And this building, the very building of the EU Parliament, here it is. It's called the Tower Building. Named after the Tower of Babel.
[8:46] And it houses the Parliament of Europe. And it's certainly a building out of the space age. People have reflected. It looks like the crew seats on the Star Trek Enterprise.
[8:57] You know, it's all very modern and high-tech. And the legislative amphitheatre is arranged in a massive hemis circle, and it has 679 seats. But one of them is not occupied.
[9:09] And each is assigned to a particular lawmaker. So you've got seat 663 is Representative Sochette. 664, Thomas Moreau.
[9:20] 665 is Zizner. Then it goes to 667 to Representative Capato. So while these seats are allocated to members, the one seat remains unallocated and occupied.
[9:32] And out of the front of the EU office is this statue. It's a statue of a woman riding a beast. A woman riding a beast. Babylon was the location of this Tower of Babel.
[9:45] And effectively it was a symbol of satanic power. We see that later in Daniel's time, we see how Nebuchadnezzar tried to do the same thing in the same basic location, to have this huge idol of himself, to gather everyone together as some one world church.
[10:01] And it will be the same in the end of the world. The same demonic influences at work. Friends, today Babylon is a symbol of man's rebellion against God. And we read of this great tower further in Genesis 11, where it says, And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
[10:19] And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly.
[10:31] And they had brick for stone, and slime they had day for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven.
[10:42] And let us make a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Again, here is a representation of what it might have looked like. And this tower was all about giving glory to man.
[10:55] We call it humanism today, don't we? Humanism. Glory to man. Let's get together. Let's make a name for ourselves. Let's build a tower. Man has turned away from God.
[11:07] And this is evident that it is going on today. As he set about building a tower straight up to heaven. This was a place of apostasy. It was a place of falling away.
[11:19] A city conceived in pride, and man's rebellion and self-glory. Pride leads to destruction, the Bible tells us. Pride deceives us, and it spreads like a deadly virus.
[11:32] And Nimrod was the human father of all false religion. His tower of Babel had a religious intent. His top may reach unto heaven, they wanted. This tower was, as we call such buildings today, a ziggurat.
[11:48] A ziggurat with a runway of stairs that went around the edge up to the top. And at the top of such towers, as we see evidence of today, still there was an altar used for pagan sacrifice.
[12:01] That was the intent of this tower of Babel. And the Bible speaks of an end-time Babylon, a Babylon to come, in Revelation 17 and 18. It is described as a great whore, and the mother of harlots.
[12:15] This Babylon is a modern church state system, and its leaders will literally fight Christ at his second coming. We see in Revelation 17, verses 12 to 14.
[12:27] Now this Babylon is a mystery. We see again, we'll turn to Revelation 17, and read a bit more about this mystery. This mystery, as we're getting to kind of get a feel for who could this be, what could it be.
[12:41] I won't really say that, because still, it really is a mystery. But we can get some signs and symbols and pictures and some inkling of where it might lead to. Revelation 17, from verse 1, it says, There came one of the angels, which hath the seven vials, and talked with me, saying, Come up hither.
[13:00] I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters. With him the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
[13:12] So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet-coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven horns, seven heads and ten horns.
[13:26] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand, full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.
[13:38] And upon her forehead was written a name, Mystery Babylon the Great. Mystery Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.
[13:53] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. Mystery Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.
[14:11] Here is what an artist has pictured this as looking like. A horrific picture, a woman, a prostitute, a harlot, a whore, sitting on a beast.
[14:23] And her name is Babylon the Great. Babylon still exists today, but it is covert. It is hidden.
[14:34] Hidden yet in plain sight. In plain sight. That's occult. Secret. Hidden. It's shrouded. It's covered. Out of sight.
[14:46] Yet in plain sight. And the signs and symbols I put to you today are all around us on planet earth, all around us on the media, everywhere, all around us.
[14:58] Hidden. In plain sight. The signs and symbols. If we will but open our eyes. Now, some of this is a degree of conjecture, a degree of reflection of likenesses to what the scriptures talk about.
[15:13] So, bear with me while I put to you some impressions that I have about Babylon. Mystery Babylon the Great.
[15:23] I'm not saying it's necessarily directly these things, but these are pictures that, to me, sound very much fitting with the picture of Mystery Babylon the Great.
[15:35] For example, the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty has become the most cherished symbol of the United States of America. It sits astride the harbour of New York.
[15:48] It's an impressive structure. We see many pictures of this statue. This famous statue has much occult symbolism.
[16:00] It is really an idol. An idol. A goddess. And I read that the original design of the statue, or as it was for it, to hold up a cup.
[16:15] A cup. The item was originally designed to be a golden cup filled with the wine of freedom. And this golden cup remained in the planning and was actually made.
[16:29] However, before completion of the entire statue, the New York Port authorities asked for a modification that it be an eternal flame to act as a kind of lighthouse for the night-time navigation of the ships in the harbour.
[16:44] So they modified the basic cup design to allow for a natural gas flame to be utilised. And the torch we see today in the hand of the Statue of Liberty is actually the same type of cup design used in ancient times for drinking wine.
[17:00] It featured a handle for the cup at the bottom and the handle looked much like a stick. Interesting, is it not? And if we look down at the base of the statue, you'll see there the Masonic signs down the bottom.
[17:19] The base of the statue was a foundation laid by the Grand Master of Masons for the state of New York who laid the foundation stone in 1884 to the glory of Freemasonry.
[17:34] This statue really represents the Babylonian goddess, Ishtar, the Babylonian goddess. As we see here pictured, on the right you see the Statue of Liberty and on the left you see the Babylonian goddess, Ishtar.
[17:53] Now symbols both reveal and conceal. They are all around us. Popular culture is filled with images, isn't it? The media, we're constantly bombarded with media pictures, aren't we?
[18:04] Popular culture is full of this. And sometimes we're completely unaware about these signs and symbols that are all around us. Sometimes we pass by landmarks without thinking, without really thinking and examining.
[18:18] What do they mean? What do they stand for? What do the scriptures tell us about statues? Statues and obelisks. Leviticus 26, verse 1, we read, Our Lord says, Ye shall make you no idols, nor graven image.
[18:38] Neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall you set up an image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it. For I am the Lord your God. The word of God says, Don't make any statues.
[18:52] You know, why would you have statues, icons, things graven, crucifixes, why would you have anything of that hung up? The Bible's against it. You shall make no idols, no graven images, no image of stone, to bow down unto it.
[19:07] Yet people, well-meaning people, innocently, well-meaning people have such things and you may not have heard such a thing before, but the Bible is very, very clear. No images.
[19:19] No graven images. And we see the signs and symbols of Babylon and Baal are all around us. Again, back in the US of A, in Washington DC, we see an obelisk, an obelisk, another occult symbol.
[19:34] An obelisk is this pointy, upright structure. Now bear with me for being somewhat graphic here. The obelisk represents Baal's organ of reproduction.
[19:45] This is the Baal's organ of reproduction, the obelisk, the phallic symbol. The obelisk, it's evident also in the Vatican, the seat of power of the Pope of Rome.
[19:57] Here we see the obelisk, as you see there, Washington DC. On one side it's got this kind of lake area and then we see it's right behind the White House. The White House in Washington DC, the seat of power for the government of the US of A, really the most powerful nation on planet Earth and the obelisk is right there.
[20:19] Right behind the White House. And then we see in the Vatican, right square centre, in the very Vatican, in the very centre of the Vatican gathering point there, is the very same obelisk that once stood at the ancient temple, which was at the centre of Egyptian paganism.
[20:38] was taken from Egypt and planted right there where the Romish Pope based himself. And it now stands before the mother church of Romanism.
[20:50] The Bible tells us of this religious Babylon. This Babylon, as a great whore, will seduce the world and entice the world with the wine of her false teaching.
[21:02] Friends, we need to wise up. what is behind this? Some people forget the bloodshed and brutality of Rome. The bloodshed where Bible-believing Christians were chased down and slain, crucified, burnt at the stake, tortured in unimaginable ways.
[21:27] The mystery Babylon still is about us today. and it's enticing the peoples of the earth to worship the Antichrist and to come under his spell. Religious Babylon is set upon a scarlet beast and this false religion of the end time is shown as supported and dependent upon the state.
[21:47] It will be corrupt. Corrupt. And like any kind of falsehood or counterfeit, there's degrees of truth mixed in there. I'll quote the Bible.
[21:57] But all the lies of tradition, of error. And the harlot of Revelation 17 holds this cup filled full with the abominable things of filth.
[22:10] False religion is a corrupted mixture, a corruption, a pollution, a perversion. It's repulsive and it's a mystery. People innocently go and follow the Pope and think he's a great guy and yet they don't realise what is going on.
[22:28] And he's not changed his doctrine, his dogma. It's still the same evil doctrine. Nimrod's Babylon is alive today, alive and well on planet Earth and there's some forms of Freemasonry that are still required to take the oath of Nimrod, the oath of Nimrod, even in the very centre of power, as it were, in Queen's England, the Queen's England.
[22:56] We see many signs and hand gestures and handshakes. I'm just going to flick through a few quick examples of that. Now these may not look that obvious to you, but don't forget, hidden in plain sight.
[23:12] Hidden in plain sight. Here we see the Queen's Crest and we see the square and rule, whatever they call it, of the Freemasons.
[23:23] Here we see the Queen, Prince Philip there, with an obvious Freemasonic handshake. Now I don't know how to do such things. I've had people press my knuckles and try to explain, but this is a Masonic handshake right there in front of the Queen herself, Prince Philip.
[23:41] It's a sign of Freemasonry. We see here the Queen gathered with President Bush at the time and notice, I don't know if you can see quite clearly there.
[23:51] He's got his hand like that. It's the horn salute of the devil. It's a sign as he's doing it there, just hidden slightly, just deliberately moving his hand such that he's doing the horn salute of the horned one, the devil.
[24:12] Here we see our own Prime Minister Turnbull. This is another Freemasonic sign, apparently. It's another sign. There's all these signs and symbols, different things they do with their coats and hands and whatnot.
[24:24] Here we see President Obama, again, the horn salute, the devil's horns. Hit it in plain sight. We see these things all the time on the media.
[24:35] You might watch some of these politicians and they just casually do these different movements and it's all symbolic and it's communicating to all those in the know that they're part of the club.
[24:49] Here we see the Pope himself. There's a close-up there of the Freemasonic handshake again. Many are worshipping a false god and they don't realise it's wrong. It's covert.
[25:00] It's hidden in plain sight. Mystery, Babylon. Friends are put to you, seducing spirits are at work and the Pope is evidently a key player. You know, like someone has said, there is something fishy about the Pope.
[25:14] Here we see the fish god. On the left here you have a priest of Dagon. Dagon, the fish god. Can you see how it's got like a fish with the mouth of the fish and the kind of robe behind his neck as the kind of back of the fish.
[25:31] There's something fishy going on here, people of God. This fish hat, the fish god, is still evident today. We see, as you see, put it on the side, it's a fish. Put it on his head, it's the bishop's hat, the mitre.
[25:45] And Dagon's priest wore this very same headdress. It was the fish god of the pagans. Religious Babylon, that's what it is. And it's the mother of many false religions today.
[25:58] The fish god of Egypt. And this unholy, ungodly spirit is at work today across many false religions and movements and teachings right across the centuries and it's still at work today.
[26:12] And all of this draws back from this Babylonian system of false worship that the word warns of. It is a mystery religion. Hidden.
[26:24] Many don't know that they've deceived. There's many good, well-meaning people that are in this stuff and they don't see it. Their eyes haven't been opened. They're still held captive.
[26:35] And sometimes these secret signs and symbols in the media through the pop culture, they sneak in unnoticed. We're just oblivious to it because we think, oh, maybe it's an innocent mistake.
[26:48] He just waved his hand like that or whatever it was. It was just a coincidental thing. Unintentional? By mistake? By mere coincidence?
[27:01] Or is it by design? Could it be by design? Put there on purpose as a sign and symbol of Babylon. Now, again, this might shock some of you here and again, you might think, well, this is just conjecture and interpret it as you will.
[27:20] But notice this thing here, this sign, this symbol here. This is a book of witchcraft. A book of witchcraft and the symbol used is this kind of intersecting shape.
[27:36] If you look at it carefully, you can make a six, six, six out of it if you actually work it out. There's three sixes there joined together. Now, again, this is interesting. And, again, just take it or leave it.
[27:49] But it's very interesting that this very same symbol appears here on the New King James version as the symbol that they use on their front cover or they used to.
[28:01] In some versions, it's particularly used by the New King James Bible for some reason. Interesting, isn't it? Coincidental or by design?
[28:12] Is this the spirit of Babylon at work again? It's a mystery, isn't it? Maybe someone just innocently thought it was a nice little shape to put on the front of that Bible. So, in other words, it's a mystery.
[28:25] It's hidden. It's secret. Confided only to the initiator. We see here a pyramid. And on the top of a pyramid, they have a capstone. A capstone.
[28:36] We see here on the reverse of the US $1, the capstone, the eye of Lucifer, on the top of the pyramid. And many are being misled today.
[28:48] New Age Luciferians call Satan the capstone. The capstone. Notice the occult symbols are appearing everywhere and we see it right here on something that American citizens use day by day, the $1 bill.
[29:03] And notice the detached capstone above the pyramid base. The base represents the masses of humanity, the slaves of world government. And the all-seeing eye of Lucifer is the angel of light, the spirit of the Antichrist, deceiving and deluding millions.
[29:20] And Lucifer is the capstone of the pyramid of the new world order, the world government, to come. Maybe it's not to come, maybe it's already in place.
[29:30] It's just not revealed yet. But it's interesting again, again, you might think, oh you're stretching it here preacher, this is a bit out there. But again, let me just tell you what I've heard and read and research it for yourself.
[29:44] One of the most popular New Age Bible versions of the 20th century, the New International Version, calls Jesus Christ the capstone. in Matthew 21, 42.
[29:56] Matthew 21, 42, the NIV calls Christ the capstone. It's interesting, they changed it later. They updated it in 2011.
[30:06] Maybe they thought they were getting into too much hot water. But I wonder if the enemy is at work, even in Bible translation. I think it's quite unfortunate that the NIV would say that Jesus is the capstone, the top of the pyramid, rather than the cornerstone, the chief cornerstone.
[30:25] Here's the chief cornerstone. Is this just unfortunate or is it deliberate? Is it deliberate? I question that. Here's the cornerstone. The most important stone in the building was the cornerstone.
[30:38] It set the level, the angle, the dimensions of the building. It had to be level and vertical and squared so that all the other stones could fit according to it. If the cornerstone was not level, then the wall of the building would fall and lean.
[30:54] Christ is the chief cornerstone. He's not the capstone of the pyramid. He is the chief cornerstone. And the apostate church is creeping, there's this creeping compromise all the time.
[31:08] And we're kind of not aware of it. It's kind of, that's just too amazing to be true. It's unbelievable. Babylon speaks of false religion, of a counterfeit, of a mixture of paganism with truth.
[31:26] And this unholy mixture has got a mass appeal. You wonder whether the adoration of Mary may be a common link between Roman Catholicism, corrupt Catholicism, and Islam.
[31:39] Mary is a common link. It's very interesting. Both corrupt Roman Catholicism and Islam revere Mary. Mary. They revere Mary.
[31:50] Very, very interesting, I put to you, isn't it? Very, very interesting. It's very interesting that Mary is the only woman named in the Koran. It refers to her some 70 times.
[32:05] It refers to Mary, the Koran refers to Mary, more times than the New Testament does. Baal worship is alive and well on planet Earth.
[32:17] We know Baal, Mary worship, it's all part of the same evil movement. And I put to you today that we're witnessing this slow and subtle slide, this incremental change, this Trojan horse.
[32:33] The Bible talks about a synagogue of Satan as describing the false or apostate church where the unholy is welcomed in at every quarter and accepted in the worship of the holy God.
[32:46] We must sound a warning, we must reject that which is wrong with biblical reproof and speak out. We must love and obey the word of God. Now I'm going to name some names here and again some of you might say, preacher, that's a bit tough, a bit rough, a bit hard, a bit harsh.
[33:06] Hillsong's Darlene Czech. Hillsong, she's written some quite catchy little tunes. Hillsong's Darlene Czech. She performs for the Roman Catholic context at times.
[33:19] And she is quoted as saying there is a new sound and a new song being proclaimed across the earth. It's the sound of a unified church.
[33:32] End quote. Now the lines are blurring as people are flocking back to the folds of Mother Rome and worshipping the way for God. The enemy is busily at work today.
[33:45] False gospels abound and many Christians are just getting swept along with the tide. Just jump on the bandwagon. Doctrines of devils, it's all catchy and hip.
[33:56] Let's just join the wagon. And idolatry and occult abounds. Unbelief and atheism. Good is called evil. Evil is called good. And we're seeing these inverted values.
[34:10] We don't know where the truth is anymore. We must hold fast sound doctrine. We must search it out. Search the scriptures. See if I'm wrong. Search the scriptures.
[34:20] Search for yourself. And find the truth. And do what is truly pleasing unto the Lord. Because God warns that judgment will fall on Babylon. We see in Revelation 18 verse 10 that it tells us, alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city, for in one hour is thy judgment come.
[34:42] Judgment looms for Babylon. Revelation 18 10, thy judgment is come. Babylon is a pagan culture and mindset that is under the judgment of God.
[34:53] We should want no part of it. And it will be destroyed by God. We see false religion, we see atheism. It's all part of this package of this falsehood. False gods and idols that abound even in today's culture.
[35:06] Now let me talk about the word culture. Babylon is a culture. Here's what a secular source has said about culture. And as God's people we need to be aware of adopting the ways of Babylon, the culture of Babylon.
[35:23] As someone has said of culture, it's a pattern of behaviour. Learned, developed or otherwise, worked well enough to be considered valid, taught to new members as the correct way to perceive, think and feel in relation to those problems.
[35:38] Culture is about how we perceive, think and feel. And think about today's culture. We're immersed in it. We can't help it. We go down the shop and you're blasted with it.
[35:49] You go over McDonald's and it's in your face on the big screen and all the fleshly display of it. You can't avoid it. Today's culture, we're immersed in it.
[36:00] And let's look at some snapshots now of this modern culture. This modern culture. It's the culture of this modern day. And it affects us.
[36:13] It affects us without us even realising it. Let's look at a few snapshots of modern culture and see if we can't find some traces of this mystery.
[36:23] This mystery that we're searching for. This mystery that will be unveiled. This mystery Babylon is here. Now some of these names I scarcely know myself but I know that some of them are top of the pops.
[36:36] And some of you might want to jive and jazz to their tunes. Maybe some of you play it on your CD or your radio going home from church. But here's some of the names, the big names, the big idols.
[36:50] They call themselves idols of our day. Here's one of them. Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga. Here she's got a ring here with the goat's head on it.
[37:02] She's wearing the goat's head on her hand. Lady Gaga. The Beatles. Oh they're harmless enough. The yellow submarine. But look at their signs. Look at their gestures.
[37:13] Look at what they're saying and doing. Not even aside from their lifestyle. But you see the signs here. The 666. Notice that.
[37:24] 666. Six. Three fingers up. It's the 666 symbol and we've got the devil's horns right there on the yellow submarine. The harmless Beatles.
[37:36] So harmless. Here's another one. Beyonce. Beyonce. She's doing it twice. Now the OK sign has nothing to do with being OK.
[37:49] The OK sign is one of the most satanic hand gestures anyone can make. It's actually three sixes. Three sixes. Notice that. Three fingers makes it three sixes.
[38:02] Here's another one. Keisha. She's out there and she's got the pyramid on her back and displaying it for all the world to see. The pyramid with the eye of Lucifer on top.
[38:14] Keisha. One of today's modern rock idols. Here we have Kiss. Some people think there's nothing wrong with Kiss. I've had Christians tell me there's nothing wrong with Kiss.
[38:25] But he's doing the devil's horn salute. Hillary Clinton. She's out too. But not to be outdone we've got President Trump and friend. President Trump.
[38:36] And it's interesting when you watch President Trump you see him doing this all the time. Have you noticed that? He does that all the time. All the time. Just watch him next time he says something.
[38:47] Here's Pope Francis and friend. He's out of two. Here's Justin Bieber. Here's the eye of Horus. The eye of Horus another satanic symbol. Justin Bieber.
[38:59] He's harmless isn't he? He goes to a church doesn't he? He goes to Hillsong doesn't he? Yes we know who he belongs to because of what he's doing with his hand. We see Madonna.
[39:10] Here's Madonna surrounded by some other players here some of the artists you would call them with their horns on their heads.
[39:20] It's really out there. How blatant is this? This is Madonna. Here's Jay-Z. Jay-Z the eye of Horus the eye of Lucifer the Illuminati the eye of Lucifer.
[39:33] If you kids are listening to this stuff this rap song garbage Jay-Z is going to the pit of hell. That's who he belongs to. He belongs to the devil. He's saying I belong to Satan.
[39:43] That's what he's doing when he does that with his hands. People of God we need to wise up. Here's Fergie. Fergie again. It's the eye of Horus stuff. She's doing this stuff with her hands again.
[39:55] Harmless hand gestures. No. It's evident. It's all over the internet. Do a bit of a search for such things and you'll see that there's I'm really just scratching the surface here.
[40:05] There's really out there. Eminem. There's no mistaking who he belongs to. Kate Perry. She was raised in a Christian home. Here she's got the eye of the Egyptian god there.
[40:20] Britney Spears. Same thing. Some people might think these are harmless people. These are oh that's kind of easy listening stuff. But it's where they belong. It's who they're affiliated with.
[40:31] It's who they're identifying with. It's who they're saying I belong to Satan. That's what they're saying when they do these things. Celine Dion. Again the eye. Even Amy Grant.
[40:44] Amy Grant. Bono. He claims to be a Christian doesn't he? You too. Bono. The devil's salute. He's saying I belong to Satan. That's what he's saying when he does that.
[40:56] Here's Beyonce again. Notice the pyramid. Notice the pyramid. It's very evident. The pyramid. Now here's another pyramid.
[41:06] This is in a church. It's Hillsong. It's Hillsong. They love showing the pyramid in Hillsong. It's crazy stuff.
[41:17] That's Hillsong. And here's an openly gay couple. Well what the world would call gay. But we know there's nothing gay about it. As an openly gay couple they are actively a part of Hillsong, New York City.
[41:30] What is going on? What is going on people? It's all setting the stage for the Antichrist. That's what it is. It's sickening. But we must open our eyes to see the mystery Babylon is at work here.
[41:44] Idolatry is happening today and the Bible is clear. Little children keep yourselves from idols. Keep yourselves from idols. I know as a young man I know my sisters had some idols.
[41:56] And the posters were all over their bedroom walls. And you know keep yourselves from idols. Don't have a bar of it. Don't buy into that. Idolatry. We see the idols of sport, of relationships, of business, of affluence.
[42:11] We see the idols around us today. It's everywhere we look there's idolatry in our society. We're not bowing down to statues as in some cultures but we're bowing down to these images, these pictures of spiritual darkness.
[42:29] Babylon is spoken of as a kind of temptress. We see in Revelation 18 where it talks about the materialistic side of Babylon.
[42:39] We see that the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her. That's Revelation 18. One of the biggest things about Babylon is this pull, this magnetic attraction of materialism.
[42:52] It's another aspect of Babylon in this present world because never in the history of planet earth have we had so much access to material goods. I know someone was telling me lately they got a new mobile phone.
[43:07] Well apparently last year 1.2 billion mobile phones were sold. There's a lot of people buying mobile phones. We see lots of money changing hands.
[43:18] There's an Xbox game called Modern Warfare that made 1 billion dollars of sales in the first 16 days. It was released. 1 billion in 16 days.
[43:31] People love this stuff. It's materialism. And last year people in Europe and the USA spent 12 billion dollars on perfume. One year.
[43:43] 12 billion dollars in perfume. I'm sure they smell much nicer for it. And you don't have to look that far to see materialism. We see Babylon.
[43:53] We see the influence is on us, isn't it? We can't help it. We're living in it. You know, how much time we spend, how much money we spend, how much money we waste.
[44:04] Babylon. It's everywhere, isn't it? And one day a leader will arise. A leader will arise. A Messiah. A Saviour. Will come. And we will bow down to him.
[44:16] Many of us. We see, even now, in North Korea. Here's some people and they're all bowed like that. They're all bowed down to this idol of the North Korean leader.
[44:30] The supreme leader, they call him. They worship and adore their leader. And I'm sure Malcolm Turnbull would love us to be doing that. But we don't have that in Australia.
[44:43] But in some countries, they call the leader, this North Korean dictator, the supreme leader. You have to call him that and show your adoration or you get killed. So there's a good incentive for you.
[44:56] And he governs that nation with an iron fist. And he shakes his fist against every other country. And they clap when he does that.
[45:07] Because they revere him as the supreme leader. One day the supreme leader will come for planet Earth. The empire of the Antichrist will come.
[45:18] And what are Christians to do in such a time as this? Increasingly, there's a mood within professing Christendom to let's all get together. Let's all get together in ecumenical events.
[45:33] Now we're not against joining hands with like-minded churches who love the Word of God and who stand firmly shoulder to shoulder with us, with the Word of God.
[45:44] But there's this trend, this movement today of ecumenical events. And one such event was called Together 2016. Together 2016.
[45:57] Everyone was there. Pope Francis made a guest appearance via video. And he endorsed this ecumenical event. And incidentally, you know, just by chance, just interesting, isn't it, where it was?
[46:13] Where it was? Incidentally, it was in front of the grand, the great obelisk on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
[46:24] Everybody was there. Francis Champ, Ravi Zacharias, the Southern Baptist Convention President, Michael W. Smith, Hillsong United, Lecrae, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Kirk Franklin, among others.
[46:41] Together 2016. And the organiser, Nick Hall, said, everything now is protest. I'm against this. Or I hate that. We really believe there is a longing to come together.
[46:54] We don't have to agree on everything. But we can come together around the hope of Jesus. And there are moments when God's people come together. And God does something that can heal, change, and define generations.
[47:07] And the worship leader, Matt Mayher, was there. He identifies as a Roman Catholic, and he said, if we're singing the same songs together, then we can't yell at each other.
[47:19] We are singing the same songs together today. Across many circles of churches, we're singing the same songs together as the Roman Catholics, as against you name it.
[47:30] And this Matt Mayher, who's also a popular rock gospel kind of musician, he believes that his calling is to work towards the unification of Christians and Catholics.
[47:42] Have they forgotten about the reformers? Have they forgotten about the bloodshed? Have they forgotten about the brutality of the Inquisition? Have they forgotten about the torture, the wounding, the burning at the stake, when true Bible believing Christians stood up for something?
[48:01] It's an evident trend today. Babylon rising. Here is Darlene Chegg, again, greeting the Pope. She'd just performed for him at one of his events where he later celebrated the blasphemous Mass.
[48:17] And here also is Rick Warren greeting the Pope. It's like everybody wants to be pictured with the Pope, despite all his falsehoods and his blasphemous doctrines which have not changed.
[48:30] Babylon is rising. What are we to do? What are we to do? As Bible believing Christians. Now again, you might say, preacher, you're being too hard, you're being too harsh, you're picking on people, you're naming names, you're shaming and naming.
[48:46] Friends, it's the truth. I'm just representing to you what the truth is, what is actual factual. You can't argue with these pictures, with these stories that I'm telling you that are news stories.
[49:00] Babylon is cursed. We must flee to Christ. That is the answer. Babylon, mystery, Babylon, the great. We don't know exactly what shape or form it will take. It seems to me that largely the Pope is front and centre, an integral part of it.
[49:16] It seems like the Pope of Rome is very much at the core of such a thing as this end time Babylon. But we're not clear.
[49:28] It's still a mystery that is yet to be fully revealed. But we can see the signs and symbols, can't we? I put to you the signs and symbols that are all around us. And John says, I heard a voice from heaven.
[49:41] And the voice said, come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, that you receive not of her plagues. The word of God, the God of the Bible says to us, come out of her, my people.
[49:58] We're called not to associate at all with anything that smells of Babylon. Now, of course, we live in Babylon. This is a Babylonian culture, ever more so.
[50:09] And every day we're tempted, we're enticed, we're bombarded, we're besieged, we're totally surrounded by this culture that it's very easy to absorb.
[50:21] And jive along with the songs they sing. And maybe ignore the hand gestures and the identity that they have. Because it's easy to get sucked in to the devil's whirlpool.
[50:33] And the world is at it again today that the world is continuing to build, continuing this work on the city of man, Babel. They want to shake their fist at God and say, we're going to make a name for ourselves.
[50:47] We're going to build a tower that reaches unto heaven. They want to name and control everything. They want to show off the glory of man, humanism. But we are called to seek another city, the new Jerusalem, the city which is to come, this eternal kingdom that will be saved from the corrupting influence of sin.
[51:07] And our Lord says to us, He says to us, come out of her, my people. Mystery, Babylon the great. He calls us to flee this Babylon. Of course we know that tower of Babel was brought down and the people scattered as the Babel became a babble because the tongues got confused and people couldn't communicate and they dispersed as God had told them to do at the start.
[51:35] And it was a judgment on the people of Babel. And friends, judgment is coming, it's around the corner. Come out of her, my people. He calls us to flee to Christ.
[51:46] He is our only sure refuge. The only sure refuge in a world gone mad and going madder by the minute. We need Christ. Flee to Christ.
[51:58] He says, come out of her, my people. Get out of Babylon because it's about to fall. And the Lord warns us to flee modern Babylon. God's people must come out of her.
[52:09] So friends, I put to you today that we are in testing times. Testing, testing times. Kangama, you can take over now.
[52:21] Testing times. As we see the signs and symbols. And maybe you'll tune in a bit more now when you see some of those pictures and sights and sounds of the modern media, of the modern idols that they like to call themselves.
[52:41] And you'll see those hand gestures. You see it at the Olympics time, for example, where it's just out there in your face. All the imagery, occult imagery. It's just really full on around the times of the Olympics.
[52:55] We see it more covert, including in, for example, and you might think this way out there again, in some of the Disney movies. Some of the Disney movies, it's covert.
[53:06] Some of it's actually less covert. And we're seeing, I understand now, there's more evil being deliberately broadcast through Disney as it's propagating abhorrent things, evil things.
[53:20] And so even that which might seem fairly mild and quaint and harmless, it has those messages in it. And the point I'm making here is to wise up, saints.
[53:35] Wise up. We're in Babylon. It's all around us. But we're told to come out. Come out. So what does that mean? Flee to Christ. Find godly fellowship.
[53:46] Be planted and grounded in the truth of God. And find your heart's desire in Christ. Find his refuge, the sure refuge from the judgment to come.
[53:58] The storm clouds are looming. But we have refuge in Christ today. Let us pray. Dear Lord, we lift up your worthy name, Lord Jesus, for who you are, for what you're doing, for your words, commands and comforts.
[54:16] Lord, we thank you that even in times of lack of hope, we can find the great hope. In times of great storm, we have the great refuge, the great shelter, the great safety of your everlasting arms under us and over us, holding us to yourself.
[54:34] Lord, we thank you. We pray, Lord, if there's any present that have yet to trust you, that they're trusting in the flimsy refuge of tradition, of religion, of works, of human effort, that they might see that that will fail them.
[54:51] That they might see their only refuge must be Christ. It must be Christ. we must let go of ourselves and our own works, our own doings, our own trying and trust instead, your work, finished and complete and surrender to you as Lord, as Saviour, as Master, that we might come under your Lordship, under your reign and rule, as King, as Lord forever.
[55:16] Lord, we pray each one might know the comfort of that to come into that sure peace in Christ. Lord, we pray that people might know what it is to find the penalties paid at the cross, sin forgiven because of your grace and mercy extended because of your great love with which you have loved us, Lord, and love us still.
[55:41] Help us, Lord, to walk in that truth. Help us, Lord, to be aware of the Babylonian culture that is all around us. we can't but help be engaged in it in some measure, Lord, yet keep us safe, keep us true, keep us faithful, Lord, until we see your face and you will vanquish the Antichrist and all his minions and we know we can look up because our redemption draws near.
[56:09] In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
