What is the World coming to?

[0:00] What's the world coming to? The Word of God tells us about a future event that lies just ahead really, the coming of Christ.! And there's an anticipation that we can have in the here and now, that great event, that world changing event of Christ coming back to earth.

[0:16] And even though the Bible shows us so much about this event, there's many warnings and a call to prepare for us. And yet it seems like the average churchgoer doesn't live as if the return of Christ is something they're expecting.

[0:34] That's a shame, isn't it? There are over 300 verses that tell us about the end times, the end of the world as we know it. And of course, for we that believe, the return of the Lord Jesus is going to be a glorious day, not something to fear.

[0:51] But in the lead up to it, we can expect some tough times ahead before the Lord takes God's people out of the final days. So let's look at some of the snapshots of what the Bible shows us as to what we can expect.

[1:07] Perilous times. We're going to take a review of some current events and relate those to some biblical themes. Global issues, you could say. What's the world coming to?

[1:18] So 2 Timothy 3 verse 1, it reads, This note also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. It's telling us that perilous times are coming.

[1:31] The Word of God tells us of times of sinful behaviour and godlessness. I put to you that these days that we're living in now are surely more and more so.

[1:42] Those turbulent times, those perilous times. And we can expect that to heighten as we draw closer. It reads on in 2 Timothy 3 verse 2. It says, Now some of the pictures I'm using to illustrate some of this message today might be a bit confronting.

[2:39] But these are the realities of the day that we're living in. And this month, they're calling it Pride Month. Pride Month. I read this recently.

[2:50] I read this recently. A reference on the Uniting Network, which is the Uniting Church LGBTIQ Plus Network. And they're contemplating, the Uniting Church are contemplating making an apology.

[3:07] An apology to the LGBTIQ Australians. Pride Month, they're calling it. And we see that what is gross.

[3:22] And the Bible calls abomination. Christians are kind of now considering it's not vice anymore. It's not abomination anymore. And we've got drag queens grooming children.

[3:36] Disney openly pushing these agendas. I put to you, these are perilous things. Perilous times are surely upon us. And there's talk of world war. World war.

[3:47] In recent news media, Russian state television now are talking openly of obliterating the United States. They reckon four nuclear missiles will do the job.

[4:00] Four nuclear missiles. And these missiles happen to be called Satan 2 missiles. That's the name of the missiles. Satan 2 nuclear missiles.

[4:11] And this recent report says that there's 50 of them, 50 extra of them being built right now. And these have got huge destructive power.

[4:24] And increasing technologies are making warfare ever more potentially destructive. Whole nations could be obliterated at the push of a button. There's an escalation of technologies now that could be used militarily for destruction.

[4:38] Things like robot armies, drones, weather weapons, bio weapons. Scientists are working on altering people's DNA.

[4:50] And there's talk of inserting microchips in brains. These are volatile times. More locally here in South Australia. One week after ending its two-year-long COVID state of emergency, our state premier has legislated now a climate emergency declaration.

[5:12] A climate emergency. They're saying that we are in an emergency. Now, when you hear the word emergency, it's calling for desperate action. It's akin to the alarmist idea of some that we must rally to save the planet.

[5:28] And there's radicals, activists that are putting a message out there. We've maybe only got three years before the end of the world or other such wild claims.

[5:41] Now, it's been said that fear itself can be used as a means of control. That's what happened back in history in previous world wars.

[5:51] And the people who want to control over us can often make use of what they call a crisis. Because when they use the word crisis or emergency, then they can implement more power, more legislation, more rules, more control.

[6:07] Here's a quote. Imagine two years ago, someone telling you that within a matter of months, your own government would issue federal mandates dictating when you could leave your house, where you could go, when and if you would be allowed to gather for worship, when you can breathe without a face covering, when and where you could travel, whether you could continue your business, whether you are allowed to keep your job.

[6:32] And demanding you could be injected by a government approved chemical whose manufacturers you cannot sue in case of adverse health effects and whose concepts and development could be sealed by federal courts for 55 years.

[6:47] What would you have said to such a person two years ago? It's a big question, isn't it, about some of the things that have been happening in the last couple of years.

[6:57] There's talk by significant world leaders of a great reset. Everything will be turned upside down. It impacts global relations, energy supply, food, nations' economies and the priorities of societies.

[7:14] It's basically a socialist framework shaping global agendas and global governance. And leaders across the world like to talk about depopulation now.

[7:25] So in other words, there's too many of us. Some of us have got to be got rid of. That's what it means, depopulation. And there's talk of abortion being legal after a baby is born.

[7:36] Some are even contemplating that. Every human, after all, is emitting this supposedly dangerous gas called carbon dioxide. There's too many of us.

[7:47] So this is the kind of talk that's going on. I'm not meaning to go off on a tangent here, but I'm trying to draw analogy and reference to current events and what the Bible tells us is going to happen.

[8:01] There's a lot of talk now to ending national sovereignty, a push for what they call global citizenship. Basically, it's communism. And there are signs that globalists are trying to control, to control the masses, to control the media, to control elections, to control government.

[8:21] And any so-called resistors are being treated as tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy theorists. Here's another recent story. It's just days ago how the state has taken two children away from their mother on the Gold Coast who smacked her child one time with a wooden spoon on the bottom.

[8:44] And this is news that is happening now. Now, this photo is actually of another woman in WA who had a similar kind of treatment, had a $750 fine for likewise smacking her child on the bottom with a wooden spoon.

[8:58] Now, of course, the Bible shows us there's clearly a place for needful family discipline. Of course, we would agree that child abuse is wrong.

[9:10] No question about that. We're not advocating that. But there is a rightful place for loving parental discipline of children. But some think now that the children belong to the state and they take the place of the parents.

[9:23] As a nation, I put to you that as a people, we've forgotten God. When such legislation is even contemplated, we're hurtling towards destruction. It's as if we have a new God now.

[9:36] And a subtle brainwashing is going on. I read a good quote lately that said, demonic activity is so evident now, you will either be brainwashed or bloodwashed. There's no middle ground.

[9:47] There's a brainwashing or we that trust Christ, we're washed in his blood. There's a big change there, isn't there? And so the Bible is filled with all of these global themes that we're just going to touch on and relate current events to what does the Bible say.

[10:04] And you can see that they fit together. There's some global themes. So we're going to touch on just a few of those things, those current events and themes that are clearly matching up with Bible prophecy.

[10:18] Now, the Bible foretells of a global deception. There's groups such as here we see Parliament of the World's Religions, all the religions getting together, as if they worship the same God.

[10:32] Of course, they do. If they're not Bible Christians, they worship the same God. And we know who he is. And we see the World Economic Forum, another gathering of the minds, a global deception.

[10:46] They're deceived together. And the Bible tells us about how the great dragon, speaking of Satan, was cast out. It says that old serpent called the devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world.

[11:01] He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. So it's saying here of a global deception. It says Satan deceives the whole world.

[11:12] Revelation 12, the time is coming when deception is going to happen on a grand global scale, worldwide deception. And this mind control will have everyone marching to the same tune.

[11:25] The Bible talks also of a strong delusion. People believing a lie. It's like there's a propaganda campaign of social engineering.

[11:36] A distorted worldview. Meantime, the censorship where discordant voices are silenced. We know that as a church, the time may come when our YouTube channel could be deleted.

[11:51] That's nearly 2,000 videos. Could be deleted. At the click of a YouTube administrator's mind. Could just delete all of those videos.

[12:01] So we've taken steps to save our videos so we can put them on another platform. If that might happen. Because churches preaching, Bible teaching is being gradually considered hate speech.

[12:18] And it's being deplatformed. It's like the thought police want to filter what we think or research. So you can't even search on Google without it being filtered.

[12:29] And they try to filter out what they call misinformation. But really it's a deception that is going on. And they're masquerading. It's masquerading as world health. Of course we want the world to be healthy.

[12:41] We want health. But sometimes it's engineered by big pharma. And those that really want to make money out of medications. Increasingly medicating people. So deception on a global scale.

[12:54] We know the Bible says it will happen. And Satan is the puppet master. I think of him as like the puppet master dangling all these various puppets of education.

[13:06] Of religion. Of media. Of you name it. He's got his hands on everything. And the Bible talks about how our Lord Jesus says.

[13:18] And this is in the context of his returning. It says Jesus said. Take heed. That no man deceive you. There's radical change agents out there.

[13:28] Foisting these things. Redefining even what a family is. Promoting all kinds of gender confusion. In the very young. These are sad times.

[13:39] When children are being brought up with this. They're schooled in it. And this talk of banning such reactionary words as mother and father.

[13:50] You know. They are considered words that we dare not speak the word mother or father lest we offend. The tiny minority that has some other world view.

[14:03] Or husband and wife. These are no no words now. Because they do not fit in the new paradigm. And this is the Australian National University considering this in the article here.

[14:15] So people are blindly accepting all this mad stuff. And they're saying that it's good for us. It's as if the world is under this hypnosis.

[14:26] This spell. And truly Satan has people well and truly spell bound. Deception abounds. And people love it so. The Bible tells how. See Timothy 4 verses 3 to 4.

[14:38] It says for the time will come. When they will not endure sound doctrine. But after their own lusts. Shall they heap to themselves. Teachers having itching ears.

[14:49] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth. And shall be turned unto fables. This global deception is happening in churches. Here's a church in America.

[14:59] Trinity Lutheran. Have a drag queen. Drag show. In the church. Church. That they're welcoming their congregation to go to. Now people want this.

[15:10] And I'm sorry that this is offensive in a way. Really. It's deeply offensive. People want this kind of inclusive church. Where there's a warm and fluffy message. Without challenge or a call to truth and godliness.

[15:23] Yet the Lord Jesus is definitely not inclusive in that way. The God of the Bible is very clear about what is good. What is evil. And there can be no blending of the two.

[15:34] Now that's not to make homosexuality any worse than any other sin. That we could think of. But it's just an example of the warped minds. That are even in church circles.

[15:46] And behind pulpits today. Global deception. Global deception is well and truly happening. This is in Australia. It's rife today. Consider Satan's lies.

[15:57] I'm quoting here. Murder of the unborn isn't really murder. It's healthcare. And reproductive freedom for women. A child isn't actually a child. But rather a clump of cells.

[16:08] An unwanted cyst or growth. And today killing an unborn human is not only legally allowed. It is funded, protected, promoted and gloriously celebrated worldwide.

[16:20] In 2015 the hashtag shout your abortion went viral. Inspiring parades and t-shirts and books. Especially created for those who proudly revel in having their babies butchered inside their own wombs.

[16:36] And homosexuality is love. Not an unnatural abomination they say. Inviting God's judgment as the Bible claims. I could read on. It's no longer is this concept a betrayal of biology.

[16:52] A perversion of morality. And a sabotage of civilization. It's law. You can legalize something. It doesn't make it moral. You can legalize something. It doesn't stop it from being immoral.

[17:03] As the Bible declares it to be. When Obama was in office they lit up the White House in the colours of the gay flag. And gender is now fluid. You've got men being pregnant now.

[17:15] So called men being pregnant. Of course we know they're really women. But now this is the madness that is around us today isn't it? And I'm sorry to project this to you today.

[17:26] But this is the truth. I'm declaring the truth. This is what the world is saying is true now. That a man can be pregnant. Of course we know it's not a man.

[17:37] And it's just deception. It's global deception. Another global phenomenon is global crises. The Bible talks about how there shall be pestilences.

[17:50] We see Matthew 24. Our Lord talking of the end of the world in that context. He says Matthew 24 verse 7. For nation shall rise against nation. And kingdom against kingdom.

[18:01] And there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places. So what are we seeing today? Pestilences. Poxes. Pandemics.

[18:13] We've just about got through this global health crisis called COVID-19. Now they're telling us get ready for the next one. The next pandemic. There's outbreaks of war that threaten to become a worldwide conflict.

[18:27] 50% of all research scientists are involved in arms development. You wonder who's pulling the strings. The puppet master. Satan. The Bible tells of famines.

[18:40] A coming food crisis. What's the latest on our front pages? A coming food crisis. There's much talk lately of food shortages. As disrupted global supply chains and rising costs are causing a manufactured crisis.

[18:57] And even more than that, what they're calling food now is not always real. You can buy it down at the McDonald's or Hungry Jack's now. There's this move to fake meat.

[19:08] Fake meat. For example. They want you to be eating synthetic manufactured fake food. This is unreal. And then there's the oil crisis.

[19:20] Soaring costs are hitting everything we buy. For all of us. Seems like we're going from one crisis to another. Global crises. Now the Bible tells us about a fearful time where people are overwhelmed with what is going on.

[19:35] It sounds a bit like today. I'm not saying we're there yet. But I'm just saying we're in the staging of what will be. Link 21, it talks about men's hearts failing them for fear.

[19:50] There's a lot of fear, isn't there? A lot of fear-mongering. As the media jumps from one issue to the next. It's like there's one hot issue and then they change. There's another hot issue. Generating more and more fear and chaos.

[20:04] And once the situation in the world becomes severe enough, that's when people will be willing to give up freedoms and liberties. Because people want order out of chaos.

[20:16] That's the plan. Order out of chaos. And it all sets the scene for tyranny. Here's another theme. Global tyranny. Global government. This global power.

[20:28] Global authority. We can expect this will happen as we approach the end time. The Bible foretells of the Antichrist. He's going to have this global influence and power.

[20:39] Revelation 13. Of course we're not there yet. What I'm painting a picture of here today is it's a lead up to what we can expect. Revelation 13.

[20:50] 7. Was given unto him, the Antichrist, to make war with the saints, to overcome them. And power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations.

[21:01] Now the word power here speaks of authority. He was given authority or influence over all peoples. Over all languages.

[21:11] It's interesting that technologies now are making cross-cultural communication much easier. Between language groups. They've got gadgets now that you can have a conversation with someone whose language you don't know.

[21:26] They don't know yours. There's far-reaching power and authority structures bringing nations together. Uniting them in common causes. And they all sound good causes, really.

[21:38] It all sounds plausible. Because it's made believable. The Bible tells how ultimately there's going to be ten kings or nation powers who will support the end-time beast.

[21:51] In Revelation 17. In Revelation 13 it says, These have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. So again, the power, the authority, they're going to give it to the beast.

[22:04] I put to you there's a ramping up of systems that unite nations and powers today. More and more treaties that we're signing. Our Prime Minister signing treaties.

[22:15] Giving away rights and authority to this world entity. There's more and more international agreements.

[22:28] Things that we probably don't even know that we're part of now. And this moves to a world court. A global tax and a global police force. And these aren't the Bobby marching the beat.

[22:40] These are militarised police. Wearing body armour with submachine guns. A global police force. This is what's coming. And it's interesting to see the joining of forces together under NATO.

[22:54] To intervene militarily. They're all colluding and coming together. In a common cause. Of course we know the significance of Russia in the end times. But all of these current events are setting the stage for the final days.

[23:10] And then on the education front. Our children are being conditioned. Feeding their minds. As it were. With all these perverse ideas.

[23:21] Of gender fluidity. And you name it. Whatever the latest perversion is. When the ultimate beast comes to power. We can imagine the kind of controls.

[23:32] That he will exert over populations. There's clear trends to these mass surveillance systems. That can keep whole populations under watch.

[23:44] By a big brother type government. The general media is telling us about this. And it's all fitting with the picture that the Bible gives to us.

[23:56] Of the end time scenario. Another aspect as we approach the end times. Is global economic controls. The significant control being exerted by just a few dominant monopolies.

[24:08] There's pictures you can see of how many corporations. Maybe 10, 20. That dominate the whole market. And they're exerting a tremendous economic power.

[24:20] The world's wealth is concentrated in these multinational monopoly companies. The Bible tells about a time that people are going to be marked.

[24:30] Like livestock. You know they apply the branding to the livestock don't they? In Revelation 13, 16, 17 it says.

[24:41] Of the beast. The antichrist it says. He causes us all both small and great. Rich and poor. Free and bond. To receive a mark in their right hand. Or in their forehead. And that no man might buy or sell.

[24:53] Say he that has the mark. Or the name of the beast. Or the number of his name. So the Bible foretells a time when this world dictator is going to dominate such that the economy is going to be subject to worship of him.

[25:12] We're seeing in our time increasing moves towards a cashless society. It's like cash is almost obsolete now isn't it? It's possible that one day every transaction is going to be controlled and monitored by a surveillance state type of government.

[25:29] You can see it all fitting with this picture that the Bible gives to us. The global economy. It's in tatters now. After all the COVID destruction.

[25:39] It's increasingly tested. There's much talk of recession. They're telling us that interest rates are going to skyrocket. Many countries have exorbitant debt levels now.

[25:51] That they'll be burdened with for many years to come. If ever they get out of debt. What's the world coming to? It's a good question isn't it? What are we going to do about it?

[26:03] We should confront what is destructive in our culture. We are the people of God. We should be willing to stand against the tide.

[26:13] We must beware lest we fall prey to all of these global pressures. These subtle pressures to godlessness. Rather to be a righteous people.

[26:26] Proverbs 14.34 talks about how righteousness exalted the nation. But sin is a reproach to any people. There's a core for us. So you and me who love the Lord.

[26:37] Who know the truth. Who believe the Bible to be the modern day non-conformists. You look back through church history. Through world history.

[26:48] There were those who were the non-conformists. They didn't go along with the establishment. They were dissenters. Join the protest. Be considered Protestants as it were.

[27:00] There's a protest there. We're saying no. We're saying we don't go along. We don't buy it. We are the ultimate persecuted minority group.

[27:11] That is historic Christianity. It always has been. This is the norm for Christians. For Bible Christians. I put to you that I can see another thing coming. Global persecution.

[27:23] We're told by our Lord. Be not troubled. But be ready. Be ready. Prepare. It tells us Mark 13. Verse 9. Again of that context.

[27:34] As we ramp up to that time. God helping us will be gone before the worst of it. But nevertheless. He says take heed. To yourselves.

[27:44] For they shall. Deliver you up to councils. And in the synagogues you shall be beaten. And you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake. For a testimony against them.

[27:55] Friends. Christianity is definitely under attack. There's a growing anti-Christian sentiment within our culture. Christians are increasingly painted as not fitting.

[28:09] Not sane. Christians are painted as nuts. And there's this sentiment that's against those who are dead to say.

[28:20] Actually we believe the Bible. And we want to stand for Christ. Right now there's 340 million Christians living under persecution.

[28:31] High levels of persecution and discrimination. 340 million. I don't think we're in that number in Australia. Not yet.

[28:42] People holding Christian values are increasingly attacked in the workplace. You know I've experienced it. And humanism. Ungodly philosophies are commonly taught in schools and universities.

[28:56] And I was talking with someone lately. There's this implicit constant stream of lies. Biblical truth is meantime mocked and scorned.

[29:10] Friends. Persecution. Global persecution is coming. Whatever difficulties though yet we may face. We can trust God's plan. Because we're in his keeping. In the context of all these warnings.

[29:23] Our Lord says be not troubled. Be not troubled. So friends. As much as I'm painting a pretty woeful picture just now. Be not troubled. Be not troubled.

[29:34] We've got comfort. We've got hope. We've got assurance. We've got help. Another global feature is a global falling away. A falling away.

[29:46] There's an audience here in front of a preacher as it were saying don't talk about hell. That will make me feel uncomfortable. Don't call it sin. Call it bad choices. You know have you got programs for our kids?

[29:59] What can Jesus do for me? Only give me good news. Just preach something that will bless me. That's what people want. That's what churches are feeding.

[30:11] That's what the feel good preachers are giving you. And it's an emptiness. It's a falling away.

[30:22] A falling away. And talking about the day of Christ. Paul writes of such. He says in 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 3. Let no man deceive you by any means. For that day shall not come.

[30:33] The coming of the Lord. Except there come a falling away first. And that man of sin be revealed. The son of perdition. A falling away. It means apostasy.

[30:45] That's what it means. People try to say it means something else. I believe it means exactly what the King James says it is. A falling away. There's a false church. It's apostasy.

[30:56] Apostasian. A false church that is astray from the Bible. See churches becoming ever more woke. And unbiblical. People accepting of worldly so-called values.

[31:07] Rather than what the Bible actually teaches. And there's scarcely a gospel evident in churches. Churches are more and more biblically illiterate. And worldly thinking.

[31:18] So falling away. Ultimately there's going to be a global false worship. Here's a picture of a crowd in New York City. It's in the context of climate change and such things.

[31:32] And really it's nature worship. They're bowing down and worshipping some image of some animistic god. So-called god. Some worship of nature.

[31:43] And that's really what the Green Movement is ultimately doing. It's worship of the creature rather than the creator. It's ultimately a false worship. And Revelation 13.8 talks about such a false worship.

[31:57] Of the end days. It says of the world. All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him. The Antichrist. All the world is going to worship this Antichrist.

[32:10] Whose names are not written in the book of life. Of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The time is coming when there's going to be a global false worship. Look at the churches of Australia.

[32:23] Increasingly morally bankrupt. We saw some pictures there. They're flying pride flags on churches in Adelaide. The churches are often weak and conforming to worldly culture.

[32:35] There's a syncretism. A tolerance. We know we have absolute truth that cannot be blended with error. And that's not to put ourselves on some pedestal.

[32:45] We love the truth such that we will declare it. And we'll be defined by the truth. There was a time in the word of God in King Josiah's day. Where he was one who stood against the idolatry of his day.

[32:59] As this new king. Just a child. In 2 Kings 23.4. It says how the priests have set up idols. To false gods within the temple. And King Josiah took action and got rid of the false worship.

[33:13] That's the kind of backbone we need today. That's the kind of courage that's called for today in these perilous times. To throw out the idols. And of course as Jesse referred to idols.

[33:25] These are idols of all kinds. These are not necessarily idols of wood or stone or steel. But there's the idol worship that's going on. Where the world's idols are being brought into the holy place.

[33:38] And all of these false philosophies and ideas. And really it's kinds of worship. We're seeing that today. We have need of courage. And at the heart of all this corruption. In the church.

[33:50] Is a spirit. This is a spiritual thing. Now the spirit speaketh expressly. 1 Timothy 4 verse 1. That in the latter times some shall depart from the faith.

[34:01] Giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Friends this is the devil's work. He can't beat the church so he's joined it. And he's attacking the church from within.

[34:13] This is what's going on. And so we all need to be very mindful. Friends when you tune into TV preachers. Or you get internet messaging from all manner of sources.

[34:25] Be discerning. Be selective. Be careful. Because the seducing spirits. That's working behind the scenes. And even within the church.

[34:36] And the Bible urges God's people to wake up. And to be alert to such things. Again in the context of the latter times. To be more and more mindful of seducing spirits.

[34:47] So spirits that will draw us away. Mislead us and con us. And steer us into sin. The Bible urges God's people to come out.

[34:58] Of that which is wrong. Of Babylon. And its evil influence. It's talking about that kind of spirit. This is a spirit. That kind of way of anti-God thinking.

[35:09] Of our world. And we're all getting it. We're barraged with messaging from media. Of all kinds. We're constantly receiving messaging. Of these seducing spirits.

[35:20] In the systems of thought. And education. Across all aspects of society. And our children. God help them. If they're in a secular school.

[35:31] They're even more at risk. Of these messagings. And we need to be guarding. Ourselves and our families. Revelation 18.4 talks about.

[35:42] Come out of her my people. That you be not partakers of our sins. And that you receive not. Of her plagues. So Babylon. Is impacting our world.

[35:54] Babylon is a kind of. Catch all. An emblem. Of God's enemy. It's that. Perversion of truth. We must separate ourselves.

[36:05] From Babylon. In other words. It's that God hating system. Of our world. We must rise up. And stand for Christ. We see a time. And I put it to you. It's this time.

[36:15] That the church has compromised. There's often a false gospel. And a weakened message. Even those that are attempting. To deliver the gospel. It's lacking. It's tainted.

[36:26] It's missing. Some vital truth. Or it's adding something. Of works. We don't follow the God of this world. And his lies. And we need to stand firm.

[36:37] And strong. As a God fearing people. Holding fast the unadulterated gospel. Not holding back. From being an uncompromising witness. These days are too close to his coming.

[36:50] For us to be anything less. Than sold out. These days are ever more perilous. Perilous. And we've got great need of biblical resolve.

[37:02] And discernment. And since we're still here. We still have time. To get right with God. You might think. Well. I'm not ready. Prayerfully get ready.

[37:13] Prayerfully get ready. This is not to condemn. Or to. Load you with something. That is heavy. But to lift you. To a greater level.

[37:24] Of faith. Of trust. Trust. Our Lord says. The end of all things. Is at hand. It's out the doors. It's.

[37:37] Urgent. That we take. Some action. It says. Be ye therefore sober. And watch unto prayer. Prepare your heart. These are sobering times.

[37:48] Sobering times. We should be fully sober. Fully sober. And live in the light. Of his coming. It's good to have that sense of urgency.

[37:59] Because eternity. Really. It's only a short time away. Isn't it? In the scheme of things. It's. Momentarily. We'll be there. With him. No matter whether he comes today.

[38:11] Or a hundred years from now. We should live. Soberly. Righteously. And godly. We're called to godly living. In an unholy age. Don't conform. To this world.

[38:23] Be transformed. Be transformed. We've got reason for hope. Reason for joy. The best thing globally. That we can expect. Is that we're getting ever closer.

[38:35] To that glorious appearing. That's one global thing. I'm absolutely glad about. Aren't you? There's a global event coming. That we can be glad about. And it's the coming of our Lord.

[38:47] It says. Paul writes to Titus. For the grace of God. That bringeth salvation. Have appeared to all men. Teaching us that. Denying. Ungodliness. And worldly lusts.

[38:58] We should live. Soberly. Righteously. And godly. In this present world. Looking for. That. Blessed hope. And the glorious appearing.

[39:09] Of our great God. And our saviour. Jesus Christ. Who gave himself for us. That he might redeem us. From all iniquity.

[39:20] And purify unto himself. A peculiar people. Zealous. Of good works. So don't let this world. Dampen your zeal. Do the biblical thing.

[39:32] And be zealous. Don't be. Lacking in zeal. Be. Refreshed in your zeal. Zealous of good works. Even if the world calls you peculiar. And you're rightfully peculiar.

[39:44] If you belong to him. You're specially his. That's the peculiar. The sense of peculiar. Is that. You're valued. You're precious. You're special.

[39:54] Unto him. And so ultimately. The global reign of Christ. Is coming. That's the ultimate global. Change that we can. Anticipate. With. Joy.

[40:06] And hope. It says. Matthew 25. 31. Our Lord says. The son of man. It says. He shall come. In his glory. And all the holy angels with him.

[40:17] Then he shall sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations. It's going to be global. This is global. There's no. No one's getting out of this. Before him shall be gathered all nations.

[40:29] Friends. We can look forward to. The coming. Of our Lord. And the whole world's going to see him. Those that have crucified him. Those that have pierced him. Will see him. No one's going to not see him.

[40:40] Everyone's going to see him. This is going to be global. And his reign is going to be global. Because he's the king of kings. And he's the Lord of lords. Friends. The end. Is coming. You'll be glad to know this is the end of the sermon.

[40:53] But. The end of the world is coming. Amen. The end of the world as we know it. We should get ready. Shouldn't we? People. Shouldn't we? Get ready. I pray that I've not. Burdened you with too much misery.

[41:05] This morning. But. In all of the trouble. We should not be troubled. Even though this world is troubled. He says. Be not troubled. Be not troubled. Friends. We've got hope. We've got the blessed hope.

[41:16] We've got the glorious appearing. And we're looking for that. The glorious appearing. And you can prepare your hearts. These are sobering times. But we can have hope. The blessed hope. In other words.

[41:27] It's a joyful hope. It's a certain hope. It's a glad hope. That you that know Christ. You know that your saviour is coming. He'll right all the wrongs. He'll regain his rightful rule.

[41:37] Over this planet. And take rightful authority. Unto himself. Let us pray. Lord we thank you that we can. Know.

[41:49] Maranatha. Our Lord cometh. Lord we know that. These days are. Troubled. Perilous. Turbulent. We see. The pride of man.

[42:01] In perversion. We see. The abomination. Of the world. The wickedness. That prevails. Even. In some quarters.

[42:12] In the church. What is. Or should be. Your church. Yet we see. It's definitely not. We see the seducing spirits. We see the work of the evil one. Manifest.

[42:23] In these global. Pandemics. Global. Perversions. Lord these. Global controls.

[42:35] The global. Worship. That will ultimately be given. To the. One least worthy of worship. And yet. Man in this day. Will not worship the true God. But we pray that our eyes would be open.

[42:48] That we'd be a sober minded people. That we live soberly. Righteously. And godly. In this present world. Looking for that blessed hope. And the glorious appearing. Of the great God and our saviour.

[42:59] Jesus Christ. We thank you for these things. We pray. Each one might be comforted. With that blessed hope. That they know that they're saved. They know that heaven's their home. Because they've trusted you. As their saviour and lord.

[43:12] And lord. Refresh that love. If it's grown dim. Help us to. Regain that zeal. That you want us to have. That we'll be a ready people. Prepared. Unto every good work.
