What it means to live as God’s family—brothers and sisters united in Christ?
God desires a strong church. At the heart of that strength lies brotherly fellowship, a bond that reflects His love, grace, and purpose. Join us as we explore three key pillars of true Christian fellowship: brotherly unity, brotherly love, and brotherly kindness.
This sermon unpacks how we can live these out practically in our daily lives, fostering a church that’s good, pleasant, and blessed—just as Psalm 133 declares: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
What You’ll Discover in This Sermon
We break down the biblical blueprint for a thriving church family: Brotherly Unity: The foundation of fellowship. Unity isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a spiritual reality God creates by His Spirit. It is “one body and one Spirit”. Our unity in Christ, doctrine, and purpose binds us together. Satan hates this unity and sows discord, but we’re called to guard it with humility and grace.
Brotherly Love: The heartbeat of the church. Hebrews 13:1 urges, “Let brotherly love continue". Our Lord commands, John 13:34, “love one another as I have loved you.” This sacrificial, forgiving love—modeled by Christ—builds us up, not tears us down. Think of Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love; that’s the church God wants us to be!
Brotherly Kindness: Love in action. Peter tells us to “add to godliness brotherly kindness” (2 Peter 1:7). It’s the practical, tender expression of God’s grace—helping the weak, bearing burdens (Galatians 6:2), and speaking words seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6). Small acts of kindness reflect Christ and strengthen our fellowship.
Why This Matters
God shows us how to know true brotherly fellowship because it’s close to His heart. A united, loving, kind church isn’t just a blessing to us—it’s a witness to the world. The early church of Acts was “of one heart and one soul”. The world saw Christ in them. But Satan tries to divide us with murmuring, gossip, pride, and contention. This sermon exposes his tactics and equips you with tools to stand firm: humility to protect unity, sacrifice to show love, and grace to offer kindness.

[0:00] We're going to go to the Word of God now. And the theme of God's creation, God created in the beginning.
[0:11] ! It's the truth of creation versus the deception of evolution. So we're going to unpack a little of that too as we go. So it's a little mix between a sermon and a lecture of sorts, but trying to just counter the falsehood of evolution with the truth of creation.
[0:32] And really the big question of life is, where did we come from? Genesis 1 verse 1 answers that. It stands as a bold declaration.
[0:47] In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. People question about the origins of life of the universe.
[0:59] Why are we here? How did we get here? And it's more than an academic debate. It's actually a fundamental question of life, isn't it? At the heart of this question is our worldview, our faith, our purpose.
[1:11] And this tells us so much. This one verse. It's really the foundation, isn't it? If God did not create us, then mankind has really no hope of a purposeful existence.
[1:29] It's all emptiness. It's all emptiness and really random chance and no real substance, no real foundation.
[1:41] God says, in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. For over a century, the theory of evolution has sought to deny this truth.
[1:52] And some would rather replace that certainty of the deliberate hand of a creator with some fluke of chance, of chaos, of time. Evolution's theory rests on fragile assumptions.
[2:08] When you actually take a closer look, the whole idea falls apart. God created. This is the biblical account.
[2:19] The Bible message. God's creation. This is a truth that fits with reason and with science. And the deepest longings of the human soul. God created.
[2:31] And people with an honest mind, with open hearts, with discerning minds, have found this surely is. The compelling truth. God created. Consider then the biblical account of creation.
[2:46] We're only just going to scratch the surface of some of that. But Genesis 1 verse 1. This is the foundational truth. In the beginning, God. Think of God, the supreme creator.
[3:00] And the word created, it's an act of absolute origination. Created. Something only God can do. Only God can create.
[3:13] And this is not some mere rearrangement of pre-existing matter. Out of nothing, God created. Everything. God created.
[3:25] He summoned everything to be. And this truth is declared again and again through the word of God. For example, John 1 verse 3. Telling us of the word, Christ.
[3:36] All things were made by him. And without him was not anything made that was made. I love the King James. Made by him.
[3:47] Some versions downplay that and say made through him. No, no. It's not some intermediary. Made by him. By his hand. Christ made everything.
[3:58] Without him was not anything made. That was made. Our Lord fashioned the universe. It is of his own making. Hebrews 11 verse 3. Likewise, through faith we understand.
[4:09] That the worlds were framed by the word of God. So that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. It says the worlds were framed by the word of God.
[4:20] Framed. Tells of a master craftsman. Perfecting his work. Of his construction. He's fashioned the worlds. With precision. With intent. As a craftsman would fashion something.
[4:32] Now cosmologists talk about the Big Bang Theory. The idea that in a singular moment. Time, space and matter erupted into existence. The Bible tells us.
[4:45] God spoke. And it was so. God said. Let there be light. Etc. Consider the design. The order.
[4:56] And the purpose of creation. Look at Genesis 1. And then further. As it reveals God's creation. It's kind of this unfolding. Over these six days. The light.
[5:07] The sky. The land. The seas. The plants. The animals. And finally humanity. It's got this order through those six days of creation. It wasn't some random process.
[5:20] It was a symphony of purpose. One after the other. Each day. Something new. He made. God created. Day after day.
[5:31] Culminating in mankind. Uniquely fashioned. After God's own image. We see Genesis 1. 26. And God said. Let us. The Trinity.
[5:41] The triune Godhead. Father. Son. And Holy Spirit. Said. Let us. Make man in our image. After our likeness. And let them have dominion. Over the fish of the sea.
[5:53] Over the fowl of the air. Over the cattle. And over all the earth. And over every creeping thing. That creepeth upon the earth. Let them have dominion. Make man.
[6:07] After our image. After our likeness. The image it pictures like really a reflection of God's character. Of reason. Of creativity.
[6:19] Of morality. Setting us. Mankind. Humankind. Apart from beasts. Whereas. These days. You've got some people telling us.
[6:31] Well. All creatures. Are just equal. No. Man. Has got. A place of dominion. We're over. The creatures. We're over.
[6:44] The animals. We're not animal kind. We're mankind. Humankind. And. There's something special. Because why? We're made in. God's image.
[6:54] With his. Special character. Kind of reflected. Ideally in. Us. Apart from the beasts.
[7:06] And David looked upwards. And he cries out. In wonderment. He says the heavens declare the glory of God. And the firmament. In other words. The skies. It showeth his handiwork.
[7:18] It's. Plain to see. And we know. If we were. To go out. At night time. And. If you had a good spot. Where there's not too much. Interference from.
[7:29] Human light. You see the stars. The starry heavens. The heavens declare the glory. Of our God. Don't they? David tells this resounding. Proclamation. That even the heavens.
[7:40] Are shouting out. The glory of our God. Of his greatness. And modern astronomy. Reveals a universe. That's fine-tuned. For life. The gravitational.
[7:51] Constant. The earth's precise distance. From the sun. All of these things. It's all balanced. On this. Perfect. Balance. It shouts out.
[8:04] Design. Everywhere we look. Random chance. Cannot account for this. But design can. Design can. If you might happen to wear a watch.
[8:15] You know. I had a watchmaker. And you look at the. Handiwork. Of our God. In the skies. Even the skies. Let alone everything else.
[8:26] That shows his handiwork. Doesn't it? Of his creative power. Consider the alternative now. To creation. God created. Others would say no.
[8:36] God did not create. Create. They would. Trust in the. Floors of evolution. A house built. On sand. Now first to note.
[8:47] There are in fact. Two types of evolution. So you've got a column here. And a column there. So. On the left there. You see. Macro evolution.
[8:57] That's what. Darwin. Teaches. And the theory of evolution. Macro evolution. Then on the. Right hand side. You have. Micro evolution.
[9:09] Micro evolution. Of course. We see. Micro evolution. All the time. As pictured here. Of the. The dogs. That are bred. And you've got multiple.
[9:20] Breeds of dogs. Of all kinds. Ultimately. They can be traced back. To the dog kind. Basically. It's all been. Made by.
[9:32] Man's breeding. These multiple. Types of dogs. But they're still. Of the dog kind. That's what's called. Micro evolution. And we see that all the time.
[9:43] In living organisms. It's just a shuffling of. Current genetic information. To adapt to. Changing environment conditions. For example. The cane toad.
[9:54] Of Australia. A study. Over a span. Of 70 years. Found that. Toads with longer legs. Tend to survive. Because they can. Run and leap.
[10:04] Farther than. The others. Thereby. Avoiding. Becoming. Some animals. Lunch. And so. The ones. With the. Longer legs. Naturally.
[10:16] Started to. Survive. More than. The shorter. Legged. Toads. And all of the. Toads. Had within them. This genetic. Structure. To develop. Longer legs. But whenever.
[10:27] The occasional. Toad. Would be born. With the longer leg. Gene. He would have. An advantage. Ocean. Has evolved. Micro evolved. Longer legs. We not have.
[10:38] A problem with that. As a Christian. We know that. Micro evolution. Happens all the time. And that is. Really. Just. Within. Species. Some adaption.
[10:49] Happens. Over time. But on the side here. On the Darwin side. The macro evolution. What Darwin claimed. It never happens. There are no.
[11:01] Examples. Of observed. Macro evolution. There just aren't any. So if you go to the. Fossils. And you have a look. There's really this lack of. Transitional fossils. Now this is how the evolutionists.
[11:13] Would picture it. Of a man. Somehow evolving. From. From the. Apes. To become a man. Through various transitions. And evolution.
[11:24] Supposes that. Life transitions. From. Simple organisms. To complex forms. Over millions of years. Such that there's a. Half fish. And a. Half reptile. A half ape.
[11:35] A half man. If all life forms. Have evolved from. Simpler forms. There should be. Millions. Really billions. Of transitional fossils. To see. Showing the process.
[11:46] Of one species. Evolving into another. But paleontologists. That have unearthed. Billions of fossils. Have yet to find. One. Missing link. Missing link.
[11:57] They remain missing. There's none of these. In the middle. They find the humans. And they find. The apes. But there's nothing. In the middle. What do we find. When we look at the fossil record.
[12:08] We find distinct. Kinds fully formed. In fact. Someone has made the point. Well. If there was this. Kind of evolution. Of the species. What's even more. Is they not only have to have.
[12:19] As pictured here. Just all males. Of course. They had to have. The female counterpart. So they would have had to have. A female. To accompany. Each of those different stages.
[12:30] Over time. Developing exactly. Simultaneously. They're the same. Genetic advancements. Along with the male. So it's even more. Ridiculous. That there's no such thing.
[12:41] In the record. That there would. Have to be. The counterpart. Of the male and female. Of all those species. And the kind of. Missing link species. Such.
[12:52] To. End up. With. Humans. As of today. If evolution were true. Which it is absolutely. Clearly. Not true. We see. When we look at the. Fossil record.
[13:02] There's distinct. Kinds. And they're fully formed. This is exactly. What the Bible says. It's the biblical model. We see in Genesis 1 verse 24. And God said.
[13:12] Let the earth bring forth. The living creature. After his kind. Cattle and creeping thing. And beast of the earth. After his kind. And it was so. Man brought forth.
[13:23] After his kind. Cattle brought forth. After his kind. Beast brought forth. After his kind. Creeping thing. Brought forth. After his kind. There's no so called. Transitional fossils.
[13:34] There are no. Transitional fossils. And this is. Very clear. And people. That are honest. About it. Could see that. Very plainly. That there are no.
[13:44] Transitional fossils. They've never been found. We do find. A sudden burst. Of diverse life forms. In the fossil record. They call it. The Cambrian explosion. It looks more like.
[13:55] A purposeful act. Of creation. Not gradualism. As pictured before. The fossil record. Is actually an evidence. Of the biblical account.
[14:06] Of creation. And of the flood. The idea of millions of years. Came from the 18th. 19th century. Geologists. They assumed a slow. And gradual. Sedimentary. Layer formation.
[14:17] But what do we see. In the fossil record. Here's a picture. Someone has drawn. Of a finding. And they call it. Polystrate fossils. So. It's trees.
[14:28] That are fossilized. Through multiple. Layers. So you see here. The multiple layers. And you see. There's a fossil. Of a tree. Standing upright. This challenges.
[14:39] The evolution. For you. Because trees. Will rot. Once they're. Buried. You know. Certainly. Over millions. Of years. There's no way. That this could be true. That evolution.
[14:51] Could explain this. But a global flood. Explains it. Because. Because. That would. Be. Rather. A rapid. Burial. And fossilization. So.
[15:02] Layers and layers. Of sediment. Rapidly forming. While the tree. Was still. Standing upright. What we see. In the layers. Of the earth's crust. Is better explained. By a global flood.
[15:12] Catastrophe. Not some. Millions. Of billions. Of years. Of slow. Steady deposits. It actually makes more sense. To believe. In the biblical account. Of creation. And of the worldwide flood.
[15:24] Actually correlates. And studies have found. There was. An eruption. Of a place called. Mount St. Helens. And. Multiple layers of sediment. Were really quickly built up.
[15:35] It just took. Really. Just some minutes. Of time. Rather than. Thousands. Billions. Of years. There's actually no. Reason. To.
[15:45] At all. To doubt. The biblical record. Of creation. And of Noah's. Worldwide flood. So let's think about evolution. If we could just sort of have a look. And see. Why we would.
[15:56] Understand. That evolution. Is a faulty. False idea. Consider the. Complexity. Of life. Let's imagine. That you're going hiking. You're going. Walking through the woods.
[16:07] It's a very secluded area. And as you're walking down this pathway. You see these three. Sticks on the ground. And they're formed like an arrow. And you see this as something unusual.
[16:19] As you get up close to it. These three sticks. What goes through your mind? How did those sticks get there? How did they appear like that? It would appear that some intelligent being.
[16:30] Arranged the sticks. And exactly that pattern. With some specific purpose. In mind. The intention of an intelligent being. Is to send a message. Which has meaning.
[16:41] And possibly value. To an observer. So imagine. You see this. And you think. Well. Looks like someone's done that. Then imagine walking along further. With your friend. Down the road.
[16:52] In the pathway. Through the woods. And. A little later. You come across a. Similar. Arrangement. With now. Four sticks.
[17:04] Four sticks. And then a little further. Another arrangement. Of. Five sticks. Six. And later. You find. And it goes on and on. Maybe a hundred sticks.
[17:14] With this kind of arrow. Designation. And every time. You come to see. These new sets of. Sticks. Your friend denies that. Oh. That no intelligent being.
[17:25] Could possibly. Have left this trail. I mean. Neither of you. Have seen an intelligent being. Anywhere around. But what. Do you do. Do you laugh. At the foolishness.
[17:36] Of your friend. Or do you cry for him. Because he's so lost. From his senses. For some reason. Three sticks. What about. Three billion sticks.
[17:47] All lined up. And organized. That's DNA. It's three billion sticks. Clearly. Evidence. Of design. There must be.
[17:59] A God. We see. DNA. Is much more complicated. Than three sticks. On the ground. And here's another. Ordered pattern. That I love.
[18:09] But it's not sticks. It's rocks. It's rocks. And we see the design. Of the rocks. Don't we. Those swirling rocks. Around us. The solar system.
[18:20] Let alone. Everything beyond. You get the point. That there is design. Design. And three sticks. On the ground. Are enough.
[18:31] To know. Someone's deliberately. Done that. Made that. Had made that happen. What about. All the signs. And wonders. Of. Creation. Of the complexity.
[18:44] Of. Our world. It shows that evolutionary claims. Are false. DNA. It's the blueprint. Of every organism. It's the language.
[18:54] Of staggering complexity. Billions of. Base pairs. Encoding. Instructions. For proteins. For cells. And systems. There's no way. That DNA.
[19:05] Can form. By chance. God. Created. Every living thing. From simple bacteria. To people. Possessed DNA.
[19:16] Of course. Back in Darwin's day. They didn't know. About such things. But DNA. It's. Got this library. Of. Precise information. And without which. Life is. Impossible.
[19:27] Even the simplest. Single. Celled. Organism. Is. Unthinkably. Complex. With scores. Of. Highly. Sophisticated. Parts.
[19:38] All performing. Important functions. And all mutually. Interdependent. Think of your. Car out in the car park. You're. You're so much more complicated. Than even that.
[19:50] And evolution though. Would claim that somehow. The little. Random. Mutations. That happen. Are supposedly the engine. For evolutionary. Progress. So when a.
[20:02] Mutation happens. Something happens. With the DNA. They suppose that. It's adding new. Genetic information. Over time. To transform. Simple organisms.
[20:13] Into complex ones. But random mutations. Degrade. Information. They do not create it. Mutations lead to. Loss. Not gain. So it's a totally.
[20:24] Implausible. Theory. Theory. Mutations. Degrade. Existing information. Rather than create. Functional structures. And we know.
[20:35] Through decades of experiments. With fruit flies. For example. They've subjected. Fruit flies. To radiation. And chemicals. Over countless. Generations. Equivalent to millions.
[20:45] Of years. In human terms. Of what could have happened. Over time. And despite. All these experiments. Of radiation. Of chemicals. They've only produced. Variations.
[20:57] Of fruit flies. Often deformed. Not new species. With enhanced capabilities. There's no new. Genetic information. So this idea.
[21:07] Of mutations. Being somehow. An engine. For. Evolutionary progress. Is. Totally flawed. Evolution. Requires a mechanism.
[21:18] To build complexity. Like eyes. Or wings. From scratch. But mutations. Only demonstrate. Decay. Not the creative power. That evolution demands.
[21:29] They do not construct. Anything new. Life only. Arises from life. And this is the law. Of. Biogenesis. So. It means. Only. Life.
[21:40] Can only come from life. It cannot come. From non-life. Consider. If you will. Just one cell. Just one cell. One. The first living cell.
[21:52] Consider the odds. The probability. Of. Such a cell. Forming by chance. A single. Functional protein. Is one. In. Ten to the power. Of.
[22:03] 164. A number so fast. It exceeds the atoms. In. The observable. Universe. It's totally implausible. Even one cell. Could. Come about.
[22:13] Think about the origin of life. In the very first living cell. And. Of course. Nowadays. They've got. Such high powered. Microscopes. And such. Technical. Research.
[22:25] Into cell biology. That they know. That even a single. Tiny. Little cell. You know. You couldn't even. See it with your. Eye. Is like this busy.
[22:36] Little city. It's got all these things. Swirling around. It's much more complicated. Than. Your motor vehicle. And even if you had. All the chemicals necessary.
[22:46] For life. In one place. Of all the universe. That they all happen to be. In one place. Like a swamp. Or an ocean. That then they have to get. Organized.
[22:57] And form some kind of living cell. Into this hugely complex process. Consider what would have. Had to be necessary. For one living cell.
[23:08] Reproduction. And inheritance. The first living cell. Had to be able to. Reproduce itself. So there could be a second. Living cell. And so on. It had to have.
[23:20] In itself. The power. To reproduce. And pass on. Its genetic characteristics. It had to have. A cell membrane. Such. It had to have. A wall around itself.
[23:32] Otherwise. It would drift away. Or be destroyed. By other chemical processes. And the cell membrane. Also had to be permeable. To let chemicals. Go in and out.
[23:42] And it must be able. To grow in size as well. So there's another factor. The very membrane. Of the cell. Then we see thirdly. It had to have. Digestion for energy. Life requires.
[23:53] A process. To get energy. So there had to be. A way to break down. The chemicals. To convert them. To get energy. Out of them. Fourthly. Protein. There had to be. A system.
[24:04] For making proteins. And enzymes. Or it could never. Reproduce itself. A repair capability. All DNA molecules.
[24:15] Are subject to harmful. Mutations. And damage. From other chemicals. There had to be. A process. Of repairing them. Elimination of waste. There would need.
[24:26] To be a process. Of getting rid. Of used up chemicals. And lastly. Respiration. Most life forms. Take in oxygen. In some way. And scientists. Are still debating. If the first living cell.
[24:37] Would have required. A process. Of taking in oxygen. You see those seven things there. They all had to be. Perfectly. In order. Out of this. Fluke.
[24:48] Chance process. To make just one. One. Single. The first living cell. According to. Evolution. Creation. And we see. It's. Total. Scientific.
[24:58] Reasons. To believe. In creation. So. One of these words. Is entropy. Or the second law. Of thermodynamics. Basically. What it's saying. Is that.
[25:09] Things break down. See how the word. Entropy. Is breaking down. Think about. Some rusty piece. Of furniture. I've got some. In my backyard. And it's starting. To break down. The rust.
[25:20] Just eats it away. Eventually. It's just going to crumble. Into the dust. And really. Entropy. This truth that. Things tend to go downhill. To disorganization.
[25:32] And to decreased complexity. Evolution. Supposes that. Order comes out of chaos. That things can improve. Or become more complex. Given enough time.
[25:42] By themselves. But the reality is that. Everything runs down. It's entropy. Everything runs down. You know. Look at yourself in the mirror. And everything runs down.
[25:53] All right. Well it does for me anyway. But this scientific law. Destroys the whole idea of evolution. Doesn't it? For evolution to work. New information would have to be added.
[26:05] To the existing organism. For it to improve. Or increase in complexity. We don't see this. In observable science. So. Entropy. Another scientific concept.
[26:16] Is. Another big word. Sorry. Everyone. Irreducible complexity. And. To explain it simply. You could refer to a mouse trap. You get a mouse trap.
[26:28] For that mouse trap to work. We see there. It's got five components. Only five. Five components. In that mouse trap. You've got the platform. You've got the catch.
[26:39] You've got the spring. You've got the hammer. And you've got the holding bar. That holds it into place. For it to function. So five things. That have to be. In place. For the mouse trap.
[26:50] To work. So irreducible complexity. Is this idea. Well. Okay. If we take one of those things away. Then the whole thing's not going to work. Okay.
[27:01] If you take one of those components. One of those five things away. Remove one piece. And the system fails. You look at. Your human body.
[27:13] You look at. The eye. Take one part. One component. One element away. And it's not going to work. It's going to fail. This is the idea of. You can't reduce.
[27:25] From this complexity. Without the thing falling to bits. And. You can see that with all kinds of things too. That. Our body. Is a machine.
[27:36] With all of these parts. And even take one little part away. And the whole thing. Falls over. If one part of this machine. Is not there. The machine.
[27:46] Will not function. Whereas evolutionists. Kind of think. Well. Life came about. Bang. And. A piece at a time. It's not feasible. Everything had to be there.
[27:57] At the. At the moment. Of. It coming to be. And. It's the same. With you and me. If somehow. We were made. With. One or two pieces missing. Well. We wouldn't be.
[28:09] Alive. Another truth. Is that. Really. And this is a. Obviously. An imaginary picture. Of what evolutionists. Would teach us. Of. The fact that. Transitional forms.
[28:20] Would not be viable. If. Somehow. Some creature. Was changing. Into some other kind of creature. It would not survive. In this process. For example. If a fish. Was changing.
[28:31] Into a dog. Would it have scales. And fur. Gills. And lungs. Fins. And legs. It would be virtually. Impossible. For an animal. Partially evolved. Into another.
[28:42] To survive. And then you've got. All the environment factors. You've got predators. Who quickly. Seize on such half. And half. Animals. But the Bible tells us. This is not how it happened.
[28:54] The Bible tells us. That all living creatures. Were made. By God. In their full. Intended. State. The fact is.
[29:04] That macro evolution. Like this. It never happened. It's not happening now. It didn't happen in the past. And it can never happen at all. And no one has ever seen it happen.
[29:16] Evolutionary. Geneticists. Have experiments. At all kinds of things. Using all kinds of methodologies. And they've never been able. To reproduce. Species.
[29:27] To. A new kind of species. It's just not. Possible. They've not been able to do it. But the Bible says. That we made. After our kind. Just some other.
[29:39] Reasons. To. To support. Faith. In God created. Think of your eye. Your eye. The more you know about the eye. The more impossible.
[29:50] You realize. It would be. To come into existence. Without God. A supremely intelligent being. Created your eye. Think of the complexity.
[30:01] Of your human eye. Of its abilities. To detect millions of colors. It could not have arisen. By chance. But rather.
[30:11] By the intelligent design. Of God. The eye. Is a complex organ. There's a whole lot of stuff. You can. Read up. About these things. I'm really. Just touching. A little bit of it.
[30:22] But the eye. Is so complex. With all of these. Interdependent. Components. Think about the. Irreducible. Complexity. You've got. Photo receptors.
[30:33] Retina. You've got the lens. The eye muscles. The iris. The eyelids. The tear ducts. The octave nerve. All of these things. Are way too intricate.
[30:43] And purposeful. To have evolved. Accidentally. Consider. Snowflakes. There's a wonderful. Majesty. About God's design.
[30:55] But no two. Snowflakes. Are exactly alike. Every. Snowflake. Is a fleeting. One of a kind. Beautiful.
[31:06] Masterpiece. And there's. Photos. You can go on. The internet. And see. There's. Photo galleries. Of. Snowflakes. It's just dazzling.
[31:17] Scientists. Aren't really sure. How. Snowflakes. Get made. Or what. Holds them together. Snowflakes. Tell us about. Creation. Here's a little cartoon.
[31:29] And one snowman. Saying to the other. Don't be absurd. Nobody made us. We evolved by chance. From snowflakes. Because it's ridiculous. Isn't it?
[31:39] Obviously. A snowman. Was made by. Someone. And it's amazing. That something as simple. As. Some frozen water. Is a mystery still. To today's. Sciences. So basically.
[31:51] To. Close off that section. Really. The theory. Of evolution. Is false. It's false. It's false. The whole idea. The whole concept. Is wrong. And faulty.
[32:02] The theory. Of evolution. Is false. So consider. What follows on. From rejecting. The truth. That God created us. This world. That's instilling.
[32:12] This false. Concept. In the minds. Of our children. That. They're just some. Cosmic accident. Some fluke. Some freak. Of nature. Some chance process.
[32:26] Whereas God says. No. We are purposefully made. God created. God created. But the consequences. Of rejecting. Creation. It's really.
[32:37] A slippery slope. Because we see. It's based on this falsehood. The fool. It said in his heart. There is no God. The word fool here. Apparently. It's more than just.
[32:47] An ignorance. It's a moral. Recklessness. It's a reckless thing. To say. That there is no God. Without regard. For a creator. Who endows value.
[32:59] And morality. You drift into relativism. And then you've got. Evolution's idea. Of survival. Of the fittest. There's no basis. For ethics. Might.
[33:09] Becomes right. And human life. Loses sanctity. And then it. Leads to. Darwin's concept. Has led to. Eugenics. And the evil. Genocidal atrocities. Of the past.
[33:20] The idea of evolution. Leads to a loss of purpose. If we're just some cosmic accidents. Mere products of chance. Then life lacks meaning. But. Contrast that hopelessness.
[33:32] With what the scriptures tell us. We see. The praise to our God. Thou art worthy. O Lord. To receive glory. And honour. And power. For thou has created us. Thou has created all things.
[33:44] And for thy pleasure. They are. And were created. We see. Rather than the hopelessness. Of evolution. We've got the hopefulness. Knowing that we're created. For God's pleasure.
[33:55] We're created. For him. It's true that purpose. Flows from design. A watch. Implies a watchmaker. A universe. Implies a creator. But evolution.
[34:06] Takes that away. And you're left with. Hopeless despair. But when you can find God. You can find your purpose. Which is really. For the glory of God.
[34:16] Consider the clashing world views. And the emptiness. Of atheism. It's a massive contrast. Really. On the one side.
[34:27] You see. The evolutionist. Doesn't really know. Where we came from. The one who believes. In God. As creator. Knows exactly. Where we came from. Genesis 1. Verse 1. The evolutionist.
[34:38] Says. He doesn't really know. Where good and evil. Came from. But the Bible. Believer says. No. We know exactly. Where good and evil. Came from. The evolutionist. The atheist. Says. He doesn't really know.
[34:49] What our purpose. In life is. The Bible. Believing. Christian. Says. He knows exactly. What his purpose. In life is. The whole duty of man. The evolutionist.
[35:00] Doesn't really know. What happens. When we die. The Bible. Believer knows. Exactly. What happens. When we die. The judgment. The evolutionist. Doesn't really know.
[35:11] How to preserve life. Forever. To get eternal life. The Bible. Believer knows. Exactly. How to receive eternal life. God so loved the world. He gave his only begotten son. Whosoever believeth on him.
[35:22] Should not perish. But have everlasting life. The atheist. Doesn't really know. What the future holds. For the world. The Bible. Believer knows. Exactly. What the future holds. The evolutionist.
[35:34] The atheist. Doesn't really know. What the truth is. The Bible. Believing Christian. Knows exactly. What the truth is. The true God. And with the evolutionist. Their theories keep changing.
[35:45] They're chopping and changing all the time. The science says. They revise it all the time. But. The Bible. The word of God. The truth. Never changes.
[35:57] So the truth is. Friends. Tonight. That God created. The heavens. And the earth. Consider for a moment. The earth. Just consider this earth. That you're standing on. That you're sitting on. Consider the earth.
[36:08] The planet. That we call our home. A planet. That looks like. It was made for life. Because it was. We see. The. Explorations.
[36:18] Of space. They've never found anything like the earth yet. Have they? Of all the. Gazillions of stars out there. This planet. That we call our home.
[36:29] Is very special. God created. The heavens. And the. Earth. God created. Our miracle planet. And when you look at earth. It's not hard to.
[36:40] Wonder. It was set up. Just right. For life on purpose. You look at its spot. In space. It's air. It's water.
[36:50] It's living systems. Everything. Just. Fits together. Doesn't it? The earth. It's been called really. The miracle planet. And you look at earth's perfect location.
[37:01] Just the right distance from the sun. It's called the Goldilocks zone. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just right. Oh. What an amazing coincidence.
[37:14] Just right. For liquid water. That's a big deal. Because water is the key to life as we know it. It's the Goldilocks zone. And it's got the steady spin and orbit. With a 24 hour day.
[37:25] A 365 day trip around the sun. Gets just the right balance of light and dark. That helps plants and animals. Not too fast or too slow. Just right.
[37:37] And we see that it's atmosphere. It's got the perfect air mix. Our air has 78% nitrogen. 21% oxygen. And other gases here and there. Exactly what we need to breathe.
[37:50] Now there's built in protection too. From the nasty radiation from the sun. With the ozone layer. We just get just enough energy to keep us warm. It's a custom made filter.
[38:03] And then we could talk about the magnetic field as well. That just keeps everything just right. Then we think about water. It's everywhere and it's awesome. Water.
[38:14] It covers 71% of the earth. And it's not just any liquid. Water. As God has made it. It's got some weird tricks. Like expanding when it freezes. So that ice floats.
[38:26] Keeping fish alive under frozen lakes. Wow. What a coincidence. And water holds heat well. And dissolves all kinds of things. Keeping oceans and land from swinging between crazy hot and cold.
[38:41] Keeps things stable. Water. Essential for life. Then we see the planet itself. The systems. The stable orbit. Water. We see the natural cycles.
[38:51] The water cycle. The rain and the evaporation. We see the carbon cycle. Plants and animals trading CO2. And we see the nitrogen cycle.
[39:02] The way that plants get fed. All working together. In this perfect balance. And then you've got the moon. It's not just there for decoration. The moon keeps things steady. Our big moon keeps the earth's tilt from wobbling too much.
[39:16] So we don't get wild climate flips. And then the moon also helps with tides that stir up the ocean. It's just parked at just the right distance from the earth. And it's just the right size.
[39:27] The moon. So we see all of these things. You know, is that just by fluke? Or did God create the heavens and the earth? God created our miracle planet.
[39:39] And made it such that we have this amazing system. The ecosystems. The millions of species. And millions of ways that the bees pollinate flowers and make oxygen.
[39:51] It keeps the whole thing, the whole system running. And what's more, it's got this amazing bonus that the world has got some beautiful things in it, doesn't it? We see the wonder of stunning views of mountains, of sunsets, of oceans.
[40:08] It's not just a place to live. It's a masterpiece. And he's made it for you. He's made it for you. So earth's got all of these right ingredients. Location. Air.
[40:19] Water. Systems. The perfect moon. All working together. Could it all be a big cosmic fluke? Or could it be God created the heavens and the earth?
[40:30] Could it be that he's made it just so precise how everything is that there's clearly a design behind it? In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
[40:45] So what do we make of all of this? What does it matter for you and me? It's a fundamental truth that we can stand firm upon. And everything follows from this truth.
[40:55] It makes sense to believe the creation account of Genesis 1 verse 1 and by implication, the whole book and its message of hope and salvation.
[41:07] Think of the Bible. Even the, you would call them, I suppose you could carelessly call them the boring bits, the genealogies. It tells us it's history.
[41:19] It's a historic record. It tells us this is a valid document. That tells us Adam and Eve and everybody since. It's history. And we can count upon it.
[41:30] We can believe its message. We can believe the whole book. Because Genesis 1 verse 1 is true. Amen? God created the heaven and the earth. And we've got a reasoned faith.
[41:42] We're called to defend. To be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you the reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
[41:52] And this word answer is the Greek apologia where we get the word apologetics which means a defence of the truth. We've got an answer.
[42:03] We've got a defence of the truth that we can give to people such that hopefully with some of the kind of general information you've heard from me tonight. There's a website called 101 Reasons.
[42:16] There's 101 Reasons and we just touched on maybe a handful of those tonight. But we can equip ourselves with the science. The fact that there is a fine tuning of the universe, the complexity of DNA, the fossil record gaps, the actual findings of science are not a threat to faith.
[42:35] But real science accords with the Bible. There's no conflict. And as we come to faith in Christ we can lay hold on God's truth about creation. And Genesis 1 verse 1 right through to the end of the book, Revelation.
[42:50] That creation is that telling truth. And we can share the glorious good news of this Saviour. And we've got a hope inside of us now that trust Him.
[43:02] We've got a hope. We want to share it and tell others too. Really creation is God's signature and we are His masterpieces. And that my soul knoweth right well.
[43:12] David says I'm fearfully made. It's got the sense of reverence, of awe. We stand in awe, don't we, of the awesome God and of His awesome creation. As we see the heavens declare the glory of our God.
[43:27] It's a fearful thing, isn't it, that strikes us with awe and reverence. And we can take heart. Take heart, believer, tonight. Believe God created.
[43:39] Believe God created. And remember your creator. Entrust your life to your creator. It says remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth.
[43:50] It's saying entrust your life to your creator. He's your creator. You're made with a purpose, with a reason. And we can engage with this world and challenge the evolutionary dogma with facts and faith.
[44:02] Because it's flawed. And it will not stand scrutiny. And we can live with purpose, knowing that we are in His hand. That we are made with a purpose.
[44:13] And we can know our creator, personally know Him. Because in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And that means you and me. And we can know God created. Creation thunders God's majesty.
[44:24] Evolution whispers a lie. And we're seeing this all the time. It's sad when we think of some in the public school system. Where they're getting these messages that are denying God created.
[44:38] But it's all based on a falsehood. If Darwin was alive today and he knew what we know today about DNA. What we know today about the complexity of one single human cell.
[44:49] Maybe he would have had a rethink about some of the things that he put out there. But we all face a stark choice today. Whether we fall for that deception. Evolution.
[45:00] Or whether we embrace God's truth. And trust God's word. Genesis is not a myth. But history. And it is affirmed by science and reason.
[45:12] And creation thunders God's majesty. God created. God created. Will you trust Him? Will you put your trust in your creator? And say.
[45:23] Jesus I trust you. Forgive me my sin. I trust you as my saviour. All things were made by Him. And without Him was not anything made.
[45:34] That was made. Let us pray. Lord we thank you that you made the world. You made creation. Lord we have a reason to be. And we've got a hope inside of us.
[45:45] Help us Lord when we're challenged to help others see these truths about the falsehood of evolution. And the wonderful truth of this little blue dot in space that is planet earth.
[46:00] And of the wonders of it. Such that we have a planet. Of such intricacy and complexity. And of the ecosystems. The life.
[46:11] Flora and the fauna. The micro and the macro of the universe. Of the human cell. Lord we thank you for everything. Speaks of your creation. It speaks of your design.
[46:23] Of your handiwork. Lord help us to see it. Help us Lord to be ever mindful of it. To trust our creator. In the days of our youth. Lord to trust you. For time.
[46:33] For eternity. To trust you. With our soul. To trust your plan. Of salvation. That you would so love us. That Christ died. For our sins.
[46:44] Lord we praise you. For these truths. And help us Lord. To take heart. When we challenge in a world. That cares little. For such truth. That we'll stand firm.
[46:55] And solid. And you'll help us to have. That ability to. Stand against falsehood. And to speak up. For your truth. But even more so Lord.
[47:05] To live it out. In our lives. And for our children. We pray. Our children. Our children's children. That they. Will also put. Their trust in you. In Jesus name.
[47:17] Amen. Thank you.
