The Great Day of the Lord
We Will be Kings and Priests
The Great White Throne Judgement
The New Heaven and the New Earth
Now is the Time For Salvation
[0:00] In this study, we're going to be talking about the great day of the Lord. And I titled this, Come Lord Jesus. And you'll see why towards the end. But that's the prayer that I pray.
[0:14] I've found salvation. And now it's just a matter of tribulation. And then there's a coming great tribulation.
[0:26] So my prayer is just, Come Lord Jesus. And I have salvation. And why, Terry, why wait around any longer? So that's my prayer. There's a lot of things in the world that I don't like.
[0:38] There's a lot of issues that we find all around us. And life is a struggle. And I'd much rather be with Jesus. So that's my prayer. Come Lord Jesus.
[0:51] Okay. So let's take a look at this. The great day of the Lord. The last day of the last days. Which was what we're talking about. The last days. So the last day of the last days.
[1:01] Is what is known in scripture as the day of the Lord. It's also known as the great day of the Lord. And it's also referred to as the great day of almighty God. So anytime you see those phrases in scripture.
[1:14] This is the day that we're talking about. The great day of the Lord is that last trumpet. When he descends from heaven. And we are caught up together to meet him in the air.
[1:26] And his feet are going to touch down on Mount Moriah. I'm sorry. Mount Moriah is where the Temple Mount is. And just to the east of that is the Mount of Olives.
[1:36] And his feet are going to touch down on the Mount of Olives. Where he last was before he ascended. And we've read it before in this study. In Acts chapter 1 verses 9 through 11.
[1:48] We read before. Where he spoke final words to his disciples. And while they looked upon him. He was taken up. And the Bible says a cloud received him out of their sight.
[1:58] And then appeared two angels. And they told his disciples. This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven. Shall also come in like manner.
[2:09] As you have seen him go into heaven. Okay. And so they were standing on the Mount of Olives when this happened. And I have a little map inside your pages for you.
[2:21] Over on the right hand side where the big red arrow is. Is the Mount of Olives. And it's just east of the Temple Mount. And that's where this is all happening.
[2:32] On the great day of the Lord. This is where he. Jesus. After the crucifixion. The resurrection. He spent 40 days with his disciples. And his apostles. And right before he leaves them.
[2:43] They're on the Mount of Olives. And that's where he left them from. And then he told them to go to Jerusalem. And if you're there. You can literally just look. This is the. The Mount.
[2:53] The Mount. Of Olives right here. You can literally just look. East. It's about. Not even a half of a mile. To.
[3:05] To the west. Of where they were standing. Was all of Jerusalem. And the Temple Mount. And everything. And he. And. That's when they. He said. Go to Jerusalem. And wait for the promise.
[3:15] Talking about. The Holy. Okay. So you can kind of imagine yourself. Being there. At that time. Okay. And so. That's. That's. The great day of the Lord.
[3:26] When he would return. He's going to touch down. On the Mount of Olives. So let's take a look at this. Zechariah 14. 4 through 5. And his feet. Shall stand in that day.
[3:36] Upon the Mount of Olives. Which is before Jerusalem. On the east. And the Mount of Olives. Shall cleave. In the midst thereof. Toward the east. And toward the west.
[3:47] And there shall be. A very great valley. And half of the mountain. Shall remove toward. The north. And half. Of it. Toward the south. And he shall flee.
[3:58] Into the valley of the mountains. For. The valley of the mountains. Shall reach unto Azale. Yea. Ye shall flee. Like as. Ye fled from. Before. The earthquake.
[4:09] In the days of Uzziah. The king. Of Judah. And the Lord. My God. Shall come. And all the saints. With thee. Okay. So. Quite literally. When Jesus.
[4:19] Touch. Touches down. With. The saints. At that. Seventh trumpet. And this. Right. The seventh vial. Right after the sixth vial. Of God's wrath.
[4:31] Literally. The mountain. Is going to. Separate. To the north. And to the south. And there's going to be. A valley. Created here. Okay. So for your notes. Jesus lands.
[4:41] At the mount. Lives with his saints. There's a great. There's a great earthquake. And the mount of olives. Is split. Two. And.
[4:55] And after Jesus. And his. Armies. His heavenly armies. Is the heavenly host. All the angels. And us. That meet him in the air. We're going to land there.
[5:05] On the mount of olives. Jesus. First order of business. Is going to be. To deal with his enemies. And those that persecuted. His bride. The church. During the great tribulation.
[5:17] So if you remember. His return. Is a culmination. Of the seventh trumpet. And the seventh vial. Of God's wrath. And it was. It was. At the sixth vial.
[5:28] Of God's wrath. That gathered. All the Lord's. Into one place. For this. To happen. It was in that sixth vial. Where. A demonic.
[5:39] Deception. Went out. And caused. All the armies. Of the world. To come together. Into one place. To do battle. With God. They saw that. He was coming. And so.
[5:51] They. Gathered together. Into one place. And this is working out. Perfectly. For God. To come. Back. And deal with his enemies. Revelation chapter 19. Verses 19 through 21.
[6:02] And I saw the beast. And the. Kings of the earth. And their armies. Gathered together. To make war. Against him. That sat on the. On the horse. And against his army. Remember. Jesus is returning.
[6:13] On a white horse. And we're behind him. We've met him in the air. At his return. And we're behind him. And the beast was taken. And with him. The false prophet.
[6:23] And that wrought miracles. Before him. With which he deceived them. That had received the mark. Of the beast. And them that worshiped. His image. These both were cast alive.
[6:33] Into the lake of fire. Burning with brimstone. And verse 21. And the remnant. Were slain with the sword of him. That sat upon the horse. Which sword proceeded out of his mouth.
[6:45] And all the fowls were filled. With their flesh. And in a parallel. Will. Describe. Exactly. The flesh. The flesh. The flesh. The flesh. The flesh.
[6:56] Will smite. All the people. That have fought against Jerusalem. Their flesh. Shall consume away. While they stand upon their feet. And their eyes. Shall consume away.
[7:07] And their holes. And their tongue. Shall consume away. In their mouth. So. Quite literally. After. Jesus lands. On the Mount of Olives. With his church.
[7:18] With his bride. We've been already. In a twinkling of eye. We've been glorified. Whereas the angels. All the heavenly hosts. Is there to witness this. The first order of business. Is he's taking care of.
[7:29] The false prophet. And the beast. Who created all this mess. With the mark of the beast. And all these armies. That are gathered together. He's going to destroy them all.
[7:41] Quite literally. With the word. That the sword. That preceded out of his mouth. We know the word of God. Is as sharp as a two-edged sword. And so. Quite literally. With the word of his mouth. He's going to destroy his enemies.
[7:53] And it's going to be like a plague. In which. Their flesh. Is just going to be consumed. Just disappear. Right off their bones. As they stand there. Their eyes will be gone. From their sockets.
[8:03] And their tongue. Out of their mouth. They're just going to be. Dissolved. Into nothing. At the word of. His mouth. Okay. So Jesus cast a false prophet.
[8:14] And the beast. Like a fire. And the armies. That were marching. Against Jerusalem. Are killed by the word. Of his mouth. And then. Zechariah chapter 14. Verse 8 through 9.
[8:26] And it shall be in that day. That living water. Shall go out from Jerusalem. Half of them toward the former sea. And half of them toward the hender sea.
[8:37] And in summer and in winter. Shall it be. And the Lord shall be king. Over all the earth. And that day. Shall there be one Lord. And his name one.
[8:48] This is the Old Testament. So the name of Jesus. Obviously hasn't been. Revealed yet. But we. Believe. The message of oneness. That there's one name. And then in.
[9:00] Joel. 3 and 18. The prophet. And it shall come to pass. And that day. That the mountains. Shall drop down. New wine. And the hills. Shall flow with milk.
[9:11] And all the rivers of Judah. Shall flow with waters. And a fountain. Shall come forth. Out of the house. Of the Lord. And shall water. The valley of Shittim. Okay. So.
[9:23] This is all. Some talk for. You know. The land that flows with milk. And honey. And things like this. This is. Talking about. And you have to remember. That in the vials of God's wrath.
[9:36] The trumpets affected one third. And then the vials of God's wrath. Affected the whole earth. And. At this point in time. When Jesus returns. The. The. The waters are a mess.
[9:48] There's. There's. There's. Been turned to blood. They're not usable. They're. They've been affected. Okay. So. From this point. After. Jesus touchdowns with his church. He takes care of the false prophet.
[10:00] The beast. He takes care of the armies. That are marching against Jerusalem. He saves Jerusalem. Just in the nick of time. And then. Immediately. He sets. Start setting up his kingdom.
[10:10] And living water. Starts to flow from Jerusalem. And it's. To heal. And take care of all the mess. That's. Gone on. Okay. So living waters.
[10:21] Flow from Jerusalem. Zachariah. Chapter 14. Verse 16. Through 19. And shall come the past. That everyone. That is left. Of all the nations.
[10:32] Which came against Jerusalem. Shall even go up. From year to year. To worship the king. The lord of hosts. And to keep. The feast of the tabernacles. Okay. So I'm going to slow down on this. It says.
[10:43] And it shall come the past. That everyone. That is left. Of all the nations. Okay. Of everyone. That made it through the tribulation. That we're not.
[10:54] In the first resurrection. And rapture. So these are unsaved people. They've. Somehow made it. Through all the wrath of God. All the tribulation. We know a lot of the. Of the population.
[11:06] Is going to be. Killed. Killed. During those times. But there are going to be. People remaining. From every nation. And everyone. That is left. Of all those nations. That. They're going to go up.
[11:17] From year to year. To worship. And lord of hosts. And to keep. The feast of tabernacles. And it shall be. That whoso. Will not come up. Of all the families.
[11:28] Of the earth. Unto Jerusalem. To worship the king. The lord of hosts. Even upon them. Shall be no rain. And if the family. Of Egypt. Go not up. Remember.
[11:38] Egypt represents. Sin. They're unsaved. And come not. That have no rain. There shall be. A plague. Wherewith. The lord. Will smite. The heathen. That come. Not up.
[11:49] To keep. The feast of tabernacles. This shall be. The punishment. Of Egypt. And the punishment. Of all nations. That come not up. To keep. The feast of tabernacles. Okay.
[11:59] So Jesus. Is ruling. The earth. From Jerusalem. As king. And then. All the nations. All the people. The families. That are left. Are going to be expected.
[12:11] To come yearly. To worship Jesus. And any family. That doesn't come. To worship. Yearly. The feast of tabernacles. Will have. Family plagues.
[12:22] To deal with. And so. God is. Going to be. Expecting worship. Which he. Deserves.
[12:33] Amen. See. You start reading. Descriptions like this. Where there's. Going to be forced. Worship. Or you're going to be punished. In a sense. We start thinking. This is. Not the Jesus.
[12:43] That I. Been taught. Or know about. You know. And. Well. We look at Jesus. A lot of times. We look at God.
[12:54] And it was just. That sacrifice. That he made. For our sins. And we just look at the time. He was here on earth. And we forget. The sole purpose. Of his visit. At that time. Is just to undo.
[13:06] The works of the devil. Which we've learned about. And. And to be a sacrifice. For us. And we see all the love. And the grace. And the mercy. And all this. But I'm telling you. There's going to come.
[13:16] A point in time. Where. That. That. It's. The Bible says. That he's going to rule the earth. With a rod of iron. Okay. So you have one side. One perspective.
[13:27] Of your God. Right now. And. But the Bible. Gives us. The full perspective. Of God. And he is a just God. There's going to be judgment. To face. And people are going to. Recognize this.
[13:38] Whether they like it. Or not. So now's a good time. I guess. To get real. With God. Isaiah 2. 2 through 4. And shall come the past.
[13:49] And the last days. That the mountain. Of the Lord's house. Shall be established. In the top of the mountains. And shall be exalted. Above the hills. And all nations. Shall flow unto it.
[14:00] And many people. Shall go and say. Come ye. And let us go. Into the mountain. Of the Lord. And to the house. Of the God of Jacob. And he will teach us. Of his ways.
[14:11] And we will. Walk in his paths. For out of Zion. Which is Jerusalem. The holy city. Shall go forth. The law. And the word of the Lord. From Jerusalem.
[14:22] And he shall judge. Among the nations. And shall rebuke. Many people. And they shall beat. Their swords. Into plowshares. And their spears.
[14:32] Into pruning hooks. Nations shall not lift up sword. Against nation. Neither shall they. Learn war. Anymore. Okay. So during this.
[14:43] Thousand year. Reign of Christ. On the earth. He's. He's basically. Going to be teaching people. How to be. Christians. How to be.
[14:55] His servants. And. Is. There's. Going to be. Worship. Is going to be. Required. And. There's going to be. Rules and laws.
[15:05] That's going to come. From the Lord. From Jerusalem. To all nations. And he's going to. Rule the world. And there will be. No more wars. The Bible says. That the weapons. Of warfare. Is going to be.
[15:15] Turned into. Farming equipment. Because there's not. Going to be any use. For those things. Anymore. And God's. Literally. Setting up. A perfect.
[15:27] Place. A kingdom. And. To rule justly. And there will not be. Wars. Anymore. Amen. Thank God. And then.
[15:38] Moving on. We're going to. We're going to be. Ruling with him. The Bible says. We will be. Kings and priests. Those who have. Heart. In the first resurrection. That we learned about.
[15:49] At the coming of the Lord. Jesus Christ. When the. Changed. In that twinkling of an eye. We're going to. Ring. With. Kings and priests. And we're going to.
[16:00] Sit. With him. In judgment. Revelation. Chapter 20. Verse 4. Says. And I saw. Thrones. And they. Set upon them. And judgment.
[16:11] Was given unto them. It's talking about us. That make it. And I saw. The souls of them. That were beheaded. For the witness of Jesus. And for the word of God.
[16:22] And which had not. Not worshiped the beast. Neither his image. Neither had received his mark. Upon their foreheads. Or in their hands. And they lived. And reigned. With Christ. A thousand years. First Corinthians.
[16:33] Six. Two and three. Says. Do you not know. This is Paul speaking to the church in Corinth. Do you not know. That the saints shall judge the world. And if the world shall be judged by you.
[16:45] Are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters. Know you not that we shall judge angels. How much more things that pertain to this life. He was correcting some things in the church of Corinth.
[16:58] And saying. You guys need to get your acts together. And make some better decisions. And make some better judgments in your life. And deal with your lives. And others.
[17:09] Properly. And quit messing around. And how are you guys going to judge. The earth with the Lord. And even judge angels. Don't you guys know. You're going to be judges one day.
[17:20] And you can't even judge these small matters. In your life right now. That's basically what he's saying. But it reveals to us. That we will be judges with the Lord. And even judging angels.
[17:31] Okay. Revelation 5. 9 through 10. And they sung a new song. Saying. Thou art worthy to take the book. And to open the seals thereof.
[17:42] For thou was slain. And has redeemed us to God. By thy blood. Out of thy kindred. And tongue. And people. And nation. And has made us unto our God.
[17:52] Kings and priests. And we shall reign on the earth. Okay. That's. If you remember that scripture. We brought that out. When we're. Talking about the lamb. That was worthy. And.
[18:03] Talking about the book. With the seven seals. That he was worthy to open. The book. And there. In verse 10. There's a little note. A nugget. That again. That indicates. That we're going to be kings and priests.
[18:13] On the earth. And reign with Christ. On the earth. Revelation 1 and 6. And have made us kings and priests. Unto God and his father. To him. Be glory and dominion. Forever and ever.
[18:23] Amen. Okay. So. Plenty of scriptures. Back up. This. All the kingdoms. Will be the lords. Sorry.
[18:34] We're going to sit up on thrones. We will sit up on thrones. We will have. The role. Judge and rule people.
[18:45] And angels. Revelation 11 and 15. And the seventh angel sounded. So this is the seventh trumpet. And there were great voices in heaven.
[18:56] Saying the kingdoms of this world. Are become the kingdoms of our Lord. And of his Christ. And he shall reign forever and ever. And it was also prophesied.
[19:07] In I think. One of our first lessons. We read in Daniel 7 and 27. And the kingdom and dominion. Dominion is. The domain of a king.
[19:19] And the greatness of the kingdom. Under the whole heaven. Shall be given to the people. Of the saints. Of the most high. So. So those that make it. The kingdoms can really be given to us.
[19:31] Whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. And all dominions. Shall serve and obey him. So all the. All the nations. All the different kingdoms. Around the world. Are going to.
[19:42] Obey and serve God. And we're going to be kings and priests. All the kingdoms. All the kingdoms will be the Lord's. From that point on. It will be an everlasting kingdom. The.
[19:53] The governance. Of God ruling. And us. Ruling with him. Is never going to change. The. We're going to learn. Of. A new heaven. And a new earth.
[20:04] The physical. Is going to change. At some point. After the thousand years. We'll get into that in a minute. But. That. The fact that. There's going to be an everlasting kingdom. Is not going to change.
[20:16] God's setting up his everlasting kingdom. Okay. Revelation 20. 7 through 10. Here we are at the end of the thousand years.
[20:29] The end of the thousand year millennial reign. And when the thousand years. Are expired. Satan shall be loosed. Out of his prison. And shall go out.
[20:40] To deceive the nations. Which are in the four quarters. Of the earth. Gog and Magog. To gather them. Together. To battle. The number of whom.
[20:50] Is as the sand of the sea. And they went up. On the breadth. Of the earth. And compassed the camp. Of the saints about. In the beloved city.
[21:01] So we're talking about. Israel. Jerusalem there. And fire came down. From God. Out of heaven. And devoured them. Verse 10. And the devil. That deceived them. Was cast into the lake of fire.
[21:13] And brimstone. Where the beast. And the false prophet. Are. And shall be tormented. Day and night. Forever and ever. Okay. So. Remember. The false prophet. And the.
[21:24] Beasts were cast into the lake of fire. From the get go. The devil was bound up. For a thousand years. The bible had. We had read it before. Where it. Let us know that. He would be loosed.
[21:35] For a short season. And at the end of the thousand years. God. Allows for one more temptation. And. All the. Any unrighteous.
[21:45] That are remaining. After those thousand years. Of having to come to. The temple mount. And worship God. And have a. A service. Every year. And. To learn the ways of God.
[21:57] And. To learn the. The word of God. And all of us. That have made it. Are kings and priests to them. Teaching them. The word of God. And how to. Live right. And righteousness. There's still going to be.
[22:08] At the end of the thousand years. People that will fall. To the devil. Okay. So this is the last. I guess. Filtering. Of unrighteousness. Okay.
[22:19] After a thousand years. The devil is. Is loosed. And there will be. Rebellion. And the rebellion. Will be. Instantly. Finished off. They won't even have. A chance.
[22:31] And the devil. Will finally. Be cast into the lake of fire. With the false prophet. And the beast. And he'll be tormented. Forever. And ever. And ever.
[22:41] And ever. And ever. And ever. In the lake of fire. Okay. Now.
[22:53] We're going to go into. What happens. After the thousand years. And after this. Takes place. And it. And immediately. What's going to. Take place.
[23:04] Is the second. Resurrection. Okay. If you. If you live right. And die right. Now. You will make it. In the first resurrection.
[23:14] And you will avoid. Having to wait. Through the millennial kingdom. To be resurrected. In the second resurrection. You don't want to. Go in the second resurrection.
[23:25] You want to. Make it in the first resurrection. And so. After the millennial kingdom. After the saint. Is finally taken care of. All the rebellions. There's no. No unrighteousness left. At that point.
[23:36] The great. White throne of judgment. Is what it's called. Takes place. Okay. And it's. Before we get into. The great white throne. Of judgment. I want to.
[23:48] Get us. A good understanding. About this question. What happens. When we die. So right here. And right now. As we live today. What happens. When we die. And the first thing.
[23:59] I want to say. It depends on how you lived. And how you died. What was your relationship. With God. Were you. Did you experience. His plan of salvation. Did you follow. After the Holy Ghost.
[24:10] Were you a child of God. When you died. Okay. So let's find out. Ecclesiastes. Twelve and seven. Says. Then shall the dust. Return to the earth. As it was.
[24:20] And the spirit. Shall return unto God. Who gave it. So there's a separation. Of our. The spiritual part of us. And the fleshly part of us. And the flesh. Turns to ash. Dust. Whatever.
[24:33] And remains here. On the earth. So the body remains. And the spirit. Goes back to God. Who gave us that. Luke 23 and 43. Jesus said. And then. Verily I said to thee.
[24:43] Today. Shalt thou be with me. In paradise. This is Jesus on the cross. Speaking to one of the. The thieves. That confessed. And believed that. He was. He was the. The Christ.
[24:54] And he. Told them. Today. You're going to be with me. In paradise. Okay. And then. Second Corinthians. Five and eight. We are confident. I say. And willing rather.
[25:05] To be absent. From the body. And to be present. With the Lord. So when we die. We're going to be absent. From this body. And our soul. Our spirit. Is going to be present.
[25:16] In the presence. Of the Lord. Philippians 1 and 23. For I am. In a straight. Betwixt. Two. Between two. Having a desire. To depart. I want to be.
[25:26] I want to. Out of this world. And to be with Christ. Which is far better. Okay. So. When we die. If we die. In righteousness. Our bodies.
[25:38] Are going to remain. Here on the earth. And our souls. Are going to go. To heaven. In a state of rest. And waiting. Okay. We're not going to be attached.
[25:49] To our bodies. We're not going. There's. There's. It seems. There will be some sort of limitations. To. Our existence. But we will still exist. We are.
[26:01] We. We have a spirit. We have a soul. And that's eternal. It doesn't. It's. It's not. Ever. It doesn't ever end. And so. We will be.
[26:12] In a state of rest. And waiting. In paradise. It'll be. It'll be a good place. In fact. We have. Scriptures. That show us. That.
[26:23] We would be under the altar. Of the Lord. In heaven. Okay. So those that die. In the right standing. With God. Their souls will find rest.
[26:33] Until the great day. Of the Lord. With that seventh trumpet. Remember. The dead in Christ. Will rise first. So. That dust. Whatever our flesh.
[26:44] And bones. Have become. Over. How many ever years. Or what not. Is going to all come together. Miraculously. And it's going to meet. Our. Soul. In the air.
[26:55] As. As. The Lord returns. And it's going to. All come together. And the Bible says. In a twinkling of an eye. Our. Our. Corruptible. Is going to put on. Incorruption. And our.
[27:06] Mortal. Is going to put on. Immortality. If you remember that. Okay. From the. And then if you remember. In the fifth seal. In Revelation. Chapter six. Nine through eleven. It shows us.
[27:17] Those. Precious saints. That died in the faith. Over the years. Those. That were martyred. Throughout history. For the name of Jesus. Their souls. Are under the altar.
[27:28] In heaven. And those souls. Are crying out. To the Lord. Asking them. How long. Will it be. Before you. Judge. And avenge our blood. And the Lord. Tells them. That they should rest. A little while.
[27:38] Until. Their fellow servants. And brethren. Should be killed. As they were. Referring to the great tribulation. We know that. If we don't take the mark. During the great tribulation. That we're going to be.
[27:49] Killed. Just like the apostles. And the disciples. Were. Beheaded. And. And crucified. Upside down. And all these things. Because. Of their faith. Okay. And Jesus also taught.
[28:00] Us. What happens. When we die. Without his. His righteousness. So. We want to die. With his righteousness. But let's look at what happens. When. We don't. Yeah.
[28:11] We'll just. Not spend a lot. Too much time here. I'll give you. A scripture setting. Jesus speaking. And teaching. In Luke. Chapter 16. Verse 22. Through 24. And it came to pass.
[28:22] That the beggar died. And was carried. By the angels. Into Abraham's bosom. The rich man. Also died. And was buried. And in hell. He lift up his eyes.
[28:33] Being in torments. And see if Abraham. Afar off. And Lazarus. In his bosom. And he cried. And said. Father Abraham. Have mercy on me. And send Lazarus. That he may dip.
[28:43] The tip of his finger. In water. And cool my tongue. For I am tormented. In his flame. And so Jesus. Gives us a description. Of hell. Okay. When the. When the unrighteous.
[28:54] Die. Their body. Bodies remain on earth. And their souls. Go to hell. Where there is. Torment. And waiting for final judgment. Okay. And so.
[29:05] If you die. Wrong. If you die without. Righteousness. The covering of. Of Jesus's blood. If you die without.
[29:15] Repentance. If you die without. Being baptized. In the name of Jesus. If you die without. His spirit. Inside of you. When you die. The wrath of God. Is going to meet you. At that point.
[29:26] Of death. And you're going to be. Carried into. Hell. Okay. And you will. Reign in that state. Through the thousand year. Rain. You're not going to get to see.
[29:38] The kingdom of God. Or. Or be in the kingdom of God. Just like Jesus told. Nicodemus. They're not born again. Of the water and the spirit.
[29:49] You will not see. The kingdom of God. God. So. There's. Our spirit. Our souls. Either going to be in heaven. In a paradise.
[30:00] In a state of waiting. Or. In a place of torment. Waiting. Okay. And. And. And. The first resurrection. Is for those. Whose souls are in heaven.
[30:11] And. The second resurrection. Is for those. Whose souls are in hell. Hell is a temporary place. If you study. The word of God. You'll find that it's a temporary place.
[30:22] It's. It's a place of torment. It's not a comfortable place. It's outer darkness. It's. There's wailing and gnashing of teeth. There's not good descriptions of this place.
[30:35] Of. Hades or hell. Revelation chapter 20. Verse 11 through 15. And I saw a great white throne. And this is.
[30:45] So this is after the millennial reign. This is. This is. Um. After the devil's been. Uh. Loosed. And there's one last final rebellion.
[30:57] It was squashed immediately. And. Now. There's going to be this. Great white throne. And him that sat on it. For whose face. The earth and the heaven. Fled away. And there was found no place for them.
[31:08] And I saw the dead. Small and great. Stand before God. And the books were opened. And another book was opened. Which is the book of life. And the dead were judged.
[31:19] Out of those things. Which were written in the books. According to their works. And the sea gave up. The dead which were in it. And the death and hell. Delivered up the dead.
[31:30] Which were in them. And they were judged. Every man according to their works. And death and hell. Were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
[31:42] And whosoever was not found. Written in the book of life. Was cast into the lake of fire. Father. Okay. So. This great white throne.
[31:54] Of judgment. Is where God. Finally judges. All those that. Rejected truth. Did not live. According to the word of God.
[32:05] Was never conformed to the word of God. Did not have his spirit when they died. Were not children of God. Okay. So after the thousand year reign. And putting down. The last rebellion.
[32:16] The unrighteous. Are resurrected. In a second resurrection. Are judged. And cast into the lake of fire. And this ends all of sin.
[32:27] Ends all of death. Ends hell. And it ends. All rebellion forever. Forever. And then the Bible teaches.
[32:38] That there is going to be. A new heaven. And a new earth. Following that millennial reign. So we can first read it. In 2nd Peter. Chapter 3.
[32:48] Verse 10 through 13. But the day of the Lord. Will come as a thief in the night. And the which. The heavens shall pass away. With a great noise.
[32:59] And the elements shall melt. With fervent heat. The earth also. And the works. That are therein. Shall be burned up. Seeing then. That all these things.
[33:10] Shall be dissolved. So he's. So Paul's just. Or I'm sorry. Peter's just like. Looking around. And pointing things out. Seeing then. All these things. Shall be dissolved. What manner of persons.
[33:22] Ought ye to be. In all holy conversation. And godliness. King James Version. Bible. The word conversation. Better.
[33:34] It could translate. In. Says lifestyle. So. Our conversation. Words we say. But it's how we live. If you study that out.
[33:45] Seeing then. All these things. Will be dissolved. What manner of persons. Will we be. In all holy. Conversation. Our lifestyles. And godliness. Verse 12.
[33:55] Looking for. And hasting. Unto the coming. Of the day of God. Wherein the heavens. Being on fire. Shall be dissolved. And the. Fervent heat.
[34:07] Nevertheless. We. According to his promise. Look. For new heavens. New earth. Wherein. Dwell. Of righteousness. Okay. So. Point. Of a new heaven.
[34:18] A new earth. Is all the old things. Are going to be passed away. The. The. The. The heaven. And the earth. Is going to be. Melt away. With a fervent heat. All the.
[34:31] Molecules. And. The atoms. Is going to be. Dissolved. Into nothing. And there's going to be. A new heaven. And a new earth. Okay. Revelation chapter 21. Verse 1 through 4. And I saw a new heaven.
[34:42] And a new earth. Where the first heaven. And the first earth. Were passed away. Coming down from God. Out of heaven.
[34:53] Prepared as a bride. Adorn. Out of heaven. Saying behold. The tabernacle of God. Is with men. And he will dwell. With them.
[35:04] And they shall. Be his people. And God himself. Shall be with them. And be their God. Wipe away. All tears. From their eyes. And there shall be. No more death. Neither sorrow.
[35:15] Nor crying. Neither shall there be. Any more pain. For the former things. Are passed away. Okay. So the old creation. Will melt away. The fervent heat.
[35:28] And a new heaven. And an earth. Is created. That will last. For eternity. The new heaven. And the new earth. So wonderful.
[35:38] That we cannot really fully. Understand or imagine it. But. I gave you a chart. On. Your next page there. With all the scripture references.
[35:50] Found in. Sorry. Revelation chapter 21. And 22. That describes. The new heaven. And the new earth. You can take time to. Read. That.
[36:01] Later. In your own. Devotions. Okay. So. And. We got this new heaven. And new earth. And it's for righteousness only.
[36:13] The new heavens and the earth. It's. Only. For righteous. So. In the millennial reign. There's still unrighteousness. There's still. We're still ministering to people. We're. We're. Kings and priests.
[36:23] And. We're trying to teach people. And save people. In a sense. And so. You know. You think about that. You say. Well. Hey. We should get. Start practicing that today. But.
[36:35] That's what we'll be doing. So. There's. There's still an element. Of unrighteousness. And we know that. That last rebellion. Squashed. But now. In the new heaven and new earth. There's not going to be any unrighteousness. It's just. Only for.
[36:46] Righteousness only. And that's the best part. Of. The new heaven and new earth. It's going to be amazing. And. So. I want to end.
[36:57] This is that. Now. Is the time for salvation. Isaiah 55. 6. Verse 7. Says. Seek ye the Lord. While he may be found. Call ye upon him. While he is near.
[37:08] Let the wicked. Forsake his way. And. The unrighteousness. The unrighteous man. His thoughts. Let him return unto the Lord. And he will have mercy upon him.
[37:20] And to our God. For he. Will abundantly pardon. Okay. Now is the time of salvation. Seek ye the Lord. While you can. While he can be found now. Because there's coming a day.
[37:31] When. If. When. If. When you die. However you. Whatever state you died in. Whether it's in righteousness. Or unrighteousness. That's your eternal. Eternity. Okay. You can say. Well.
[37:42] I'll. I'll be. Oh. One that makes it through the tribulation. I'll never die. Okay. Good luck. The Bible says. Those that are alive and remain. It isn't. It's. It's.
[37:52] It's going to be a remnant. Okay. Most of us. We either die before this ever starts going down. Or we're going to die during it. Or you're going to take the mark of the beast.
[38:05] Second Corinthians six and two says. For he saith. I have heard thee in a time accepted. In the day of salvation have I. Secured thee.
[38:17] Behold. Now is the accepted time. Behold. Now is the day of salvation. Okay. It. Now is Paul teaching the Corinth church. Two thousand years ago.
[38:27] We're still in that same space of grace. Where. We can find salvation now. We can repent now. We can be baptized now. We can.
[38:38] Be filled with the Holy Ghost now. We can live. Now. Devoted to God. We can work in God's kingdom. And serve in God's kingdom. As. As. If we're falling after the Holy Ghost.
[38:48] We're not. Trying to build our lives somewhere. And do this. And do that. And focus on this. And focus on that. And then. You know. Just. Make ourselves feel better. By coming to church. Every once in a while. Or whatever.
[38:59] But we're going to be dedicated. To the kingdom of God. Otherwise you're not falling after the Holy Ghost. And if you're not falling after the Holy Ghost. You're not a child of God. And so. I pray for. Those that. Are like that. James 4 and 14.
[39:11] Whereas you know. Not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life. It is. Even a vapor. That appeareth. For a little time. And then.
[39:21] Vanishes away. Your. Your end times. May come before. The end times. Is what I'm trying to say. Like. Our lives. Are like a vapor. Okay. It's very fragile.
[39:33] It can happen at any point in time. Most people don't know. When they're going to die. And. It just happens. Of some sort. In some way.
[39:44] And we have to be prepared. Now is the time of salvation. Make yourself ready now. While you can. Because you don't know. When your end times. Is going to come. It doesn't have to be. At a seventh trumpet.
[39:55] It's not. Might not be at the. At the. Three and a half year mark. When there's the third temple built. And the man of sin. Stands in there. And there's the abomination. Desolation. You may not even see.
[40:05] None of that happen. Something may happen to you. Before then. And so. Every day. We have to live. Like we need. Salvation. Because we do. Okay.
[40:15] Revelation chapter 22. Verse. 17. There's your notes. From. The previous scriptures. Revelation chapter 22.
[40:26] Verse. 17 to 20. Actually. Before we do that. I got one more slide. You guys know this. You guys probably want that.
[40:39] Right now though. You should know that already too. Now is the accepted time of salvation. Now is the time to repent. Be baptized in Jesus. Name. And receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Okay.
[40:50] But. With the expectation. That we may have had visitors here today. I want. I wanted to go over this. Okay. Now. When they heard this. They were pricked in their heart. And said.
[41:01] To Peter. What. The rest of the apostles. Men. Brethren. What shall we do? What should we do to be saved? What are we going to do? You just told us. We crucified our Savior. Now what? Then Peter said unto them.
[41:11] Repent. And be baptized. Every one of you. In the name of Jesus Christ. For the remission of your sins. And you shall. Now receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you. And to your children. And to all.
[41:22] That are far off. Even. As many as Lord our God shall call. And verse 40. And with many other words. Did he testify and exhort. Saying. Save yourselves. From this untoward generation.
[41:34] It's going to come down to you. Making a decision. To save yourself. It's a daily decision. That you have to make. Save yourself. From this untoward generation.
[41:45] Obey the gospel. Obey the Bible. Search God. And find. What God has for you to do in his kingdom. Follow after the Holy Ghost. If you don't feel a calling.
[41:57] Or a feeling to. You have to do something for the kingdom of God. Then you don't have the Holy Ghost. Or you're not sensitive enough to the Holy Ghost. To understand what that is. Because. If. Jesus was here literally.
[42:08] And. Just like he was. Walking on the earth. We would be following him around. Everywhere he goes. And. Learning from him. And he would be teaching us things. And we'd be ministering to people. He didn't just stay in one place.
[42:20] Read the gospels. He was all over the place. All the time. What makes you think. That's going to be any different now. When. The whole purpose and point. It was expedient for us. That he would.
[42:31] Be crucified. And send back his spirit. On the day of Pentecost. For his spirit. Into. To thousands and millions of people. That we would be ministers. To this whole earth. During this time.
[42:41] That salvation is now. Available for us now. It's available for the world. Around us now. And there's coming a day. When it's not going to be. And. And. The. The. The end time is going to come.
[42:52] And salvation. The time for salvation. Is not going to be. And if you. And if they. Don't make it through all that tribulation. Don't count on those odds. It's going to be very slim. That someone would make it through.
[43:04] All of God's wrath. And everything that goes on. And be one of those. People from those nations. That remain. I wouldn't want those. Those odds. So I'm going to do what I have to do. To save myself.
[43:15] From this. Untoward. The sinful generation. That I live in. Now. And. If Jesus was here. We would be following him. But if you have his spirit.
[43:25] Inside of you. Jesus isn't going to be. Just sitting around somewhere. That spirit. Isn't going to just. Want you to be sitting around somewhere. Doing nothing for God. But he's going to be. Drawing you.
[43:35] And motivating you. And pulling you to do this. And do that. And you can sit there. And ignore him. If you want to. Or you can. Follow after the spirit. Like the Bible says. Revelation chapter 22.
[43:48] Verse 17 through 20. Says. And the spirit. And the bride. Say come. And let him that heareth. Say come. And let him that is a thirst. Come. And whosoever will.
[44:00] Let him take the water. Of life freely. For I testify. Unto every man. That heareth the words. Of the prophecy. Of this book. This is how. Revelation ends. This is the last chapter.
[44:11] The last verses. Okay. There's. There's this. This opening. Invitation to everyone. It says. In the spirit. Which is. God's spirit.
[44:22] And the bride. Which is the church. People in the church. Say come. And let him. Heareth. Say come. And let him. That is a thirst.
[44:33] Come. And whosoever will. Let them. Take of the water. Of life freely. So it's available. To us now. And then. John closes like this. He says. For I testify. And to every man.
[44:43] That heareth. The words of this prophecy. Of this book. If any man. Shall add. Unto these things. God shall add. Unto him. The plagues. That are. Written in this book. And if any man. Shall take away.
[44:54] From the words. Of this book. Of this prophecy. God shall take away. His part. Out of the book of life. And out of the holy city. And from the things. Which are written. In this book. Verse 20.
[45:05] And which testifies. These things. Sayeth. And this is red letters. Surely. I come quickly. Amen. Even so. Come. Lord Jesus. Amen.
[45:16] Let's stand. Lord Jesus. I thank you for your word. I thank you for your promises of your return. Amen. Amen. Thank you.
