[0:00] Don't tell me you didn't watch it. That's what it was about. Preaching time.

[0:14] I like preaching. I like picking and grinning. But I really like preaching, man. Preaching's what I'm all about.

[0:25] I thank God for His call to the ministry that He gave me. What ability I have.

[0:43] I don't want to brag about it because I ain't that good at it. But I sure do like it. I'm glad that He called me to preach. And so I want to preach to you right now.

[0:54] Amen. Take your Bibles, if you will, and turn to the book of Revelation, chapter 15. And I'm going to bring you a message today on the subject, What kind of aftershave are you wearing?

[1:07] What kind of aftershave is that? That's my subject. And I'll get into that further as we go along. Revelation. Mmm, man, I smell that stuff.

[1:19] What is that stuff you got on? Revelation, chapter 15. Looking at verse 1. And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous.

[1:31] Verse 1. Seven angels having the seven last plagues. For in them is filled up the wrath of God. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire.

[1:45] And them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over his number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the hearts of God.

[1:55] And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty.

[2:07] Just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy.

[2:18] For all nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy judgments are made manifest. And after that I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened, and the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues clothed in pure and white linen, having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

[2:45] And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who liveth forever and ever.

[2:56] And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power. And no man was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

[3:07] Let me pray and we'll start there preaching the Lord willing. Our Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege to pray.

[3:19] Thank you, Lord, for opportunity to speak on your behalf. May we represent you well. Lord, may you hide us, our flesh and our weakness.

[3:30] May you hide us behind the cross. May we lift up Jesus Christ that people can see today that there is a need of saving grace and keeping power from God Almighty.

[3:45] I pray you'd guide our thoughts as we go, that you would control our time, that we say things that would glorify God.

[3:57] I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Now, I just noticed this as I was looking up and studying the words of the text, and I do that quite often.

[4:12] Those vials that these angels had that they poured out, the shape of those vials was the shape of a bottle of aftershave.

[4:27] You take your pick, fat bottom, long skinny neck. Some of them are, a lot of them are manufactured that way, with that long skinny neck.

[4:41] But down in the neck where you can't see, the fat bottom, if you will, I think you took that out to your preacher, the fat bottom actually contained the most of the product.

[4:55] And so don't be fooled by looking at the skinny neck of how much is in there. Now, what we've got here are vials, seven of them, full of the wrath of Almighty God, that's accumulated over time, has been withheld, collected in the bottom of the vial.

[5:17] And here God is going to pour out those vials of wrath on this earth. You see, there's a judicial matter to settle between man and God.

[5:30] There is something that needs to be corrected. Would you agree with that? It'll not be corrected with the November election. I don't care if you vote Bozo the Clown in.

[5:43] In fact, I think that's who you're going to vote in. I don't care who gets the office, it'll not get this controversy settled. For thousands of years, this earth has actually been controlled by Lucifer, the prince of darkness, the prince of the power of the air.

[6:04] Men have been co-regent of rulers of this earth, wicked men, sinful men, unrighteous men, self-righteous, irreverent, atheists, Gentile, and Jew.

[6:18] All of them walk around on God's footstool and breathe His air and pollute His planet with their bad breath. And the wrath of God has been building for centuries and here it's getting ready to be poured out on men all over the world.

[6:39] I have the idea of something like that dam at Buffalo Creek. Whenever the floodwaters commence to pile up behind that dam, that dam could only hold so much.

[6:54] And then whenever it reaches breaking point and the unsuspecting, and you know people of earth are not even suspecting that they are incurring the wrath of God.

[7:07] They don't even have a clue. But the wrath of God has been building up for thousands and thousands of years. God doesn't have to be in a hurry.

[7:18] The old preacher that I used to listen to when I was a boy said, God never came in a rush or a run, but He always made it on time. He wasn't in a hurry, but He always made sure that He had it just exactly, got there just when He planned to get there.

[7:35] Now at the close of this dispensation of grace, there is a seven year period of time that's coming to this world we're going to call the tribulation period.

[7:47] And the purpose of that tribulation is it's a necessary part of cleansing and purifying this planet to get it ready for God to set up His kingdom here.

[8:00] Wouldn't that be great if God's kingdom was actually running this place? It will one day. But about that period of time in the Olivet Discourse, our Lord Jesus Christ Himself said, Then shall there be great tribulation, not since the beginning of the world, no, nor ever shall be.

[8:22] And I think back about all of the problems that I've actually solved. I think about Hitler's Germany and the rise of the Third Reich and all of the wickedness that went on there.

[8:34] Can't compare to the tribulations that's to come. And I think about all of the Inquisition and all of the wickedness of the Dark Ages. Can't compare.

[8:45] Jesus said, I didn't say, Jesus said, Never a time like it in the history of the world or nor indeed will be. The prophets, every one of them from Isaiah to Malachi, look back at this truth and back him up and declare the same.

[9:03] For God is going to pour out His wrath and His vows of wrath on this world. I think about the times of the Gentiles actually started with a king named Nebuchadnezzar.

[9:16] If you remember that, he was the head of gold that God gave the authority when He took it away from the Jew. He gave the authority to the Gentile powers and there's four of them that are primary.

[9:29] I'm not preaching that. But they came into power and since they've came in, we're going to call that the day of man. This is the day that man gets to do what he wants to do.

[9:42] But the day of the Lord is coming. Whenever the Lord is going to be running this show. I think about the old King Saul, the wicked picture of the Antichrist.

[9:56] You know, he's the only other guy that's connected with vows in the Bible. He was anointed. He had that aftershave, if you will, poured out on him to anoint him as the king of Israel.

[10:14] And he had that anointing from a vial. When David was anointed, he was anointed with a horn of a ram full of oil. But this man that was a type of the Antichrist was anointed with a vial.

[10:30] And as you study that through the Bible, he was marked for the wrath of God. What kind of antichrist are you wearing? Are you marked for the wrath of God?

[10:42] Or are you marked for a sweet-smelling savor in the nostrils of God Almighty? The tribulation period is for the Jew to refine him.

[10:53] It's for the Gentile to show him to be a colossal failure. And it's for the church to be a non-entity and be over there in the glory land at that meeting in the air.

[11:04] But the renovation of a house has got to be done. And that renovation starts with the removal of all the rotten wood. Would you agree? Could you imagine if God wanted to renovate this earth, all the rotten wood he'd have to get rid of to set up a righteous kingdom?

[11:22] Amen. Now, you heard that story about the guy that went to heaven. Now, this is just a story. I don't believe it's the way it is.

[11:32] Don't be sad to you preachers. Preaching false doctrine. This guy went to heaven. He meets old Pope Peter at the gate. And Peter said, Well, what we're going to do, we're going to give you a ticket.

[11:43] You can go check out heaven and you can go check out hell. And so he thought, Well, I'll just go check out hell first. He went down there and everybody was shaking his hands like on the back and giving him a big party.

[11:54] And he said, Ain't no point in me checking out heaven. Hell's so good. I'll just tell him I want to go to hell. So he goes back and tells Peter, I want to go to hell. Peter said, That'd be fine.

[12:06] And he puts him in hell. When he gets there, poppy lands down a lake of fire. Everybody's screaming tormented. The devil comes up to him. He said, Wait a minute. I thought this was a party. Well, he said, That was when we was campaigning.

[12:18] You voted for us. Are you listening to me? We have voted. Not me, thank God. And not the Christian people, but the lost people have voted to wear these vials of wrath.

[12:36] They voted to wear this type of aftershave. And he's got to tear down that which is unable to stand that he may be able to replace it with something that won't be able to fall.

[12:49] Thank God. Even the greatest verses in the Bible, John chapter 3, verse 36, says, He that believeth hath everlasting life, but he that believeth not, the wrath of God abides on him.

[13:06] It hasn't been poured out yet, but it's there and it's building and it's building and building and the fragrance of those vials are going to be a surprise to an unsuspecting world.

[13:21] Romans chapter 2, verse 5, the Bible teaches there that man keeps storing up wrath against the day of wrath. He just keeps adding to it and adding to it and one day God is going to pour his wrath out on the earth.

[13:37] You say, well, God really wouldn't do anything drastic, would He? Have you ever looked at Calvary? If you think God is in favor of sin, have you ever looked at His Son whenever His Son was made sin for us?

[13:56] Then God did not hold back His wrath on His only begotten Son and you're thinking that you're going to be able to pay the debt yourself? Man, you haven't got an opportunity to, oh listen, if I could get out of the wrath of God, if I could warn you to flee from the wrath that comes, I would have did a good job preaching to you.

[14:20] Justice came and cried for a payment for sin and there was no worthy man on this earth to be found. So God gave His only begotten Son to pay for my wicked, wicked, godly sin.

[14:35] Thank you Jesus. Thank you for paying my debt. Thank you that an old, lousy sinner like me gets to go to glory because the wrath of God was poured out on the Son of God in my place.

[14:50] God supplied the very best that heaven had. Now I want you to look, remember this analogy of an aftershave or a perfume if you will. Turn with me to the book of Ephesians chapter 5.

[15:03] Ephesians chapter 5. Let's look at verse 2, Ephesians chapter 5 verse 2.

[15:24] Here's an instruction for God's people to walk, how they should walk. It says, And walk in love as Christ also hath loved us and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling Savior.

[15:46] Now you talk about wearing perfume. God supplied the very best that heaven has so that I could smell good in God's sight.

[16:01] Have you ever licked the back of your arm and waited a minute or two and smelled it? I got news for you, pal. Your breath stinks. And that ain't the only thing that stinks about you.

[16:13] Your righteousness stinks. There's nothing about us that's worthy of heaven. But Jesus Christ offered a sweet-smelling savor, a sweet-smelling perfume in the nostrils of Almighty God when He gave Himself on Calvary for you and I.

[16:31] Number one, it said He was an offering. That is a presentation. Look Him over. Can you find a fault with Him? Hey, don't look at me. You'll find faults with me.

[16:42] If I look at you, I'll find faults with you. It's not hard for me to find faults with people who think are perfect. And I'm thinking, here they think they're perfect and I can see faults sticking out all over.

[16:53] It's not hard for me to see them. But when Jesus was presented as a sacrifice, they looked Him over. The Pharisees, they tried to entrap Him. The world tried to entangle Him.

[17:05] The devil tried to tempt Him. But Pilate said, I can't find any fault in Him. When He was presented, there was no fault to be found because you know why they couldn't find any?

[17:17] Because there wasn't any there. That's exactly why they couldn't find. And because He was worthy of the sacrifice, number two, He became the sacrifice.

[17:28] Now if you'll look that up in the references, that means that sacrifice is either number one, the act of slaying, or number two, the victim that was slaying.

[17:39] He became a sacrifice. He became the victim for my sins. Thank you, God. Thank you that He became the sacrifice for my sins.

[17:52] And because, because He had that perfect life, when He was offered as a sweet smell and savor, when He was offered as a sacrifice, thank you, God, that He was totally accepted.

[18:08] And God said, mmm, man, that smells good. You know what I'm talking about? You ever come in on, you ever come in and somebody just cleaned the house and went around and spraying it with all that stuff they got and them little old plug-ins and everything and stick-ups here and there?

[18:25] Mmm, man, this place smells good. You know what I'm saying? When Jesus offered Himself on the cross, the Father in Heaven said, that smells good to me. I accept His fragrance on man's behalf.

[18:39] Christ died for our sins. With rejection, man attempts to say, I'll pay my own bill. And here's your bill. Here's the active shave you're going to get.

[18:52] Here's the perfume you're going to get if you're willing to pay your own bill. A bad bargain. These seven vows aren't nowhere near all of it.

[19:03] They're just kind of like a down payment on it. But that sacrifice of God, we need something that God will accept. And if they burned on you for a thousand years, you'd still stink.

[19:16] In Genesis chapter 8 and verse 21, after Noah had been through the flood and all of that trouble and all of those heartaches were behind him and all of the wicked sinners of this world were dead, he offered that sacrifice and God said, that smells good to me.

[19:34] That's a sweet smelling savor to me. That's just like somebody wearing, and I don't know what expensive perfume or expensive aftershave is.

[19:44] Maybe y'all can ask Clinton a little later, but I had no idea. I generally buy what they got on sale at the drugstore. But what I'm saying is that whenever God saw that sacrifice, it smelled good to him.

[19:58] When Abel offered that blood, it smelled good to God. When Noah offered, it smelled good. But when Jesus gifted the Father with him allowed all of the wrath of God to be poured out on him, that is what really smelled good to God.

[20:17] What you wear. I mean, if the time was up right now, you had to either face God or face hell, which way would you go?

[20:31] It would all depend on how you smelled in God's nostrils. Would you be a stench in his nostrils or would you be a sweet smelling savor? It all depends on what you're wearing. Amen.

[20:42] You might need cleaned up a little bit. The blood does that and makes you presentable in the sight of God. The seven year tribulation that we're preaching about, it's in two parts.

[20:53] And the first three and a half years is actually the part where man is willing to accept the Antichrist. Swallows the devil's life. Just like, I remember back in the 50s whenever we used to have a Sunday school picnics and they'd meet around there in the Smith Holler, we called it, and they're on that party-like atmosphere.

[21:20] Us kids, it didn't get a whole lot. You know what I believe? I believe that kids get more in a week today than we got in a year. Now, and I'm the generation that got it made, but I'm telling you that we didn't get it like you get it.

[21:36] You drink more pop in a day than I got to drink in a year, probably. Glug, glug, glug. But, come July the 4th, y'all remember that? They'd have them old church picnics and they'd go around there and they'd make that ice cold lemonade and it was just, you'd go up there and he'd say, here's you a cup and you'd drink it down and you'd come up, he'd say, here's you another cup and just glug, glug, glug.

[22:00] I drank lemonade until I started being a lemon tree. They come and told me, he said, you better watch if you swallow them seeds, there'll be a lemon tree grow out of your mouth. And so I said, well, I better not drink any more lemonade.

[22:12] But what I'm saying is the people of this world have drank in the devil's lie just like we used to drink that lemonade in the 50s. Don't drink it.

[22:24] Don't drink aftershave. Amen. Don't drink the devil's aftershave, that's for sure. The second half of the tribulation, those who drank the devil's lie will have to drink the wine of the wrath of Almighty God.

[22:38] The drink of severity. Seven vials. Seven angels. Each angel, and it's the next chapter, but it's fine, I'll go ahead and preach a little bit of it. Each angel had his own particular pledge that he was going to pour out.

[22:53] Each vial poured out in an elected way specific to his time and to his cause. I'm glad the saints of God are in the glory land at that time. But they stand before God's throne on a glassy sea.

[23:07] Isn't that what I read there in verse 1? Standing there, the sea down here is unstable, but the sea up there just as solid as it can be.

[23:18] It's fixed as though it were glass. Verse 1, John saw another angel beside, or a wonder beside that wonder of the woman and the dragon that he saw in the previous chapters.

[23:30] And he stood in awe of the angels. Now, man's idea is kind of like, angels are kind of like that story we have at Christmas time.

[23:41] You remember this guy, Jimmy, not Jimmy Swaggart, Jimmy Stewart. Yeah, Jimmy Stewart. He slides down this hill and he slides in a creek and drowns.

[23:56] Have you all saw that? Another light. And so this angel comes along, picks him up and gives him another opportunity. We got the idea that angels are like these little old cushy type fellas that take up for us.

[24:11] I can show you in this book of God where one angel in one night destroyed a hundred and eighty five thousand soldiers. Angels, administers of the judgment of Almighty God, girded with gold, according to verse 6.

[24:33] So they're gold being a symbol of deity. They're not on their own mission. They're under the control and the restraint of Almighty God.

[24:44] It's not a personal retaliation, but they are under direct command of God Almighty to pour these vows out and the intercession has ceased.

[24:55] Psalm 75, 7, there is a cup in the hand of the Lord and the wicked will drink it. Now, I'm not going to preach about those vows, but I just want to give you just a few things about them.

[25:07] Number one, there's a vow, the first vow that's poured out, there's a noisome sore that falls on men. When you study that through the Bible, I think I can identify the sore that falls on them.

[25:21] I think it's leprosy. Whenever they are hit with that sore, I don't know whether it's going to be from radioactive fallout, but there is some kind of a sore that gets on their body that is a noisome sore starting with a spot, if you will, just keeps eating at them and eating at them.

[25:43] That's vow number one. I'm glad that I'm not going to be hit. I'm glad that I don't have to go through that leprosy type thing. Second vow and the third vow, water is turned to blood.

[25:58] The salt water first and then the fresh water. This week down on Campbell's Creek where I live, one night the water company was working on our water. We went to the spigot and didn't have any.

[26:09] Turned it on and there wasn't any water. You'd be surprised how much you like water when you haven't got any. How would you like to go to the spigot and turn the water on and instead of getting water you'd get blood?

[26:24] That day's coming. That day's coming when all of those that are in the sea will be drowned, but they won't be drowned in water. They'll be drowned in blood.

[26:34] You go down to the store to buy you a case of bottled water and you pull it off the shelf and instead of water there's that red color. You take the lid off of it and drink it.

[26:47] Blood makes me sick. I've had my nose been bleeding this week probably because of allergies and I swallow that. I hope this makes you sick.

[26:58] But I swallow that trying to get my nose stopped for bleeding and next thing I know I'm wanting to throw up. I don't want no glass of blood. There ain't no vampire in me. I'm telling you I don't want to suck your blood.

[27:10] I don't want to suck no animal blood. I don't want no blood pudding and I certainly don't want no blood coming out of the spigot when I go to get me a drink. But when this angel pours out his vial the water is turned to blood.

[27:24] The fourth vial is global warming. I figure Al Gore will be around to see it. The fifth vial is global cooling.

[27:35] Won't that be a surprise? And then the sixth vial I don't know who this dude is Genghis Khan or somebody gets turned loose from the east and comes over there with these thousands of marauding soldiers.

[27:48] And then in the in the seventh vial the finishing judgment of God. I want you to look let's go back to Revelation and let's look at chapter 16 if you'll let me go ahead that far and look at verse 21.

[28:04] Revelation chapter 16 verse 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven every stone about the weight of a talent they tell me that's a hundred pounds.

[28:17] I'd hate to get hit with a hundred pound hail stone wouldn't you? And men blasphemed God. You would think that that would correct them but it doesn't.

[28:30] Listen if you can't get saved in this dispensation of grace whenever God's extended His mercy to you you are not going to get saved that day you're going to just end up blaspheming Almighty God.

[28:46] Blaspheme God because of the plague of the hail for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Now on the glassy sea back in chapter 15 stand the saints of God and they're standing there in victory while the captives of earth are bowing down to the beast and the antichrist the children of God are standing there in victory and look at verse 2 I don't want you to tell some denominations they don't want musical instruments in church house but we're going to have them in heaven man amen I think I'm going to get me one of them to play I'll probably be able to play and sing amen they sing picking and grinning right there in the glory lane singing the praises of God singing this refrain the word refrain have you ever heard that chorus hello okay some of you musically inclined not you musically challenged but you musically inclined here is the definition of a refrain or a chorus it means the burden of the song in other words what the song is all about and here's what the song is all about it's about victory amen it talks about

[30:16] Moses with victory at the Red Sea victory on the earth but it talks about the saints of God with victory on the glassy sea and victory in the glory lane excuse me let me get me a drink the burden of the song the refrain of that song is victory in Jesus my savior forever he's gave me the victory he gave Moses an earthly victory but he gave me a heavenly victory provided everything now we have that victory because Jesus drank the cup of the wrath of God the very things that are spoken of as poured out here Jesus has already taken in our place provided everything that we need he gave us a wedding garment to put on he gave us the aftershave that we can wear and whenever we put that on stand on that glassy sea whenever we sing that song

[31:44] I'm redeemed by the blood of the Lamb what a wonderful day that will be but I would ask you this what's that aftershave you wear have you got one on that was provided by the man that's running the wedding supper or if you got the aftershave of your own making I think there's a fly in ointment I think it makes the apothecary to send forth a stinking savior that's what I think but I think if you're covered by the blood of Jesus Christ God says hell's good to me let's bow for prayer through the
