[0:00] Hi everyone, I'm reading from Psalm 25 today. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

[0:12] O my God, in you I trust. Let me not be put to shame. Let not my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame.

[0:24] They shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Make me to know your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me.

[0:37] For you are the God of my salvation. For you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love. For they have been from of old.

[0:50] Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions. According to your steadfast love, remember me. For the sake of your goodness, O Lord. Good and upright is the Lord.

[1:03] Therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble his way. All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness.

[1:15] For those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great. Who is the man who fears the Lord?

[1:27] He will instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him.

[1:39] And he makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

[1:52] The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Bring me out of my distresses. Consider my affliction and my trouble and forgive all my sins. Consider how many are my foes and with what violent hatred they hate me.

[2:08] O guard my soul and deliver me. Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.

[2:20] Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. Thank you.

[2:53] My daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren are here too. And other visitors as well. Now today, from Psalm 25, I would like to talk about the topic of shame.

[3:06] One part of shame that I would not be talking about is that most of us, in many things that we do, are motivated by this sense of shame. If we may be subconscious.

[3:19] Especially if, when we are young, our parents or adults who told us that we were useless, many of us, because we don't want to have this identity as a useless person, we work very hard.

[3:36] And we want to have titles. We want to have brand name cars and all those things. These are a lot of things that we do are motivated by this sense of shame.

[3:47] Even though we may not think about it. But we do it because we don't want to be looked down by people. But I won't mention much about this on this talk today.

[3:58] We'll pray first anyway. Almighty God, you are good and upright.

[4:11] And therefore, you will instruct sinners in the way. Father, we come before you today asking that you may make us know your ways, teach us your path, and lead us in your truth and teach us.

[4:25] For you are the God of our salvation. For you we wait all the day long. Thank you, Lord. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. About 10 days ago, you will have seen from the news, there were about more than 500 mourners attended a funeral service for the little girl, Charlotte O'Brien.

[4:50] She committed suicide about four weeks ago. Only 12 years old. And it made, I mean, become a big news.

[5:03] I suppose most of us will know about it. Even SBS broadcasted that because SBS usually only deals with woe news, but because of the significance to broadcast it.

[5:16] Why was it so shocking or so, we want to know so much about this problem in terms of, because this is a child who committed suicide.

[5:29] And it forced us to ask the question in our society, what happened to the society? What caused a 12-year-old wanting to end her life and knowing how to do it as well?

[5:41] What has happened to our society? And there's a question that we need to ask ourselves. Apparently, this girl was a subject of bullying for a number of years from her school.

[5:58] And we know that for someone who has been under humiliation for a long period of time and with no support, then this person will feel quite lonely and hopeless.

[6:14] And also, she will feel that her life was not worth living. So, we are not surprised that there are bullies going on in school.

[6:29] But we should be dismayed that she seemed to have suffered this alone. How could that be? There are more than 500 mourners who attended the funeral service.

[6:41] Didn't she talk to any adults before this? What happened to her? What happened to the society as a whole? So, I suppose there are three possibilities.

[6:55] That she might have talked to someone, but she was not hurt. The adults may think the adults are too busy, or they think that she wasn't serious, or didn't take her seriously.

[7:08] Or she was given... The second reason is that she might have been given unhelpful advice. You know, our world only knows how to deal with harassment by revenging it.

[7:22] You fight for your right. You stand up for it. But if she couldn't do it, what else can she do?

[7:33] If she wanted to fight for her right, but she couldn't. Or nobody would take her seriously. Or nobody would stand for her. So, the third reason is that she might not have talked, actually.

[7:47] Sometimes it's very hard to talk things that we feel shameful about. Because it's like a wound you want to open up to people. And so, sometimes it's hard to talk about it. Or sometimes even the harassment itself is hard to talk about.

[8:01] Because the harassment may not be quite obvious. It could be subtle. Like gossiping behind someone. Calling people's names as Don Fed.

[8:12] Or just preventing people from making friends with someone. All these things. Sometimes it's just hard to describe.

[8:22] You know that you are being harassed. But it's hard to talk. So, for all these reasons that could have led to her suicide.

[8:35] We know that suffering is unavoidable in this fallen world. But I hope that, at least among us in the church, that none of us should suffer alone.

[8:47] And I hope that each of us will have someone to talk to. Why would they trouble us? And also, we can look out for one another and listen to people and take them seriously as well.

[9:02] So, today, from Psalm 25, we have come to a person who has been overwhelmed by this sense of shame.

[9:14] And we can see that in his opening address to God. He said, So, if you can put the emotion in it, we can see that he's quite desperate.

[9:41] And he's desperate and also lonely. And in verse 16, he says, Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

[9:52] Why is it lonely even when he's praying? Because God has not seemed to have answered his prayer for a while.

[10:03] And he wasn't sure whether God was listening to him. And definitely, there wasn't anyone who would listen, he could talk with for this person.

[10:14] So, for today's talk, I would like to talk a bit, just a bit about shame. And then explain why King David was experiencing shame.

[10:26] And what he did about that with it. And then what God did with his shame. And then what we can do to cope with shame as well.

[10:38] Before we go there, first of all, I would like to have some idea how this time is written. Because you can see that it's a bit, sometimes it's a bit disjoined.

[10:48] Because in verse 2 and 3, he talk about shame. And then towards the end, verse 20, he talk about shame as well. And then in verses 7 and 11 and 18, he talk about guilt.

[11:03] So, he seems to be jumping a bit around. Why is that so? There are two reasons. One is that this psalm was written in the Jewish alphabetical order.

[11:16] So, there are 22 alphabets in Jewish alphabets. There are 22 verses. But they're not exactly following the order that I need to mention.

[11:28] At least, I think David only used 20 of the 22 alphabets. So, there are some repetitions there. But it's written in this way so that it could be memorized easily by the readers.

[11:45] There's one reason. And the other reason is the Jewish habit or convention of them writing a poem or psalm is they start with a presentation of their problem.

[11:56] And then they go to the pig when they meet with God. And then there's a deliberation with God. And then there's a resolution and that's coming down.

[12:09] And during the resolution phase, they mention about what worried them as well at the beginning. But with some assurance. That's why there's a repetition there too.

[12:21] And that's how psalms are written. Right? So, we talk about shame first. What is shame? So, shame is what we feel when we are humiliated.

[12:35] It is quite closely related to guilt. But they are not the same. Shame is related more to the perception.

[12:47] A perception of ourselves in comparison to other people. Like if I feel that I am less smart or less attractive.

[12:59] Or feel that I am impure compared to other people. Then that brings on that sense of shame. Guilt is to do with behavior.

[13:09] When we have broken a rule or disobey an order. There is that sense of guilt. So, shame is more to do with who we are.

[13:21] And guilt is more to do with what we have done. So, to take an example. For those of you who are still in school.

[13:32] I suppose in school, if we don't do well in exam. Then it's possible that we might be shamed by our classmates. Because we are in the bottom of the class.

[13:46] So, to avoid this shame. Then we might cheat in exam. So, when we cheat in exam. Then we are breaking a law or rule.

[13:59] But because nobody knows that we are cheating in exam. So, it's easier for us to bear. So long as we don't get shamed by our friends.

[14:12] However, if I cheat in exam and I got found out. Then I will have both guilt and shame together. Because I will be guilty of breaking a law.

[14:26] And then I will be ashamed. Because people would look down on me. Both because I didn't do well in exam. Secondly, because I cheated in exam. And so, there is that difference between guilt and shame.

[14:41] Because shame is a perception of oneself. So, it's possible for us to convince somebody. And make her a shame.

[14:51] Like, if many people would call you a fool. Or call you a loser. Then eventually.

[15:03] Even though I may not be a fool or a loser. But if there are enough people telling me that. Eventually, it will make me feel shame. In some stage. Which is different to guilt.

[15:14] Because I can't make you feel guilty. If you haven't done anything wrong. But I can make you feel shameful. If I am convincing enough. Or with some help.

[15:25] With the help of other people. Shame has been present for. I mean, since the beginning of the history of mankind. In chapter 3 of Genesis. We saw that Adam and Eve.

[15:39] Felt ashamed of themselves. After they have eaten the fruit. From the tree of the knowledge. Of good and evil. They should be feeling guilty.

[15:49] Because they have broken God's rule. But what chapter 3 of Genesis. Towards is that they felt shame. And they then put clothes on themselves. To cover up.

[16:00] I suppose because they. They realized that. They were not perfect. They could cheat. Or they could be treacherous. And so there is that sense of shame.

[16:13] That has been present. Ever since. That time. Especially when we face God. A holy God. Now. While Adam and Eve's shame.

[16:25] Is caused by their. Sense of imperfection. Or the sense of. Being not. What God asked.

[16:35] Created them to be. The shame. That in chapter. Psalm 25. That David. That David. Is mentioning. Is mostly about. Shame.

[16:46] That is enforced. Upon him. By his enemies. Yes. He does. He did have guilt. That bring him. Make him feel ashamed. To face God.

[16:59] And that. Is implied. When he. Asks God. For forgiveness. But. What. What. Concerned him. In. In. Psalm 25.

[17:10] Is that. Shame. That has been. Caused by. His enemies. And. And so. We can. See his. Request. For God.

[17:20] To. Let. Let not. Let not. My enemies. Exude over me. And. They shall be ashamed. Who are wantonly treacherous. So. He. He. Is asking God.

[17:33] To. Take away his shame. In that. Why. Why was he. Experiencing this. This shame though. He. He was the. Anointed king.

[17:45] Of Israel. I mean. He is the. The top person. But. This guy. Quite. Unusual. Thing happened. Because.

[17:55] After he. For two periods. He was. A fugitive. Firstly. After he was. Anointed. King. To. To take over. King Saul.

[18:07] When. King Saul. Knew about it. He started. To persecute. David. Because. King Saul. Wanted to hold on. To the throne. For himself.

[18:17] And his. Descendants. And so. David. Started to. To run. Away. Like a fugitive. Because he was. Still young.

[18:28] At the time. And he. Didn't have much. Power. But there. A bunch of followers. Who will follow him. So he. Ran around. Live in cave.

[18:39] Or even. Pretended to be. A madman. So a lot of those things. Actually quite shameful. For. Someone. Supposed to be the king. So.

[18:51] This first period. Lasted about. Ten years. So it's a long time. He would pray. And then he. At. About age 30. He became the. Eventually. He became the king.

[19:02] To take over. King Saul. King Saul was killed. In the battle. He didn't kill. King Saul. But. King Saul. Killed by their. Own enemies. After he became the king. I'm not sure. How many years.

[19:13] Then his. Son. Absalom. Rebelled against him. Absalom. Stole the heart. Of the people. Israel. And took over. The kingdom. David could have.

[19:24] Fight. For it. Again. David didn't want to fight. So he. He ran away. And. Again. Live as a. Fugitive. For. For a short time.

[19:36] For this time. So. For this. Two period of time. At least. Then. That is. When. That's where David. Was. Experiencing. Shame. Because of the.

[19:47] Enemy's. Persecution. We can. Imagine. When he ran around. His enemies. Would tease him. And say. Where is your God now?

[19:58] Where is your God. That you. You trusted. And. David. He feel. He feel. I. I. I mean. I trusted God. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why.

[20:09] Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Why. Am I. Not the one. Who. Supposed to. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. May. So.

[20:20] David. Has got. Two. Shams. That he's. Mentioning. Here. One. Is the. The. Present. Shame. That is. When he's. Running around. Like a. Criminal. Even though.

[20:31] He didn't. Actually. Do anything. Wrong. To deserve it. Is. And. Being treated. Like a criminal. Second. Sound of. Shame. That he's. Facing. Is a. Future.

[20:41] Shame. That is. The. Shame. That. He. Will. Fear. The. God. He. Trusted. If. God. The. The. God. He. Trusted. Did.

[20:51] Did. Not. Protect. Him. Or. Save. Him. So. If. That. That. One. Hasn't. Happened. Yet. But. He's. He's. Just. Waiting. And. See. Whether. His. Enemy. Would.

[21:02] Would. Would. Would. Kill. Him. Or. Capture. Him. If. That. Happens. Then. There's. The. Future. Shame. That. Will. Come. Through. That. Means. You. Trusted. The.

[21:13] Wrong. The. Wrong. God. You. Trusted. The. Wrong. Person. You. Should. Have. Fight. For. It. I. I. Mean. David. Did. Not. Fight. In. Both. Time. Because.

[21:23] He. Trusted. God. Time. And. God. Working. Out. His. Plan. And. So. If. God. Failed. Him. That. Means. He. Would. Be. Ashamed. Of.

[21:33] What. He. He. Trusted. The. Wrong. Person. We. Might. Ask. Why. Why. Did. David. Let. His. Enemies. Tease.

[21:46] Him. In. Such. A. Way. That. He. Became. Ashamed. Just. Like. At school. If. You. Get. Bullied.

[21:57] Why. Do. People. Get. So. Upset. By. Why. Why. Couldn't. They. Just. Ignore. I mean. What. Their. Enemies. Say. That.

[22:09] Is. There. Quite. A. Number. Of. Reasons. One. Is. If. There. Enough. People. Talk. About. You. And. Telling. You. You. A. Loser. Yep.

[22:20] Then. You. Might. Eventually. Influence. You. Like. David. Not only. The. Enemies. His. Friends. Become. Treacherous. And. Repel. And. Betray. Him. So.

[22:32] If. Like. If. You. Not only. At school. At home. As well. You. Get. Called. Loser. Then. You. Think. That. You. Are. A. Loser. So.

[22:42] And. That. Bring. On. The. Sense. Of. Shame. And. If. There. There. Nobody. Standing. Up. For. You. Like. For. King. David. Even. His. Friends. Didn't. Understand. He.

[22:53] Got. A. Chance. To. Kill. King. So. While. He. Was. Running. But. He. Didn't. Want. To. Kill. So. They. Didn't. Understand. Why. David. Wanted. To. Do. That. And. If. People. Don't. Understand. What. You. Are. Going.

[23:03] Through. Then. You. Feel. Quite. Lonely. And. Start. To. Doubt. Whether. What. People. Say. Are. True. And. Then. There.

[23:14] There. He.

[23:24] Is. Quite. Sentimental. In. That. Way. He. He. Did. Not. Want. To. Kill. Or. Harm. His. Friends. And. Family. Even. When. Absalom. Rebelled. Against. Him. He.

[23:35] Did. Not. He. Did. Not. Want. To. Kill. Absalom. His. General. Was. Quite. Frustrated. With. David. Attitude. In. That. So. What. The. Enemy. Say. There. Some. Truth.

[23:45] In. It. So. When. You. Think. About. It. And. People. Bullie. Us. When. You. Think. About. It. The. Bullies. May. Have. Some. Truth. In. What. They. Say. As. Well. And. That. Confirm. What. We. Think.

[23:55] About. Ourself. So. All. For. All. This. Reasons. So. That. Why. David. Was. So. Affected. By. This. Sense. Of. Shame. But. What.

[24:05] Did. He. Do. About. With. This. Shame. For. For. David. We. Can. See. That. In. Psalm. 25. He. First. Of. All. He. He.

[24:16] He. He. He. Brought. It. Before. The. Before. God. And. Ask. God. Let him. Not. To. Be. Put. To. Shame. And. He. Reassured. Himself. That. None.

[24:26] None. Who. Wait. For. For. God. Shall. Be. Put. To. Shame. So. He. He. Bring. Bring. This. Before. God. And. He. Assured. Himself. That. He.

[24:37] Shouldn't. Be. Feeling. Shame. Though. He. Going. Through. It. And. Secondly. When. He. Come.

[24:48] Before. God. There. Is. Also. A. Sense. Of. Shame. On. David. In. Facing. God. It. What. Matt. Han. Has. Mentioned. Just. Now. For. His. Adultery.

[24:59] And. Murder. So. David. Knew. That. He. He. Is. Not. Perfect. I. Mean. Compared. To. His. Enemies. He. Could. Be. A. Bit. Better. I. Not. Sure. But. David. Knew. That. He. Could. Not.

[25:10] Actually. Face. God. So. Freely. Just. Like. Adam. And. Eve. They. Couldn't. Face. God. Freely. Because. They. Have. Broken.

[25:21] God's. Order. And. So. In. Here. We. See. That. David. Ask. God. To. Remember. His. Mercy. Remember. Remember.

[25:31] Your. Mercy. O. Lord. And. Your. Stepfast. Love. For. They. Have. Been. From. Old. And. Then. He. Said. Remember.

[25:42] Not. The. Sins. Of. My. Youth. Or. My. Transgressions. According. To. Your. Stepfast. Love. Remember. Me. For. The. Sins. Your. Goodness. You.

[25:53] See. David. Can. Come. Before. God. Because. He. Have. A. Good. Understanding. Of. God. He. He. Knew. He. Knew. That. God's. Mercy. Is.

[26:04] Much. More. Than. His. Sin. And. God. Stepfast. Love. Is. When. God. Has. Anointed. Him. As. A. King. He. God. Will. Look. After. Him. And. Be. Faithful. To.

[26:14] Him. And. So. All. This. Reassure. David. And. So. By. The. Middle. Of. The. Psalm. We. Can. See. That. He. He. Get. Reassured.

[26:27] He. Said. For. Your. Name. Say. O. Lord. Pardon. My. Guilt. For. It. Is. Great. You. Know. That. He.

[26:40] Will. He. Instruct. In. The. Way. That. He. Should. Choose. So. Because. He. Fear. God. He. Know. That. God. Will. Instruct. Him. In. The. Way. He. Should. Choose. He. Choose. Not. To. Fight. He. Choose. He.

[26:51] Choose. To. Wait. For. God's. timing. And. That. reassured. Him. And. And. That. As. He. He. Said. My. Eyes. Are.

[27:02] Ever. Towards. The. Lord. For. He. Will. Pluck. My. Feet. Out. The. Net. So. All. This. In. The. Middle. of. Psalm. That. As. He. He. He. He. He. God. That. Gave. Him. The. Reassurance.

[27:13] And. So. At. The. End. He. Can. Go. Away. More. Reassured. Even. Though. His. Trouble. Is. Not. Over. It. Is. He. Is. Still. Under. Persecution.

[27:24] But. His. Heart. Is. Is. More. At. Peace. And. What. Did. God. Actually. Do. With. This. Shame. We. We. Know. That. For.

[27:35] David. Eventually. He. Get. Restored. As. A. King. And. He. Continued. To. Be. Faithful. To. God. And. He. He. Live. To. The. Fullness. But.

[27:52] More. So. Even. Though. David. Did. Not. Understand. I mean. Why. He. Needed. To. Suffer. This. Shame. And. Why. It. Took. So. Long. For. God. To.

[28:03] Resolve. The. Problem. But. We. We. Look. Back. We. Understand. Because. David. Was. A. Picture. Of. What. Was. To. Come. David. Is.

[28:14] The. King. Of. Israel. But. He. Is. He. Is. Living. Out. A. Prophecy. Of. Someone. Much. Greater. Than. Himself. The. The. Real. King. Who. Was.

[28:24] To. Come. And. He. Is. Living. Up. The. Life. Of. The. Lord. Jesus. Christ. In. Some. Small. Way. And. So. Psalm. 25. Actually. Tells. Us. More.

[28:35] About. What. The. Lord. Jesus. Himself. Went. Went. Through. On. This. Earth. And. Also. This. Is. The. Prayer. Of. The. Lord.

[28:45] Himself. We. Know. That. As. Don. Has. Said. When. Jesus. Came. He. Was. The. Perfect. Man. But.

[28:56] Yet. He. Got. Persecuted. He. Got. Bullied. By. The. People. The. Religious. Leader. Of. His. Time. And. They.

[29:09] Teased. Him. As. Well. They. Put. On. The. Cross. He. Was. Hung. There. Naked. And. That. Shamed. And. They. They.

[29:20] Mock. Him. And. Said. If. If. You. Are. The. Son. Of. God. Why. Don't. You. Come. Down. From. The. Cross. So. They. Said. All. Sorts. Of. Things.

[29:30] Just. Because. Nobody. Would. Understand. What. Is. Very. Lonely. As. Well.

[29:41] Even. His. Disciples. Did. Did. Not. Know. Why. Jesus. Needed. To. Go. To. The. Cross. And. On. The. Cross. His. Father. Turned. Away.

[29:51] His. Face. God. Turn. Away. The. Face. From. Him. Because. He. Sparing. The. Sin. Of. The. World. So. That. When. He. He. Was.

[30:02] Surely. The. Most. Lonely. And. For. Us. As. Well. In. In. Isaiah 53. Verse 4. It. Says. That. Surely. He.

[30:13] Has. Born. Our. Grief. And. Carried. Our. Sorrows. Yet. We. Existing. Him. Stricken. Smitten. By. God. And.

[30:23] Afflicted. As. He. Was. Bearing. Our. Sorrows. Our. Grief. Our. Sins.

[30:33] On. The. Cross. Yet. The. People. The. World. Thought. That. He. He. Was. Being. Punished. By. God. At. The. Same. Time. And.

[30:45] And. So. Psalm. 25. Is. For. What. The. Lord. Jesus. Has. Gone. Gone. Through. And. Also.

[30:59] Why. He. Gone. Through. That. Suffering. Because. The. World. Is. Sinful. And. We. Could. Not. Tolerate.

[31:11] A. Perfect. Man. And. We. Use. Pain. And. Shame. To. Punish. Him. And. Paradoxically.

[31:21] This. Pain. And. Shame. Is. What. We. Are. Supposed. To. Suffer. In. The. Hand. Of. The. Holy. God. But. The. Lord. Jesus. Has. Born. That. On.

[31:32] The. Cross. For. Us. Why. Did. He. Do. That. Hebrews. 12. 2. Says. That. For. The. Joy.

[31:44] That. Is. Before. Him. Because. He. Has. Something. Much. Bigger. In. Mind. For. The. Joy. Days. To. Come. He. Endure. The. Cross. And. And. Despise. The. Shame.

[31:55] He. Need. To. Despise. The. Shame. It. Is. Very. Shameful. To. Be. Hung. There. Naked. And. Now. He. Sitted. On. The. Right. Hand. Of. The. Front. Of. God. In.

[32:05] Heaven. We. We. Thank. God. For. Such. A. Savior. That. We. Have. Because. The.

[32:17] Lord. Has. Done. This. For. Us. The. Lord. Has. Done. This. For. Me. Even. If. People. Call. Me. A. Loser. It. Doesn't. Matter.

[32:27] Anymore. Because. I. Know. That. I. I. A. Loser. I. Need. The. Lord. To. Save. Me. So. It's. Okay. People. Call. Me. Loser. I. Worse. Than. What. People. Have. Call.

[32:37] Me. In. God. Eyes. God. Still. Love. Me. And. Gave. His. Life. For. Me. So. It. Doesn't. Care. It. Doesn't. Affect. Me. As. Much.

[32:48] And. Also. Because. God. Has. Forgiven. Me. In. Christ. On. The. Cross. I. Can. Also. Forgive. People. Who. Bully. Me. As. Well.

[32:59] And. So. On. The. Cross. We. Can. Face. Bully. Or. Shame. Without. Needing. To. To. To. Give. Out. Because.

[33:09] We. Know. That. This. Is. The. Way. That. God. Work. Out. His. Plan. Is. In. The. Cross. In. Weakness. In. Foolishness. The. World. Would. Think.

[33:19] That. You. Need. To. Be. Strong. Need. To. Be. A. Bully. To. Be. Somebody. But. In. God's. Eye. Is. That. We. Need. To. Be. Be. Be. And. Humble. To.

[33:30] Be. God's. Children. Even. Knowing. That. Sometimes. We. Still. Have. Difficulty. Dealing. With. Shame. And. Bully. What. Else. Can. We.

[33:40] Do. I. Think. There. Is. Three. Ways. We. Can. Face. Problems. With. Shame. And.

[33:51] Bully. One. Is. Like. The. Song. Say. Turn. Our. Eyes. To. The. Lord. Jesus. Christ. Turn. To. Him. And. Think. Why. Why. Did. The. Lord. Suffer. On. The. Cross.

[34:02] As. I. Said. Because. There. Something. Bigger. That. He. Had. In. Mind. There. Is. A. Joy. There. To. Come. If. We. Have. Something. Bigger. To. Live. For. Then.

[34:12] Small. Things. Like. Bullies. Doesn't. Affect. As. Things.

[34:24] We. Need. To. Live. For. God. If. We. Turn. Our. Eyes. To. The. Lord. Jesus. Christ. Who. Is. Willing. To. Suffer. Then. We. Would. Be. Will. To. Suffer. As.

[34:35] Well. Secondly. We. Can. Turn. To. Someone. Who. Care. And. I. Hope. That. Like. In. The. Church. We. Can. Someone. To. To.

[34:46] Talk. To. To. With. Our. Problems. Jesus. Did. Not. Have. Someone. To. Talk. To. Even. King. David. Didn't. Have. Someone. To. Talk. To. Because. They.

[34:56] Were. Kings. They. Were. Called. To. Be. Kings. So. They. Have. Very. Specific. Responsibility. And. Mission. And. At. That. Stage. Some. Some. Things. They.

[35:06] Can't. Talk. With. Somebody. Who. Are. Not. In. That. Position. Because. You. Could. Understand. But. Not. Many. Of. Us. Are. Called. To. To. Be. Kings. In. Here. And. So. We. Should. Be. Able.

[35:16] To. Find. Someone. To. Talk. To. About. Our. Problems. And. I. Think. If. We. The. Other. Thing. Will. Be. There. If. We. Are. The. Listener. Of.

[35:26] Somebody. Problem. I. Hope. That. We. Can. Pay. Attention. And. Think. About. It. And. Try. Not. To. Take. Things. So. Lightly. What. People. Tell.

[35:37] Us. So. Turn. To. Somebody. Who. Whom. You. Can. Talk. To. Then. The. Third. Levy. Is. To. Turn. To. Psalms. Like. Psalm. 25. King. David.

[35:47] Pray. Jesus. Pray. And. We. Can. Pray. As. Well. How. Do. We. Pray. Sometimes. It. Is. Hard. For. Us. To. Pray. But. Psalm. 25. Or. Any. Other. Psalm. Will.

[35:58] Give. Us. Help. As. We. Pray. Through. Them. And. In. Fact. Psalms. Are. Very. Good. Helping. Us. How. To. Pray. We. Usually. Pray. For. Very. Little. Things.

[36:09] A. Good. Car. Or. A. Job. In.

[36:21] Christ. Our. Identity. In. This. World. Whether. We. Have. A. Hope. In. Us. So. It. Is. Good. That. We. Can. Turn. To. The. Psalms. To.

[36:31] So. So. The. Psalm. Psalm. 25. Ends. With. Redeem. Israel. Oh. God. Out of. All. His. Troubles. And. That. Give. Us.

[36:42] The. Hope. That. One. Day. God. Will. Redeem. His. People. Completely. And. Fully. And. There. Won't. Be. Any. More. Tears. And. So. Even. When. We.

[36:52] Go. Through. Sufferings. We. Have. This. Hope. That. One. Day. It. Will. Come. And. For. Those. Who. To. Wait. Upon. The. Lord. We. Will. Not. Be. Put. To. Shame.

[37:03] Let. Us. Pray. Father. God. We. Thank. We.

[37:15] Might. Go. Through. Many. Troubles. We. Know. That. We. Do. Not. Need. To. Be. Afraid. Or. Being. Hopeless. May.

[37:26] You. Wait. Our. Hearts. To. Teach. Us. Your. Ways. To. Know. That. It. It. Through. Weakness. And. Foolishness. In. In. The. Eyes. Of. The. World. We. Accomplish. Your. Plans.

[37:37] Thank. You. Lord. We. Pray. In. Jesus. Name. Amen.
