Built Up On The Word Of Grace

[0:32] There are some things it's easier to say to sons. There are things you can communicate with a son. A son there is not necessarily male or female.

[0:45] It's like you are someone who is ready to be fathered. Okay? Fatherhood means something is coming from someone.

[0:56] So you are being birthed into something. Now there are some things you cannot give to everybody. You only give to sons. There are certain conversations that you can't have with everybody.

[1:11] Many people, great people, don't tell you their secrets and their weaknesses. They only tell their sons. Yeah.

[1:22] There are things you can tell, you can say to a son. He said, You, therefore, my son. Listen. Hmm.

[1:35] Let me go off and come back. Is it okay? Yes. Yes. Bible says that, I commend you to God. I commend you to God and to the word of his grace.

[1:50] Acts chapter 20, verse 32. I commend you to God and to the word of his grace. And what did he say about this grace thing?

[2:02] It's coming in a lot. The word, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace. Which is the word of his grace is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance amongst the saints.

[2:19] Inheritance are not bought. You don't train for inheritance. Your inheritance is based on who your father is or which family you are part of. Once you hear inheritance, you are talking about family.

[2:34] Yeah. When I saw your father, I knew he must be an imbanyan because if he's your father, he's an imbanyan. Because the name is not for you.

[2:45] It came from him. Your second name is supposed to be an inheritance. Yeah. So, inheritance comes from family.

[2:57] And it says, the word of God is able, one, to build you up. to build you up. If you are not built up, you will last in life.

[3:09] Because life comes with all kinds of sharp turns and complications and difficulties and setbacks and frustrations. How many of us have ever been frustrated? Yeah.

[3:20] Life comes with all kinds of frustrations. And sometimes it's no respect of age. Some of you, some of the things you have been through, you've been through more than some adults have been through.

[3:32] And it looks like it's not fair. Listen, never go about in life and be upset because life is not fair. Life is never fair.

[3:45] Yeah. Life is not fair. Life is not. Why is it that your mother went through what she went through? Why is it that your father went through what she, why is it that your brother is sick?

[3:57] Why is it that your family is poor? Listen, if you focus on that, you will never progress in life. The Bible says that the, the field, the proceeds, the benefits, the blessings of the field is for all.

[4:15] I think Ecclesiastes chapter 5 verse 9 or so. It says that the, the, um, moreover, the profit of the land is for all. Yeah.

[4:26] If you work hard, even the king is saved by, so if you work hard, you'll get it. Now, he says that the word of God is able to build you up.

[4:40] You can carry some things if you are not built up. You want to build up? This one, there is a spiritual gym that builds you up for life.

[4:53] is called the word of God. I commend you to the word of God which is able to build you up so when storms of life come, you'll still be standing.

[5:09] The word of God, you need to be built up, guys. You need to be built up because life will throw all kinds of punches at you. If you look at the things that have fought your family members, you are next in line.

[5:21] You can't escape but when you are built up, they throw the punch, life throws the punches, you face it, and then you punch life, it falls down and you keep going because you are built up.

[5:36] All boxes, they build up. They go to the gym, they build up, throw punches, they take punches, they build it up. I heard a story of Muhammad Ali years ago.

[5:48] He was going to fight somebody, I've forgotten. The guy was thick and he's strong. I think in Kenya or so, years ago.

[6:00] And, you know, Muhammad Ali, they interviewed him. He said, I'll beat him. So they interviewed him way ahead and the guy said, this guy, I was, Ali is always dancing.

[6:14] So, I'm going to manage and get him through his dancing and punch him because the guy is strong. And they asked Ali, Ali said, I know he's stronger but I'll just dance my way, dance my way, dance my way.

[6:27] So, the guy focused his energy on trying to manage so Ali cannot dodge because Ali is smart at dodging and dancing his way around.

[6:39] So, he also trained so that if Ali dodges, he can get him quickly. But Ali didn't train to dance. He trained to take punches. So, he built himself up.

[6:50] The guy underestimated. So, when they went in the ring, Ali trained and the guy was trying punches. He was taking punches. The guy got tired. Yeah.

[7:01] He built himself up to be able to take the punches. The guy got tired and Ali gave him knockout. He thought Ali was coming to dance. He changed his strategy.

[7:12] I think you should change your strategy. Change your strategy. Build your muscles for life.

[7:24] I commend you to the word of God. The word of his grace. I said, I commend you to God and to the word of God's grace.

[7:35] You want God's grace? It can't happen outside of God's word. God's grace is when God is beginning to show you goodness.

[7:47] Show you favor. Bible said, Joseph was kept in prison but God gave him favor. Genesis chapter 39 verse 21. God gave him favor. Verse 2 and verse 21. God gave him favor.

[7:58] Joseph was in prison but God gave him favor. The Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor. God will give you favor with some lecturers. God will give you favor with some employers.

[8:11] God will give you favor with people who matter. God will give you favor. Shout favor. Shout favor. Favor. Favor. Favor is what makes when they say they should tell you no.

[8:24] You can't go. They say, I know you should but okay, you know what? Don't let anybody know. Just come in. That's favor. What told you favor does not work? Most people are not getting certain admissions and placements because you don't have favor.

[8:41] Sometimes you have to be, let me tell you, there are a lot of guys who are good with football but no one is signing them on. Yeah. One of the things that make you lose favor is naughtiness and arrogance.

[8:54] Yeah. Oh, you like the girl, you saw the lady, you really like her, you want to marry her. Hey, father, stay away from that guy. He's arrogant. Yeah.

[9:08] Some of you, you can go to your friend's house and after you leave, the mother will call him if my friend come, this one. Mashie bear. Mashie bear.

[9:21] And another, they will tell you no. You see, that girl, that guy, yeah, befriend him. This one, no. This one, yes. When allocations are coming, somebody can call you, a lecturer can call you, somebody in authority can call you.

[9:38] He said, get ready, they're about to release it so as soon as I come, make sure you are first to go because it's not enough. Some will be thinking I'll go for it later but it's not enough. So someone will give you advance notice, go and get your own.

[9:52] It's this favor. life works when you are favored. If you don't have favor, it's no good. Some of you, what you should believe God for is favor with people who can help you.

[10:08] Those who don't like you. You see, in life, it doesn't matter who doesn't like you. Oh, you didn't hear what I said. I know you didn't hear what I said. I said it does not matter who doesn't like you but it certainly matters who likes you.

[10:25] If some people like you, oh, you'll be rising. If some people like you, you will do well. Yeah, you will do well.

[10:36] I pray that may people like you. May God give you favor. He says that God was giving favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

[10:48] And what happened? It's interesting. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's sons. All the prisoners, can you imagine, he was the one, now he's a prisoner but now he was in charge of prisoners.

[11:01] A prisoner with promotion. I'm sure he was receiving even some allowance. Because the guy just liked him. He said, you know what, be in charge.

[11:13] Be in charge. You know what, no, no, don't worry, I'm going to sleep. Take care. And whatever they did, whatever they did there, it was his doing.

[11:24] Anything that happened in the prison, he was in charge. Everybody go and eat, everybody go and dance, everybody, Joseph, but he was a prisoner. But when he came there, he was operating like a warden. Yeah.

[11:37] How did he get it? Bible says, God, the verse before, God gave him favor. Yeah. Who likes you matters? I don't care.

[11:47] Some people, it matters. Who likes you matters? Who doesn't like you is not an issue because sometimes people will like you because you're a woman, because you're a man, because you're black, because you're white, because you are, you're descending.

[12:01] Some people just don't like you because you're ascending. Life is interesting. I feel like preaching, you know. Some of you, you can tell since you started exposing yourself to God's word, you are far wiser.

[12:21] Far wiser. When the word of God stuffs you up, builds you up, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up.

[12:33] Now let me go to where I came here and give you, not them, you the one who is being built up, you are the one who can be given an inheritance. And give you an inheritance amongst those who are saved.

[12:49] Your inheritance are not among unbelievers. Stop envying them. So take your eyes off unbelievers.

[13:00] Doesn't matter what they have, there's no future. Yeah, there's no future. give you an inheritance means it will first of all connect you to a family system, spiritual family.

[13:17] That's why Paul said to Timothy, therefore this son, my son, second Timothy, said, therefore my son, be strong. You see the word of God, the word of his grace.

[13:30] What you need is grace. Without grace, you're on the highway of this grace. He said, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Jesus.

[13:40] Where is it? In Jesus. Where is it? Boyfriend? Girlfriend? Job? Mother? Father?

[13:51] Your beauty? Your hips? Where? Jesus. Not even in church. So you can come to church and still be denied of the grace.

[14:03] Because you were in church but not in Christ. There are two different things. We were in church but she wasn't in Christ. Yeah. She was just hallelujah dancing, doing everything, playing drum, playing keyboard, doing everything, but you know what?

[14:20] Was not in Christ. Was genuine. That's why they won't stop some things. And you say, it's my weakness. Nonsense. You don't want to repent. You say, it's my weakness. You say, it's my weakness.

[14:32] It's your wickedness. You are wicked. Oh, allow me like that.

[14:43] How can we take you like that? How can we take you like that? It says that the grace is in Christ. Until you are in Christ, you are not qualified for the grace.

[14:55] You disqualify yourself for God's grace. grace. And you will be reduced to grace. Bible says that all flesh is grace.

[15:08] It's in the Bible. If you don't grow in grace, all flesh is what? Yeah. NIV. All men, that's the proper one.

[15:24] All men. That man is not male, human beings. You are like grass. You are like grass. You are fading away. You are fading away. You don't bath for only two days.

[15:36] You stink like mortuary. Yeah. You don't smell, you stink. Yeah. All flesh is grass.

[15:48] So, if we don't stay in Christ, we can't enjoy grace. He said, I commend you to my son. Therefore, my son, be strong.

[16:00] I like that one. Be strong. If there's something you should be strong in, it should be the grace of God. Yeah. So, if I were you, I'll be working on myself to be strong in the grace.

[16:11] How do you get strong in the grace? Building yourself up in your most holy faith. Be strong in the grace of God. In fact, I was going to teach to verse 13. And I couldn't finish verse 1.

[16:25] Are you getting something? Let me attempt to go past verse 1 so that at least I feel I've done something. It says that the words, the teachings, the things you have heard from me before many witnesses.

[16:40] It said the things that you have heard from me amongst how many people can hear me now? So, you're not the only one listening. Others are hearing. Yeah.

[16:53] And usually the word of God comes amongst many witnesses. So that tomorrow when you stand before God you are without excuse. Because others said we also heard it.

[17:04] You can't pretend to hear it. It says that amongst many witnesses commit these to faith. It's not everyone will commit some things to. Some things you don't have to bother trying to explain some things to some people.

[17:18] Because they are not interested. Commit these to faithful men who will also be able to transfer it. If you really love God, when you receive anything good from God, you are quick to pass it on.

[17:30] You share it. You share it. Some people are waiting for microphone before they share. God will never give you. God will never give you. One of these days, God's Bible says, hand such a one over to Satan.

[17:45] Yeah. First Timothy chapter 1 somewhere there. It said, hand him over. I have handed him over to Satan so he will know how not to blaspheme. Yeah.

[17:56] Hand such a one over to Satan. In the church, chief apostle is telling Pastor Timothy, yeah, chapter 1 verse 20, of whom are Hymenaeus, okay, who are they?

[18:09] They swore from the faith. Verse 19. Have gone out of the faith and made shipwreck. Having faith and good conscience. Say good conscience. Which some have been rejected.

[18:21] You can't reject faith, though. Everything you are doing, make sure you have a good conscience. Which some have been rejected. Somebody say, but there's nothing wrong with kissing. Are you doing with good conscience?

[18:34] Are you doing with good conscience? But the government said you can kiss. But are you doing with good conscience? Because if you leave good conscience and you reject good conscience and you reject faith, you make shipwreck.

[18:48] Concerning faith have suffered shipwreck. Because they didn't care about good conscience. My friends, everybody's doing it. Everybody's doing it. Everybody's doing it.

[19:00] What you are doing? Are you doing with good conscience? The things you have been watching. You are drinking alcohol with good conscience. Tell somebody, it looks like this one they are talking about you.

[19:15] Anyone who doesn't say it, I think they are the suspects. Tell somebody. We got to end quickly. I need to end.

[19:26] Sit down. Let me finish, please, please, please. Having faith and good conscience, which some have rejected, concerning faith has made shipwreck. Look at verse 19. And he gave an example. You will not be a negative example.

[19:36] He said, of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander? They are example of people who have made shipwreck of their faith. And so when people make shipwreck of their faith, they begin to talk rubbish.

[19:47] He said, whom have delivered to Satan, that they learn not to blaspheme. Blaspheme is saying things against God you shouldn't be saying. Yeah. The apostle said he has handed over some people to Satan.

[19:59] Yeah. Some people, listen, we are getting into serious times that if you are not ready for Jesus, please, get out of here. Yes. If you are not ready, get out.

[20:14] This is not marketing. You are not looking for clients or customers. It's a serious business. Right. Having faith and good conscience, which some have been rejected, concerning faith, have suffered.

[20:31] So once some people start talking a certain way about church, oh, this, this, their suffering is loading. Because they have suffered shipwreck.

[20:41] It's just coming. It's just a matter of time. The main point I wanted to talk about today is somewhere in verse 5, that until you strive for masteries, you are not crowned. Yeah.

[20:53] There's a way if you are pushing, you have to push. Anyone who strives for mastery must do it lawfully. You want to get married? Do it lawfully to get God involved. You want to be great in life?

[21:06] Do it lawfully. He says that if a man strives for mastery, mastery is championship. Yet, he is not crowned, except you strive lawfully. Do it right.

[21:18] Oh, don't worry. The grace of God is people. Don't mind those people. They are not serious. The grace of God is, listen, it doesn't matter how much you pray if you don't study, you will fail legitimately. You will fail legitimately, comfortably.

[21:33] With authority. You know, God's work builds us. God's work builds us. It builds us up.

[21:46] Someone is being built up. Someone is being built up. I don't care where you fail. I don't care where you got it wrong. The good news is, you are being built up.

[21:57] You are being built up. Amen. At the moment, you might look weak. You might look not so strong, but they should give you time. You are being built up.

[22:08] You are being built up. You are being built up. You are being built up. You are being built up. You are being built up. The word of grace is building you up. Grace is building you up.
