On Earth, there is blessing for the believer; you can’t sacrifice and live for God sacrifice and not see the impact here on earth. Your service to God is not in vain, it entitles you to reap many times more. As you do serve God faithfully, He will show His glory in your life.
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests His word and nourishes our spirits. May the life of God enter into you and you as you listen to this message. Be blessed.
[0:19] What you were afflicted by before you met Christ doesn't have the authority to keep afflicting you because He said He has sent me to heal the broken hearts, to open the prison gates for the captives.
[0:34] You are not meant to stay in captivity after you have come to Christ, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind. And set at liberty those who are oppressed is part of the package. Amen?
[0:51] And what I'm trying to say is the greatest of our blessing really is not on this earth. Because, I mean, how long can you live to contain the blessing of God? In fact, the Bible even puts it this way. Malachi chapter 3 verse 10 says, bring the tithes and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you a blessing.
[1:10] If I will not open the windows, will not open for you. The windows, I like that one, oh, I don't want to go off. For you. It's open with people's name on it specifically. So, someone can be standing by you and it will get to the person because this one was open for you.
[1:24] If I will not open the windows for you, the windows of heaven and pour out for you, not for everybody. For you. You, the one who are practicing the dictates of God.
[1:36] For you. Such blessing that you will not have room enough. You see, there are blessings that real blessings cannot be captured in one life. No, no, no, no. Real blessing can never.
[1:48] You are not blessed until you are a blessing. Real blessing overflows. It goes beyond your lifetime. And it affects your loved ones. It affects your children.
[2:00] And the biggest of it is eternal reward. So, we can, we Christians cannot live as though everything is just here. Your best life can certainly never be here.
[2:10] Because the best of your life is certainly ahead when we meet Jesus. Someone who believes, shout hallelujah! That's why we can suffer for his name. That's why we can go through things for him.
[2:23] And so, the blessed hope, as I taught you some time ago, about how there is grace that is to be brought at the revelation of Christ.
[2:33] Another level of grace. In 1 Peter 1, verse 13. He said, get up the loins of your mind. Get up the loins of your mind. Be sober and rest your hope fully upon our, upon what?
[2:49] There's grace that is to be brought to you when Jesus is revealed. You are enjoying grace now, but there is another level of grace coming. We are born again by grace. We are saved by grace.
[2:59] We serve by grace. And guess what? We work for grace. We hope for grace. We set our hope on the grace. He said, fully set your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
[3:13] And so, we Christians, the core of the glories of our life is not on this earth. The earth is too limited to contain everything. However, it's from glory to glory.
[3:26] So, you are moving from glory to glory. We start from glory. When he calls us, he begins to glorify his name in us and move us on a journey of glory. From glory, he keeps, that means he keeps getting better and better.
[3:40] He said, Proverbs, the path of the just is like a shining, Proverbs chapter 4, 18. The path of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter onto a perfect day.
[3:55] The perfect day is when Jesus comes. So, it keeps shining and shining and shining, not dimming and shine and dim and shine and dim. No, it shines brighter and brighter and not brighter and a little dim and then brighter again.
[4:11] No, no, no, no, no, no. It's brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter. Say, my life is shining brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter.
[4:22] The path of the just is like a shining sun that shines brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter. Say, I will shine brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter.
[4:32] Say it. I will shine brighter and brighter and brighter. One more time. I will shine brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter. I will shine brighter and brighter and brighter.
[4:45] In Jesus' name. The path of the just is like a shining sun that shines brighter and brighter, that shines ever brighter unto a perfect day.
[4:59] So once you are in Christ, you are supposed to start shining because God is called the Father of lights. James 1, 17.
[5:09] All good and perfect gifts come from above. Come from above. Comes down from the Father of what? Lights. If he's the Father of lights, not lights, lights, plural, who are these lights?
[5:26] Who are his children? We are his children and we are meant to shine. That's why we are light. And Jesus himself is the bright and morning star. So we are meant to shine and shine on this earth.
[5:39] As we get ready for the grand finale, for the ultimate, the perfect day, whilst we are getting ready for the perfect day, we keep shining in one area, your marriage, your health, your finances, your career.
[5:53] Didn't you hear the lady two years ago? She joined marriage. God gave her a promotion. And within two years. Now, boom. And more are coming. Marriage is coming.
[6:03] Children are coming. Houses are coming. I'm talking about peace is coming. Good health is coming. It's part of the package, right? It's part. Pastor, ask for me. Nothing is happening.
[6:15] Check your approach. Check your alliance. Check your allegiance. Check, check. There's something we have to do to trigger the move of God. Who are you honoring?
[6:27] Who are you dishonoring? Maybe you have a friend like Korah. You are keeping the company of Korah. Who dishonor? They are dishonoring. Korah is always fighting and insulting and dishonoring his father or his mother or his pastor.
[6:41] And you are comfortable around such a person. It will affect you. It will affect the quality of your testimony. Because you might not be doing it, but you are in a territory.
[6:52] God told Moses. Moses, in Numbers chapter 16, I think verse 23, he said, Moses, tell the children from verse 21, 22, 22, 22, tell the children of Israel.
[7:06] Say to the, speak to the congregation. Get away from the tent of Korah, Datak, and Abirah. Stay away from them. This is God. Verse 23. See, verse 23. And the Lord spoke to Moses.
[7:18] Verse 23. The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, tell the congregation. Tell the who? What is congregation? Is it not church members? Tell the congregation, saying, get away from the tent of Korah, Datak, and Abirah.
[7:33] These are the people who rebel against the chosen leadership of God. So, their being around them, actually, just being around Korah, Iberah, Datak, puts them at risk.
[7:47] Like, whoever is your ally, you inherit their friends and their enemies. So, you have to choose your allies wisely. Because whoever becomes your ally, whoever becomes your friend, you inherit their enemies.
[7:59] You inherit their friends. So, if it's so in the natural, then spiritually, I'm telling you. I'm telling you. So, if things are not happening, and it's happening somewhere, then that thing is working.
[8:10] You have to find a way of working it. You have to find, how can I work it? Are there things I'm supposed to do which I'm not doing? So, on earth, there's blessing for the believer. Yes, that's what I'm talking about.
[8:21] Jesus wouldn't have been saying, blessed are the poor in spirit, for this is the kingdom of God. Matthew chapter 5. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the weak, the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
[8:34] Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Seven. Blessed are the merciful. No. No. These are things that people do that entitle them to certain things on earth.
[8:45] Yeah. So, what you do is not only when you die that it shows up. It's what it begins on earth. Now, this is the point I'm trying to make. The point I'm trying to make by God's grace is there is no amount of sacrifice you give to God which doesn't start taking effect from earth.
[9:02] So, this thing is not just the hereafter. Oh, tomorrow, one day. Yes, that one is definite. That's why every believer must look forward to the coming of Christ. It's better than anything. It's better.
[9:13] It's better. Far better than anything. You can only imagine. Even your imaginations are so limited, you can't imagine beyond human restrictions. So, that's amazing.
[9:23] However, whilst we are here on earth, don't you work? You go to work. You have to eat. And you are hardworking. You are serving God. You should be getting a better job, a promotion.
[9:35] It will come. You have to study more than those who are not praying. Yes. And see if God will not give you colorful outcome.
[9:48] That's it. So, is it marriage? There's no problem. Just work with God. Do the right things. And see if God will not settle you in a glorious marriage. Yeah. That's what I'm saying.
[9:58] That's what I'm saying. You can't live for God and not see the impact here on earth. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. It doesn't go together. When you serve God, you said no man can do these things except God be with him.
[10:12] So, watch this. Watch this. Listen. No man can do this. It's John chapter 3 verse 2. So, if you want to write. But no man can do these things except God be with him. That means if God be with you, you do things that are extraordinary.
[10:26] You generate extraordinary results for unbelievers to know that God is actually with you. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. When God is with you, your life should produce certain type of results that will be evident that there's something else behind you.
[10:41] Yes. Yes. How can we be fasting, fasting and praying and praying and there's no tangibility of the evidence of God on your life? No. It's going to happen for you. God will show his glory.
[10:53] Pastor. As you are doing it faithfully, God will show his glory in your life. My brother. My sister. Fear not. You can't serve God and serve in vain. It is not possible.
[11:03] So, the disciples. Peter asked Jesus one day in Luke chapter 18 verse 28. He said, Sir, Lord, we have forsaken all. We have seen.
[11:14] See, we have left all and followed. This is called sacrifice. Say, sacrifice. We have left all and followed you. You see where the problem is for some people?
[11:25] They haven't left all. They've just left one. They've left two. They've left some. But they've returned others. And they are expecting the results Peter was getting. It doesn't work like that.
[11:36] You can't make God first in your life and be last in life. No. Sometimes you have to come to God in prayer based on his word and based on what his grace has helped you to do. God, see, I've forsaken this.
[11:47] I've walked away from this because of your name. Because of your name. Thank you for helping me to walk away from it. I thank you. But, Lord, I've suffered all these things because of you. And I'm looking forward to greater testimony.
[11:58] I'm looking forward to a change of story. I'm looking forward to my breakthrough. You have to. You have to. David, I think somewhere in the Psalms, he said, God, reward me according to my righteousness. Remember me.
[12:08] And listen to it. According to my righteousness. I've done things right. I've done things right. And there's another place that, God, don't look at my faults. But where you've done right, you can tell God, God, at least, I know. You said I shouldn't do it.
[12:19] I didn't do it. So, God, remember me. Psalm 18, verse 20. The Lord remember me according to my right. Did you see that? According to the cleanness of my hands, he has compassed. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness.
[12:32] And according to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me, which is he has given me compensation. Yeah. What have you lost and God cannot give it back to you?
[12:43] He said, I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten. Chapter 2, verse 25. Joel. I will restore to you years. So, how old are you?
[12:53] He can restore years. It doesn't matter what happened. Your dad died and all that. God said, I will restore to you years. I will restore to you the years.
[13:04] Those very years. How can years be restored? But God said, I will restore to you that. He will compensate you. In Isaiah 48, I forgot to say the first. It says that, I think 54 or something.
[13:15] It says, God will give you double for your trouble. Yeah. He will give you double. Double for what you have been through. Because you have been through this. I will give you double.
[13:25] Double. Double. Because of what you have done. I will give you double. 61 year later. Instead of your shame. Instead of, I'm prophesied. Instead of your shame. You shall have double honor.
[13:36] What? Instead of confusion, they shall rejoice. Instead of confusion, they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land, they shall possess double.
[13:48] Everlasting joy shall be upon you. They shall possess double. They shall possess double. There's a place that double for what you have been through. Your challenges. But God will give you double. Everything now, double, double.
[13:59] You can only claim it when you know you are forsaking all. You can't sacrifice for God and be the same. No way. He said, wherefore, God has also highly exalted.
[14:11] Because he was obedient. He sacrificed. Philippians chapter 2, verse 9. Because he sacrificed, he be obeyed. Bible said, wherefore, God also. I'm prophesying to somebody.
[14:22] Because of what you are. God also. God also. You do it and God also will do his bit. You do your bit and God also will do his bit. You don't sacrifice in vain. So Peter said, Lord, we have left all.
[14:35] We are forsaking all. We've abandoned it. Because we are following you. That's the caveat, please. It's because you are following Jesus. You did it for Jesus. Not for pastor. You did it for Jesus.
[14:46] Not for mother. You did it for Jesus. Not for congregation. You did it for Jesus. And so expect Jesus to react. Don't wait for a pastor to reward you. You didn't do it for a pastor.
[14:57] The people who only serve because of a pastor's smile. It has a place in the blessings of God. Because when someone who is spiritual, you touch their heart and they are pleased with you.
[15:10] It turns to a blessing. But you have to do it first. You are doing it for Jesus. And because you are serving Jesus under a man, you make the work easier for the man.
[15:21] He'll be pleased with you. God will be pleased with you. Paul said, you brought me gifts. And the gifts you brought me, I have received from Epaphroditus. The gift you brought me. A sweet smelling, Philippians chapter 4, verse 16, 17 particularly.
[15:37] He said, the gift you sent to me from Epaphroditus. I have received the gifts. And then he says that, it is indeed, I have all and about, I am full.
[15:48] I have received from Epaphroditus. The things sent from you, I have received. Who has received it? Paul. He said, I. You sent to me.
[15:59] I have received it. The transfer, I have received it. The things you sent, I have received. And he said that, it is, watch this. He should have said, it is a sweet smelling, pleasing to me.
[16:10] But he didn't say that. A sweet smelling aroma. An acceptable sacrifice. Well pleasing. Hey, now are you God to determine what is pleasing to God? Apostle. Apostle, you are taking this thing far now.
[16:21] I gave that thing to you. Say you like it. Why are you saying now the thing is nice for God? Hey, apostle. But I was making a point. There is a way you can make the work of God easier for your spiritual leader.
[16:33] So that he knows God will react to you. He knows you are tied in the heart of God because he's standing for God. And you have made it easier. You have honored him in a way that God, he knows the God who called you. Watch, watch. Oh, I'm moving into something.
[16:45] Look at the next verse. He said, therefore. He didn't say the God of heaven. He didn't say your God. He said, therefore, my God. Is he not our God? No. This time, it's my special relationship with God is about to trigger in your favor.
[16:56] He said, the God behind me. The God who sent me. Because of what you have done to me. Jesus said, they that receive you, they have. Matthew 10, 40. When they receive you, they have received me.
[17:07] If they receive you, they have received me. That's what Jesus said. He who receives you, have received me. So you don't need to go to Jesus. Look for the one he has sent. Receive the man, you have received Jesus. Receive that person, you have received Jesus.
[17:19] And Paul said, because you have done this for me, it is sweet smelling aroma to God. Therefore, and my God, and my God. King James. Let me have the King James.
[17:30] He said that, but my God shall supply all your needs. See, he's my and your needs. If your God supplies me, why didn't he do it for you? I brought you your needs.
[17:41] You have met my needs, so he also meets your needs. That's what he's saying. But why didn't he meet yours? He used you to meet mine. So he used others and different systems to meet yours.
[17:51] He's the mastermind. He's behind it. He said, therefore, my God shall supply your needs according to his riches in glory. It is on earth. It starts on earth. And it continues in heaven.
[18:02] It starts on earth. And it is magnified. And it's really culminated. And it is really matured in heaven. Perfect day. But on earth, you can't be serving God faithfully.
[18:14] You can't be sacrificing. And you are a victim. Any day, any time on this earth. God forbid. That is not the kind of God. That is not what God has called us into. He didn't call us to be victims.
[18:25] He called us to be victors. So, he said, we have left all and followed you. And Jesus said, Jesus answered him. Jesus said. So he said to them, surely I say to you, there is no one.
[18:36] Someone shout no one. No one. Shout no one. No one. That no one means that your kids will not invalidate this statement. If it's no one, no one.
[18:47] He said, there is no one. Jesus said, there is no one who has left what? House? Parents? Brothers? Or wife? Or children? You see, wife is only one.
[18:59] All the other ones are plural. So you are not meant to have more than one wife. Parents is more. Brothers. Wife. No wives. Children. No child. So wife is singular.
[19:12] For the sake of the kingdom. There is no one. You can't sacrifice things for the kingdom and stay at the same level. Watch this. Jesus said, there is no one. There is no one thing.
[19:23] There is no one. When you do it, you will see reaction. There is no one. So that is why I believe your sacrifices, your commitment, your fasting, this amount of sacrifice. The sacrifice you are giving to God.
[19:35] The sacrifices you are making for God. Don't sacrifice. You know, people sacrifice for all kinds of things. And I can't guarantee that. But there's ones we do for God. There are people who sacrifice for their jobs.
[19:46] Sacrifice for their family. Sacrifice for their business. Sacrifice for their children. Sacrifice for their career. Sacrifice for their masters. All these things are good sacrifices.
[19:57] But God is not committed to. There is law in life. Watch you so you reap. But this, when you sacrifice for God and for his kingdom, that one is not just sowing and reaping.
[20:08] It's you provoke God to get involved in your reaping. What you reap will, watch this. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ma saranda. What you reap will have a supernatural, a divine dimension to it.
[20:20] Because God, the sacrifice was unto God. And it's not waiting till we go to heaven. Because it will be too late to pay your bills when you are in heaven. Why is it that you are a hard worker? You are a hard worker.
[20:31] You are diligent. And you are working. And they kicked you out of their job. And it's not because it's persecution. Persecution is a different story. That's suffering for Christ. That one is a different story. Okay. But basic things.
[20:42] You alone, you can't get anything. You can't get a job. And they are kicking you from your house. And you are praying. Ah. No, no. When you are with God, God will make sure you will get a job. God will help you to secure a job that can pay your basic.
[20:54] It's not for you to be a millionaire. But that can pay your basic bills and pay you good. So you can have time to do God's work. Because there are some things. Listen, if you don't have food to eat, how can you have strength to preach?
[21:05] How can you say, oh, my food is in heaven? No, no, no. Please, please. You don't need that kind of food. There's only one type of food in heaven. Christ will be our meal. So food, we need it here.
[21:15] What do you need petrol in heaven for? You can't buy fuel. You can't buy fuel. When, even to go to work, you can't pay your bills. Heaven, there's no, we don't pay bills. So we pay bills here. Unless you are not working, unless you are lazy.
[21:27] Then that one, Bible says that he who does not work must not eat. So that is different. But if you are working, you are genuine. You are looking. You are not into fraud.
[21:37] You are genuine. You are doing the right thing. You are not lazy. And still nothing, everything. Satan is fighting. Satan doesn't have what it takes to close doors that God has opened for you to end that when you are working with God.
[21:49] Satan can't do that. He would have, if he could have done that, he would have stopped Jesus from resurrecting from the dead. But he says that it's not possible. Is someone getting me? So let's see what he says. He says that there's no one who has left parents, who has left brothers, wives, children for the sake of the kingdom.
[22:02] No one, what, who has done that who shall not receive many times more. Somebody shout many times more. Many times more. I said shout it if you can shout. But if you can shout. Shout many times more.
[22:14] Many times more. Shall not. He said there's no one who has done this and shall not. That means anyone who does it shall receive many times more.
[22:25] Yeah, that's about when we die. No, what? Read the steps. In this present time and in the end you come, eternal life. So your sacrifices must start speaking from this end. Don't think your fasting is in vain.
[22:37] Don't think your giving is in vain. Don't think your service is in vain. Don't think your obedience to God is in vain. It entitles you to reap on this many times more.
[22:48] What is needed to make life work on earth as you serve God? It will be given to you in this life. How about 2 Timothy 4, verse 7? He said there are things you have to shun.
[22:59] Shun. Avoid and shun. Reject. But reject profane an old wife's fable. Pastor, what's that? Old wife's fables. It's all kinds of stories. And this one is all kinds of stories that don't have any biblical basis and foundation.
[23:13] But people believe it. And this one has done this. And this one has done this. All kinds of conspiracy theories and stuff. These are old wife's fables. Shun the end profane. Profane is anything that trivializes spiritual things.
[23:24] It's not vulgar. Profane there doesn't mean vulgar. It means that spiritual things, you don't trivialize. It doesn't what? Trivialize spiritual things. When we are on the service praying and praying, you just choose not to pray. You are watching people.
[23:34] You trivialize spiritual things. Avoid profane and old wife fables. And exercise yourself. Exercise yourself rather onto. So there are some things you do that pave the way for God to show.
[23:47] God to show. Godness to show in your life and your results. There are things. And he says, focus on that. Exercise yourself. This thing they are talking about. How is it beneficial? I'm not interested. And exercise yourself onto things that will create an expression of God in your life and your results.
[24:03] Onto godliness. Now watch this. Why is he saying that? Because godly exercises. Spiritual things. As you do these spiritual things in fasting. Verse 8. Because bodily exercise.
[24:15] Okay. Is profitable. So physical things that you are exercising. Maybe you want to pass an exam. So you have to exercise yourself and to study. You want to lose some weight. So you are hitting the gym. Or you want to keep fit.
[24:26] And then, you know. All those things are good. Physical. But it's limited in its scope. It will deliver. But it doesn't go far. When you go to the gym, you don't lose weight for your daughter.
[24:37] Do you? It's only you. It's very limited. It's very limited. You can't take medication for your friend who is sick. Or your loved one who is sick. You can't. So it's profitable. But it has limited.
[24:49] Sorry. It has limits. It's limited in its scope. When it comes to delivery. So it says that. But bodily. Watch this. This is important. For bodily exercise profits little.
[25:01] But godliness. When God is expressed. It profits onto all things. How many things? Marriage. Health. Education. Studies. Business. Everywhere. There's no aspect of your life that can benefit.
[25:13] So it said it profits onto all things. Having the promise. So when you are doing. Know that there's a. This thing. It's going to affect. Promise of life. That now is. Not tomorrow. Now.
[25:23] This fasting. This sacrifice. It is benefiting you. It has the propensity. And the ability. To change your story. Now. Not only for heaven. Now. And that which is to come.
[25:35] So the year. The will to come. In heaven. Here in heaven. Is someone getting what I'm saying? In Psalm 22 verse 30. It says. That. That's a very powerful scripture. Look at what it says.
[25:46] A seed shall serve him. It shall be accounted. To the Lord. For a generation. What you are doing. It doesn't stay only with you. Your children. Are also going to benefit. See. That's the godliness now.
[25:57] It's going to benefit you. For a generation. It's going to. Go into your children's life. Some of us. Your grandchildren's life. Some of us. Your great grandchildren's life. Some of us. Your great great great.
[26:07] Grandchildren's life. Because of the intensity. Of your sacrifices. The intensity of your sacrifices. Doesn't stay only in your life. It transcends your life. But on earth. It delivers. So the point here is that.
[26:20] Our blessing is not only. The one. In the world to come. Our blessing starts from now. Your blessing starts from now. As you sacrifice. As you work. Live a life of sacrifice.
[26:31] For his glory. For his name. The blessings. The testimonies. The breakthroughs. It starts from now. And it continues. Shining brighter. And brighter. And brighter.
[26:42] God is going to start manifesting himself in your life. No one can do these things. Except God be with him. So that means. If God is with you. It will begin to show. I prophesy. That it will begin to show in your life.
[26:54] You won't have to explain to people. You will not have to explain why you love God. They will see why you love God. When you serve God. It will show. Don't worry. Those who are mocking you. As they are mocking you. God is making you.
[27:05] Leave them alone. Let them mock. God will make. Say I am what I am by the grace of grace. Grace makes you. I am by grace. So grace will make you. Don't worry. But stay faithful. And do it for Jesus.
[27:15] And you will see the goodness of God. In Jesus mighty name. Someone who believes. Shout. Amen. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry. To hear more from David Entry.
