Wind Of Favour And Covering

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. In Genesis chapter 39, when Joseph was thrown into prison and he interpreted people's dreams in prison, he told the one whose dream he interpreted who was promoted into political circles, he said, please, when you go, remember me.

[0:36] Bible said, but the man forgot about him. When God's time comes, he will put your name in the heart of people. When God's time comes, when his time hasn't come, sometimes you are forcing and pushing.

[0:52] But when God's time comes, people will be looking for you. You will not be looking for them. Oh, wow. When God's time comes, you come. Things will be easier and smoother than you have always experienced and people have tried.

[1:10] When God's time comes, it's like you can't fully explain how the thing is working, but really on, it will work. It's a wind of favor blowing.

[1:23] I'm telling you, it's a wind of promotion. That is also one of the covenant statements behind Christ, that the God of promotion just shows up in people's life.

[1:34] I won't be surprised. Listen to me, brothers and sisters. I will not be surprised if some of the winds of favor blowing is a result and a reflection of honor.

[1:46] When you extend courtesy of honor to people who carry grace, it changes your story. Amen. It moves you into a new phase and into a new season.

[1:57] Right. Yes. I have a fear. It carries us moving into a new season. Amen. Prayer is the Lord. It's a season of promotion, a season of favor, a season of elevation.

[2:10] Let your wind of favor blow upon us and upon my life. Amen. There are times there's a dark cloud that can be sitting around a person, around people.

[2:21] And so people who are supposed to notice, you can't see you. Wow. Sometimes it's like you are doing business in a corner. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Even though you are on a high street, your business looks like it's in a corner back street somewhere.

[2:36] No one is noticing you. There are spiritual dynamics and dimensions about some of these things. We want to pray every dark cloud that is covering anyone, that is covering you from being noticed.

[2:50] You see, listen to this. Sometimes the people who can help you, they haven't even noticed you. And the people who have seen you and are happy about you can't help you.

[3:02] They can't help you. May God raise people who can help you to notice you. Amen. The prayer you are praying.

[3:12] Every dark cloud, every negative cloud, negative shadows covering you from shining, covering your face from glory. So people who can make a difference, who can help, who can be a blessing, who can change your story, for them to see you and be impressed.

[3:30] Sometimes they will see you and they are not impressed. We want to pray, Lord, let my future husband notice me and be impressed. Let my future wife notice me and be impressed. Let my future mother-in-law notice me and be impressed.

[3:43] Let my future employee, the people, the one who signed the document for me. Yes, yes, yes. Let them notice me. I am talented. I am good. I am exceptional. But no one has noticed me.

[3:54] Lord, let every dark cloud covering me be lifted. Amen. The people are so good with football. They can play football. There are people who can even run faster than we say both.

[4:05] But where they are, no one will see them. No one will notice them. We want to pray that Lord. Grace, this is a season of elevation. Amen. Let my star shine.

[4:17] Let the star of the sky shine. Amen. Let me take that cloud. Let the dark cloud be spared. Amen. Let me count the first few. And let people who can help and make a difference.

[4:29] Move out you are moving. Let them see me. Let them notice me. We are going to pray the next prayer. Lord, hide me from the heralds of my time.

[4:43] Hide me from the pharaohs of my time. Hide me from those who can hurt me. Hide me from those who can block me.

[4:57] Hide me. When Jesus was born, even God himself who was born on earth, God said, please take me away from this man. This man is dangerous. Wow.

[5:08] Kill me. So Matthew chapter 2, the angel appeared. Verse 11, 12, 13, the angel appeared to Joseph. He said, take the child and his mother. Take them away.

[5:19] For herald was sick to kill the boy. And because of Jesus, many children, thousands of children under three years old were all made dead.

[5:30] Wow. So many Jesus' cousins, his cousins would all not be alive because they were murdered around his time by herald.

[5:41] Why? Because he was looking for the Jesus. When God has a plan for your life, the heralds of the time will be looking for you. And listen, the heralds of the time do not have to hear about you.

[5:55] Yeah. Prayer is that, Lord, block wrong eyes from seeing me. Block the wrong ears from hearing about me.

[6:07] Yeah. Hearing me. You know, sometimes at a workplace, you can say something and somebody didn't hear it, you can go free. Sometimes when people get into problems, sometimes one person heard it.

[6:23] And I didn't make an issue out of it, but this one person has now made it become blown out of proportion. One person. You want to pray that, Lord, hide us from people who can hurt us.

[6:36] Yes. As you are rising, as you are about to shine, as you are on your way to shining, as your light is about to shine, there are elements who do not have to notice you coming.

[6:48] Other than that, they will replace you with somebody before you are even around. A typical example, Joseph's brothers, when they realized this guy was a potential, I said, let's get rid of him.

[7:00] We want to pray that, Lord, hide me. Like Jesus was hidden in Egypt. So Herod died. Like Moses was hidden by God in Pharaoh's own house.

[7:12] God hid Moses in Pharaoh's house. The one who wanted to kill Moses, fed Moses, clothed Moses, educated Moses. That is the power of God.

[7:23] We want to pray that your time has come to shine. But anybody will hear about you. Sometimes you are okay doing your own thing. Then somebody who knew you years ago say, ah, this guy goes to call this person.

[7:38] This is the guy who is owning you. And they can come and create so much problems for you. Prematurely. Sometimes your wedding, by the time you realize, your former ex, ex, ex, ex, who has been looking for you to create problems, ends up hearing about your wedding.

[7:54] He said, let's go, let's go, they will spoil this thing. Hey, should be by the time they hear it, you're already married and everything is fine. Yeah. I know.

[8:04] I know. I know. I know. So, you want to pray, Lord, block people who can hurt me from hearing about me, hearing me, seeing me.

[8:14] Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Hide me from them, Lord. Hide me in my horizon. Hide me, so I can have safe passage to greatness, to the top. Hide me, hide me from elements that can stop me, that can hurt me, that can damage my potential and opportunities.

[8:32] Briefly, in John chapter 20, verse 24 says that, but Thomas, one of the 12 called the demons, was not with them when Jesus came. After resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples.

[8:45] Thomas was not there. Verse 25, the other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord, but he said unto them, except I see, in his hands, the print of nails, and put my finger into the print of nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

[9:04] I want to see the nails, the marks of the nail, and then not just see, I want my finger, I put my finger into that place, and not just that, put my finger also in the side where it was cut.

[9:16] Unless I see that, can you imagine the assurance, and the confidence with which he spoke? If I don't see that, watch, he said, I will not believe. But the scriptures are written, so you might believe.

[9:30] Yeah. Wow. And after eight days, again, his disciples were with him, and this time, Thomas with him, then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, peace be unto you.

[9:42] Then said Jesus to Thomas, reach either thy finger, that's what you wanted, bring your finger, because these are my hands, you wanted to see.

[9:53] Can you try your hand, and put your hand in my side, and not be faithless, but believing. Then Thomas answered, and said unto him, my Lord, he didn't even touch anything, as soon as I saw him, he said, my Lord.

[10:09] So why did he, he should have even said, if I see him, by going as far as I need to see, the wounds, put my finger there, put, Thomas, you are going too far, in this, your challenge of faith.

[10:23] You are about to miss God, big time. God gave him a second chance. And watch this, now he said, my Lord and my God, verse 29, then Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen, you believed, blessed are they, that have not seen, and yet have believed.

[10:44] And listen to this, this is the point I'm going to talk about. Very good point. He appeared, when Thomas was not there, but all the 10 were there. Watch this. Then, Thomas came, and they told him.

[10:59] He said, I won't believe. Then he appeared again, when Thomas was there. And then he said, now here I am, you should have, you touch me and see. Now the question is, why didn't he come, at the time Thomas was there, the first time?

[11:15] Jesus should have come, when Thomas was there, because he knew it. He knew he was, why did he come the second time, when he was there? Now do you know why? Thank you Holy Spirit. The key of the answer, is buried in verse 29.

[11:28] Verse 29 says that, Jesus said unto you, Thomas, because thou have seen, thou have believed. Blessed are they, that have not seen, and yet have believed. So, there was a certain blessing, God was trying to introduce Thomas into, which the others wouldn't have entered, because they have seen it.

[11:48] Right. Before believing. But Thomas hasn't seen, and there is a certain type of blessing, that comes to those, who have seen, have not seen, but believed. Jesus wanted that, to get to Thomas.

[11:59] Wow. But when they told him, what did he say? I will not believe. I don't believe. He made that blessing, and downgraded himself. Wow. I pray, that God will help us, not wait for signs, before we believe.

[12:12] As soon as we hear the word, we believe. Believe it. Don't wait for signs. Trust God. Walk with you. Amen. Believe him. Amen.
