The Word Of God In You

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Praise God, we are the hallelujah people. Amen. We are the Holy Ghost people.

[0:24] Amen. Amen. We are not ashamed of that. Amen. Amen. The church meets on the eighth day, not because of Sabbath issues, but the church meets on the eighth day because the Bible says that six days God created, heaven's name, and the seventh day he rested.

[0:45] And he kept resting until Jesus died and resurrected, and then he entered into creation again. So the eighth day of creation, the church is in the eighth day of creation.

[0:56] That is when the Bible says that Ephesians chapter 2, verse 15, it says that we are a new man. We are one new man created in Christ Jesus. So God didn't stop creation after Adam and Eve.

[1:11] He rested, but he started creating again. The next thing he created after Adam was the church. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, he said that we are the workmanship of God created in Christ Jesus.

[1:25] So God created something again after he created Adam. He rested after creating Adam, but he came back to create on the day of resurrection.

[1:35] So the church is called the new creation. Second Corinthians chapter 5, verse 17. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation.

[1:47] So the church is the new creation. So when you talk about the work of God, being born again, and the life in Christ, there's a way theologians call it.

[1:59] It's all the truths about how we are redeemed, how we are part of the church, how the Holy Spirit is in us, how he's doing. It's called the new creation realities. The realities of the new creation.

[2:11] Unfortunately, people in the charismatic church in the morning day are not even aware of the new creation realities. The realities of the new creation. How demons are subject to us.

[2:21] How God loves us. How God provides for us. How we are one with Christ. How we are seated in Christ. Because we are seated in Christ above principalities and powers.

[2:32] That means automatically principalities and powers are below us. How our prayer gets answered. How we are human beings but filled with God. Human beings walking filled with God is a serious mystery.

[2:48] It's a serious mystery. So you are like one person. But God is in you. And the mystery is that God is in you. He's in me. He's in her. He's in him.

[2:59] He's in them. He's in us. And at the same time, that makes us the church. So the definition of the church is God in you. God in me.

[3:10] God in her. God in her. Hallelujah. John chapter 8. We saw how they brought a woman caught in adultery. To Jesus. And they brought him.

[3:22] And they said. It's very interesting. When I was studying it. You see. When you take your time to read the Bible. You see things you have never seen in the past. So that's why in this time of fasting. Listen. If you read your Bible and you didn't notice anything.

[3:32] You haven't read it. When you read the Bible. There's so much. Every time you go. You see something. And never read your Bible without asking the Holy Spirit to show you his word.

[3:44] Say the word. The word. The word. The word. The word is so important. So when you read your Bible. You have to believe God to see his word.

[3:55] To receive a word. If you have enough of God's word inside you. You don't have to struggle too much in a lot of things. If you have enough of God's word inside you.

[4:09] Your prayer becomes very powerful. Listen. A person's prayer doesn't become powerful because he's a pastor. What makes your prayer powerful is your work with God.

[4:21] If the Holy Spirit is in you. Or if he's not in you. You can't really do the work of God. You know what the Spirit of God uses to work in you. He uses the word of God. So if there's no word in you.

[4:32] There's nothing the Holy Spirit can. It's like when you move into a new flat. Or a new house or something. Or you go to an apartment. There you see bowls. Catlari. There will be ladle.

[4:43] Whatever to cook. It's there. Oven. Cooker. Everything is there. But if you don't have the food itself. So the rice to put in the bowl. The tomatoes. If you don't have it. You can have all the utensils.

[4:54] And you can cook. The Holy Spirit when it comes to you. What makes him be able to work in you. Is the word of God in you. So the word of God plays a major role.

[5:07] Stronger than your fasting. Okay. Why are you fasting and you are not loading your spirit with God's word? You probably are starving. Let's load ourselves with God's word.

[5:22] Feed yourself every day. Don't get too busy. You don't get time to feed yourself with the word. If you are so busy. You don't get time to feed yourself with the word. You are too busy. Okay.

[5:33] How can you be so busy that your child is sick in hospital. You can't even go and attend to the child. How can you be so busy that you are dying because you are not eating? You are so busy that they have to rush you to hospital because you have been eating for a long time.

[5:48] You can't eat because you are too busy to eat. No. If you are busy, sometimes that's why this fast food is there. Sometimes you are in your car and you are eating and you are driving or you are on the train and you are eating. What am I trying to drive?

[5:59] Any means you have to find to make sure the word of God is coming in. You have to. You have to. That's why one of the things I do is I'm always playing the Bible.

[6:10] Making it play. Every time something should be playing. Something should be playing. Which is, it doesn't substitute my reading the Bible. I know what some of you are doing. Today is John chapter 8. You didn't read it. You heard it.

[6:21] You went to YouTube or somewhere and then you played John chapter 8 and it was playing. And you didn't read it. You are talking about reading the word.

[6:33] We have to read the word. So they brought the woman caught in adultery. They didn't bring her because they wanted to obey God's way. They brought her because they wanted to trap him in what he was going to say.

[6:50] And do you know how they started? They said, Master. They are calling him Master. The Pharisees. They said, Master, don't be deceived by the titles we will give you. Doesn't mean anything.

[7:01] They came and said, Master. Moses said, this person should be stoned because this woman was caught. And they said, in the very act. Ah. Wow.

[7:12] She was caught in adultery. In the very act. This woman was caught in the very act. And Moses, the writer said, I think it would be nice to read it.

[7:24] Yes, please. And the Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery in the very act.

[7:39] That's a serious statement. She was taken in adultery in the very act. Then they said, now, Moses in the law commands us that such should be stoned.

[7:50] So why are you not? Go ahead. Why are you coming to ask me? But what do you say? And they asked him so that he can contradict himself against what Moses has said.

[8:02] Because if you are the Messiah, you don't condemn what Moses says. You come and fulfill what Moses says. Okay. And you too, you say you care about people, forgive. Now, this person has caught in adultery.

[8:14] Now, let's see what you're going to do. If you say don't stone him, you are going against Moses. If you say stone him, you are going against public opinion. And you think that some lives don't matter.

[8:26] They were taking him out of scripture into social events to see how he would fit into the social events so as to undermine his scriptural position. So what I'm trying to say is amongst human beings, there are always bad people.

[8:42] Listen, Jesus at this time, the worst people were in his time. They came to ask him a question to trap him. How about that? And they came and, you know, they quoted from the Bible. They said, Moses said, powerful quotation.

[8:55] So the fact that somebody is using that, they were using the Bible to try and slay Jesus. Yeah. That didn't mean that the Bible was for slaves. No. Let me finish by talking about.

[9:06] Oh, hallelujah. Amen. Bible says that, verse 29 says that. And he that sent me is with me. The father has not left me alone. For I do all those things that please him.

[9:19] Verse 30. As he spoke these words, many believed on him. Did you see the believers appeared again? Yes. Many believed on him as he spoke these words. Verse 31.

[9:29] One says, then said he says to the Jews which believe on him. Now, he's focused on those who have believed. He has something. That's why I have something to tell you, those who believe. Those of us who have believed.

[9:40] I have something to tell you. I have something to tell you. You can't continue your life like those in the world. Okay. They came to judge Jesus according to the flesh. In verse 15. John, it says that.

[9:52] He judged after the flesh. I judged no man. When he said, I judged no man. When you read that one, she realized that he was saying that. My judgment. If you are judged. My judgment is from God. It's of the spirit.

[10:03] Okay. Don't use just the ordinary social norms to judge. That's why this fasting, you have to open your ears to God. Maybe it's because of somebody that God made me say these things.

[10:16] Yeah. So, then Jesus said to those who have believed. Verse 31. Then I said to those who have believed on him. If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.

[10:28] And if you are my disciples indeed. Look at verse 32. He said, and ye shall know the truth. And the truth will make your life matter. Wow. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It is your practice that makes you understand the deep things of God.

[10:44] And that is what entitles you to real liberty. Verse 34. Jesus said that. Anyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. But if you hear my word.

[10:56] And at time will not permit me. I was going to show you how the Pharisees and the Jews were challenging him. And he said, you are of your father, the devil. Abraham is not your father. The devil is your father.

[11:07] Why? Because you want to kill me. And you want to do the will of the devil. And you know what he said? Look, let me just jump to and say this and then I'll end. When I saw it, I felt wow. Verse 37.

[11:18] He said, I know you are Abraham's seed. But you seek to kill me. Because my word has not got place in you. When the word of God has not got place in you, you fulfill Satan's program.

[11:30] You are not free until the word has not got place in you. So I started by talking about the word of God. Give yourself to the word of God. Let the word of God dwell in you. I know you may have your own weakness.

[11:42] Jesus said, he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone. Nobody could do that. Because everybody is with sin. And then in 34, he says that if you sin, you are slave to sin.

[11:53] So everybody is a slave. You have to be free from the control of sin from your inside. So you don't become a victim of the wickedness of men. Let the word of God dwell in you richly.

[12:04] He said, those of you who have believed in me, if you continue in my word, then you are a proper Christian. Other than that, you are not different from anybody. See, if you continue my word, then you are my disciples indeed.
