Description

It is very easy to go through things and feel that God is not with you and is not hearing your prayers. However, you must remember that God hears, He always hears the cries of the righteous. He also remembers them in the day of trouble. He has not forgotten you. Wait upon Him, He hears and He remembers.

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Our High Priest is touched by the feelings of our infirmities.

[0:23] So the pain we go through, the infirmities, our limitations and restrictions, the feelings that come with it, you know, when you are restricted, when you are limited, when things are not going the way you should go and things are bad, things are working like not in your favor, the way you feel about it.

[0:41] The Bible says that our High Priest, we have a High Priest, he's touched by the feelings of our infirmities. One day Jesus was passing and Jesus said, somebody touched me. Who touched me?

[0:52] He said, who touched me? So he couldn't go. And Peter then said, everybody's touched me. He said, no, somebody has touched me. You might not see themselves physically to touch him. But my Bible says that he's touched by the feelings of our infirmities.

[1:07] So there's another way you can touch him. It's that when you pour, that's what Hannah did. She pours out the bitterness of her soul, the feeling of pain. You know, I believe some of you may know this by now.

[1:22] Sometimes you wonder, is God there at all? Oh. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Look at my condition, look at the way I'm praying, I'm fasting.

[1:33] Are you there? No. No. Sometimes it's like some 22 verse 2. Ali, Ali, oh my God.

[1:43] It is very easy to go through things and feel like God is not with you. Oh. I want to pray that God remember me. Lord, help me. Turn my captivity around.

[1:55] God always hears the cry of the righteous. Bible says that the cry of the righteous comes into his ears. He hears the prayers.

[2:07] It says that the one who created the ears shall he not hear. Wow. The one who created the eyes shall he not see. So God has ears to hear. And when we call on him, you will hear us.

[2:21] In our family, it doesn't matter what you might be doing. If you call on him, he will hear you. In fact, we say that, may the Lord remember you in the day of trouble.

[2:34] Amen. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. God will remember us. God will turn our captivity around. God will put laughter in our mouth.

[2:46] Yes. They that wait on the Lord shall not be put to shame. Amen. You will not be put to shame. Amen. You will not be put to shame. Amen. In the name of Jesus.

[2:59] Amen. Psalm 94 verse 9. He that planted the earth, shall he not hear. He that formed the earth, shall he not hear. Shall he not hear. Shall he not see. Shall he not see. Shall he not see. Shall he not see.

[3:09] So, he is a God who made the ears. He shall hear you. Amen. So, Bible says, this is the confidence we have in him. 1 John 5.14. That when we pray according to his will, he hears us.

[3:22] Amen. And we know that if he hears us, verse 15, then we have the petition which we have asked of him. Praise God. Well, today we read from John chapter 5.

[3:35] Now, there is something that stood out for me, which I want to just share briefly with you. In John chapter 5, reading from verse 2. Now, there is a Jerusalem by the sheep market, a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue, having five poches.

[3:53] In this lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down, went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water.

[4:08] Whosoever then first, after the troubling of the water, stepped in, was made hold of whatsoever disease.

[4:18] Whatsoever. Verse 5. And a settler. I'm happy they didn't mention the name. Amen. Amen. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity 38 years.

[4:43] So this infirmity, he had had infirmity 38 years. When Jesus saw him live, and knew, verse 6 is important, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he said unto him, will thou, will thou be with whom?

[5:04] When Jesus saw him live, and Jesus knew this man has been in this case situation for a long time, he was thinking that maybe the qualification would have helped him.

[5:18] Oh. The guy was thinking that if I can apply for 10 jobs, maybe if I can do this job, if I can change my dress, you know, I'll add some eyelashes, maybe I'll be married.

[5:31] Wow. Wow. If I can just try and save a little bit, I'll be able to buy the house. Yeah. If I can just do this, I'll get this. And Jesus said, this guy has tried everything.

[5:44] He's been there for a very long time. Do you know why he could not do anything when the angel, because others were coming and receiving their healing.

[5:54] How come he didn't come to receive his own? Verse 5 says that, and a certain man was there, which had an infirmity 30 and 80 years ago.

[6:10] This man's infirmity was such that he could not walk. He was paralyzed. Well, now what's this? Verse 7, the important man answered and said, I have no manner when the water is trouble to put me into the pool.

[6:26] I'm trying to even get alone to do the course. I'm trying. I just don't have because it looks like somebody's knee is on my neck.

[6:36] You are trying. But you know, it gets to a time where the solution is beyond your hands. It gets to a time where the system, the way the system is programmed, your particular infirmity, your particular background would disappoint you.

[6:54] Because the man's particular infirmity, he was important. How do you expect me to be the first to jump into the water? He was important. There's no strength in his body. How can you go into the water and be healed?

[7:07] My Bible says in verse 6, and when Jesus saw him and knew, he had been in this state for a long time. I don't know how many people I'm talking to who God has sent me to let you know.

[7:20] He has seen you and he knows the situation will require heaven. You did not determine your upbringing or your background. You did not determine it. You were born into this neighborhood.

[7:32] You were born into this family. It's a condition you are in. And in the rest of life, you know there's no way you can win. You've tried and tried. The thing is not working for you.

[7:42] But the good news is, verse 6 says that, and when Jesus saw him, he knew that he had been in this state for a long time. Jesus came to him. He said, man, will you be healed?

[7:54] Let me read it. Verse 6. Jesus said unto you, would you be made whole? And then verse 7 says, they put that man said, I've been here for a long time. And then Jesus said to me, Isaac, just rise up.

[8:07] Get up. Go. Take up your bed and go. You've had enough. At least you are trying. Practically telling somebody that's verse 8 is what is going to happen to you.

[8:20] Amen. Amen. That story of I've tried and I can't have my child. I've tried and I can't have my marriage. I can't marry. I can't get a wife. I can't get a husband.

[8:31] I've tried and I can't get a job. I've tried and I mean, you finished your course 15 years ago. Yeah. You can't get a job and not because you can't get it.

[8:44] Just that. Your background doesn't suit the kind of job you are looking for. Wow. Just that the people who can employ you, they don't like your type of person with your background.

[8:56] You are too old a lady they want to. They only go for teenage. For people who have just finished uni, young, young one. But you have finished uni times too. Like your peers are advanced.

[9:10] Or maybe they want a woman. You are a man. Or that role is they want a man and you are a woman. Sometimes your background asks you a question you cannot answer. Sometimes life puts a demand on you.

[9:25] Demands what you don't have to give. And it says, yeah, you have to give it. But I'm here to tell you from today, we are believing God. That verse 8 will be somebody's story.

[9:36] Amen. I'm talking about the supernatural hand of God. Getting engaged in whatever the situation is in your life. Fasting is not just a church activity.

[9:48] Fasting is pulling down the supernatural into the natural. Yes. Esther said, no one can go to the king around this time. It's not safe. You can lose your life.

[10:00] But I need intervention. And so before I take the step, guys, fast for me. And I will also fast with my people. Hallelujah. Afterwards, I will go. And if I perish, I perish.

[10:12] I perish. She needed the fasting to invoke the hand of God on her behalf. Amen. I'm telling you, John chapter 5, you were in verse 5.

[10:25] But you are going to come into verse 8. Amen. Amen. John 5 has always been your story. But you are coming to verse 8 because Jesus is saying to somebody, take up your mat and walk.

[10:42] And when he started walking, holding his mat, catch attention. Thank you for listening. To hear more from David Entry, follow him on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
