As believers, we are the people that do not give up. The Bible tells us that those who endure to the end are the same ones who will be saved. This means that the promise of God is always in reach once we remain on track, living with tomorrow in mind. He who walks with God, and does it God’s way, will always have a better end.
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.
[0:11] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. We are the people who do not give up. We don't get to a place where we say, you know, I'm tired.
[0:24] No. The scriptures say in Matthew chapter 24 verse 13, He that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.
[0:35] In Hebrew it says, you have need of patience. Some translations say, you have need of perseverance. That after you have done the will of God, you will obtain the promise.
[0:51] But the promise of God is always within reach once you stay on track. And I believe that this fasting, listen to me, brothers and sisters, is your fasting.
[1:07] Amen. Sometimes when you are fasting, you get hungry. Yeah. Yeah. But we don't focus on the hunger.
[1:18] We focus on the purpose. Focus on what lies ahead. Bible says that by faith, Moses forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king.
[1:34] Hebrews chapter 11, 24, 25, 26. He chose affliction with the people of God. And Bible says that he didn't care about the king's reaction because he saw him who was invisible.
[1:51] Actually, Bible speaks about how he esteemed the reproach of Christ more than the treasures of Egypt. What are we talking about? What are we talking about? Is it not Moses?
[2:02] Moses never lived in the days of Christ. Christ was not physically around in the days of Moses. But Bible says that Moses esteemed the reproach of Christ. So he had not seen Christ.
[2:16] But all those people were Christ-minded. That's why they were able to live the life of faith to the end. He wasn't living for the now.
[2:28] He was living for tomorrow. There are things you have to do in your life which will make your life matter tomorrow. There is a way to make your life matter.
[2:42] The way some of our young men are rowdy and hungry. It is very foolish to be fighting with your father. It will not be well with you. Listen, you won't go far.
[2:53] This is some of the sins that lead to early death. There are some things where you do, you only die early. Go and ask Ananias and Safira. Wow. They did not lose their salvation, but they died early.
[3:08] It was sin that leads to death. You fight, you insult your father, you hate your father, you insult your mother. Listen, if you are a young person, and because of you, every time your mother is crying on her pillow, you are cursed.
[3:25] Wow. Wow. It is a curse. That is a curse. Unless she is crying because she doesn't want you to do the work of God. And that is a different story because you are operating with a higher authority.
[3:39] You dishonor a parent to the highest level and cause them heartache. Oh. It is not just that it will not be well with you. Your end will be so miserable.
[3:52] Wow. Wow. You can't be a Christian and behave like that. But if you are a Christian, it will still bite you. Yeah. There are people who have become Christians and they are still fighting you because of the way you fought your father.
[4:04] Oh, yeah. Listen, let me say something. Don't join your mother to fight your father. They say somebody and their love affair, former ex, whatever. Don't join them.
[4:16] Nobody can fight your father or your mother and win. If you are not doing it the Bible way. You will not win. Can you imagine if I see soldiers with guns and with this armored car?
[4:32] Seven of them have come on my street and I go and tell them, my friend, I'm going to fight this before. You know, you think I can win that kind of fight? Yeah, no. One of them, one of them alone without a gun.
[4:43] It's not like they can win. Fighting. Seven of them with guns and armored car. Oh, come on. Heavily armed. There are some battles.
[4:53] I don't know why I'm saying this. I didn't plan to talk about this. But there are some battles you will never win when you fight them. Don't allow your father to push you to fight your mother.
[5:05] Don't let them use you as a proxy for their battles. Don't let your mother use you to fight that man. He didn't do it to you. It's her. Your mother use you to fight your mother.
[5:19] It is between the two of them. Stay out of it. Message. Message. We are fasting. If we pray, God, show us the will. This one is stronger than the Lord.
[5:33] Wow. So, I don't know who I'm talking to. But back to the point that I initially was making.
[5:43] We are in an era. What you do today will definitely reflect on what's going to happen tomorrow. I won't ask not to live for today. Moses was looking ahead.
[5:54] Looking on to Jesus. The author of the financial of our faith. Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2. Who for the joy that was set before him. Endure the cross. Endure the pain.
[6:06] Endure the challenge. Endure the seeming shame. Endure the rejection. Endure the marginalization. Stay on the side of God.
[6:17] Endure the judgment. Endure the judgment. The future will always welcome you with laughter and celebrations. Amen. Amen. He who works with God and does it God's way will always have a better end.
[6:34] Amen. Hallelujah. And let me tell you something. When it comes to some temptations that we consider personal. Now, some of those temptations, if you don't fight and deal with it, you will do it again.
[6:49] You will keep doing it. You will keep doing it. Sexual temptations. If you fall into it once and you don't run very far away from it. In six months, you go back to it.
[7:01] After today's regret and cry. Oh, Lord. What happened to me? I shouldn't have done that. I don't know why. Oh, don't worry. Satan is waiting for you to finish crying.
[7:12] You turn up and create a better condition. So, that is why I don't see why you have such secret life. And you are a Christian.
[7:23] And nobody knows you are struggling with that sin. That sin will never leave you. Oh, you see you are fasting. You are fasting about it. One of the ways to deal with it. Talk about it. Not only fasting.
[7:34] Talk about it and expose it. Tell somebody. I know some of the brothers. They make an agreement among themselves. And they are loyal to it. He said, anytime I go and watch some things, I will come and confess to you.
[7:49] You are struggling with something. You must be open about it. Come clean and open. Open up. Talk. That guy you have started chatting with secretly. Talk about it to somebody. And stop it.
[8:00] In other words, don't privatize the sin. Don't hide it. Don't hide it. Because Satan will use it to pull you down. Because some of you, this fasting has changed everything for you.
[8:13] Amen. It has led some messy past. And has rearranged the future. But if you are not careful, Satan is coming back. Do you know when Satan came to them?
[8:25] He says, Matthew chapter 4, verse 1 to 3. When he has ended the fast, Satan said, okay, now let's talk about food first. Towards the end of the fast, Satan is not getting ready.
[8:38] But he will be disappointed in your life in the name of Jesus. Amen. He will not win in your life in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. In Habakkuk chapter 2, verse 1, it says that, I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower and will watch to see what he shall say unto me and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
[9:00] And the Lord answered me and said, write the vision and make it plain upon the tables that he may run that reach it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time.
[9:14] But at the end it shall speak and not lie. Do it. Taris. Wait for it. Because it will surely come.
[9:25] It will not taris. Though the vision delays. It says that, I will stand upon my watch and see what he will say to me. I will stand upon my watch and see where God speaks. He said, I want to see what he will say.
[9:37] When he speaks, he speaks in pictures. To see what he will say. Wow. Okay. How I will answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me and said, what has he got to say?
[9:48] It's about tomorrow. Write the vision. Write the vision. What is speaking? What is dropping in your heart? Write it down. Make it plain. Don't worry about it. Don't be so quick to get instant results now.
[10:01] Look up. Because the vision is for an appointed time. Even though it delays, it will not tarry. It shall come to pass. Your vision will come to pass.
[10:13] Hallelujah. Amen. Your vision will come to pass. Amen. As I quoted Elian, Moses looked far. Jesus looked far. And Bible talks about how Psalm 105, verse 18, 19, and 20.
[10:30] It talks about how Joseph, they bound his feet with fetters. Let me read it. He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant, whose feet they had with fetters.
[10:42] He was laid in iron. Until, everybody say until. Until. Until. Until. Until. Until the time that his word came. The word of the Lord tried him.
[10:54] The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the people, and let him go. He made him lord of his house and a ruler of all his substance to burn his praises.
[11:05] And it goes on. But he was put in chains. He went through a season until a certain time. Life is made up of seasons. Thank you for listening.
