[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests His word and nourishes our spirits.

[0:12] May the life of God enter into you anew as you listen to this message. Be blessed. Somebody shout hallelujah. I wanted to tell you about the prayer of faith.

[0:23] The prayer of faith. In James chapter 5 verse 15. Now, and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up.

[0:40] Did you see that? The prayer of faith, it saves the sick. This is not salvation from hell, but salvation from the sick situation.

[0:51] Prayer of faith will save the sick. Prayer of faith will save the sick. Prayer of faith is saving the sick.

[1:04] What is this prayer of faith? What constitutes prayer of faith? Because, Pastor, I need to pray. Prayer of faith is not only for sick. It's for any condition.

[1:15] But what is a prayer of faith? And look at verse 16. He said, confess your foes to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. Now, look at the next verse. He said, the next point.

[1:25] He said, the effective fervent prayer of the righteous avails man. The prayer of faith is an effective fervent prayer.

[1:38] An effective fervent prayer. Some of you believe in other people's prayers more than your prayers. Why? I know why. The things that don't make prayers get answered. Number one of all of them is when you are not walking with God.

[1:53] If you don't walk with God, it doesn't guarantee answered prayers. How can you walk with God you are not obeying? So it stands to imply that when you are walking in obedience, it facilitates answers to your prayers.

[2:08] So when people, the reason why people don't believe in their prayer is they believe someone else should pray for them.

[2:20] It's faster and stronger. One of the fundamental reasons is because they are not walking with God the way they should. So what is the prayer of faith?

[2:33] And how do I practice the prayer of faith so I can have the results? How can I engage in the prayer of faith or effective fervent prayers?

[2:43] The prayer that gets results. How do I engage in the prayer of faith? How do I engage in prayer? How can I make my prayer get results?

[2:58] The prayer that gets results. Time will not permit me to say. How many of us believe God answers prayers? Yeah, it does.

[3:09] So why is it that our prayers are not getting answers? Now, today I won't cover all the spectrum of what the answer prayers. But I'll cover the prayer of faith.

[3:22] What is the prayer of faith? I need you to write these points down. To engage in the prayer of faith. What is the prayer of faith?

[3:33] The prayer of faith is the prayer that has the absolute yieldedness and confidence in God. Absolute yieldedness and confidence.

[3:44] So you are yielded. Like Jesus said, let your will be done. It's yieldedness and confidence in God. Absolute. Total yieldedness and total confidence.

[3:58] In God. That is what determines the prayer of faith. Thank you Jesus. So it's absolute, absolute yieldedness and confidence in God.

[4:13] The God of oneness. The God who answers prayers. The confidence is that God is faithful. God. So now, how do you engage in prayer of faith?

[4:24] Number one, you must know. There are things you have to know. What should you know? Know that God actually answers prayers. How many of us have prayed before and you prayed and you feel maybe God won't answer this prayer?

[4:37] Or how many of us have ever asked this question? Does God really answer our prayers? Does it really answer prayers? There are times, okay. How many of us have prayed before and you didn't see the answer?

[4:48] I believe that there are some of us here, you have more on answer prayers than answer prayers. Master, but God, why?

[5:00] Why is God not hearing you? I'm calling you. He's not hearing you. I don't listen to me. Number one, prayer of faith is the prayer that knows, the one praying knows that God answers prayers.

[5:14] You just know. You just know. So when you are coming to God, you come with the confidence and assurance that God answers prayers. 1 John 5, verse 14.

[5:27] The Bible says that, and this is the confidence we have in Him. That when we pray according to Him, that this is the confidence we have in Him. That if we ask anything according to Him, what happens?

[5:39] He hears us. So it's a confidence you must have. Without this confidence, your prayer will suffer amnesia. Your prayer will suffer loss of results.

[5:53] Because this is a necessary aspect, a necessary platform, a necessary foundation for prayer. Effective prayer or for prayer of faith. The necessary foundation for prayer of faith is that you must have this confidence.

[6:10] I told you. Absolute yieldedness and confidence. You must have this confidence that when we pray, God, if we ask anything according to His, He hears us.

[6:22] He hears us. The next verse says that, and we know. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know. You are so sure that He will do it.

[6:36] You are so sure that He will do it. That's the confidence. You have such trust in God. That you tell Nebuchadnezzar, listen. If you put us in the fire, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us in the book of Daniel.

[6:53] And even if He does not deliver us, we want you to know, we will not bow to you. He will deliver us. That's no problem. But just a caveat. That we are not trusting Him because He will deliver us.

[7:06] We are trusting Him because He is our God. Period. So whether He will do something or He won't do, that's not why we are not bowing. Some people will do some things, will obey instructions of God because they know the blessing of God is following.

[7:22] So then they wait and wait. When they are not seeing the blessing, at the time they wanted to see the blessing, they begin to say, Oh, God has let me down. No. They will give their offering. They will give their tithe. But they time it with a certain date.

[7:36] If this doesn't happen, then God has let me down. The Hebrew boy said that, listen, we are not doing this because He is going to save us. We are doing this because He is our God.

[7:46] Period. And our allegiance is to Him. But if not, let it be known, oh, King. That verse 17. God whom we serve, you see, we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace.

[8:04] And He will deliver us from your hand, oh, King. However, I want you to know, even if He does not do that, if He does not be known unto you, if not, let it be known to you that we will, okay, that we will not serve your God.

[8:19] No, we will worship the body because it's not part of that. We are not even considering God not doing it, so let's consider your offer. We are not considering any offer because God will do it.

[8:30] But we are not obeying God because He is faithful. We are obeying God because He is our object of obedience, our object of worship, and our allegiance is to Him. Okay.

[8:40] But the point is that they know that God will deliver them. Didn't God deliver them? Yes, He did. I see God delivering you. I see God delivering you in the mighty name of Jesus.

[8:53] So, God delivers. So, when we are praying, you have to have this absolute confidence and absolute note that God answers prayers. Number two, consider the word of God, what God has said.

[9:09] Time will not permit me to go into other scriptures, but suffice it for me to mention this. In fact, before I go to the number two, I left this scripture.

[9:20] James chapter 1 verse 6, 7, 8. That scripture is very scary. It's a very scary scripture. Let's start from verse 5. If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives liberally without reproach and it to be given.

[9:37] So, if you ask God, it will be given to you. Because God gives freely. That liberal means that He's very free. God is very liberal in giving. He's not using a lot of things against you. When you come to God, He doesn't use a lot of things against you.

[9:51] He's finding ways how He can actually do things for you to glorify His name in your life. Now, verse 6 says that, But let him ask in faith with no doubting.

[10:06] For he who doubts is like the wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Look at the next verse. Very scary one. This is a scary one. For let not that man suppose that he will receive any.

[10:18] Ah, there are some things God said, don't bother. You won't get it. There are some people God said, you don't think you'll get anything from me. Can you imagine? Like your mother tells you, if you don't watch the dishes, don't think.

[10:29] If you don't go to school, don't think I'll buy that thing for you at Christmas. Don't dream. I won't do it. God said, if the Bible says that, if you don't come to God in faith.

[10:40] He said, don't think that you'll receive anything from God. That was yours. So maybe, there are plenty of unsaid prayers we have been receiving. Maybe this scripture, we haven't put it in practice.

[10:54] So you have to come with faith. Knowing that God unsaid prayers. Knowing that, look at verse 8. Knowing that God unsaid. Because a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

[11:05] God doesn't like that. Just, are you trusting me? Then just trust me. If you are trusting God for your marriage, do it well. Do it well. If you are trusting God for that job, do it well.

[11:19] I know a certain pastor. Years ago. Years ago, he told me that somebody wanted to help me. He was like, he traveled from another country to United Kingdom.

[11:33] So he was trying to regularize his stay. And some of you might be aware that sometimes that can be a very long battle. So, the shortcut which some people tend to do, which was not right, is someone told him, he's married with his wife here.

[11:49] And then someone told him, a member of his church, the pastor. This is the people I think. Let's, why don't we do marriage? We are not married. But we can just fake it that we are married. And we will send it to the home office.

[12:01] And I can help you process your papers within a short time list about 15 years ago. Yeah. Exactly. The pastor looked at him. Because that time, in fact, I remember, he used to live in Deford.

[12:13] The home office wrote a letter to him that if you have 28 days to leave this country. So, he packed his things. As soon as you see the letter, the next day, he packed his things and went to look for someone, somebody's house to pack.

[12:27] Because, pet. Trouble. Open trouble. Some of you don't know what I'm talking about. Some of you, too, know what I'm talking about. Like, you have heard stories like that before. And then, suddenly, someone tells you, I want to help you.

[12:39] I'm a British citizen. I want to help you. I was born and bred. I want to help you. I just want us to do like we are married. And then, the pastor said, no. Let me die trusting God. Then, live in unbelief.

[12:53] The pastor said, no. I won't do it. I know that it can be easy. Roots. When you are young, I'm young. My wife will understand it. I don't live with you. You are just family friends.

[13:05] So, once I do it, in two years, we divorce. And I will marry my wife. And then sell her papers. And then it will cover everybody. But, the pastor said, I remember he told me, Pastor, this is what this person said.

[13:20] I won't do it. I want to be free and know that, in fact, another person was also offered that if you can, I can adopt you so you can change your surname to something like that.

[13:30] He said, no. I want to be free to know I am working with God. You know, the pastor said, I want to trust God and do the right thing. I want to trust God to the end.

[13:42] And as I speak, I think about 10 years or 15 years ago, didn't it take too long? Four years later, everything was sorted for him.

[13:53] Legally, rightly, to lawyers and stuff like that. He got his leave to remain and then his children, all their British passports, everything. He travels everywhere comfortably.

[14:05] And when you say, okay, we have to, you know, sometimes you go somewhere and they put your name in the computer. You're wondering, oh my God, I hope nothing is going to come up. I hope nothing is going to come up. No, he didn't have any squamms, any fear.

[14:18] Now, why am I bringing this story? If you are trusting God for your marriage, for your business, for your career, do it right. Do it right.

[14:29] Trust him to the end. Trust him. Don't be double-minded. Maybe you'll do it. So if you are praying and you can't be confident enough that God answers your prayers, it's going to be a problem.

[14:42] Let me add the next one. As I said, the word of God. So first one is know that God answers prayers. Second one is consider God's verdict.

[14:54] What has God said? What has God said? That's the word of God. The scripture we read again in 1 John 5, verse 14. It says, this is the confidence that we have with him.

[15:05] That when we pray, if we pray according to his will. Okay. That if we, not when we, if we, the problem is sometimes we might not pray according to his will. The will of God is the word.

[15:17] The word of God is the will of God. The word of God is the will of God. So if I pray according to God's will, if that's why you can't afford not knowing the word of God.

[15:29] We know that if we pray according to his word, he hears us. Pray according to God's word. Pray according to his will. And then focus your mind. This is a very strong term.

[15:41] I'm about to make a stronger point. Focus your mind on the verse. What God's word has said. Not what situations have said or are saying. Abraham, when he was believing God for a child.

[15:52] His body was telling, his body told him that listen, you are too old to have a child. And your wife is too old to carry a baby. Their body, the evidence, clinical evidence were there. But Bible says, Abraham did not consider his body.

[16:06] That was now dead. Romans chapter 4 verse 19. Now, I prefer the amplified. Amplified, posted. He did not weaken in faith when he considered.

[16:23] You see, when he considered the utter impotence of it. He looked at his body and he realized that this thing is utter impotence. Then King James said, he did not consider it. In other words, he knew the situation, but he didn't make it the final condition.

[16:36] So he considered not his own body. That was not now dead. He looked at it. You are aware of what is going on. You have the letter, but you know that God can do better than this letter.

[16:47] This medical report. God can do. God can do it. And I'm here to tell you, believe. Put your faith in God. Don't try God. Trust God. Don't try God. Trust God.

[16:58] Don't try God. Trust God. God is real. God is here. Don't try God. Trust God. Put your faith like Abraham did. He believed at God.

[17:09] Whatever God has promised, he was also able to perform it. In the verse 20, verse 21. I was saying, he did not waver at it. He did not stagger at it.

[17:20] Being fully convinced that what he had promised, he was also able. Verse 20. He did not stagger. Stagger not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory.

[17:33] Verse 21 says that what? And being fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was also able to perform. This one, the full confidence, full persuasion, unreserved yieldedness and persuasion and confidence in God.

[17:53] That is what brings the prayer of faith. When you are praying and you have this unreserved yieldedness that let your word be. What you have said in your word. I don't care how I feel.

[18:04] I don't care what I see. What you have said in your word is good enough for me. That is why every believer must always have this word open and you are looking into it to find out what God is saying.

[18:16] When you are reading your Bible, always look at what you can use as a prayer topic. Can I say that again? When you read your Bible, always look. One of the things you should look for is what can I use as a prayer topic and write it down.

[18:29] So when you are praying, you see, you saw that God has blessed Jacob. Jacob and Joseph was prospering in the house of Potiphar. That means you can also do well in your career. So you use it as a prayer.

[18:40] Point. You write it down. You use it as a prayer point. Pray the word. God cannot say no to his word. Prayer of faith.

[18:51] I see someone's story changing. This year, this year will be so good for you. If you are in a major situation, a major crisis situation, I prophesy to you that may heaven bring you a change of story.

[19:05] May heaven bring you a change of story. May heaven deliver your change of story to you now. Faith is the master key. And the prayer of faith is always guaranteed to deliver.
