This Is By The Decree Of The Watchers

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Habakkuk chapter 2.

[0:23] The Bible says, I will stand upon my watch and see what he shall say to me.

[0:37] And I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower and will watch to see what he will say to me.

[0:49] Not to hear. When God speaks, he speaks in pictures. So he said, I will watch to see what he shall say to me. Normally you hear what he said. But that's why he said, I will stand.

[1:01] When you put yourself in a certain position, you are more poised to be able to see God or hear God in a unique way than anybody.

[1:15] Wow. So one encounter from God can be responsible for a lifetime of breakthrough, laughter, blessings.

[1:31] Just one encounter with God. So he says, I will stand upon my watch, not somebody's watch, and set me upon the tower.

[1:46] Those days, every city has a tower and watchmen stand on the tower and watch from far. And the tower is usually very high.

[1:57] So they can see from afar when the enemy is coming from a distance. And they sound the alarm to the people in the city or in the town.

[2:08] So he said, I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower. You are a watchman over your family. Wow. There are some things, as long as you are around, they are forbidden from happening in your family.

[2:25] Yes. Yes, yes. Yeah. But unfortunately, some things are happening in your family that are not glorious, that are not good at all, look so bad. How come you are there and something like this is happening?

[2:38] Not that you are going to fight or you are going to, no, no, I mean fight anybody, or you are going to do something to somebody. No, but you have to win the battle on your knees.

[2:51] You are a watchman. You are a watchman. In Daniel, I think chapter 4, verse 35 to 37, somewhere there, it says that this is by the decree of the watchmen or the watchers.

[3:06] This is by the decree. What's the decree? Declaration. That's right. They have made, you say something into law. It's the decree. It's by the decree of the watchers.

[3:17] This matter is by the decree of the watchers. That's right. So when you are a watcher, you are supposed to decree. So you look from afar and you don't, you see, you don't make decisions and say things based on what everybody inside the world is seeing.

[3:34] You are on a tower. So you should see farther. When they are saying everything looks okay, you should be able to see farther and say, no, it looks like there's an enemy approaching. And then you decree everybody take cover.

[3:46] Everybody move. So he said this shall be by the decree of the watchers. Unfortunately, there are people, God has, you are in your family, God has raised you as a watcher, but you are not performing or taking that responsibility, stepping in the function of a watcher.

[4:02] Wow. Thank God. Wow. You are not stepping in. So Satan is having a field trip or a field day in your family, in your, in your school, in your uni, anything that is around you.

[4:16] You must make, he said, if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. He said, I'm here from heaven and heal their land, their land.

[4:27] So the healing, the healing and land and joy has everything to do with the people of God in the land. One, not just being a people of God. One, people of God in the land.

[4:38] One, and two, who are seeking the face of God. Praying. So that is the job of a watcher. That's right. A watcher stands upon your watch.

[4:49] You stand upon your watch. He said, I will stand upon my watch. I will stand upon my watch. He said, this shall be by the decree of the watches.

[5:01] This matter is by the decree of the watches and demand and demand by the word of the holy ones. Now that one holy ones is not talking about God.

[5:12] He's talking about those who have a relationship with God. That's right. It's by our word. That's right. Wow. To the intent that the living may know that the most high rules in the kingdoms of men.

[5:23] When you read Adam, she said, the most high rules in the affairs of men. God rules in the affairs of men. I think NIV or New King James uses the word.

[5:35] God rules in the affairs of men. The most high rule it in the kingdom of men. He rules in the affairs of men. And guess what?

[5:45] He gives it to whoever he will and set it up over the basis of men. It doesn't matter. The person might be very low, but God can choose to set this low person on a high plan to rule.

[6:02] You didn't realize I was describing you. Wow. Amen. He says that this is by the decree of the watches.

[6:13] New King James, please. He said, this matter is by the, this decision is by the decree of the watches and the sentence by the word of the holy ones in order that the living, those who are alive.

[6:26] Those who are dead, they'll find out later. But those who are alive, the living may know that the most high rulers or rules in the kingdoms of men gives it to whoever he will.

[6:38] Wow. I see. Whoever I'm talking about right now. Amen. God will give it to whoever God wills and sets over it the lowest of men.

[6:50] So don't worry about your background, your mother's status, your father's status, your family status. Doesn't matter. If you can work with God, he will use you to change matters in the course of time.

[7:04] Amen. So he said, we don't see that because we are, some of us are not operating as watches. You are not operating as watches.

[7:14] Look at what is going on with the family. Look at what is going on around you. How come you are around, you are there, but your presence, your spiritual authority is not felt.

[7:27] Not by the big words you say. Not by carrying a big Bible. Not even by quotations. But you, you go into your closet.

[7:38] Get on your knees and win the battle. And when they are celebrating, you know where it's coming from. Wow. That's true. That is the platform upon which Melchizedek in Genesis chapter 14 verse 18.

[7:51] The platform upon which he came to meet Abraham after the slaughter of the kings. Yes. Yes. The Bible says that, and Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought bread and wine.

[8:04] He was the priest of the most high. Next verse. And he blessed him and said, watch this. Blessed be Abraham of God most high, possessor of heaven and earth.

[8:17] And so what? That's good. And blessed be God most high, who has delivered. Where were you? He was not on the battlefield. How did he know God delivered Abraham's enemies into Abraham's hands?

[8:36] Wow. Abraham just went to go and deliver a lot of enemies. But this king, this king is telling Abraham, I know it wasn't your battle. It's not just your skillful fighters.

[8:47] No. It was actually God was the one who practically took the victory and handed it to you. How did this man knew? Because he was in the place of intercession.

[8:59] That's right. That's right. Oh, wow. He was in the place of intercession. So when the victory came, he knew where. Abraham didn't say, God gave me the victory. Abraham didn't say that. Abraham said, I won't take anything from you, king of Salem.

[9:11] So you don't say, I've made Abraham rich. He knew God will make him rich. But he didn't say, God gave him the victory. It was Melchizedek, the priest of the most high. What's the job of a priest?

[9:21] A priest is like a watchman. A priest stands in the gap. A priest stands in the gap between God and man. That is why in Hebrews chapter 8, verse 1, in Hebrews chapter 5, verse 1, 2, and 3, he said, every high priest is appointed from, is chosen from amongst men, is appointed unto men to offer.

[9:40] Oh, come on. He said, now the main point we are talking about, it says that, for every high priest taken from amongst men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God. So he's appointed to stand in the gap concerning God.

[9:55] So when it comes to dealing with matters concerning God, I say, okay, this high priest is there to do that. And every high priest is taken from, he must be a man. That is why Melchizedek couldn't have been an angel.

[10:07] He was a full man. He was a man. The only mystery about Melchizedek is we didn't know who his mother was or his father was. But he was a man. And every high priest is taken from among men, appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he might offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

[10:29] For sins. So he's appointed to stand in the gap between man and God. Look at the next verse. It says that he, he can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray.

[10:41] Why? Since he himself is also a human being. He's also a human being. That is why you can stand in the gap for your younger sister. You can, because you're part of the family.

[10:52] No one can pray for your family like you. I can declare things, but it's, I actually even didn't know what your family is going through. I didn't know what your dad has just done.

[11:03] I didn't know what your mom is going through. I didn't, I didn't know. I didn't know what your sister, the problems your sister is bringing on the family. How would I know? But you know it. And even if you tell me, I might not feel it like the way you feel it.

[11:18] He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. So out, out, out, out of your frustration and your pain, when you pour out your heart before God, for the matter in your family, for the matters concerning them, because you are taking from amongst them to represent them before God.

[11:39] Stop condemning family members and start praying for them. Stop condemning that. You are always like this. You are always like this. You are condemning your mom, condemning your father, because you are the holy one, and we can't feel the holy impact of the holy one.

[11:54] He says, this is the decree of the holy ones. We don't feel the holy impact of your so-called holy one. All we can feel is your noisy tongues.

[12:08] One-way tongues every day. That is all.

[12:22] There is. I'm not saying it's bad. It's not bad. It's not bad. Don't get me wrong. But there must be more to that. That's right. That's right. There must be more to that. And if you are growing in your journey in the Holy Ghost, your prayer language, those people whose prayers are every one prayer star, you can't know that they are there.

[12:40] Because it is always monosyllable. One way. One syllable. Kon laki. Kon laki. Kon laki. Kon laki. You've been speaking in tongues for the past one year.

[12:52] For the past two years. It's always kon laki. One child. One child starts to talk. They don't say. They start with mama. Mama. Baba. Baba. Baba. But they don't stay there.

[13:03] No. They don't stay there. Oh, I feel like preaching. You have to say. I see somebody go.

[13:14] Amen. He said. I went up. I see somebody going up. Kadabashaka.

[13:28] So it's important to understand that you are not born in your family by accident.

[13:40] Some of you are blaming your family. Listen, let me say this. If you are very discontented with your family, you are not being smart.

[13:52] Because you never asked to be born in that family. And you can't change it. But you are not smart because you haven't realized that actually God has an assignment for you.

[14:04] Concerning the things you are complaining about. Yeah. Yeah. He said, our son. He said, this shall be by the decree of the watches.

[14:16] So you look at what is going on in your family. And you package this into a prayer request to God. So when the victory shows up, you know where it's coming from.

[14:29] That's right. When they tell you, finally, your granddad is out of hospital. Meanwhile, initially, they said they are not sure if this one will come out of hospital. It might take quite a few weeks. And within two days, you went on your knees.

[14:42] You came on the Zoom. You are calling out on the name of the Lord. You are crying out to God. Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, God. Do something. Intervene. Turn the situation around.

[14:52] Turn the situation around. And suddenly, you go home. And then you hear that the doctor said they don't know. Something has changed. It's coming. You see, the people who don't believe in prayer, you don't have to explain to them.

[15:04] But you know that something has changed because you changed it. That's right. It shall be by the decree of the watcher. So in Habakkuk chapter 2, verse 1, he said, I will stand upon my rampant.

[15:17] I will stand upon my watch. He said, I will stand upon my watch, because you are a watchman, and set myself upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me.

[15:31] So we are not watching just to see what is going on. We are also watching to see what he will say unto us. I will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I will answer when I am reproved, I'm corrected.

[15:48] I will watch. I will watch. In other words, where I've gotten it wrong, I need the hand of God, and the wisdom of God, and the insight of God to help me correct it and sort it out.

[16:00] When my negative past, my mistakes come up against me and challenge me, I will see how I will answer. If you go on your watches, don't be so worried about the past.

[16:14] You can handle the past when you get on the tower. You can handle it because you see what you say, and what I shall answer. Bending your ears to what God is saying.

[16:27] My answer, how do I know if God is talking to me? Simple answer. I'll give you three answers. Number one, listen to the message I preach on how to hear from God.

[16:43] Number two, God is talking to you now as you are hearing. You know it. God does not speak Arabic to people who don't hear Arabic, who don't understand Arabic.

[16:55] So, if God wants to speak to you, you won't come speaking in Yoruba when you don't understand Yoruba. In other words, when God is speaking to you, you will know that, hmm, I'm being told something.

[17:08] Your spirit will bear witness inside you. It will tell you, ah, has pastor said something? Somebody told pastor something? Or has this, how do you even notice what I was just thinking about? Yes.

[17:19] I don't have a clue. I do not have a clue. I just came that God speak to somebody through me. So, how do you know God is speaking to you? I'm telling you.

[17:30] You know it. You know. You know God is telling you, break that nasty relationship. You know it. Why? Because I don't understand why you've been born again. You've come to church. You are still so attached to that.

[17:42] You are still so addicted to a boy. Stand upon your watch. Ah, yes. Well, so, he said, I will stand upon my watch and see what he will say to me.

[17:57] I will stand upon my watch and set myself upon the tower. And I want to see what he will say to me and what I shall answer when I am pre-proved. Verse 2. And the Lord answered me.

[18:09] You see, God answers people who won't. You see that, take note on the word answered. It is said the Lord said to me. The Lord answered. So, that means my heart position was almost like a question.

[18:24] So, he was answering the question. You answer questions. The Lord answered. So, when you set yourself in a certain way, heaven has nothing else but answers.

[18:35] And the Lord answered me and said, write the vision. Make it plain upon the tablet that he may render reach it. Once you begin to set the course, people will come around you or either shape up or shape out.

[18:52] Wow. Because you have made it clear, your direction, what you are focusing on. And so, it begins to govern your decisions and govern your direction and everything.

[19:05] So, you put it together. And people come to you and they know what you stand for. It's governing your. So, it's plain. It's plain. And anyone who flows with you comes to you and read it.

[19:18] It will run with you. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. The next verse says, for the vision is for an appointed time. But in the end, he shall speak. Yesterday, I spoke about it in the end.

[19:30] In the end. Today, I want you to know that something is ready to speak. Amen. Amen. It will speak at the end.

[19:42] And it will not tarry. Wait for it because it will surely come to pass. It will not tarry. Amen. It will not tarry.

[19:53] It will not lie. Though it tarry. Wait for it. It will not tarry. Yesterday, I explained. The thing is tarry. And you say, it's tarry, but it's not tarry. The first tarry is our own estimation and opinion.

[20:07] The second tarry is God. God is never late. He's always on time. I have a sense.

[20:18] I sense in my spirit, there are a lot of household family testimonies. Amen. He said that the vision is for an appointed time.

[20:30] At the end, it shall speak. Though it tarries. Wait for it. It shall not lie. And it shall come to pass. Though it will wait for it because it will surely come. There is a surety about how it manifested.

[20:43] Because you heard from God. You set yourself upon your tower. As a watchman. From today, remember. Maybe if you never know, I'm telling you now.

[20:55] And remember God who holds you responsible for Satan having an upper hand in your family around you. You have to stop it. You have to go on your knees and stop it on your knees.

[21:08] Pray. As you fast. As we declare fasting. Some things will change through this fasting. Amen. I said some things will change through this fasting. Amen.

[21:19] Some things will change through this fasting. Amen. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. I see God fighting for you. Amen. I see God stretching his hand to 10 situations.

[21:30] Amen. I see God bringing you fast results. Amen. I see God being testified. Amen. Miraculous results. Amen. Supernatural results. Amen. I see it happening.

[21:41] Amen. I see it happening. Amen. I see it happening. Amen. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. So shall it be.
