Getting Your Prayers Answered

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:11] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory to Jesus.

[0:27] Glory to Jesus. Praise God. Bible says, with joy you will draw out water from the wells of salvation.

[0:39] Isaiah chapter 12 verse 3. With joy we shall dwell. Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

[0:50] The wells of salvation, if you want to draw from the wells of salvation, your drawing apparatus, your drawing apparatus, your bucket to draw water is your joy.

[1:05] Jesus met the woman at the well in John chapter 4. And Jesus asked her for water. And she said to Jesus that you being a Jew and I being a Samaritan, how come a Samaritan woman, not even a Jewish woman, a Samaritan woman, how come you are asking me of water for Jews and Samaritans don't have any dealing?

[1:32] And Jesus said, you are moving into politics and tribalism and racism and segregation and stuff like that.

[1:43] But if you knew the gift of God, you will put away that nonsense. If you knew the gift of God and who it is, who is telling you.

[1:56] Sometimes we fail to recognize the messenger through whom God is going to change your story. Jesus said, if you knew what God had in stock for you.

[2:08] And you also, two things you have to know. If you knew the gift of God and who it is, who is saying to you, give me to drink. It's not about him.

[2:19] He doesn't need your water. But he needs you to be blessed. So he's intentionally giving you a demand, an instruction.

[2:31] God always, the blessings of God always come to us in an overall quote of instructions and work. He said, if you knew the gift of God.

[2:45] Listen, never join unbelievers or people whose fire is tamed, whose spiritual life is comatose.

[2:56] Never join them in disdaining or marginalizing or trivializing the things of God and for that matter, the blessing of God. So, but the point I want to draw your attention to is, many people who are not with God don't actually know the gift that God has for them.

[3:17] We are here because we know what God can do. Kabana, Shaka, Taya, Hallelujah. We are here because we know God is real and God is here.

[3:40] God is real and God is here. Shut God I believe. Lord I believe. Jesus said if you knew the gift of God your problem is what you don't know that's what I told you you can't love God without knowing you see you never know I may even love God more than you please please please you cannot love without knowing you can't you can't be in love without knowing do you really love the guy I don't know I don't think you do because when you laugh you will know you do he said he said that if you knew the gift of God and you knew who it is who says do you give me to drink you would have you would have asked him and he would have given you not this water by type of different type of water and because her mindset was so natural do you know what she did she she the woman said say you have nothing to draw with that's where I'm coming by it's good to it's good to just enjoy the scripture a little bit

[4:53] I just like basking myself in scriptures you know it is good to just bask in the understanding and in the reading of scripture so he says that the woman said to him say you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep but who told you he was talking and then where where then do you get that living water someone who is asking for water is telling you I have living water so why don't you drink it yourself if you look at things from natural humanistic or human natural or human point of view you might think that what Jesus is saying is border dash you might think that well there's no point he doesn't to use my American best American English he he doesn't have not got nothing England he's not got nothing he's not got nothing he's not got nothing so that is in in in England we say he's got nothing but in America they say he's not got nothing you know so he thinks that

[6:05] Jesus doesn't have it but he does he does if you knew who he is you knew the gift of God and you knew who he is who is asking you that come for prayers you won't let an unbeliever who doesn't know or a backsliding believer a backsliding Christian who doesn't really prioritize the things of God the things of God are last on their list unless they are in trouble you won't let them tell you how you should pursue God but watch this the woman made a point which is common sense she said you don't have anything to draw with how are you going to get the water because she could tell that Jesus that in everybody it's common sense to know when you get to a well first of all to get the water out you need something to draw with you need something to draw with and Isaiah said salvation is like a well there are wells of salvation and to draw from what is inside you need joy you need joy joyfulness hallelujah

[7:16] Satan will try and throw everything at you to keep you down to keep you depressed to keep you frustrated but you know what let him know that it is too late for him to keep you down you cannot be kept down you cannot be kept down you cannot and guess what God has given us the privilege to come back every evening to come back to draw from the waters of life the living waters to come and draw to come and draw to come listen anytime we come together in fellowship your first thing is make sure that your heart is light towards God your heart is ready towards God God I love you God I love you I'm happy Bible says that whom you love you have not seen you love with joy unspeakable full of glory there is joy it is a joyful love it is a joyful love 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 8 it is a joyful love you love with joy having not seen in whom though you see him yes believing rejoicing with joy unspeakable full of glory having not seen yet having not seen he love we love believing with joy with joy unspeakable believing with joy living and rejoicing with joy unspeakable joy unspeakable joy unspeakable in Romans chapter 14 verse 17 it says that righteousness peace come on come on righteousness peace come on and what joy joy joy in the Holy Ghost joy in the Holy Ghost when Jesus told the disciples that I'm about to go to the Father the Bible says that their hearts were filled with sorrow

[9:05] Jesus said your hearts are filled with sorrow is it because I told you I'm going John chapter 16 from verse 6 is it because I told you I'm going to the Father your heart is filled with sorrow he said no you don't know sorrow has filled your heart because I'm going he said it is expedient for you that I go that means it's to your advantage listen it is to your advantage we are having these meetings amen not to God's it's to our advantage it's to it's not common it's not common to have a place where it looks like almost every evening you can and you you can trust that there's clear clean teaching of God's word God's word has the preeminence of everything we do because the Bible says that in the church Christ will have the preeminence so the word of God must have the preeminence now where you can go and God's word is preeminent and it's not like someone is trying to get something from you but we are doing everything possible to get something of God to you that's the agenda the purpose of this is to get something of God to you as you make yourself available and come to draw as you are drawing something of God is being transmitted into us is being transmitted into us is being transmitted into us something of God is being passed on into us is being transmitted so it's to your advantage that this meeting is together it's to your advantage as I told you the other time

[10:33] Mary she was on a program to get him married Mary and the angel said okay before you get married you are going to get pregnant and that that in natural terms means going to disrupt potentially even disrupt your marriage and you might not even get married but Mary said okay let it be according to let it be to me according to verse 38 Luke 1 let me behold I'm God's servant I'm just God's handmaiden or God's made servant I'm just there servant choose to be classified and identified as a servant of God someone who is who serves God your joy it's just you want to be known not as a leader in church but as a servant a servant and you are willing to serve God's people serve God's people from any capacity whether from behind from the side from the middle from below you don't mind you just want to serve them that God will use you as a conduit to transmit transfer convey grace a blessing to somebody through you this is when you say you can say that you are actually living for God you are living for God when you are living for God you live for God when he is flowing through you you become like the water hose through which the water flows to the garden water hose you are the pipe through which the gas is flowing or the water is flowing or the oil is flowing somewhere else you are the pipe and God is looking for pipes or let me use the biblical terminology vessels vessels are meant to contain contain substances outside of themselves so God made us so he can put himself into us so we can be the channel of blessings so that God can get himself into somebody through you that is when you can say you really are serving God you are a servant of God

[12:29] Mary said behold I am the handmaid or maidservant maidservant maidservant please don't let us think God's servant is a special title no it's actually sending a signal it's not a special title it is not a special title it is actually a very very low it means that someone who is willing to do anything reduce yourself if that means that's what it means so that God can use you to serve his people you are there to be used by God and his people not for you to use people for what you want but for people to use you to get to God wow so if I am not even giving anything but people are using me like a ladder to God I think that's the biggest achievement in life greatest accomplishment in life is that people are getting to God through you hallelujah

[13:32] Mary said I am the main servant of the Lord let it be unto me according to your word God I give up whatever you want to do it might disrupt my life but I don't mind you might call it a disruption but guess what Bible said all generations shall call this Mary who allow God to disrupt the program all generations shall call her blessed wow God coming into your life is not to take from your life because God is not a robber when God when you give to God you are not throwing anything away you are actually investing into your future where it multiplies and gets back to you anything you give to God your energy your resource your wisdom your abilities your ego anything you sacrifice you give to God never lives your life because God is not a robber he doesn't take from people he always is a God who has taught us that it is more blessed to give than to receive so he will always give to us nobody can out give God you cannot give and out give God you cannot give so much of your energy you cannot give so much of your human resources or so much of your abilities your intelligence for the work of God to save God's people you cannot give and out give God

[14:50] God will always out give you he didn't tell Abraham when Abraham gave his best he said because you have done this thing see what I will also do Abraham he said hey Abraham Genesis chapter 22 verse 15 he said Abraham because thou has done this thing this thing you have done what has he done by willing to give the most valuable possession in his life to God some of us it might not be money you know because it's actually easier to give money than to give of yourself God has never asked people that give me your cash he's always said give me your heart there are people who like to go to church churches that may overemphasize or give it give it give it give it bring bring bring bring and so people who are able to give money look very important you become so important because of your ability to financial ability you become so important meanwhile what you are giving doesn't really affect you so much there are things that God your heart may not be 100% for God

[16:01] God wants people whose hearts are dedicated and giving to him give their heart he says Peter you are coming to give us money you are coming to give us money in order to buy the gift of the Holy Ghost Peter said may your money perish with you he said for your heart is not right you don't have a part in this why because the thing is the heart it's not your hand it's not your hand it's the heart the heart condition tonight I'm calling somebody on to a different approach to the things of God where your heart is fully your heart is sold out to God sold out to God sold out to God sold out to God I believe that God has so much in stock for you and God's plan is to get to you so Jesus said this going is not to your disadvantage he said it is expedient for you that I go if I don't go the Holy Spirit will not come but guess what they were not happy

[17:03] Jesus was going but after Jesus told them that when I go I will send a comforter when he was going Bible said he left them and they returned with joy in Luke chapter 24 verse 48 49 and then particularly from verse 49 see what happened look put it on the screen please if you can look chapter chapter father upon you but this is talking about the Holy Spirit okay promise of my father the Holy Spirit I said the promise of my father to you but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from the Holy Spirit comes and then while he was speaking he lifted his hands and started blessing them and he let them as fast but he lifted his hands and started blessing and guess what when he was blessing them he left he was taking them look at this and the no no verse verse 51 please and he let them as well and he lifted his hand and blessed them now it came to pass while he blessed them oh

[18:07] Jesus he's a God of blessing him while he blessed them the last thing he did was blessing he left them with blessings listen with the church Jesus has left enough blessing for us there is enough inheritance in Christ there is enough blessing in Christ for you too much for you to be stranded in life there is too much blessing he says that I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to give you an inheritance among the saints among those who are there is inheritance among the it prosperity the supernatural turnaround the deliverance and all these things that are happening is actually part of our salvation package it is a whole package and we have come to lay hold on the package that Christ has prepared for us in the name of Jesus he blessed them and left he blessed them and left no wonder they went back rejoicing or with joy the people who were going to go now when he left their joy was not small great one great joy they worshipped him and returned to

[19:21] Jerusalem with great joy you can see them dancing what have they got why they are excited like they asked Elijah your boss will be taken away you will see no no no I don't have a problem because God's package for me is better than what even I can plan for myself I'm sharing some things with somebody listen that is the premise on which we are placing a demand on the healing power of God on the covenant exemption for great jobs promotions it's so it's not like somebody who is so powerful just receive no God has sent me to come and deliver into your hands what Christ has procured for us Christ has procured for us he said Christ has the Bible says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Lord Galatians chapter 3 verse 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Lord having made a curse for us for it is written curse is anyone the one that hangs on the tree verse 14 why why is it so that the blessing that

[20:25] Abraham enjoyed by sacrificing Isaac the blessing that Abraham enjoyed might come upon those of us who are not the descendants of Abraham shout hallelujah hallelujah so he says that once you know the Holy Spirit is on your side you don't worry to the end you might have lost a job or you might have lost something but it's because something better God always has something better something better something better something better better better better I mean something better God has got something better in stock for you and guess what the good news I have for you is this year you shall enjoy the better blessings from above amen look at the way we are starting a year look at the way we are starting a year in prayer and in receiving and look at what God is already doing fear not fear not listen we have so much going for us in Christ

[21:29] Christ is giving us it's called the inheritance the inheritance is able to give us inheritance amongst those who are saved the saints who are sanctified God the word of God is what makes sure that it happens it has been reserved for you but the word of God is what he said I commend oh pastor please I commend you to God I commend you to God and what to the word of his grace so you need someone who will be teaching you the word of God's grace who will be teaching you who will be opening the word who open the scrolls and show you because the lamb that was slain the lion of the tribe of Judah is worthy to open the scroll so the scroll is open and anyone who is standing on his behalf might be able to show you the scrolls the open scrolls the open scrolls

[22:31] Bible says that up to now when Moses is preached I'm preaching stronger now Bible says that when Moses is preached 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 even up to now when Moses is preached veil covers their face because they can't see properly because the scroll was closed Jesus hadn't died so the scroll was closed but he died and now Christ has opened the scroll and he has sent his servants that go and open the scroll to the people because when the scrolls are open they won't have to cry cry don't cry oh John whip no more oh John for the lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed oh come on I feel like preaching whip not John do not weep do not weep because why was he weeping he was weeping because the scroll was closed and there was nobody to open the scroll no one was found in heaven and earth no one was found no one was able to open this thing because if this can be opened this will guarantee your inheritance in

[23:41] God it will guarantee your inheritance in God but it is closed but thank God thank God for Christ Christ came to die and he holds the keys of David he has the key he is the one who holds the keys of David he shuts and no one can shut Revelation chapter 3 verse 9 and 8 8 and 9 he shuts and no one can open and he opens and no one can shut he he has the key of David he has the key of David my God I feel like preaching tonight oh Jesus someone shout hallelujah hallelujah he he he has the key of David the angel of the holy one he who he who is true he who has the key of David he opens and no one oh who told you when opens your marriage someone can shut your marriage nobody who told you who told you see if you have not been directed to the word of truth to the word of his grace you wouldn't realize how much how much blessing

[24:53] Jesus has left not only heaven listen hey listen let me let me make this very clear yes please please Christians are not only going to heaven for to enjoy on earth there is enough blessing here for us to take our share in the blessing the only thing is we must be willing to sacrifice and suffer for Jesus it's for Jesus the suffering is okay but if it's not suffering for Jesus it is useless to be born again to suffer again we are not born again to suffer again hallelujah we are born again to reign with him to reign with him to reign with him to reign in life Romans chapter 5 verse 19 it says that we will reign in we will reign in life through righteousness yes so the point I'm trying to say is that God has inheritance for you because the scroll is open and he says that

[25:53] I commend you brethren I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among those who are saved sanctified I think the interview used the word saints to give you an inheritance among the church the people the brethren you have an inheritance in Ephesians chapter 1 it says that I pray that you know the riches of his glories of the inheritance among the saints Ephesians chapter 1 verse 18 I pray that you know what is the hope of his calling and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the inheritance God has got for us and in us is rich in glory rich in glory so it we have come together so that God can pass something on to us Paul said

[26:56] I desire to see you Romans 111 that I might impact because every man of God must have something to give spiritually to deposit on your life your greatest blessing is you you maintain a man of God I'm not saying someone called a pastor there's a difference between someone called a pastor or someone who is called a prophet or bishop or apostles those ones there's no entitlement in titles so I'm not saying the titles are not important but you can be called a pastor but you are not a servant of God don't be fooled by regalia and cloak I'm not saying it's not important if I get it I wait okay I know don't be fooled by the title your your joy is that you have met a man who works with

[28:03] God when someone works with God when they come into contact with you they pass on something of God into your life so Paul said this way he said Christ has made us able ministers 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 verse 5 and 6 not that we are sufficient in ourselves to think anything of ourselves anytime I begin to feel wow me I'm very powerful you are missing God but our sufficiency is of God it is God when you walk with God so please don't copy our preaching because you can't copy the God behind the preaching walk walk when you walk with God it's a different story altogether and so he said but our not that we are sufficient to consider anything in ourselves but our sufficiency is of God who has made us able ministers of the New

[29:03] Testament able ministers when we do it we are able to do it it's God who makes me be able to pray and people get healed be able to declare that declaration and God servant said thank God someone who is supposed to be standing in for God we are fronting for a big God I'm like agents you know when you want to contact the agents agents fronting for God and so when we come we must bear in mind that we are working for God your greatest blessing is to come into contact with someone who is actually working with God and working for God and God is working through him and unbelievers don't know that so sometimes they marginalize the value of men of God but you who is being granted your inheritance among the saints you know that I need my man a God someone shout hallelujah hallelujah so when he says that when they read

[30:10] Moses it's like they couldn't see but when they turn to Christ suddenly the light dawns Christ is the one who has opened the scroll and he has sent us to turn people away from worldly things from destructive things to Christ who is the only one who is able to open the scroll and once you see yourself in the scroll there's no need to continue crying sister I'm telling you don't be afraid okay don't be afraid my brother don't be afraid Satan is just trying to intimidate you with all kinds of fears do not be afraid do not be afraid why because the lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed don't be afraid don't be afraid somebody shout hallelujah hallelujah I want to advise somebody and encourage somebody don't be afraid God is real and

[31:10] God is here God is real and God is here God is real and God is here God is real and God is here I would like us to spend some time praying and I'm going to show we are going to pray from first Samuel we are going to pray and whatever the devil has fought your life with God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can think or ask according to his power that works in us so the situation is there is nothing that lies behind beyond the reach of prayers mom is it your son is your daughter who has gone out of the house and is like going off nothing lies beyond the reach prayer can reach anything doesn't matter where it goes prayer can go as far Peter was in prison behind metal iron bars with chains but the church prayed the prayer went into the prison and brought him out how about the soldiers no problem the soldiers are not a problem they are subject to the power of prayer

[32:25] I do not know what is ailing you that's why I've been sharing these things number one you need the joy of the Lord to access the blessings the true blessings of the Lord the joy of the God is in his mouth he said is there not a man of God 2nd Kings chapter 3 is that not verse 11 10 and 11 is there not a man of God here who we can seek the word of God from because we can't die like that we can't die 2nd Kings chapter 5 verse 8 it says let him come and you know that there is a God in Israel and there is a prophet in Israel so Elisha the man of God someone say man of God man of God Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes and he sent to the king saying why have you torn your clothes please let him come to me let that man who brought you a request that cannot be met let him come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in
