We know that God is near to those who call on his name. But to walk with God, we must learn to hear from him properly. To hear from God clearly, there are certain things that must be in place. Starting with building ourselves up spiritually, and reading our bibles. We cannot hear from God living in carnality. God uses his prophets in our walk with him to help us hear him clearly, and to deliver his word to us.
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.
[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. The psalmist said in Psalm 86 verse 17 also, he said, Show me a token for good that those who hate me will see.
[0:34] Show me a token for good that those who hate me. New K. James, please. Show me a token for good that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed.
[0:44] Why? Because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me. Wow. What a scripture. Tonight, God is about to help somebody and comfort somebody.
[0:59] Amen. Yeah. I believe it with all my heart that God will help you. God will help you. Amen. God will help you. Amen.
[1:09] God will help you. Amen. God will help you. Amen. His ears are attentive to the cry of the righteous. The ears of the Lord are attentive, are opened to the cry of the righteous.
[1:25] Amen. Call upon him. He will hear you. So, tonight, I want you to know the ears of God are attentive. The Bible says in the book of Psalm and Proverbs, it says that the ears of God are, God's ears are alert.
[1:41] The ears of the Lord are, the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to their cry. The ears of God are open to the cry of his people.
[1:53] The cry of the just. The cry of the righteous. Before we go any further, I want you to make your request known to God. I want you to talk to God.
[2:06] Tell God. Somebody said, I prayed like I've never prayed before on Saturday. When pastor said we should pray, I really prayed. And then the answer showed up. Yesterday, I showed you how the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much.
[2:25] He does a lot of work. He can do so. James chapter 5 verse 16 says the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous. Why? Because God's ears are open to the cry of the righteous.
[2:39] His ears are open. His eyes are on the righteous and his ears are open to the cry. There are some places you don't have to cry.
[2:51] But you have to reserve the cry until you get to God and cry out to God. Because there are places you can make cry out there. It won't change anything.
[3:02] You call somebody and we're crying to them. It might not change anything. Some people, you tell them your problems. It doesn't change anything. It just gets other people to even know, get to know what you are going through.
[3:13] But we must learn how to come to God and cry out to him. Why? Because his ears are attentive to the cry of the righteous.
[3:24] When we cry, he said, call upon me and I will answer you. He said, call upon me and I will answer you. He is near to all those who call on you. He said, call on me and I will answer you.
[3:37] That's his commitment. Our job is to do the calling. His job is to answer. Call upon me and I will answer you. In Psalm 55 verse 6, it also talks about how we should call on him in the day of trouble.
[3:54] Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will answer. Call upon me, I think Psalm 50 verse 6, sorry. Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will answer.
[4:06] So, when we call on him in times of trouble, verse 15, thank you. Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will answer. Because he is near to everyone who calls upon him.
[4:19] The Lord is near to all who call upon him. 1.45 verse 18. He is near to all who call on him. And he said, call on me in the time of trouble.
[4:33] In other words, in the time of trouble, that is when he wants to actually even get nearer. So, he is near. As you call on me, he is close to you and he is close to you to help you. That is why he said, call on me and I will answer.
[4:46] Call on you. God does not have busy. You know, sometimes you call some people and the line is not going through. Their line is busy. He said, anytime you call on me, I will not put you on hold.
[4:58] I will answer. If you call Vodafone or you call some of those companies, they will put you on hold for a long time. And they will tell you because of the COVID.
[5:09] Because of the COVID, they are short of staff. So, because of the COVID, you have to wait for 30 minutes. And you can go on their website and sort it out.
[5:20] Else, you have to wait for 30 minutes. And then they will be playing music you don't want in your ears. But when you call on God, he said, when you call on me, I will answer.
[5:34] You call, I will answer. You call. So, what does that imply? When you call on God on a particular issue, you call on him on a particular issue.
[5:47] He said, I will answer regarding this issue. God will answer you. God will answer you. And we understand, as I read earlier on, the effective fervent prayer of the righteous avails much.
[6:01] In other words, it works powerfully. It works well. The effective fervent prayer of the righteous really works well. It avails much. So, we want to pray.
[6:12] I want you to call on him for help. I want you to call on him for help. God, help me. He says, therefore, let us come boldly before the throne of grace.
[6:24] Hebrews chapter 4, verse 15. Let us, therefore, come boldly before the throne of grace. That we may obtain mercy and find grace towards help.
[6:35] In the time of need. So, you have to come to God and come boldly and speak. Pray about the crisis. Pray about the challenge. Pray about the situation.
[6:48] Pray. He said, let us come and pray. Come to God boldly. So, that we may obtain mercy and find grace. So, just mercy means just in case you are in the wrong.
[6:59] Mercy means that you will not be dealt with based on your wrongness. Based on your fault. Based on how things are bad. You ask God for mercy. So, when you come, you receive mercy.
[7:10] So, mercy will suspend and put on hold the judgment that is pending against you. So, that God can help you. You can receive grace. Without mercy, grace can't work. Grace can't work.
[7:21] So, grace will work. Mercy has to come first. Mercy has to come first to pull you out of the wanted or criminal zone. Or one who deserves punishment zone.
[7:33] Mercy will come and take care of the punishment you deserve. So, that grace will move you to where you are supposed to be promoted to. So, he said, let us come before the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy.
[7:45] Okay. You need mercy. Someone shout mercy. Mercy. Mercy. Sometimes, things are going on in your life. And Satan believes he has the right. He has the legitimacy to afflict you because of what you did.
[7:59] Because if you break a hedge, a serpent shall buy. So, Satan is using that against you. But thank God for mercy. Thank God that the God we go to for help is a God of mercy.
[8:10] God is a God of mercy. I need you ask to pray. We are going to pray. We are going to pray that God have mercy. And pray. Say, God help me. God help me. Help me regarding my situation.
[8:22] My job. My career. My studies. My finances. My family. My marriage. My finances. My business. Anything that has to do that.
[8:34] My child. My family. My sister. My parent. Anything that has to do or generates a concern in you is good enough for prayer. Anything that concerns you can move the heart of God.
[8:47] Anything. If it's a concern for you, convert your concern into a prayer. And that concern will turn out to be a testimony for you after you have made it a prayer topic.
[8:59] Hallelujah. Tonight, before we move any further, I want you to come before God with an issue. An issue that is bothering you. An issue that is on your heart.
[9:10] An issue that weighs you down. The devil is a liar. There is bliss. There is solution. There is help for you in God.
[9:20] The psalmist says there is help for me in the Lord. Why are you cast down, O my soul? Hope thou in the Lord. For in the Lord there is help for you.
[9:32] And he says that I will not fear what can man do. I will not put my confidence and my faith and my trust in man. God is my help. I will not fear what man will do.
[9:44] For the Lord is my help. The psalmist continues to say that the Lord is my portion in the land of the living. He is my portion. God is my portion.
[9:55] He is the strength of my life. The psalmist continues to say the Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. We want to call upon the name of the Lord.
[10:06] Calling upon the name of the Lord. The Lord help me. You promise. You see this is how you should go to God. When you go to God to make your prayers effective. You go and say God you promised in your word.
[10:19] As soon as you say you promised in your word. It is like terms and condition. You evoke the terms and condition. He has to abide by the terms and condition which is his word. So the terms and condition in God's dealing with us is his word.
[10:33] And it is always good to go. And say you promised in your word. That if I call upon you. You answer me. That is even good enough. If I call on your name.
[10:43] You answer me. If I call upon you. You answer me. You can say God you promised in your word. That I should call upon you in the time of trouble. And you will hear me. I should call upon you.
[10:54] So go to God with what you know his word is saying. And tonight he said. Let us come boldly before the throne of grace. That we may obtain grace and mercy. And then find grace to help in time of need.
[11:06] Lord I am in need. You said if I come. I will obtain mercy. And find grace to help in time of need. I am in need. Help me. Lord help me. Help me. Help me concerning my health.
[11:18] Help me concerning my accommodation. Lord help me in the name of Jesus. Is somebody ready to pray this prayer? I want you to lift up your voice. And talk to God. Pray. Pray and ask for the help of God.
[11:29] Okay. You ignore what people think about you. It is none of their business. It is between you and God. Ignore what people think about you. And concentrate on what God has promised in his word.
[11:41] What God has said in his word. Pray. Somebody pray. Pray. Pray and ask God. The scriptures say. That what you have said in my ears. So will I do.
[11:52] What you have spoken in my ears. So will I do. God will do it for you. Amen. Well. Yesterday. I was talking about. How.
[12:02] God speaks. And how. Hearing from God. And I also continue to speak about how. When God speaks. There is a way. To. What to do.
[12:13] To help you hear from God. You remember. I said. What. What do you have to do. To hear from God. I see you talking. Tell me what you wrote down.
[12:23] I said that you can't hear from God. If you're carnal. That you have to be. Build. Build yourself up spiritually. That's good. Lovely. You have to build. You have to be spiritual. Spirituality.
[12:35] Spirituality. Examinar. Spirituality. Spirituality. Spirituality. Examinar. Minister. Call me pussy this way. Spirituality. Spirituality.
[12:46] Examinar. To. It's a Latin phrase. For those of you. Are not familiar. With carry stems. It's a Latin phrase. That. Which means. The.
[12:57] The. The. The Bible. Can only. Or spiritual things. The things of God. Can only be understood. By the one. Whose. Heart. Whose spirit.
[13:08] Is open to God. With reverence. Hallelujah. All right. What else did I say. Yes. Nadia. You need joy. To be able to hear from God.
[13:20] You need joy. To be able to hear from God. You need spirituality. To be able to hear from God. And what did I. What else did I say. Is the hope. Create an atmosphere.
[13:32] Where the spirit. Can easily flow. Create an atmosphere. Create an atmosphere. Yeah. And does someone. On. On YouTube. Said. I think. Omo. A. Said the same thing.
[13:43] Sorry. Read your Bible. Read. Read your Bible. And pray. Read your Bible. I wish I could say that in French.
[13:54] Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Read. Your. Bible. Read. Your. Bible.
[14:04] Be spiritual. Create. An atmosphere. Read. Your. Bible. Be. Expectant. I said yesterday. Be. Expectant. Be. Joyful. Okay. So.
[14:15] Be. Spiritual. Be. Expectant. Read. Your. Bible. Be. Joyful. Create. An. Atmosphere. These.
[14:28] Are. Important. Means. To hear. From. God. And. Also. I want. To add. One. More. In. The. Book. Of. Hosea. Hosea. Chapter.
[14:40] Um. Chapter. 12. Verse. 10. Yeah.
[14:56] It says that. Um. I have also spoken. How? By the prophets. So how does God speak to us? By the prophets. And have.
[15:07] And. And have. Multiplied. Visions. I have. Given. Symbols. Through. The. Witness. Of. The. Prophets. So.
[15:18] God. Uses. His. Servants. The Bible says. In. Hosea. Chapter. Chapter. 12. Verse. 10. It says that. I have spoken.
[15:29] By. The prophets. How do you hear from God? By accessing. The voice of God. Through. Agents. Like what. I just give somebody. A word. Either. Through means. Like this. Or.
[15:40] Books. Books that have been written. By anointed. Men of God. Anointed. Men of God. You are reading the book. You can hear the voice of God. Messages. Online messages. Or however you access.
[15:51] All. Messages. Preached. By. Anointed. Servants of God. God. Speak to us. Through messages. So you are listening. To the message. That has been preached. By the pastor.
[16:03] Or your pastor. As you are listening. To the message. You just know. Wow. God has spoken to me. God will speak to you. Through. Watching. His messages. Listening. His messages.
[16:13] Or messages. Or. Reading their book. Reading. Something. Something they've written. Listening to a podcast. By them. Or listening to actual. Teaching messages.
[16:24] Like this. Or service. As the service going on. That God speak to us. By his prophet. Verse 13 says. That by a prophet. God brought Israel. Out of Egypt.
[16:35] And by a prophet. She was preserved. By a prophet. The Lord brought Israel. Out of Egypt. And by a prophet. He was. Israel was preserved. Israel was preserved. By a prophet.
[16:47] God is a very merciful God. So. God speaks to us. Through his prophets. And now his prophets. Is either through direct word. Through their counsel. Through their preaching.
[16:57] Through their books. Through their messages. Either. Physically direct. Or online messages. Or recorded. Media. Through any media.
[17:09] You get. That is. How God speaks to us. You want to hear from God. You have to. Begin to listen to messages. Please. Listen to messages. Brothers and sisters. I eat messages.
[17:21] I drink messages. That is. It helps me. And one of the things. It does. Is. It creates an atmosphere. Of God speaking. To me. One. And it's not just that.
[17:32] It also. Helps my spirit. Become lighter. To hear from God. So. I might not. Even when the. The person is preaching. I might hear from God. Through the person. Or.
[17:43] The preaching. And anointed preaching. Will create an environment. Where my spirit. Is a bit more sensitive. It creates an atmosphere. Where my spirit. Is a bit more sensitive. To hear from God.
[17:53] If you want to walk with God. Learn to hear from him. Create the atmosphere. Generate the desire. Pray and read your Bible.
[18:05] Be spiritual. Expose yourself. To the. The prophet of God. Or the servant of God. And. And walk in joy. Joyfulness.
[18:15] Will make you hear from God. In the mighty name. Of Jesus. These things are important. If you want to walk with God. You have to learn. How to hear from him. Because.
[18:26] God. Bible says that. The voice of the Lord. Is upon many waters. As I quoted. In Isaiah. Chapter. 30. Verse 29. The voice of God.
[18:37] Is upon many waters. So. The voice of God. It is. Bible says in Genesis. Chapter 3. That. God. Comes to Adam. I think verse. 11. 10.
[18:47] 11. Somewhere. In the cool of the day. God. Comes to Adam. And so. Bible says that. 11. Says that. And they heard the voice. Of the Lord. God. Walking. So.
[18:58] God. Kind of. He comes to them. As a word. He comes to them. In a voice. So. If you want to walk with God. You must learn. How to hear him. You must learn. How to listen to him.
[19:09] You must learn. And anytime God speaks. As I said the other time. He speaks. In pictures. So. God. God. If you. Bible said. God told Abraham.
[19:19] In Genesis. Chapter 17. Verse 1. It came to pass. That the Lord said to Abraham. Walk before me. And be perfect. When Abraham was 99 years old.
[19:30] That was when Isaac was about to be born. That was when Isaac was about to be conceived. 99. Look at Romans chapter 4. I will come back to this particular text. But Romans chapter 4. Verse 19. He said.
[19:41] And not being weak in faith. He did not consider his own body. That was already dead. Since he was about. 100 years old. So he was 99. Just about 100 years old.
[19:51] He was almost getting to 100. And he wasn't 100 years. But he was about. About to get there. And he was 99. That's when God. Genesis again. 17. God came to Abraham.
[20:03] When he was 99 years old. And when Abraham was 90 years old. The Lord appeared to Abraham. And said. I am almighty God. Walk before me. And be blameless. Walk before me. Walk with me.
[20:13] Walk with me. Brother. Your walk with God. Will be the point of reference. For your major testimonies. Your walk with God. Is not necessarily. Your education.
[20:25] And your job. And your contacts. Your walk with God. Will be. The point of reference. For your major testimonies in life. Your walk with God. God told Abraham.
[20:36] When Isaac was about to be born. God had to come. And tell him. Please walk with me. Walk with me. And be perfect. Walk with me. And be perfect. Walk because I am about to do something. Brothers and sisters.
[20:46] 2021. This is the time. You really have to walk with God. Because of the victory that is coming. Because of the. Multiple testimonies. That are coming to your life. Because of the. Unique nature of your testimonies.
[20:57] This is the time. To walk with God. Walk with God. God told Abraham. Walk with me. And be perfect. And Bible says. In Genesis chapter 5. Verse 24. That. And Enoch. Walked with God.
[21:08] And he was not. And Enoch. Walk with God. And he was not. Why? For God. took him. His biggest testimony. That one of the greatest testimony. In the Old Testament. Is this testimony.
[21:19] God took him. He walked with God. And God took him. So. I remember. Hebrew puts it this way. Hebrews chapter 11. Verse 5. By faith. By faith. Enoch. Was taken away.
[21:30] So that he did not see death. So. When God took him. It's not just that God took him. He didn't die. Enoch did not die. How? Because God took him. And he was not found. For God has taken him.
[21:41] Did you see that? Because God has taken him. But before God took him. He had witnessed that. Testimony that he pleased God. But that pleasing God is. He walked with God. And God was so pleased. That's why God told Abraham.
[21:53] Walk with me. Walk with me. My sister. God. I have a prophetic word for you. This year. Pay any price. To walk with God. It might mean. You losing some friends.
[22:04] That's fine. It's better to lose friends. And not God. Because if you have God. All things work together. For good. To do that. Love God. And God. God according to his purpose. He says that.
[22:15] If God be for us. Who can be against us? What you need is God. Listen. Where your life is at the moment. The kind of victories you have to see. The kind of testimonies. You have to experience.
[22:25] The kind of breakthroughs. That must happen in your life. In your ministry. Say. Lady. The kind of testimonies. That must happen in your ministry. It must be a function of working with God. Working with God.
[22:37] This is the time. Where let's pay the price. And work with God. And you can't work with God without faith. Take steps of faith. Honor God. Obey God. In faith. Obey God.
[22:47] Take steps of faith. Believe God. Trust God. Obey God. Believe God. Trust God. Obey God. Obey God. Act by faith. Take steps by faith. Let Him know you trust Him.
[22:58] Let Him know you trust Him. And I see God turning your situation around. I see God turning your captivity around. I see God turning your condition around. As you walk with Him.
[23:08] I see Him doing it for you. I see Him doing it for you. I see God doing it for you. In the mighty name of Jesus. Somebody shout a living Amen. Amen. Amen. We want to pray.
[23:20] And that's the prayer topic. God help me to learn how to hear from you so I can work with you. Help me to develop myself to keep hearing from you so I can work with you properly. Bible says that in Amos chapter 3.
[23:33] It said how can two work together except they be agreed. Can two work together except they be agreed. Unless there's an agreement. And Ivy please.
[23:44] Do two work together unless they have agreed to do so. You can't work together except there's an agreement. This is what we want to do. You want to work with God. You have to agree.
[23:56] How do you agree? You must learn how to hear from Him. So when He speaks you obey. When you speak He hears. There's this relationship. There's this relationship between you and God.
[24:09] How can two work together except they be agreed. Can two work together except they be agreed. I like the way that he just puts it. Interesting. Can two work together except they be agreed.
[24:23] God wants you to be agreed. Listen brothers and sisters. That's my greatest desire. I really want to please God. I want to work with Him. I want to work with Him. I want His presence everywhere I go.
[24:33] I want to obey Him. I want to accommodate Him. I want to host Him constantly in my life. Even when I'm asleep. I want to host Him. I want to host Him.
[24:44] Years ago when I was in secondary school. In the boarding school. I've always been studying my Bible. Chewing and learning. One day my roommate told me.
[24:55] He said. David. Were you dreaming about something? I said. What was it? He said. When you were asleep. You were quoting scriptures. Matthew chapter. Matthew chapter 16 verse 18.
[25:06] John chapter 18 verse 5. You were quoting scriptures. And reciting. You're asleep. Ah. That's how much. And I mean. This is about 28 years ago.
[25:18] That's how much. I was so hungry for God. I was so hungry for God. Even in my sleep. I was quoting scriptures. And another time he told me. In my sleep. I was speaking in tongues.
[25:29] You know. And I've never suffered. Sumnoloquism. I've never been a sumnoloquist.
[25:41] Like someone who sleeps and talks. But. The point I'm making is that. I've always wanted to be with God. I wanted. I've always loved Him. To host His presence.
[25:53] For many years. To understand that. I've been studying my Bible so much. That I slept. Even in my sleep. I was quoting scriptures. So. If I could quote scriptures in my sleep. How much more in the preaching.
[26:06] It started a long time ago. Out of hunger and thirst. For God. Out of hunger and thirst. For God. I want to work with you. And be agreed. This should be your biggest desire.
[26:18] This year. And all other things. Will just flow. And follow it. In Jesus name. And everyone who believes. Shout a living. Amen. Thank you for listening.

[26:57] Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
[27:08] Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
[27:19] Bye-bye.és Bias-bye.
