The Victory That Has Overcome The World

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. I just want to talk about the victory that overcomes the world.

[0:25] In 1 John 5, verse 4, he says that, For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world.

[0:36] And he says, just so you will know what we are talking about, this is the victory that overcomes the world. So he said, so you don't get it wrong. Just let me make it clear.

[0:49] Whatsoever is born of God overcomes. And he said, the victory that overcomes the world is our faith. Whatsoever is born of God is of faith. That is why we overcome.

[1:01] Because it takes faith to overcome. In 2020, it has been a year of faith. And once you operate by faith, victory is certain.

[1:12] That's the point I'm making. Operating by faith makes your victory certain. And he says, why? Because the Bible says that this is the victory. What is the victory? This is the victory.

[1:23] It's like, maybe you haven't seen a notebook before. Someone asked you, can you show me the notebook that we have been talking about, everybody is talking about. And I said, oh, that is it. This is the book everybody is talking about.

[1:35] Okay. So he said, whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory. What is the victory? Even our faith. Our faith.

[1:45] Hallelujah. So that means you are at the mercy of conditions and situations if you are out of faith. If you are out of faith, you are in trouble.

[1:58] Because things are not going to get better. Things are going to get rockier. But they that know they are God. I feel like preaching.

[2:09] They that know they are God, they shall be strong and do exploits. I see you becoming strong and doing exploits in the coming days, in the coming weeks, in the coming months and years.

[2:24] In the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Without faith, your life is not certain. It's only faith that can guarantee. Oh, oh.

[2:36] It takes faith to guarantee the outcome of your life. It takes faith. Outside of faith, situations and circumstances will determine the outcome of your life.

[2:48] But when you are in faith, Bible says that for by faith, the elders obtain a good report. The elders obtained a good report by faith.

[3:04] It took faith to obtain a good report. In fact, it puts it this way. It's a word more shall we say in verse 32 of Hebrews chapter 11. It's a word more shall we say. For time will fail me to tell of Gideon.

[3:18] Watch this. There will always not be enough time to discuss the subject of faith. Or to talk about the exploits of faith. So it's a time will fail me to tell of Gideon, of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthah, and of David also.

[3:35] And Samuel, and of the prophets. How about them? Look at the next verse. Who through faith, what did they do? They subdued kingdoms. It wasn't through military might.

[3:47] Normally, naturally, it takes military might to subdue kingdoms. But the Bible says, these guys, it took faith to subdue kingdoms. Now watch this. So to subdue a kingdom, you need military power, military might.

[4:01] But them and these guys did not have military might, but were able to subdue kingdoms. So they were not under the mercy of circumstances. They were not subject to the dictates of circumstances.

[4:13] They were subject to the dictates of faith. Somebody, I'm telling you, it doesn't matter what happened in the coming year. You will be riding high. You will be flying high.

[4:23] You will be flying high. You will be doing well. Amen. You will be doing well. Amen. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. If you believe, he shout, Amen.

[4:34] Amen. So he says that they subdue kingdoms through faith. See, the way you are struggling with lying or some dodgy behavior and with some addiction, you are struggling to rot righteousness or exercise righteousness.

[4:49] He said through faith, they rot. They did righteously. Through faith, they obtain promises. Your mother can promise you, but it may not work.

[5:00] Your husband can promise you, but it will not work. Your potential husband can promise you marriage, but it will not. I know people who this year, they were engaged, but before the end of the year, it didn't work.

[5:14] Wow. But he said that they obtain promises through faith. Kabadah Shaya. You will obtain the promise. You will obtain the promise. Amen. You will obtain the promise.

[5:25] Amen. You will obtain the promise. Amen. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. They obtain promises through faith. And stopped. Oh, Kabadah Shaya. They didn't have guns, but they were able to stop the mouth of lions.

[5:39] And he said, they quenched the violence of fire. Not through fire service, but through faith. They quenched the violence of fire. Fire is a very violent thing, but they were able to quench the violence of fire.

[5:51] They escaped the edge of sword. They didn't use fighting skills to escape the edge of sword. They used faith. If you want to escape the sword, you have to learn how to duck and dodge.

[6:02] But they didn't do that. Not that that was important, but there are times you won't have the time and you won't have the opportunity to prepare for what the situation is bringing against you. Sometimes situations can catch you unawares.

[6:15] We are living in precarious times, but some people are rising, are buying houses and thriving. Not everybody will go down. It seems to be like this year has been a bad year, but I'm telling you, it's also been a good year.

[6:27] In precarious, it's been a very good year for us. Hallelujah! It's been a good year for us. Hallelujah! It's been a good year for me. Hallelujah! And I know it's going to be a good year for you. So if 2020 has been this way for you, then guess what?

[6:42] Then guess what? If 2020 has been like this for you, then guess what? 2021. Oh, come on. Shataya. Bayakada. Because this is their victory. How did we get it this way?

[6:54] We got something. Faith. Faith will guarantee your testimony. Faith will guarantee your victory. Your faith is guaranteeing your victory. In the mighty name of Jesus, I believe.

[7:05] Faith. This is the victory that overcomes the world. Whatever the devil will throw against you. Whatever will come up against you. I see you overcoming. I see you overcoming.

[7:17] I see you overcoming. I see you overcoming. In the name of Jesus, you are overcoming. By the power of the Holy Ghost, you are overcoming. Amen.

[7:28] In the name of Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Let the devil throw his worst short. The Bible says that above all this, take the shield of faith.

[7:40] Ephesians chapter 6, verse 16. Taking the shield of faith, wherein ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

[7:54] He's throwing against you. Let him throw it. You have faith. Your faith is what guarantees your passage. And I want to encourage everybody.

[8:05] Paul said, I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Galatians 2, 20. Nevertheless, I live. Yet not I. And the life that I live, I now live.

[8:17] I live by faith. You see that? I live by the faith of the Son of God. You can live by faith. Life is better when lived by faith.

[8:27] Jesus said, I keep saying this. I'm never tired of saying it. It's Jesus said, have faith in God. Mark 11, 22. Have faith in God.

[8:39] Have faith in God. Have faith in God. My sister, my brother, mom, dad, uncle, auntie. I want you to know, have faith in God.

[8:50] Don't be so worried. Don't be so intimidated. Don't be so threatened about the things ahead. About what is going to happen. What is going to happen. What the future holds. It doesn't matter.

[9:01] Just have faith in God. Have faith in God. And gallantly. And boldly. Keep facing the future. Keep going to the future. Boldly keep going. Boldly keep going. Have faith in God.

[9:12] We are going forward. 2021. We are taking over. You are a victor. Not a victim. 2021. I see you triumphant.

[9:22] I see you having fantastic. Amazing. Mind-blowing. Testimonies. I see it happening for you. I prophesied it to your life. So shall it be.

[9:34] In the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. It's an amazing year ahead. I'm glad to let you know. Believe it.

[9:44] It's a glorious year ahead. I believe it. It's going to be an unusual year. People who have known you in the past. They will see you. And they will ask you. What has happened?

[9:56] How did you get this far? Something is. There's something different about you. And you tell them. You are living by faith. Come on. Of the Son of God. Yes, sir.

[10:06] By the faith of the Son of God. You live by faith. The just shall live by faith. Habakkuk chapter 2 verse 4. The just shall live by faith. Romans 1 17. The just shall live by faith.

[10:17] Galatians 3 11. The just shall live by faith. Hebrews 10 38. The just shall live by faith. The just shall live by faith. And so I see you making progress forward.

[10:28] I see you. Listen. By faith. 2021 will be better than any other year in your past. Amen. I'm talking about somebody.

[10:40] I believe it. It shall surely be better than any other year in your life. Amen. One of the things that as you walk by faith. One of the things that you must be a master of doing.

[10:53] Is you must be a master of provoking the power of God. See. People must learn how to activate God on their behalf.

[11:04] Yeah. Learn how to move the hand of God. There are things. If you are walking by faith. Then you are a God mover. You are a God mover. And you'll be able to move the hand of God.

[11:18] Hallelujah. Amen. Praise the Lord. Thank you Jesus. Glory be to God. Hallelujah. Somebody shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Walking by faith. You will always be able to move the hand of God.

[11:32] And I want to show you a few things. Because you see. The problem is some of us. See. This is what the devil does. He tries to deceive us to assume we walk by faith.

[11:43] But in reality. You are not walking by faith. Wow. Because what overcomes the world is our faith. That's what the victory that overcomes the world. So then.

[11:54] If you are running. If you are not having victories. That means there's a problem with the faith. Okay. Because faith is the victory. Faith is the victory. That's what guarantees the victory in the world.

[12:07] And so the enemy will manage to let some of us have this feeling. That we are walking by faith. But in actual fact. It's not faith. Wow. It's not faith. And so.

[12:18] When you are walking by faith. There are a few things that definitely will be. The telltale signs of someone walking by faith. When you walk by faith. One of the things that you do. Is you walk in love.

[12:30] You cannot walk by faith. Lovelessly. It's you love God. Okay. Let's get it right. I'm talking about love for God.

[12:41] Not love for dogs. I mean. Love for God. Not love for the environment. I mean love. Not love for money. Not love just for people.

[12:53] I'm talking about love for God. And then out of the overflow of the love for God. It flows out into people. And anything that helps people. So if the environment will help people.

[13:04] Then you can consider that. But first of all. Your priority is loving God. Okay. And I taught and I explained that. All things work together for good.

[13:15] To those that love the Lord. All right. So for things to work together for good for you. You got to be a God lover. You got to be a God lover.

[13:26] So all things work together for good. To those that love the Lord. No eye has seen. No ear heard. First Corinthians 1. 2. 2. 9. No eye has seen.

[13:37] No ear heard. Neither has he entered into the heart of any man. The things which God has prepared for who. For those who love him. So it takes loving God for you to see what God.

[13:49] Enjoy what God has prepared. Hallelujah. So it's important. I spoke about love. And Galatians chapter 5 verse 6 says that faith works by love. So if you're actually.

[13:59] If your faith is going to be authentic and genuine. It must be faith that operates through the love of God. But one of the main points I want to draw our focus on today. Is in Exodus chapter 23 verse 20.

[14:14] It says that behold. I send an angel before thee. To keep thee in the way. And bring thee. Watch this. And bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

[14:27] 2021. There is a place in 2021 that God has prepared for you. Hallelujah. Amen. You are getting there.

[14:38] You will get to where God has prepared for you. Why? Because I said I sent an angel before thee. I sent an angel before thee. To keep thee in the way.

[14:51] And to bring thee into the place which God has prepared. God has some place prepared for you. 2021. Definitely. God has prepared something for you.

[15:04] I'm telling you yes. That's why you don't have to be afraid. Just walk into it. Just walk into it. We are walking into it. Listen. We are not just entering a year because. Yeah.

[15:14] The year is coming. No. Some of us. We are entering a year. Because God has prepared it for us. Amen. God has prepared it for us. That's why you will see victories. So he said. Behold.

[15:25] I send an angel before thee. And he will go before you. Now look at verse 21. He said. Beware of him. And obey his voice. Provoke him not.

[15:35] For he will not pardon your transgressions. For my name is in him. He says that. For what I have prepared for you. I am going to lead you there. But for me to be able to lead you there effectively.

[15:48] There needs to be obedience. So obey his voice. Listen. You cannot do it the way you want. And get it God's way. It doesn't work like that.

[16:00] You better make sure you are always in church. You want to grow in faith. But you are always upset in church. I mean. How does that work? Excuse me. How does that work?

[16:12] Your car runs by electricity. And there's no charging point. And you don't go to any charging point. And you expect everything to be okay. Oh boy. It doesn't work like that. It doesn't.

[16:24] You cannot do it your way. And have it God's way. No. You can't do it your way. If you want to have it God's way. You do it God's way. Other than that. If you do it your way.

[16:34] Any way that enemy plans. Will get you. Because he's an old devil. He's a smart devil. He's a clever devil. But thank God for the goodness of God.

[16:44] You will not be a victim. Thank God for the goodness of God. God will help you. I'm telling you. God will help you. This year. 2020 has been very funny. But 2021.

[16:55] Is going to be very glorious. It's going to be very glorious. Full of victories. January. Victory. February. Victory. March. Victory. April. Victory.

May. who believe he shouts amen amen so he said obey his voice look at verse 22 but if thou shalt indeed obey his voice and do all that i speak you see so he said obey his voice and do all that god speaks so obey his voice god will always speak to you through people through agents that are he has assigned to lead you into the next phase that's why i believe that the pastor whose instructions you can't obey there's no need to say amen to their prayers because it doesn't work he said that i will obey his voice watch this let me say verse 22 very interesting text but if you indeed obey his voice and do all that i speak because i'm going to be speaking to him i'm going to be speaking to him then i oh your boy man your enemies are in trouble if you cannot be god that's that's what the bible is saying he said then i god i will be an enemy to your enemy and an adversary to your adversary what's the difference between an adversary and an enemy an adversary is somebody who is doing something contrary to oppose what you are trying to do so if you are not doing anything there's no an adversary an adversary just will want the opposite to happen so you are wishing to go you want to go left the adversary is fighting for you to go right right you want to that's so football football is the adversary it's force your adversary it opponents that he's opposing what you are trying to adversary how about an enemy an enemy you don't have to do anything even that if he when you are sleeping he still doesn't like he want to finish it finish you he want to just destroy you the enemy assignment is to destroy you the mere fact of your existence is an annoyance to him right so you are trying to get married that satan is the adversary you are okay you decide okay i won't do anything i will just say he's still an enemy because he's determined to ruin your life but you god said god said watch this god said if you obey my voice i will be an oh oh kabada shakata ya baba rakata katabaya he said i'll be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries look at verse 25 he said you will serve the lord your god and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and i will take sicknesses oh did you see that did you see that that's the word of god he said if you serve me i'll bless your bread and your water and i will take i will take sickness away from your the midst of d you won't be having this all today to this today hospital today he said save me and i'll take it away from you your service this year your obedience and your service two key things as we know i'm 2021 as we enter 2021 to prove your faith you must make sure you boost your service to god boost your obedience to god your service that the king called daniel and he said daniel servant of the most high god has your god who you are you serve day and night has he been able to deliver you from the lions can you imagine because they knew he was a servant of god god stands and defends those who serve him god will defend those who serve him any day anytime if you serve him he said you shall serve the lord and you shall bless your job is to serve his job is to bless your job is to serve his job is to serve his job is to bless don't be crying bless me bless me bless me bless me serve him serve him serve him in different ways various ways serve him in church meetings serve him get busy doing something for god serve him with everything in your life seek it first the kingdom of god seek it first not just pleasure not just money not just power not just prestige seek it first

[21:32] the kingdom of god and all these things others are running after will be added to you seek it first so when you are serving god god becomes your priority you serve him he said you shall serve and you will bless you shall serve and you bless if you want if you are walking by faith you serve god faithfully amen you serve god faithfully there are some people their job is they want to use god as a like a vending machine god just give me they'll go anytime they are in need of god they come but 2021 those that know they are god they will pray like that those who are going to walk by faith they don't pray like that they are he says surely goodness and mercy shall follow me and some of the days of my life no all the days of my life not only few of the days all the days of my life i will dwell i will dwell in the house of the lord i will dwell i will dwell i will dwell all the days not only on sundays i'm determined to stay in god seven when you do that means you are serving you take fellowship you prioritize fellowship you prioritize your giving you prioritize your tithing you prioritize your kingdom activities you prioritize things that concern god and church you prioritize it as we walk into this year i see you are going to have such a colorful amen somebody's you are just listening to me and you things are changing whether they like it or not whether situations like it or not things are changing for you things are changing for you situations are changing for you situations are changing in the mighty name of the lord jesus christ so he said you shall serve the lord and he shall bless your food and your drink and i'll take away signaling from amongst you said they shall not they shall nothing cause they are young in other words you will have miscarriage nor be barren barrenness is cursed as you serve the lord in thy land the number of your you won't die prematurely but as you live your life and serve god and observe all necessary protocols anything the devil tries to use to hurt you it's work it says i give you power over all the works of the enemy luke chapter 10 nothing shall by any means hurt you nothing shall by any means i give you power it can't hurt you so it's important to understand and it says that you shall fulfill all the days of your life let me just read verse 27 says i will i will send my fear before you and i will destroy all the people to whom thou shall come and i will i will make all thy enemies turn their back onto thee they will leave you alone this year that in-law has been frustrating you in the next year they will leave you alone that neighbor that satan neighbor from hell will leave you alone that boss that has determined to frustrate you they will leave you alone in the mighty name of jesus now i want to run this up quickly and through a few things in the ternal 28 verse 1 and 2 it talks about if you shall hack him and diligently and obey the voice of god listen my brothers and sisters you can't walk in faith and not be in obedience to god bible says that by faith abraham when we he was asked to move hebrews chapter 11 verse 8 abraham when he was asked to move obeyed by faith how are you walking by faith in disobedience to god abraham by faith when he was called to go out to a place where he obeyed and left and went out not knowing he didn't know where he was going but i said well they said i should go i'm going god i know god said god said i'm so clear about it so i'm going obedience is a sign of your faith quickly let me give you a i think let me mention one or two points that it will be necessary because i was i was sharing with some people earlier on that sometimes people wait for them to be in crisis and then they call pastor pray for me pastor can pray but it doesn't always guarantee a change of story there are some things you do that can provoke the hand of god that guarantees a change of story one of them let me just mention a few of them quickly prayer pray pray ahead of 2021 don't just

[25:37] play into it pray into it don't just play we pray pray watch and pray that you fall not into temptation pray ahead so we pray when you pray out moves the hand of god pray see when you walk in prayer it will move the hand of god and number two i mentioned walk in love to god love god and make sure you have proofs of love for god you there are evidence all around you that this this lady loves god this gentleman loves god you must have proofs of your love for god yeah love god and number three is what i call covenant practices covenant practices is like we are taking communion you must learn how to take communion you must learn how to uh um give your tithe it's covenant it's just it's like a supernatural agreement with god and that's how things giving god praise pray engaging in praise and worship is covenant practice so there's covenant practices like fellowship being in fellowship with the other christian brothers and sisters having a good fellow it is our covenant not going to church you are breaching covenant practice not being part of active christian fellowship you are breaching covenant practice being in the environment of enjoying the company of sinners and behaving like them you are breaching covenant practices so kingdom projects they said we are doing this we are doing the church is doing this project the church is doing the god we are we are trying to do mission we are trying to open and then you you back it you get you involved these are king um covenant practices and the third one the fourth one is honor honor honor there is always somebody in your life you must honor and it will spare you some sorrows god that's how god works he will always give you opportunity of somebody to honor and usually it's not only one person there are people it can be your wife it can be your husband it can be your mother it can be your father it can be your process it can be your spiritual leaders some people in leadership over your life it can even be your boss honor people people who are ahead of you god god enjoys us when you honor especially when you honor your mother and father and your pastors it provokes god in a very unique way yeah yeah this year i see you working in higher levels of honor as i mentioned obedience and then let me add last to confession so i said prayer oh you can add fasting so prayer and fasting love covenant practices honor obedience obedience obedience what is god telling you obey obedience and then confession what are you saying what you say matter the things you are saying confession watch what you are saying it's not this year this year don't be caught saying some things never be caught saying some things no it's not right don't say it it will hurt you it will hurt your destiny it may look like it's fine there's nothing wrong with that but it is hurting your destiny your confession will determine your possession your confession will determine your possession what you say is what you will get be careful what you say don't say anything reckless say what god's word has said say what god's word has said this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth joshua 1 8 it shall not depart out of your mouth not under your pillow your mouth put it in your heart so you can speak it out this book of the law shall not depart out of your you have to speak it speak it so watch out your confession and finally let me just throw this in humility bible says god gives grace to the humble humility now look in genesis chapter 22 verse 15 and the angel of the lord called unto abraham out of heaven the second time somebody say the second time all right say the second time so that means he has done that the first time the first time he called him and said don't kill your son because if god had not intervened abraham would have obeyed god to any

[29:40] extent because he loved god and that's why god calls him my friend and the angel of the lord called the second time and said and the 16th and said by myself i've sworn says the lord can you might go say you did this i swear by myself you see that that's a serious one he said by myself i have sworn says the lord why because that has done this thing what is that thing and has not we tell thy son thy only son ah you were able to obey me to this level your only son this sacrifice you have given no human being can beat it he said because you have done this your level you see in the realm of the spirit sacrifice matters in the realm of the spirit the language the key language is sacrifice that is why there's no way we could have been saved from our sins delivered from the power of the devil without sacrifice in the realm of the spirit sacrifice the sacrifice of christ is the ultimate sacrifice but we also as human beings as we transact in the things of the spirit and we relate to god we must also have a certain level of dedication and willingness to sacrifice to god and take some steps of sacrifices if you check the scriptures always god will tell them bring me a sacrifice bible says when noah as soon as they came out of the ark noah built an altar unto the lord and took every clean beast every clean beast not the one that he doesn't like the ones that are clean the proper one the one that will cost you something he took every clean beast and every clean file and offered bent off on the altar guess what as soon as they came out of the ark noah built an altar and sacrificed look at the next verse and the lord's oh jesus god damn and the lord smelled a sweet server and the lord said in his hand i will not again cast the ground anymore for man's sake why because of this kind of sacrifice a man has given me and because of that i will god smelled it and he said i will never again cast the way i've done so i will never again when we give sacrifice it has a way of provoking heaven i'm telling you sacrifice has a way of turning things around in the spirit that's why the devil will always try and use that and say they are looking for this they are looking no one is looking for anything it is your sacrifice does not benefit the church sacrifice benefits the sacrificer the one who is doing it that's right as soon as we enter every year it's our custom we bring god sacrifice so that we remember that heaven smell the sacrifice and remember me thank you for listening to hear more from david entry follow him on facebook instagram twitter and linkedin why don't you subscribe to our youtube channel at caris church and subscribe to our podcast so you are always up to date be blessed
