Put Your Trust In God

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. In the book of John chapter 11, let's go to from verse 38.

[0:27] It says that, and Jesus therefore again groaning in himself, cameth to the grave. It was a cave. A stone lay upon it.

[0:38] And Jesus said, take away a stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, said to him, Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he has been dead four days.

[0:54] He has been dead four days. So, he said, he stinks because he's been dead four days. And guess what? And verse 41, then, verse 40, Jesus said unto her, said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of the Lord.

[1:20] In other words, did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? Did I not tell you? So, Jesus was trying to tell them that, you know, there are times where you might be going through certain things and it looks like four days dead.

[1:37] Today is day number four. Four days impossibility. Four days dead. And as soon as a person dies in his four days, the body, unless it is refrigerated, the body begins to decompose.

[1:55] It goes through petrification. It begins to decompose. So, if it is three days, maybe things might be slightly intact and there might be a certain level of hope.

[2:09] But as for four days, it is completely impossible. But in the verse 25, Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Jesus told Martha that I am, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life.

[2:26] He that believes in me, though he were dead, yet he live. So, he said, if you believe in me, though you were dead, yet he live.

[2:36] He said, I am the resurrection and the life. Life. I am the resurrection and the life. So, Jesus said, did I not tell you that you are thinking about the state of your problem?

[2:50] But he is trying to draw you. All he needs from you is not how better your situation is. All he needs from you is if you can believe. So, he said in the verse 30 again, didn't I tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?

[3:10] Did I not tell you? Did I not tell you? That if you believe, you will see the glory of God? Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?

[3:21] Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? Did I not tell you? my sister the devil is trying to attack your confidence in God oh what is going on is your faith that is under attack it's your faith Jesus told the centurion who said my servant is lying dead and some people came and told him that leave the master alone your servant is dead Mark chapter 5 from verse 35 and Jesus turned to the man and told him that don't be afraid only believe no Jesus didn't you hear what they said he's dead that person is dead Jesus said don't be afraid only believe four days four days might be too long for you I like the way a certain songwriter said he might be four days late but he's still on time praise God Jesus might be four days late but he's still on time I don't know who I'm talking to it looks like the time you wanted certain level of divine intervention if it didn't happen the time you needed something now it's too late and well you're hanging in there no don't hang in there believe in there believe stay inside and believe in him because did I not tell you it is not how things look good that will make you see the glory of God if you believe did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of the Lord

[4:52] I see God showing his glory in somebody's life our responsibility is to believe that is what Jesus said did I not tell you if you believe in Mark chapter 9 somebody came to Jesus in Mark chapter 9 and he said my son my son is grriveled is tormented by a devil if you can do something do heal him Jesus said if I can Jesus said all things are possible to him that believeth Mark chapter 9 verse 23 all things are possible to him that believeth and guess what the man said Lord I believe ah then he remembered he didn't really believe properly he said help my unbelief Jesus said you are saying that if I can but I'm telling you if you can believe some of you are not you don't believe let me read it for you just shortly Mark chapter 9 verse thank you Jesus

[5:55] I'll read from verse 22 and then 23 Mark chapter 9 reading let's read from verse 23 just to make matters short and the Bible says that Jesus said unto him if thou can't no let me read 22 to make sense and often times he was telling Jesus the story he said often times it has cast him into fire this guy gets seized by convulsions and a spirit of okay verse 20 and they brought him they brought unto him and they brought him unto him and when he saw him straight away the spirit tore or tear him and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming and he he asked his father and he asked his father how long how long is it ago since this came upon him and he said of a child in other words since he was a child verse 22 and then the man said often often times he has cast him into fire and into water to destroy him see how bad devils are devils will always want to push you don't you don't think the devil will attack you a little bit and say okay I've had enough no he never has enough the devil never has enough so he said

[7:18] I've attacked you a little bit but I've not had enough I'll attack you and attack you to the very end so Bible said he tries to destroy him remember John 10 the thief comes not to not but to steal kill and destroy that's why he comes when he steals your health when he steals your peace when he steals your education he hasn't finished he came to steal kill his objective is to kill any life in you any life in your marriage any life in your future any life in your career any life in your study he has to he wants to kill it and then when he finished he will just destroy everything kill he came to steal kill and destroy three things he comes when the devil comes he comes to steal kill so here Bible says that he was he will oftentimes throw the boy into fire can you imagine when the thing comes on him he will fall into fire the thing will make him go there's fire over there it will shake him and throw him into the fire it's just childhood and then sometimes when there's no fire he sees water he makes shake the child so maybe there's a pool the child will fall into the pool and start drowning they have to pull him out this spirit wants to destroy the child that's what the father said verse 22 and often time it has come cast him into fire and into waters to destroy him but if watch this this is where we are coming but if thou comes let me read from there new king james is somebody receiving something yes yes god is turning your captivity around amen god is turning your captivity around amen wow i feel something is shifting there's a shift there's a shift something is shifting in the spirit verse 22 again new king james he says that and often times often often he has thrown him both into fire and into water to destroy him but if you can do anything have compassion on us and help us ha do you know

[9:25] Jesus answered Jesus answered Jesus said to him if you can believe all things are possible to him you are giving me a condition that if I can do something I should do it I'm also telling you that if you can believe so ask for me Jesus said ask for me I can do something but it's can you believe can you believe god enough for your testimony can you believe god enough for your new face can you believe god enough can you believe god enough my sister I know you've been through a lot and I know a lot is going on around your life around your family around your health but can you believe god enough there's no point in not believing god and praying there's no point some people speak in those big talks but you're not believing god you are not exercising your faith Jesus said did I not tell you that if you believe some of you believe some of you believe in your man of god more than your god the god of your man he believed believe god believe god

[10:39] I believe someone said I believe I believe I believe I believe when you begin to believe the devil begins to misbehave he begins to show you things that his agenda is to suppress your faith to dwarf your faith to drown your faith that's the devil's agenda it's your faith he wants to destroy I'm talking about believing god mom better believe god for your son and stop using just depending just on what arm of flesh can do bible says in the book of first chapter i think two verse nine ten and eleven or so somewhere he said the arm of flesh will fail you the arm of flesh in other words pure human ability natural ability will fail you it gets to a time when natural ability is not good enough it's good you don't cast it away it's good like you are going to work it's good to go to work but listen you need to put your faith in god not your job because the things that you are trying to achieve and the things that you're supposed to do in your lifetime your salary is not good enough how can you do it you need to put your faith in god some people when things are good they don't look up to god but nothing is good enough to take you to your next phase in god he says that if you can do something please have mercy on us have compassion on us and heal the son he says that you're talking about me no sorry he didn't know if you can believe he said oh let me read it thank you jesus thank you jesus this thing is very strong i believe there are miracles that are about to be released so if you can believe all things are possible all it's not some things all things are possible all things are possible all things are possible not only a few not only a few things why are you so fearful he said jesus said if you can believe all things are possible guess what not everywhere when people say if there is god where are people no has someone there to believe god in that situation listen he says that all things are possible to him that believes so it is specific when you believe things become possible for you the one believing not the others not who are not believing so when they are asking where is god ask them have you believed have you believed before they started asking where is god because god shows up when he is believed let me tell you something god has an obsession can I say that again god has an obsession and god's obsession is to be believed when you believe god shows up when you believe god comes in when you believe god manifests himself when you believe can you believe that all things are possible to him that believeth and then immediately the father of the child said lord i believe at least the part i don't believe help my unbelief not to help my child help my unbelief because if my unbelief can be helped the situation can be turned around because faith can turn any situation around that's why tonight i am a helper of your faith in the book of one of the epistles paul said i think that's corinthians also so we are helpers of your faith but by faith we stand i came to help your faith believe god don't focus your attention on the things

[14:40] that are negative things that are going you'll be sick you'll be dead things will happen and you don't know and that that that and that that come on come on focus your attention on this on this stand on god's word not let the word of god be your platform amen not anything else last sunday as i was teaching my faith is built on nothing less than jesus blood and righteousness i don't trust in sweetest frame but only lean on jesus name he's the solid rock stand on the word of god stand on the word of god it may look like you are losing no you can't lose in the word you can't lose standing on the word because that's the only sure foundation that's the only solid ground jesus said he who listens to my words and put them into action is like the wise man who builds his house and builds it on a rock digs the foundation and puts you on a rock and he says that when you listen to my word and put it into action so it's the word of god when your life is built on the word of god your life is built on a solid foundation it can never sink it can never sink every other thing is sinking sand when you go into the desert there's something called quick sand usually it's in the desert you see normal sand but when you start on it will suck you drown in the sand it's not water sand but you start in it it's a quick sand every other thing is sinking sand it's going it's going it's like you know when you see the time the time glass when you turn it all there it's like the sand it's or salt whatever it's at the top then it's coming it's coming it's coming you let an ant be there or an insect be on the sand the thing is coming it will be trying to run but with time everything is sinking in everything in life is sinking from the word of

[16:36] God heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall never pass away Matthew chapter 5 I think there's 8 amen so I want to encourage you put your faith in God don't be afraid don't listen don't mind the unbelievers when they are complaining about your faith don't mind them didn't they didn't they tell blind but shut up he was crying out for mercy some people said shut up you are making noise that they were that was their judgment and that was their opinion and they were right in a certain sense because it was making noise but it wasn't it wasn't useless noise it wasn't useless noise it was noise that makes people make news there are certain things when you do you are not just making noise you are making news they thought he was making noise but he was making news today we are reading about him how about them we even know they spoke because of blind batting mouths we know they spoke because of blind batting mouths but not because of them you are making news in your family you are making news in your career you are making news so long as your background is concerned all eyes will see that God has helped you don't be afraid did I not tell you they fall four days dead but I told you that you will see the glory of God if you believe
