Faith For A Household

[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Etchie. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.

[0:14] Be blessed. In the book of Joshua chapter 6, this is such a beautiful text. You know, sometimes you don't have to wait till you feel.

[0:29] Once you connect by faith, you later realize that that was your moment that has given you a testimony. Some people are always waiting to connect with God or connect to God based on feelings.

[0:42] But it's not the ideal way to do things. But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, go into the harlot's house and bring out the woman.

[1:02] Okay. So this woman was used by God to save them because the king wanted to kill them. The king was after them because the king said some spies have come here.

[1:16] So the king sent for them to be arrested and be brought to him. But thank God for Rahab. Bible says that Rahab hit the spies and told the spies that I know God is with you.

[1:31] So please remember me when it is time for God to glorify his name in your lives. When God begins to do what he promised to do, I need you people to remember me.

[1:43] And they told her that we certainly will remember you. So they remembered her. Hallelujah. So they remembered her. And Bible says that when Jericho was now about to be destroyed, Joshua sent the spies and said, go into the house or go into the harlot's house and bring out the woman.

[2:10] Okay. And I thought it will say, or he will say the woman. He said, and all that she has. It's not only you.

[2:22] I think that is important to your life, critical to your life. It also comes under the blessing of God when God is with you.

[2:35] For that matter, your family, including those who are making life hellish for you, they are going to enjoy certain levels of immunities because of you.

[2:49] We want to pray and pray for our families. Tonight is household salvation. Your family members, some of you know this is your brother.

[3:04] The direction he's going. This is your sister. The direction she's going. What is happening with your mom? What is happening with your dad? You know that heaven must intervene. What better time would it be for us than to pray at this time?

[3:21] What better time would it be than praying at this time for that family member? Because God, watch this, God is a family conscious God.

[3:33] That is why he's so happy to call himself father. Father means family. Father is a family terminology. Father is a family. So other religions, no religion, no God as father because he's not a family God for them.

[3:50] But God, when it comes to true godliness, God reveals himself and he would love to be known as the father because he's also sending signals to you that he cares about your family.

[4:06] So when he called Abraham, he said, I'll bless you and not only you, you and your descendants. God doesn't bless you alone and leave those who matter to you. Some of us here, we need some visitation in our families.

[4:22] You need the hand of God in your family. If you are such a one, say amen. So God, we are going to pray. Now let me show you some, one or two scriptures to stand on to pray concerning your father.

[4:37] Let me read further. Verse 23. And the young men that were spies went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brethren and all that she had.

[4:52] And they brought out all her kindred and left them without the camp of Israel. So they brought them out and took them outside of the camp. They brought them out from where there was disaster.

[5:05] It's only Rahab, the woman who did them good. But they said, guess what? When God wants to visit you, your family members are also qualified. Some of us here, your father needs to be born again.

[5:18] You can't be the only one going to heaven. Your father must do, must make it. Your mother must make it. Your daughter must make it. Your son must make it. I mean, everybody connected to you.

[5:31] We have to believe God for their salvation first and then divine deliverance and intervention. How you're that addicted person or drug addict in your family must be saved.

[5:43] Must be saved. You can't be fasting with these dry leaves and going on. And then things are the same. Your family members are. It's like God must remember your household.

[5:55] God must remember your household. God will remember your household. In the mighty name of Jesus. And it says that, verse 24.

[6:07] And they burned the city with fire and all that was therein. Only the silver and gold and the vessels of brass and of iron they put into the treasury of the house, of the Lord's house, or the house of the Lord.

[6:23] That sounds very nice. They didn't spoil the good. They kept it in the house of God for God's work. That's interesting, isn't it? Verse 25 says that, and Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive.

[6:41] Bible didn't change their status. They said she was a harlot. For those of you who don't know who a harlot is, it's not someone who has a lot. Someone who is a core girl.

[6:54] Someone who is a prostitute. And not just a prostitute. She was running a whole brothel. The woman was a madame. She was running. She had other younger, younger, and other women who she had employed.

[7:08] That's why she could hide the spies in her business, in her house. Yeah. She hid them in her house. Because she was in charge of the house.

[7:20] But Bible says, verse 25 says that, and Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had.

[7:31] And she dwelt in Israel even until this day. Because, watch this, because she hid the messengers which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

[7:43] She hid them. It's only Rahab did it, but everyone connected to her benefited. You can't be there. You are the only one fasting, but people around you must also benefit.

[7:56] Your husband must benefit. Your wife must benefit. Your daughter must benefit. Your son must benefit. Your mother must benefit. Your father must benefit. Your brothers and sisters must benefit.

[8:08] Even some distant cousins must benefit. And uncles and aunties. Why? Because God is a God who cares about families. Bible says that he is also able to save to the uttermost.

[8:22] I see family visitation coming to somebody in the name of Jesus. And in Acts chapter 11 and chapter 16.

[8:33] Acts chapter 11 verse 14 and chapter 16 verse 13. Thank you, Jesus.

[8:49] Acts chapter 11 verse 14. Acts chapter 11 verse 14. He said when 13 says that and he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house.

[9:02] Talking about Cornelius. This is Peter talking. Cornelius showed us how he had seen an angel in his house which stood and said unto him, send men to Joppa and call for Simon whose name is Peter.

[9:12] Whose name is Peter. Verse 14. Who shall tell thee words whereby thou and not only you.

[9:24] Not only you. He's coming to tell you words whereby you and your household shall be saved. Household. Household. Household. Not only you.

[9:34] You and your household shall be saved. In Acts chapter 16 verse 13. Verse 15 rather. And she was baptized and her household.

[9:47] And she besought us saying we should stay. Now, this is talking about Dorcas. Dorcas was baptized. Not only her. Everybody say household. So, we are believing God.

[10:00] We are extending prayer for our household. This is called household salvation. Household deliverance. Household intervention. Household supernatural turnaround.

[10:12] Household testimony. We are praying for something. But some promotions are going to show up in your sister's life. Some job opportunity or breakthrough are going to show up in your brother's life.

[10:23] In your auntie's life. In your father's life. In your mother's life. Something must happen as we pray. I'm telling you. This fasting. Definitely something must happen in your household.

[10:35] Your household must have a testimony. This fasting. This season. Your household must have a testimony. And I see exactly that happening for you. In the mighty name of Jesus. Acts 16.31.

[10:49] When he asked Paul. The jailer said. What must I do to be saved? And they said unto him. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. And you shall be saved in your house. You shall be saved in your house.

[11:03] I'm just showing you these scriptures. So, you can have enough scripture to stand on. To believe God for household turnaround. How things are going with your brother.

[11:14] Enough is enough. What's going on with your sister. Enough is enough. What's going on with your parents' marriage. Enough is enough. God must visit your house.

[11:26] Finally, in Luke chapter 19. Verse 9 says that. And Jesus said unto him. This day salvation has come to your house. Jesus said this day salvation has come to your house.

[11:39] Not yourself. Your house. Say my house. We want to pray. And I want you to lift your voice. And pray about one.

[11:52] Anything of a concern in your family. Regarding your mother. Your father. Let's use this fasting to work for us. So, anything of a concern to your mother.

[12:05] Or about your mother. About your father. About your wife. About your husband. About your daughter. About your son. About your brother or sister. Anything that is of concern about your house.

[12:17] About the conditions in you. Anything that really weighs you down. That is a border. The Bible says be anxious for nothing. But in everything. By prayer and supplication.

[12:27] Let your request be made known unto God. Philippians 4.6. So, don't be anxious. But prayer. Don't be anxious. We are going to commit to prayer. Anything that is of concern to you.

[12:40] Concerning or regarding your household. That's one. And then number two. We are going to pray that Lord. Visit my family. With salvation.

[12:51] With deliverance. With testimony. Visit my family. Visit my marriage. Visit my daughter. Visit my son. Visit my wife. Husband.

[13:02] Whatever it is. We want to now pray. So, two things. Anything that is of concern. We want to tackle it in prayer. But then secondly. There are things that may not be of concern. But you.

[13:13] God. Has to show his goodness. Especially. First of all. In the area of salvation. Somebody becoming born again. A pure Christian. And that they are on their way to hell. So, we want to pray.

[13:24] That Lord. Let my dad come to know you. The way you've revealed yourself to me. Let my mom come to know you. The way you revealed. I know my mom has been going to church. But I know. Their church is not a church. They are not teaching them the ways of God.

[13:35] She's in church. But she's not born again. Father. Let my dad come to know Jesus. Let my father come to know you. Let my husband come to know Jesus. Let my. And then we also extend prayer.

[13:47] Concerning. Anything that your family. You can believe God for. Maybe your housing. Maybe your finances. Or conditions. In your house. Something. We are praying household.

[13:58] Household. Lift up your right hand. Say. Oh Lord. I pray. For my household. I commit my household. I commit my family.

[14:11] I commit my people. I commit my people. Into your hands. Into your hands. Oh Lord. Oh Lord. This is my house. This is my house.

[14:21] With your power. With your power. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In Jesus name. In your hands. Anybody going through a crisis moment in your family.

[14:36] Anybody going through a crisis moment in your family. I want to pray with you. I believe it's a turning point. It's a turning point. It's a time of a turning.

[14:48] Turn around. In the name of Jesus. I want to pray with you. If you are going through a crisis in your family. Just connect your faith. Connect your faith. And receive supernatural intervention.

[15:00] Father. You showed me. That there are people on this platform. Who are experiencing hurricanes. Things are boiling in their household.

[15:12] There's tension in their home. I pray. There's problems. There's. There's. There's. There's. The waters are bitter. Lord. I pray that Lord. That the bitter waters.

[15:22] Turn to sweet waters. In the mighty name of Jesus. I pray that the anxiety in that family. The fear in that family. The tension in that family.

[15:33] The sorrow in that family. The worry in that family. That anxiety in that family. Let it be turned around in the name of Jesus. I pray. I pray. Oh Lord.

[15:43] For every family. Every family represented on this platform. I pray for divine visitation. Every family going through any form of crisis.

[15:56] Every family going through any form of difficulty. I pray supernatural turn around. I pray supernatural turn around. I pray supernatural turn around. In the mighty name of Jesus.

[16:08] Amen. Amen. That brother. Who has been. Who has been hooked on to. Addiction that is destroying his life. That sister.

[16:19] Who has been hooked on to that addiction. That is destroying her life. That situation in the family. That is causing the entire family stress. And there's so much sadness in the family.

[16:30] I pray that may the God of heaven. Remember this family. And Lord. Turn things around. In the name of Jesus. Amen. I come against the tension in that marriage. Satanic attack over your marriage.

[16:41] I come against that demonic arrangement. That satanic pressure. Through the in-laws. I pray and overrule it in the name of Jesus. And I speak peace over your household.

[16:52] Peace over your household. Peace over your household. In the mighty name of Jesus. So shall it be. In Jesus name. Amen. We thank God for using his servant.
