Description

The resurrection of Christ was part of God’s recovery program for Christians. In Biblical numerology, the 7th day is the day of completion. Jesus resurrected on the 8th day. The 8th day signifies a new beginning, the old is gone and it’s a new day. The resurrection of Christ is an introduction to something new for us as Christians. Despite what we may have experienced in the past, there is always a new day. God has a plan for us and He does not make mistakes, but we must tarry as His plan will surely come to pass.

[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Rev. Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.

[0:13] Be blessed. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I want to show you some interesting things today I trust God within these few moments I have got here.

[0:26] Look at Genesis chapter 8 verse 4. Genesis chapter 8 verse 4. Genesis is the first book of the Bible for your information.

[0:40] So you don't have to go too far. Just begin with Genesis. Hallelujah. In the Bible it talks about in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

[0:55] And then when you read John chapter 1 it talks again about it. The beginning was the word. Now those beginnings, the beginning in Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and the beginning in John chapter 1 verse 1 are very similar but different.

[1:12] One of those beginnings was before the other one. The one in John is the beginning before the beginnings. So the one in John simply means that before everything began, the word was.

[1:30] Jesus has always been before. So before Genesis beginning, John 1 verse 1 said, before that beginning, that beginning the word was. In the deathless past, the word was before everything started.

[1:46] And so the word is God. The word is Jesus. The word is part of the triune God. Triune means three in one God.

[1:57] Somebody will tell you, I don't believe in the Trinity. Let's leave that aside and leave that alone. They also think they don't believe in the Trinity. Death. Forget about that.

[2:08] But in the beginning, in fact, there was a time Jesus was being baptized. Somebody say Jesus. In the book of Luke chapter 3 and Matthew chapter 3, Jesus was being baptized. Jesus being baptized. The Bible says that the heavens was open and the spirit of God descended.

[2:22] Who? The spirit. Say the spirit. Jesus was being baptized. And the spirit descended. And the Bible said, and God said. And God said, this is my son.

[2:33] All the three were in action. And then in Genesis, the three of them went into action. Who told you that God is not triune? It's called the Godhead.

[2:43] And so in the beginning, before anything started, the Godhead was. Was. And the Godhead decided to do something. He created you and I.

[2:55] He created us so that we can represent him here. We can be in his image. That's the priest. And we can be in his dominion.

[3:06] So, let us create man in our image and our likeness. Say priesthood. Say priesthood. The priest reflects God. And so he created us to be priests.

[3:17] And let them have dominions and dominion. So dominion is kingship. So we were created to be priests and kings. That is why we were created. But still entered the situation and subtract us and kicked us out of our created position.

[3:35] And so, we see. There is something that is more important than redemption. There is something that is deeper and stronger and more favorable in the sight of God.

[3:46] So, the reason why you are redeemed is you are redeemed in order to fulfill why you were created. That is why the devil wants to deceive people and tell them that creation is a lie.

[4:04] Because when you say creation is a lie, that means that you just showed up. No purpose. But creation is not a lie. God created you and I for people. But because we missed that purpose, he had to institute redemption.

[4:17] It's called recovery program. Somebody say recovery. So, Jesus came to install us back to where we were.

[4:30] Now, when Adam sinned, he lost something. There was something he was entitled to. Had he not sinned. And so, when you read Genesis, as soon as Adam sinned, God sent the angel to guard the tree of life.

[4:45] In fact, the entire Bible is about life. Somebody say life. The Bible starts with life. It talks about tree of life right from the beginning. And in Revelation, it talks about the tree of life.

[4:57] And so, Adam, because Adam sinned, God did not commit him to have an encounter and enjoy the tree of life. The tree of life is reserved for those who have divinity in them.

[5:09] And so, Jesus Christ came to recover us, to reinstall us to the initial position. And not just that. Jesus Christ's death has to, in one, buy one, get one free.

[5:21] They've got it from the Bible. Buy one, get one free. Now, he came to read instead as to where Adam fell. And not just that.

[5:33] And higher than that. So, there is something those of us who are born again have got, which Adam did not have. What is it? Divinity. God in us. That is like Jesus said that, I am the life.

[5:48] He said, I came that you may have life. And do all. Have it all. For your information, when he said that, he was not standing in the cemetery. Some of you didn't get it.

[5:59] You get a letter. Genesis chapter 4. Now, this is introduction. I'll come back to all this recovery stuff because Easter is about God's recovery program.

[6:10] Ephesians 2.1 talks about how God, according to his predetermined full knowledge, chose us before the foundation of the earth.

[6:20] So, before the earth began, that's why I told you that there is a beginning before the earth. It's a beginning. It's a beginning. It's a foundation. Before the foundation, some of us were chosen.

[6:32] If you are born again, you were chosen before you showed up. And so, he chose us from the beginning. And Jesus Christ had to come and die so that he can put the recovery program into source.

[6:45] So, you and I can discover ourselves in God. And he sealed that with the Holy Ghost. That's what Ephesians chapter 1 from verse 1 to 13 basically talks about. But today, look at something in Genesis chapter 4.

[6:59] What verse did I say, please? 8 verse 4. Alright, I just wanted to know those who are really following the name of the Spirit. Yes, I got you there.

[7:10] Now, Genesis chapter 8 verse 4. It says, And the ark rested. Say, rest. Yeah. Fuck. Like that word. Yes. Say, the ark rested.

[7:22] Say, the ark rested. Ark rested. Somewhere in the Spirit, the Bible said, And God gave David rest from war. I see it happening to somebody.

[7:34] Somebody. Yes, for you alone, you don't know why. Since you married. Since you came to London. Since you came to UK. Since you left home. Life has been from one battle to the other.

[7:47] War. Somebody saying, rest from war. There is something like resting from war. There is something like that. Because the Bible says, and God gave David rest from war.

[8:02] Somebody shout, rest from war. And prophesy into your life. That because of the new day. Because of the resurrection. You shall experience rest from war.

[8:14] You have been fighting and fighting and fighting. Listen, you were not born a fighter. You were born to enjoy. You were born to inherit.

[8:25] Because of God's presence. Even if your family is a boxing family. Wrestling family. Once you get into the new family of God. Your status changes from there.

[8:36] Hallelujah. That is why also, upon that premise. I announce to you. That you deserve rest from war. Somebody shout, rest from war. The Bible says that then they are rested.

[8:49] You know we are in a year of rest. Yes. The Ark rested where? At the seventh month. In the... Somebody read it with me. When did the Ark rest?

[9:00] The seventh month. The seventh month. The seventh month. The seventh month.

[9:13] Somebody say seventh month. The seventh month. The seventh month. Oh boy, that sounds very good. Now, so we finished reading that. Now, let me tell you about this story of the act.

[9:24] Because man sinned and man lost fellowship with God, the act, have you realized that the more the human beings, the more we grow, the more we know how to do bad?

[9:42] Some of you didn't know a lot of things. You were very innocent until you grew up a little bit more. And some friends introduced you, or your husband, or your wife, or your boyfriend, or girlfriend.

[9:56] So the more you grow, the more the evil in humanity begins to come closer to you. And so when Adam and Eve sinned and they lost their fellowship with God, the more people became evil.

[10:09] Have you realized that in those of you who have been around for a little longer, you know, I'm talking about 15 years or more, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, you realize that things have changed.

[10:23] People have become more evil. People, how can you shoot or kill a pregnant woman over something menial? The heart of man is a hell of a kid.

[10:35] It's a hell of a kid. And listen, laws cannot stop that. Law can threaten people, but when sometimes people get so angry, they don't care anymore.

[10:45] Let the Lord do. The thing is in the heart of man. So it is a heart problem, not a heart issue. So it doesn't matter how well you educate somebody. Their heart is a problem.

[10:55] The only way you can have a heart transplant, a heart growth change, is when Jesus gets into the heart. If Jesus is not in the heart, some of you, you knew him before you became born again.

[11:06] There are things you could do. There are things you could imagine. You wonder where did you do this talk come from. But when Jesus came, you lost it for some things. Your friends said, let's go.

[11:18] You wonder, I don't even enjoy it anymore. You have a witness here. Say, it's a heart issue. It's a heart issue. My God, I feel the Holy Ghost here. And so their hearts were so drawn away from God, and they plant into utter darkness and wickedness.

[11:34] So God said that, no, I have to wipe away humanity from the Savior and save some people. So he saved Noah and his children. Noah and his family specifically.

[11:45] Eight people. And he said, Noah, get everybody, every animal, two by two in the ark, and so we can preserve the animals and all that. Bible says that, and the whole earth was destroyed by rain.

[11:57] Listen to this very carefully. And so, apart from everybody, everything that lived, anything that had life, was destroyed. Apart from those in the ark.

[12:08] See the ark. But you can't say, you see, if they had stayed in the ark after now, they would have also been destroyed. They needed to come out of the ark. So when the flood was over, Bible says that the ark now rested.

[12:25] In other words, new life was about, put your hands together by Jesus. What has Noah's ark got to do with me this morning?

[12:35] My job situation has not got anything to do with Noah. Okay, you will see where you fit in. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Don't forget about what I told you.

[12:46] When did the ark rest? Seven days and the 17th. Seven days and the 17th. Look at Exodus chapter 12. Exodus chapter 12. Last week, I think we read from Exodus.

[12:58] And today we are reading from Exodus. There is something about Exodus which makes you feel like going forward. You can't stay in Egypt.

[13:09] You can't stay. No, listen. You were not meant for Egypt. But you are not been designed for Egypt. It's like you take a car tie, which has air inside, and try and suppress it, put it under the water.

[13:26] You can't be under water. It will come up. It will come up because it can't stay there. Some of you, the situation you are going through is just temporary because you can't stay there for long.

[13:38] You didn't hear me. You didn't believe me. I thought you can't stay there for long. Exodus chapter 12. What does verse 1 say? Read the verse 2. Read the verse 2.

[13:48] This month shall be unto you. The beginning of month. This month shall be unto you.

[13:59] You already did the microphone for me. This month shall be unto you. The beginning of the month. Pause. You remember? Say beginning. Beginning. Say beginning of month. Now, in other words, that really wasn't the beginning of month.

[14:13] If it was the beginning of month, God would have said this should be the beginning of month. So when God said this shall be unto you the beginning of month, he meant something. That was in the beginning. Now, in the Jewish calendar, what is to happen?

[14:25] What happened? The original calendar starts, the first month of the year starts from, usually it's between September and October. But, so, for the sake of our calendar month, it's September.

[14:40] That's why most of the time the schools and all that new year and all that September. You see, so the calendar month, the Jewish calendar, they have two types of calendars. So the original one starts from September.

[14:52] So, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, October. So October happens to be the first month of the Jewish calendar. Now, and then they have, that is the civil calendar. But they also had from that day, God told that it was going to be the beginning of month.

[15:06] So that became a sacred month. So the sacred calendar begins with that month. And that month happened to be in April. In April.

[15:17] And so, let's just try and count. Genesis. That's, oh, sorry, I said Genesis. You see, I love the Bible so much. For October. So, October is the first month. Forgive me.

[15:28] October is the first month. November 2, 3, 4, 5, March. That's 6.

[15:38] So, April is the 7th. But it happens to be the first sacred month. The first month of the sacred year is April.

[15:49] Don't forget about that. But April happens to be the 7th month of the civil calendar. All right. Is somebody getting something?

[16:01] Say 7th. Say 1st. Read of the 6th of Exodus chapter 12. And you shall keep it up until the 14th day of the same month.

[16:12] Of course. We are going somewhere. Someone is in Passover. This is good. Now, here is. He gave them instructions. He says that this very, the first day of the month, he gave to them this shall be the beginning.

[16:26] And he told them that every family should get a lamb and all that. The instructions are there. And he told them that you shall keep it, keep the lamb, bring it on the 10th day, examine it for four days.

[16:38] So, the lamb was supposed to be examined to make sure it is not sick. Those of you who have been given sick offering. God doesn't really like those things. That's just a chipping for you.

[16:49] If you don't understand it later, we will talk about that. So, I should go theologically. So, how do you define a sick offering? You know it when it's sick. It's your hand that defines your offering.

[17:01] Not with your hand. So, he said examine it. And then on the 14th day, what are you supposed to do? Of the same month.

[17:12] Yeah. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel. Yes. Shall kill it in in the evening. Shall do what? Kill it in. Kill it. You have to. What is it?

[17:25] There's a different translation. Put it differently. Exodus chapter 12 and 6. In translation, put it differently. How does that?

[17:36] What does it say? Slaughter. Look, can I read again your version, please? Take care of them until the 14th day of the month. Yes. When all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.

[17:50] So, when you slaughter the lamb, when you kill it at twilight, on the 14th day. Now, so, when you study very carefully, it was on the 14th day they slaughtered and told them that use the blood to mark your house on that same night.

[18:05] And so, when the evil spirit comes or the angel of death comes, you pass over, you, that's what we get. I'll pass over. And then, you know what? There was a swelling and bitter crying in the whole land of Egypt, but not in the camp of the children of God.

[18:22] And it was so remarkable that Pharaoh said, I can't keep you here any longer. You guys go. And so, God told them that this day shall be in memorial to you, all the rest of your generations.

[18:37] So, he told them that every year, you guys need to remember today, when I smote the firstborn of Egypt and release you. And so, it is called Passover.

[18:50] Say Passover. And so, it became a Jewish custom. So, on the seventh month, which will appear the first month of the Jewish calendar, or first month of the, sorry, sacral calendar, the seventh month, they always come together on a designated day to celebrate the Passover.

[19:13] So, Jesus showed up. So, anytime the family gather together, they all do it in family. Anytime they gather together and come to take Passover, the leader tells them that this is the lamb that was lent. And once they were doing it, see, Jews are prophetic.

[19:28] They believe in prophecy. So, they were looking forward to the Messiah. So, when Jesus showed up in John chapter 1 verse 21, and John said, Behold the lamb of the Lord. Why did Jesus send the lamb of God?

[19:39] Because they were looking forward to a lamb of God. Now, oh my God, I'm going somewhere. Say Abraham. Abraham, go. Ask Abraham, go and sacrifice your son for me.

[19:49] In Genesis chapter 22. And Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac. And God saw his heart. And God said, Abraham, go and sacrifice Isaac. Guess what?

[20:00] I'm going to provide myself a lamb. And so, God provided himself a lamb on a mountain called Mount Moriah. Mount Moriah. And guess what?

[20:11] God offered himself a lamb. And so, the Jews always remember the lamb that was sacrificed by Abraham. God provided. And it was a prophetic indication.

[20:22] In fact, a prophetic statement that one day God would provide himself a lamb. Watch this very carefully. Abraham, it was his only son. And God provided his only son.

[20:33] So, Abraham did, almost did what only God could do. He was willing to sacrifice his only special son. God specifically said, give me your only son whom thou love it.

[20:46] Somebody say, I have an Ishmael. God said, your only son. So, God did not recognize Ishmael as Abraham's heir. Now, watch this. And so, God, the Jews knew that one day God is going to provide himself a lamb.

[21:02] And then the Passover comes in. And there was an issue of lamb. So, they knew that the combination of these two events is pointing to a mental day. When God is going to provide himself a lamb.

[21:13] That is why John the Baptist, when he saw Jesus coming, he said, behold the lamb of God. Who takes away the sins of the world.

[21:25] Hallelujah. It doesn't matter what you've done, but the lamb can take it away. Who takes away the sins of the world. And so, Jesus came as the lamb.

[21:35] And so, guess what? Just the interesting bit. God is a God of prophecy. I'm going to show you something in a minute. Interesting. Jesus Christ, on the day of the Passover, Mark chapter 12, or chapter 14, verse 12, he sent his disciples and he said, go and prepare and look at Mark chapter 12.

[21:55] Quickly. Mark 14, 12. Mark 14, 12. I'm following. Thanks be to God. Mark 14, 12. If you are getting lost, don't worry.

[22:07] You'll be found. Mark chapter 14, verse 12. Oh my God. Oh my God. Our God is a good God. Our God is a good God.

[22:19] Have you found it? See, it says that. And the first day of the unliving bread, when they killed the Passover, you see the Passover? Passover. So they are doing it, you're always remembering.

[22:31] When they killed the Passover, his disciples said unto him, where would thou that we go and prepare that we may eat the Passover? Passover. It's something that, if you had you, it's a man.

[22:44] So then, they knew they were going to, that night, they told him, where should we be praying? For the Passover. Say Passover. Passover. And so, he showed them what to do.

[22:55] And they went into the upper room. They went there to go and have the communion, what we call communion. Guess what? And after that very night, when he took the bread, the Bible says, you know, those of you who are familiar with church, especially if you were raised in an Anglican background or Catholic background, we call it a communion, you always hear is that, on the night he was betrayed, he took the bread.

[23:15] I mean, you see the Bible, in fact, in 1 Corinthians chapter 11, 23, that was this. So on the night he was betrayed. So the very night he was betrayed. Say the very night. He took the bread.

[23:27] And he gave thanks. And so that day, at the beginning of the Passover, they went to take the communion, the Passover. And guess what? After he took the communion with his disciples, you know what he told them?

[23:38] He said, this is the last time I'm going to do this with you. But as often as you do it, now I didn't say we do it to remember the Passover lamp. And so, this issue of Passover will not stop.

[23:53] That's why we keep taking communion. But our communion is not pointing to Egypt. It's pointing to Christ when he really sets us free from satanic Egypt.

[24:06] And so in Colossians chapter 1, it says, Christ delivered us from the purpose of darkness. And so it said, don't listen to remember me. He said, remember me. That's why we took communion.

[24:16] So it replaced the old Passover. Jesus' Passover. Jesus' communion replaced the old Passover. And so, as I told you earlier on, when did God say they should take the Passover?

[24:30] From Exodus. It's not seven days, please. Seven days, seven days. Fourteenth day at twilight. Fourteenth day. Twilight means that in the evening.

[24:42] Fourteenth day of the month. That happened to be a Thursday evening. And so that same night they took the communion. That's what everybody does in all the Jews.

[24:53] That same night was the night he was betrayed. And you know, when he was betrayed, throughout the night the judgment was going on, they crucified him nine o'clock in the morning. Now, the Jewish calendar, the day does not start in the morning.

[25:05] It starts on seven. So, let's say, today is Sunday. Today didn't start this morning. In the Jewish, according to Jewish day, it starts last night, 6 p.m.

[25:18] So 6 p.m. starts Sunday. That's how it is in the Jewish calendar. And today ends 6 p.m. And then toward Monday starts. So that is. So it was really on the 14th day.

[25:29] After they took the communion in the evening, he was betrayed. And so when was he crucified? On the 14th day. Because they took that same night they took the communion.

[25:42] That was the same day he was crucified. So he was crucified on the 14th day. He said that I will resurrect in three days. Let go. What are you talking about?

[25:53] Let go. Put your hands together for Jesus. God does not do anything by asking. That is why I know your problem is not by accident. He will show up.

[26:04] He will show up what you are going through. So on the 14th day, he was crucified. Look, look at something. Look at Mark chapter 3, chapter 8. You already in Mark. So look at chapter 8.

[26:16] Mark 8. My God. Mark chapter 8. The Frenchman will say, Mark Chabit. I've forgotten it. I had to say it in French. But I remember later. Normally, on Sundays, my French goes.

[26:31] Mark chapter 8. Are you there? Verse 3-1. 31. Somebody reading with a loud voice from me. Anybody. Read it.

[26:42] He began to teach them that a son of man must not suffer many things. He must suffer. Don't worry. Must suffer many things. And he began to teach them that a son of man must suffer many things.

[26:53] He is rejected of the elders. Rejected of the elders. And of the chief priests. And of the chief priests. And scribes. And scribes. And be killed. And after three days. After how many days?

[27:04] Three days. When was he killed? Fourteen days. Fourteen plus three. I thought you'd be clapping for Jesus.

[27:18] But if it was not just that. What would we do? It was not just that. Which month was he crucified? The first month. Which happened to me then? Seventh month. Do you remember?

[27:29] Noah's Ark. Which month did the Ark rest? On the seventh month. On the seventeenth day. Yes. And God knew all along what he's about.

[27:44] God knows what he's about. Somebody said God knows what he's about. God knows what he's about. And so. If the Ark had not rested.

[27:54] They would have perished in the Ark. If Christ has not resurrected. You and I. Let's see what Paul said about that. Look at first Corinthians. And you meet someone and say.

[28:07] Now. Jesus just died. In a sense. Saribos said. The death of Jesus is not important. It's not like. It's not like. It's not like. It's not like. It's like. He just came to live a good life. So. So we can't emulate his life.

[28:17] And follow him. And so. Listen. Learn his teachings. And you'll be okay. You are an ignorant person. You don't know anything about what God is doing. You see.

[28:30] The recovery program. Has very much everything to do with the death. Of Christ. If Jesus did not die. It's not necessary. We are.

[28:41] Being here is unimportant. Anybody who tries to trivialize the death of Christ. Listen. The death of Christ was never even once said to be remembered in the Bible. The Bible never told us we should remember his death.

[28:54] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Not really the point. But the Bible says that we should remember his death. Because it all began at the cross. He needed to die on the cross.

[29:09] Are you in 1 Corinthians? What chapter? You remember that Bible reading. It says that on the first day of the week. Some of you are not listening to the Bible reading.

[29:19] You are not used to that. In Luke chapter 24. Verse 1. The Bible talks about. In Matthew chapter 28 as well. Verse 1. It says that on the first day of the week. Say on the first day of the week.

[29:30] On the first day of the week. If it's on the first day of the week. Then what day? When you are counting the order of counting. Chronologically.

[29:41] First day of the week is number 1. First day. Second. Two. Third day. Three. So chronologically. The first day of the week. What day is it?

[29:51] So long as last week is concerned. Not a particular day. In the order of numbers. First day of the new week.

[30:05] Happens to be what day of the old week. Seven days is one week. So the next day after one week.

[30:16] Is the eighth day. Eighth. Did you get. Did you. Are you getting. Let me. Seven days make a week. And so.

[30:26] And then the next week is eight. It's also seven days. And so when one week finishes. When the next week is starting. The first day of that week. Happens to be the eighth day of the previous week.

[30:38] So eight. It's the new beginning. Eighth day means that. The old has gone. Now. Now. In God's calendar. Biblical terminology.

[30:50] The. Number eight. Is the new beginning. The number of new beginning. Number seven. Is the number of completion. Completion. Complete number seven. So one week was completed.

[31:02] Eight. The first. Why should you resurrect on the first day? First day. Of that week. It means that. The old has been now dealt with.

[31:16] It's a new day. It's a new day. So that's why. Bible specifically. On the first day.

[31:27] Of the week. That is why. The Sabbath day. Is the seventh day. That is the Saturday. But the Sunday. Is the first day. And that is why.

[31:38] The church fathers. Started. This. Saturday service. It's a service on Sunday. It's not. So it's also a seventh day. We must worship on seventh day. You have to worship every day. But for us to gather together.

[31:51] In the name of the Lord. Celebrating. What we are in Christ. Is the first day. God. That is the day of resurrection. That is the new day. That is why.

[32:01] Sunday really. Is the first day of the week. How many of you know that? Yes. So. It is not about days. But all these days. Are very significant. In the programming of God. Somebody shout.

[32:12] It's a new day. A new day. Shout. It's a new day. Listen. Listen. I come to speak to somebody. It doesn't matter. How much. What you've suffered in the past. It is a new day.

[32:25] What is the importance. Of his resurrection. Because. Thank you. It is the resurrection. That ushers us. Into newness of day.

[32:36] In fact. In the book of Romans. Chapter 6. It takes up. Just as Christ was raised. From the dead. By baptism. So. So. By baptism. We are also raised.

[32:47] Into newness of life. Verse 11. Romans 6. 11. We are raised. Into new lives of life. Just like Christ was raised. From the dead. And so. The resurrection.

[32:58] Is always an introduction. To something new. If they tell you. The resurrection is not important. The devil is speaking. Through them. Look at the book of.

[33:10] As I said. And young. 1 Corinthians. Chapter 15. Interestingly. We. You know. The verses we are going to read. On what day of the man did Jesus die? On what day?

[33:23] On what day? On what day? On what day? Are you following? On what day of the man did Jesus die? Okay. When? Fourteenth day. Alright.

[33:33] I mean the man. The day of the man. And on what day of the man did he resurrect? Seventh day. Seventh day. This is nothing very spiritual. But I found it quite coincidentally interesting. Let's read verse 14.

[33:45] And verse 17. First Corinthians 15. Verse 14. Have you found it?

[33:57] For this time we are all going to read it together. Because this is very significantly powerful. Not second Corinthians. But first Corinthians chapter 15.

[34:10] Verse 14. Let's all read 14 together. And if Christ be not a reason. Then is our preaching vain. And your faith is also vain.

[34:23] Pause. What does it mean for something to be vain? Useless. Sorry? Wasted. Yes? Empty.

[34:36] Sorry? No meaning useless. For instance. If. Some of you have dummy phones for your children. The children. Now the children like mobile phones.

[34:47] They don't know where they got that phone. Some of you have bought dummy mobile phones for your children. And maybe play with it. You know it's a very vain phone. So long as mobile communications.

[34:59] Because that thing is useless. So Paul said. If Christ did not resurrect. All this preaching we are doing church business. Is like that mobile phone the child.

[35:10] It can't do anything. If Christ did not resurrect. Who told you the resurrection? It's not happening now. In the book of Acts. Oh. Acts. Acts chapter 3.

[35:20] Verse 24 and 20. Bible says that. God in his predetermined counsel. Blonde that Jesus would die at the time he died. In fact Galatians chapter 4 verse 4.

[35:32] Bible says. In the fullness of time. Say fullness of time. God doesn't do things by accident. That is why he's on his way in your life. He's about to show up.

[35:43] Just hold on a little longer. Hold on a little longer. God is on a high speed. Top speed.

[35:54] About to execute his intentions in somebody's life. Oh that's why Habakkuk says that. Even though he tarries. Wait for it. He shall show on.

[36:05] Somebody show. Say surely. Show. Somebody say surely. Show. And in other words. It shall definitely come to pass. Coming to pass means it shall happen. When God says it.

[36:16] It shall happen. God said it. I believe it. That's it. That's it. Somebody show. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And so. Bible says that. If Christ did not resurrect from the dead.

[36:28] Then our preaching. I don't have to stand and do all these noises. But guess what. Do you know why I'm excited about what I'm doing? Because Christ resurrected. This thing is not vain.

[36:40] Hallelujah. This thing carries potency. It carries power to deliver. In fact. Proposits this way. He said. For those who are perishing.

[36:51] Our preaching is foolishness. Romans chapter 1. He said. Those who are perishing. Our preaching. Preaching. Our preaching. The declaration of God's recovery program.

[37:03] That's which is called the gospel. Those who are perishing. Our preaching is foolishness. But to those of us who are saved. He said. It is the power of God. But to those who believe.

[37:17] The same thing that is vain to some people. It's the power of God. Up to salvation. See the power of God. Why? It's all because he resurrected.

[37:29] So. Come and. Come and. Come and. Reel me down. I said. What else has that got to do with me? That means that this thing we are doing here this morning. I need to help somebody.

[37:41] It's not a social gathering. It's not a. Yes. People will dress and come. But I didn't say that. You guys are looking so good. When my wife came in from there.

[37:52] I felt like we should do wedding again. Because everybody is looking so good. It felt like a wedding day for me. But we didn't show up just for social gathering sake.

[38:03] We show up because when we gather. My God. Something is released in our midst. And it begins to work. Sometimes you don't have to know it's working on you. You know.

[38:14] Some of you have been in certain areas. And things happen to you. You were exposed to certain radiations. You were exposed to certain waves. And something's happened to you.

[38:24] And you didn't even know it was happening. Until later you realize that it had an effect on you. Likewise I tell you. I heard about the soldiers who fought in the first Gulf War. Some radiation or some things that they were meant to take you on.

[38:36] They didn't know. But later on they realized the effect. I'm also submitting to you. That you may be sitting here. You may not know what is going on. But I'm telling you. Something is going on. Because this thing is not in vain.

[38:49] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You can't afford not to be where the people of God are. Because as soon as we gather. What is not in vain begins to happen. Read up verse 17.

[39:01] That is the most important word. Verse 17. It says that. We are going to read this together. One more. Are you ready? Verse. First Corinthians 15, 17. Let's go.

[39:12] And if Christ be not raised. Your faith is vain. You are yet in your sins. Cursed settled.

[39:24] Watch this. Anything about God. Anything about our relationship with God. Is hooked to. Is founded on the resurrection. Because if the act did not land.

[39:38] All we are talking about is not necessary. It took the acts resting. The act of London. And the act resting on the earth. Do you remember I talk about the mountain.

[39:51] Or the mount of Moriah. Where Jesus was. Where the Abraham slain. Interestingly. God doesn't do anything by accident. It was on the very same mountain. Where Jesus.

[40:03] Was crucified. He spent much of his time in Galilee. Away from Jerusalem. Much of his time. But when it was about time. He told himself. Let us go to Jerusalem.

[40:15] And that's when Peter said. You can't go and die. You can't go. And he said. Devil. Get behind me. He went to Jerusalem. And they crucified him on the same mountain. God.

[40:26] Isn't it. God knows what he's about. In your life. Just allow him. Believe him. Depend on him.

[40:36] Because he's a master planner. He knows the beginning. He knows the end. Bible says that he is the author. And the finisher.

[40:47] Of our faith. Bible says that in him. All things consist. What are you talking about? Without him was nothing made. That was made in creation. Chapter 1.

[40:58] Verse 16. He says that. By him. All things were created. Not visible. And invisible. There are some things that have been created already. And are yet invisible. So the fact that you don't see.

[41:09] Doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The fact that you don't know. If you don't see. Doesn't mean it's not going to happen. But. Paul says in 2nd Corinthians. Chapter 4. He said we walk by faith. And not by the way we feel.

[41:20] And not by the way we see. You may not feel like it. You may not see it. But believe it's the reality. Believe it. Believe it.

[41:31] He said this thing. Pastor David is doing here. This speaking. He said if you are listening to me on that sound tape. Or video. Wherever you are. This thing you are hearing is not by accident.

[41:41] It works for you. And this thing I'm doing. Is the channel to no miracle. Some of you are about to bomb into some miracles and testimonies.

[41:53] That don't make sense. Listen. It doesn't have to look like God will do it for him to do it. Sometimes it may look like it will not happen. But believe it for God.

[42:04] Genesis chapter 1 verse 1. He said in the beginning was. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was void and without hope. And God said.

[42:15] Let there be light and there was. So it doesn't matter how void your situation may look. It doesn't matter how wasteful and waste it has gone. It doesn't matter how bad it may look.

[42:26] All you need. Lord speak your word. Because the preaching is not in vain. The word when the word comes is not in vain. If I accomplish something. It's a source of my word be.

[42:38] So shall my word be. Isaiah 55 verse 11. So shall my word be the gold out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void.

[42:52] But it shall accomplish. It's the accomplishment. It's the accomplishment. It does. It does something. It makes things happen. When the word is discharged.

[43:03] When the word is released. Oh. I love this. Can we. Because of the resurrection. Because of the resurrection. It has set a new thing happening. Some of you are about to experience resurrection in your life.

[43:18] Your family is about to experience an eighth day. An eighth day. Things that have not happened in your family before. Things that have not happened to your elder brothers, your father, your uncles.

[43:31] It's going to start with you. Because of the eighth day. Because of the eighth day. Because of the resurrection. Somebody shall not believe.

[43:43] To those who believe it is the power to deliver. It is the power to deliver. I see God on your case. I see God.

[43:56] Jump in and sitting on your case. And he said don't worry. You do what you are doing. I am taking care of it. Do what you are doing. I am taking care of it.

[44:06] God has taken care of somebody's case. Why? He says that. Casting my. I like this. Casting all your care. Upon him.

[44:18] Christ Peter chapter 5 verse 7. Casting all your cares upon him. For he cares for you. If he says cast upon me. Why do you keep it?

[44:28] Why do you keep it? Casting all your cares. He said I am here to take care of it. Because of the resurrection. Because of the resurrection.

[44:38] I am taking care of it. You are qualified. Efficient chapter 1 verse 11. It says that. For in him we have an inheritance among the saints.

[44:49] Why? Because of the resurrection. That is why Paul says that. From henceforth. Let no more trouble me. For I bear in my body. The mass of Christ.

[45:00] The cross of Christ. Is what I identify with. Paul said for many that I should boast. Save in the cross. Of Christ my Lord. Oh the old time songwriter says.

[45:12] On the hill far away. Stood an old rugged cross. The emblem of suffering and shame. Oh and I cherish that old rugged cross.

[45:23] The sun that fell in the cross. In the cross. In the glory ever. To my sons. My little souls are fine. Rays beyond the rivers.

[45:36] The cross is all I take. The cross is all I take. Not my intelligence. Not your connections. Not your power. Not your education.

[45:47] All those things may come in handy at the time. But it takes the cross. It takes the cross. It takes the cross. It takes the cross.

[46:01] It takes the cross. It takes the cross. if Christ did not resurrect then our believing is in vain what does that mean one should believe it's not even because he didn't stay there oh the songwriter the psalmist says that they say this also he says that for death could not hold him captive even in the grave he is no hopeless for who not hold him captive even in the grave he is watch this listen listen listen listen listen Jesus is not just life he was life that's different but he said

[47:04] I am the life and the resurrection he himself he was not giving life he is resurrection death cannot keep resurrection down he has come into your life to begin something new you need not to hold on to the old world because he said you can't put a new wine in an old world it will burst it will bring confusion you will understand some of us are in church but we still think like when we're in the world we still handle the word of God like when we didn't know Jesus we still handle the word of God and say we don't have belief but when you come to God you have to change the way you think about his worth it doesn't have to look like you do it all you got to do is to hear you say I'm going to do it Mary said in the book of Luke chapter 1 verse 45 it says that blessed is he that believer for there shall be a performance there shall be a performance hallelujah we live you perform we live somebody shall believe for there could not be a performance we thank God for using his servant
