[0:25] When you pray, it prepares your spirit to be able to receive the word. Or let me put it this way. When you pray, it positions you and choose you to receive revelation.

[0:41] You can receive revelation with your natural mind. So, revelation is a matter of prayer.

[0:51] Shall we say that together? Revelation is a matter of prayer. Say that again. Revelation is a matter of prayer. Say it for the last time. Revelation is a matter of prayer.

[1:02] In Ephesians chapter 1, verse 16, 17, 18. From verse 15, actually, it says that, Therefore, I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and for your love for all the saints.

[1:24] This is what I said earlier on. Did you see that? Look at it again. Look at it again. Look at it again. It said, Me too, when I heard about you, and in what way did I hear about you?

[1:38] Huh? I heard about some things about you. The information that got to me was so important. It had to do with your faith and your love.

[1:50] So, it says that, when I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus, and what? You can't tell me you love Jesus or you know Jesus and you don't value the saints.

[2:08] It's a fake faith. If you have faith in Jesus, it will translate in your love for other Christians. You know, I told you about saints. As soon as I hear, I love Jesus.

[2:23] I have faith in Jesus. Yes. To know it's genuine faith, it will show in your attitude towards church and church people. So, if the two are not in place, something is wrong. Something is wrong.

[2:37] Something is wrong, I'm telling you. What you are claiming to be, what you are claiming about, or claiming, regarding Christianity, is not authentic. It's not authentic.

[2:48] It's not authentic. I know you are wearing a Rolex watch, but it's from Dubai. Vauxhall Market. It's a replica faith.

[3:01] Because if it's an authentic, genuine faith, it will translate into loving the saints. You say, I've seen Jesus. He will show you the church.

[3:14] Oh, Jesus. I've seen you. He will show you the... Jesus is like one sign. Church. You come to me, and it directs you to the church.

[3:26] You can't go to the church and come to Jesus. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. You come to Jesus, he points you to the church. So that because...

[3:37] There are some people, they've come to the church. So, he saw this one. This guy came to Jesus, and Jesus brought him to the church. And this one saw...

[3:49] This one also came to Jesus. Jesus brought him to the church. So, this one saw that these guys are in church. And he also comes to join them in church. But Jesus didn't send him. So, you look at them, they are all doing the same thing.

[4:03] But one is not genuine. One is a lost person, a lost soul. They are all playing the instruments. But one of them is not correct.

[4:15] And he's end up polluting the other ones. And so, when you go to them with a message. Hey, serve God.

[4:25] Serve God. Suddenly, this one and this one, something will move in their heart. But this one doesn't see what you are talking about. He doesn't see what you are talking about. He can be actually annoying with you.

[4:38] What are you talking about? Thank you, guys. You go to Jesus. The more you are running after Jesus, the more it will show in your attitude towards serving the saints.

[4:57] Church work is about serving the saints. It's not about the saints clapping for you. It's not about the people. Now you have become very important. You are a leader. You are working. To flex your muscles.

[5:08] To show, hey, I'm the one in charge here. You don't do that. No, no. That's not it. You are not doing church work. You are coming for image. Some people, if you give them responsibility, make them a leader or something.

[5:22] Then they begin to lord it over people. They will let you know that they are the one in charge. You don't love Jesus. You don't love Jesus. When you are talking to people in your team.

[5:34] You talk to them like you died for them. Wow. Wow. That's so cool. Wow. It's like you were the one who shed your blood to save them from their sins.

[5:48] A pastor who treats church members like, hey. It's like you probably have not seen Jesus. If you have seen Jesus, you love his people.

[6:01] You treat them with a lot of care. Amen. So, he says that, since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, end.

[6:14] How come you only have faith in Jesus? There is no end love for the saints. Wow. They go hand in hand.

[6:24] Faith in Jesus, love for the church. Faith in Jesus, love for the saints. When you love the saints, it's not you feel romantic about them and you feel excited about them.

[6:35] No. You love, that's agape love. Agape love is you save them. You do something about what they need. Agape love is a love that gives you its time to meeting your need.

[6:55] Your time is dedicated to meeting the needs of the people of God. It's serving them. Making sure that service is going well and you are happy. It doesn't matter whether you are recognized, you haven't been recognized.

[7:07] Anybody's applauding, you know why he's applauding you. Anybody's paying, you know why he's paying. He doesn't even care to you. It's like your grandma is not feeling well and she lives alone.

[7:21] And so during the Christmas, you decide to go there before you leave for work every morning. You go and just clean the place. And it's everywhere you finish, you are thinking about it. Nobody's recognizing you.

[7:32] It's with your care to you that you are even doing something. It's just... Or your baby brother or your baby sister. Your mama's just popped out and the baby's crying in the room.

[7:45] And he's poo all over himself. And he didn't. And he's lying in the pool. And he says, child. And you go and say, oh, oh, oh, no, no, no. You take him to the bathroom.

[7:55] Clean him. Wipe him. And he's doing it. And you finish your waiting. Also, won't anybody appreciate for what I'm doing? Even if you love your brother so much that you don't even care whether...

[8:11] You can't even go and use your money to buy diapers. You don't care. You don't have to use the money to buy some McDonald's or some food.

[8:21] But you use it for... You don't care. You don't care being spent and be spent. Spending and be spent. You don't care. If you love God, it will show in your attitude towards church.

[8:36] Most people think they have faith. They don't have faith. They have faith. They don't have faith. Therefore, also, after I heard of your faith, if you have faith, people will know about it.

[8:50] People will know about it. Somebody will tell me that, oh, this lady... I come sometimes all I have to do is to ask the leaders of chaos here.

[9:01] Oh, you can face to... This is my heart. How is this person doing? They will say, oh, pastor, this person is doing so well. He's trying. He's doing very well.

[9:13] I mean, these are people who are loyal to me. And they know my spirit. They know my heart. They know how to... If they give you a recommendation, I don't have to think about it. Somebody will speak about you.

[9:26] Who your leader is. What your leader knows or thinks about you, it will show. I mean, it is this kind of people I would like to pour my heart and my life into.

[9:41] The change in their lives is evident. Evident. Evident. Very evident. So, you can work with some people who we have appointed.

[9:56] The problem is not them. It's you. So, everybody who is working under somebody, I am interested in what the one you are working under has got to say about you.

[10:13] You will never know, but it's very important. Who you are working under, what they've got to say about you. Mattis. Mattis. Because Paul said, he didn't say, I've seen.

[10:23] He said, I've heard of you. Someone told him. It was said to him. It was said to him. He didn't find out himself. Some people told him about your faith.

[10:36] Some people told him about your love for the saints. And, if this is, I've heard, every senior minister is interested in what the people who are working with other people have got to say about the people they are working with.

[10:55] I don't ignore it. If she even if she's personal, she doesn't like it. Doesn't like you. I still listen to how you be relating to it.

[11:10] Because I will know. I will know whether it's just speaking on you or whether it's you who are actually a problem making the work difficult. Some of you the sadness is hard to work with you.

[11:27] When people are working with you, you always give them problems. So it said, after I heard of your faith and your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I also did not see. See, that's why this verse 15 is a whole preaching.

[11:47] If you don't take it, you will notice it. There are times Thank you, Jesus.

[12:00] There are times you an anointed leader cannot, would not be able to do something about some people until after you have heard. Sometimes you are waiting to hear something.

[12:13] It's after I have heard. Not before I heard. I wasn't waiting to see. I just wait. I just have to hear. It's enough.

[12:26] After I have heard about your faith or of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love.

[12:37] You can say it's just between me and God. It's in my heart. No, no, no. People might see it and tell it. People might see it and tell us. After I heard about your faith and I did not cease to pray.

[12:51] I did not cease to to thank to give thanks for you. Did you see that? The kind of life you are living. The apostle said every time I'm on my knees I'm thanking God for you.

[13:06] I can't cease. I can't cease. I can't stop saying God I thank you thank you for this one. Making mention of you in my prayers.

[13:19] You have to make it to apostolic prayer list. But there are some things when you do you automatically move yourself into the apostolic prayer list.

[13:34] The apostle's prayer list you are there inside it. Because he is thankful to God for you so much he will end up praying for you. Yeah.

[13:48] Most of you here if anything touches you I will be very upset. nothing can go wrong with you because you are too important. You have to choose to add yourself.

[14:00] It's a choice. It's a choice. You have to choose to add yourself by making yourself relevant and committed to the things of God. Anyway but I said when I heard about your faith I cease not to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers.

[14:23] Wow. And then he brings a prayer topic. You see prayers no God prayers column the column means that now let's find out what his prayer topic was.

[14:39] The apostolic prayer topic. the apostolic prayer topic. What is the prayer topic?

[15:01] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of glory may give you spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Lord amen.

[15:15] That's the best prayer. He didn't talk about he should give you money and give you a job give you he said he would give you the spirit do you remember this I've been talking about?

[15:29] He said God that I'm praying that God may give you the spirit of wisdom and I'm telling you when it comes to revelation it's a matter of prayer. Revelation is not a matter of teaching revelation is a matter of prayer when you expose yourself to an environment of prayer and prayer goes on it prepares you to be able to receive revelation because if it has to do with knowledge knowledge is thought I don't have to pray for you to know I have to teach you to know but this kind of knowledge is not my teaching it's my prayer I'm praying that first of all God may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him so you can know him but there is a revelation in the knowledge of God in the knowledge of Christ there's a wisdom and revelation and it's a spirit of wisdom spirit of wisdom spirit of wisdom revelation in the knowledge of him that the eyes of your understanding doesn't it sound like the veil some people want oh pastor

[16:50] I won't go to use me how are you allowing yourself to be used on the ground pastor the way the things you know the way I want to also be deep like that so you are going to buy big bibles to be deep you're joking it's not your fat bible that will make you deep me I like fat bibles anyway it's not your fat bible that will make you deep do you know where it starts from your faith in christ that will translate in your love for the saints that alone will provoke an honour favourable environment around you and then once that happens you are beginning to get deeper so the apostle said once this is fundamental foundational knowing having faith in God and loving the saints is fundamental and foundational once you have that we can move you on to the next level you are not serving anywhere you are not dedicated to the work of

[18:00] God and yet you want revelation some people they like to know the law their big thing is I know I know I know I know this I know about God will use you God doesn't want to prove anything to any man he's not trying to prove that I'm really God so you are steadiness to know so much so you can go and defend God he doesn't need you check your Bible when he revealed himself as Christ it's not to go and defend him it's just to go and preach preach Christ to people don't go and defend it hallelujah so it says that you are thinking you want to have deep not deep things you can't go deep if your heart is not sold out for the church can't you see the depths

[19:01] I'm flowing in and I try to draw your attention but some of you didn't realize that I'm so much in love with God and I would do anything for God that is why it has allowed me to move deeper into the things of God it's not an entitlement you are there I want to know it's not like an academic course or research program you want to know so you decide to start doing it no it won't take you anywhere you go that road is a cul-de-sac because it cannot be taught to you it cannot be given you God will reveal it and he reveals it based on the spirit that comes on you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him so as you begin to pursue God as you begin to pursue him work you are so dedicated these are the things people must hear about you that your pastor could say that all the workers everybody is doing well but we will give you an award yeah these are the things that determine your rating in heaven determine because he says that when he says well done that good and faithful servant your rating is determined by how faithful you are doing and once serving rates you high into knowing more seeing more do you know that there's a lot of information in this country is classified information about secret service information about the police operations but the prime minister once you're working around you will know a lot but if you will never know you will never know that there's police officer assigned to this potential terrorist he lives near your house but they won't tell you but they are tracing they are tracking monitoring him there's surveillance all over your neighborhood but you don't know you are too low for such information to be told it's only told people who are in certain levels high so if you want

[21:15] God to reveal some classified information to you which is called the mysteries the more mysteries you are going deeper you begin to find out more mysteries that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know you may know I'm praying that you will know that's his prayer topic when I heard of your faith and your love God will give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation the knowledge of him that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what is the riches of the glory of his power towards us who believe according to the working of his mighty power which he worked in

[22:21] Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him high above at his right hand in heavenly places far above principalities and powers it looks from one thing to the other it's getting deeper and deeper but the key thing is I pray for you that you may know back to verse 18 so he said I'm praying for you that ye may know what is the hope of his calling I don't want to focus on that but three things he said you may know one that you may know what is the prayer topic the main prayer topic is that you be given wisdom and knowledge a revelation of knowledge of him that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened that you know hope of his calling what the riches of his glory of his heritage is true and the third one the greatness exceeding greatness of his power what is the exceeding greatness of his power three things that you will know those you cannot be taught as you are being faithful in the things of

[23:26] God prayer God begins to bring you up invite you up come in come come in God say come in don't worry I'm happy what God is doing here because a lot of prayer is going on that's why I know your life can be the same again a powerfully prayerful atmosphere changes people and a powerfully deep teaching environment changes people you combine the two it's serious it's serious God is a good God and you will never be put to shame he will reward your faithfulness proverbs chapter 28 verse 20 wow wow hey hey hey hey it's a serious one that's what I'm trying to say some of you don't know a faithful man you are bound to be rich but those who are in a hurry to be rich will not go unpunished you will abound with blessings so sit down let me show you something don't be praying bless me bless me there are things you do that makes you entitled to blessings instead of praying for blessings be a faithful person faithful you are faithful to your church you are faithful to

[25:29] Christ some people say oh me I don't joke with Christ but we can find you faithful in the church it's a very cheap talk to say I love God can you contextualize it you love God how why is he to go and love him why is God to go and love him we are just to what pleases God please when you love God it's always manifest in your attitude and actions towards the church you love Christ if you are faithful to Christ it means you are faithful to church and you can't be faithful to churches how can you be faithful to women you are faithful to this one you are faithful to this one you are faithful to this one it doesn't work or you are actually faithful to none so you have to be faithful to

[26:48] Christ may you have a desire that when the list is being composed of people who are faithful you will be at the top a faithful man who are bound with blessings automatically you are faithful so it is will work for you a faithful man will abound with blessings so in order to be faithful that means that you will risk the opportunity of being pursuing money because you are either faithful or you are in a hurry to get rich the two can go together anyone who wants money quick cannot be faithful and anyone who is faithful will let some quick money making opportunity go man sit down you have to be faithful he who is to be rich will not grow unpunished

[28:10] I'm doing something for my mom my mom needs something done for her maybe she's traveling and then she asked me to make sure I just try and paint her house and when I finish I said mom you have to pay that's the bill pay for I came to fix your sink now even though my main job is not a plan the fact that I do for you in the house you have to pay for me pay me now I need the money and I'm just gathering money there that hasting to be rich will not go unpunished does it sound like first Timothy chapter 1 verse 9 that day that will be rich will fall into hurtful and foolish lusts first Timothy 6 9 which draws men into perdition hallelujah amen god bless you for listening to this message to hear more from David
