The Person Of Faith

[0:25] Habakkuk 2 verse 4, the just shall live by faith. Romans 1 verse 17, the just shall live by faith. Galatians 3 verse 11, the just shall live by faith.

[0:36] Hebrews 10 verse 38, the just. Four times, it's not because God is a stammer, but it's because it's an important message. The just shall live by faith. You want to remain as a just person, the only way you can do it is by faith.

[0:50] Abraham didn't receive righteousness from God because of the things he did, but he received because of his faith. And the Bible says that he became the father of us all who believe. So if you believe, the Bible says that those who believe, they are blessed with faithful Abraham or believing Abraham.

[1:06] Your believing changes your status. Your believing changes your... That's why in the Bible, you only find twice where they are called Christians, and even that's not God's description of them. But there are many places, over 200 places where they are called believers.

[1:19] Believers, believers, believe, believers. The entire book of John, which I was telling you about, the way he started. He started Christmas without a baby. Christmas without Mary. Christmas without Joseph.

[1:31] Christmas without Nativity. He started it, and you know how he ended? When he was ending in John chapter 20 verse 31, he said of verse 30, he says that all these things were written. He says there's so many things that cannot be written, but these things are written that you might believe.

[1:46] It's the same John who said, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only because that whosoever believes. I believe. So everything, everything, everything.

[1:59] Why must a preacher preach and finish preaching, and there's no belief in your heart? How? How? My job is not to convince you. My job is to open the text.

[2:13] And when you see the text, automatically you believe, because seeing is believing. What you see, you believe. What you believe, you will experience. Wow. Wow.

[2:25] You cannot see and not believe. Even Dr. Matthew was doubting. When he saw Jesus, he said, my Lord and my God. Yeah. He said, my Lord and my God.

[2:37] Because once you see it, you can't doubt what you see. Yeah. Yeah. How many of you saw me asking a lady to walk forward? Yeah. Can you doubt that a lady walked forward?

[2:47] You can't doubt. Someone will tell you, no, there are no ladies in the room. No, but you just saw ladies. Once you've seen it, no one can come. It is hard for you to convince you because you have seen it.

[2:58] Yeah. Yeah. So in the same way in scriptures, when you read the Bible, you should pray that God will open your inner eyes, that you will see. Yeah. When people are arguing about, oh, the Bible, and it's too late for me because I've seen what men haven't seen.

[3:14] Yeah. And the scriptures tell us that they just shall live by faith. Yeah. And some of us, what is bothering you is your faithlessness.

[3:27] Faithlessness. Faith. The Bible says that by faith, the elders obtained, in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 2. By faith, the elders. These people we are talking about in the Bible.

[3:39] We are talking about Samson. We are talking about Samuel. We are talking about Noah. We are talking about Abel. We are talking about Isaac. We are talking about Joseph. We are talking about Moses.

[3:51] We talk about Samson. We talk about Daniel. We talk about David. We talk about all these great men and women of faith. Shatrach, Meshach, Abednego. We talk about Deborah.

[4:01] We talk about these great men and women of faith. Sarah, Abraham. Abraham. Oh, come on. The Bible says that they all obtained a good report by faith. What makes you think you can receive good report from heaven without faith?

[4:18] You need faith. Without faith, you can't be saved. Without faith, you can't be saved. Without faith, you can't be saved.

[4:29] Without faith, you can't be saved. Without faith, you are on the highway of hell. You are saved not because you behaved well or you behaved right.

[4:45] You are saved because you believed right. God 316 says that. For God so loved the world that he gave us only because of whoever behaves. No.

[4:57] It's your believing that determines your salvation. Yeah. So what you believe matters. We are saved by faith.

[5:09] And then Paul told the Galatian church in Galatians chapter 3. He said, oh, foolish Galatians. Galatians chapter 3 verse 1. Who has bewitched you that you have started in the spirit.

[5:19] You are ended in the flesh. My God. He said, he who works miracles amongst you and does all these great things among you. Does he work it by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?

[5:32] You got saved because of your faith. It is Galatians. He said the just shall live by faith. So you are saved by faith and you have to live by faith.

[5:44] 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17. For we work by faith and not by sight. Are you a Christian or just a believer? You must be a believer.

[5:57] I believe. Then if you are a believer, tell us what you believe. What do you believe? Oh, Paul says something in Acts chapter 24 verse 14.

[6:08] Amazing statement. He said, I believe in all things. Read it for me. I believe all things taken by the prophets. Acts 24 verse 14.

[6:22] But this I confess to you. That according to the way which they call a sect. See, see, see, see, see. Let me tell you something. He said, according to the way they call a sect.

[6:33] He was brought before being tried. And he was speaking for himself. He said, I'm admitting that they are calling this my church life a sect, a cult.

[6:47] What they call a sect. He said, what they are calling sect. That's the way I'm worshipping God. Read it again. But this I confess to you. I confess it.

[6:58] That according to the way which they call a sect. So I worship the God of my fathers. What they are calling, that's how I'm worshipping the God of my fathers. This is Paul. People, it's easy for people to see a move of God and brand it.

[7:13] Put a negative spin on it. And all they are waiting for is to hear a negative story about one other church somewhere. And say, hi, I see all these people. You see all these people. Have you heard our message?

[7:24] Have you heard our message? Are you? You are blinded. You are taking a breath. Painting everybody with the same brush.

[7:34] I thought you were a bit intelligent. I thought you were a bit smart. I thought you were a bit rational. Why are you behaving so irrationally? Because rational should tell you that you can't judge a person without having seen him.

[7:45] Yes. You haven't heard that. Observe that. Do your own assessment before you run into conclusion. Finish it and let me stop. But this I confess to you.

[7:56] That's according to the way which they call a sect. So I worship the God of my fathers. Believing all things. Did you hear that? He said, this is the way I'm serving God.

[8:07] Believing all things. You can't serve without believing. Believing all things. What the prophets have said, I believe. What the Bible is saying, I believe.

[8:21] Don't allow anyone to tell you that the Bible is human beings who wrote it. But were you expecting angels to write it? Angels don't have a pen.

[8:33] They don't have paper. Paper and pen is human creation. But the message is not that man is not the source. All scripture is given by the inspiration of God.

[8:48] 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16. All scripture is given by the scripture. In 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 21 it says that holy men of God spoke when they were moved by God.

[8:59] So, don't allow people to attack your confidence in God's word.

[9:11] Some people believe more in men of God than the word of God. Wow. And this is our celebrity generation.

[9:23] If we are going to bring a music star, they will run to come and listen to him. For what? You won't read your Bible, but you want to listen to a great preacher. For what?

[9:35] There's nothing wrong with leading to a great preacher. But some people even actually the fact that he's famous, that's what your problem. You are attracted to fame.

[9:47] To status. Not to the Christ. Let me tell you in a nutshell what I'm trying to say. The just shall live by faith. For you to live by faith, you need to let the word of God expose yourself to the word of God.

[10:04] Expose yourself to the word of God because faith is not a decision. Faith is a reaction. Faith is not a decision. Faith is a reaction.

[10:17] Faith is not a decision. Faith is a reaction. What do I mean? You can't have faith without hearing God's word. When the word of God hits your system, your spirit will react.

[10:29] And that is where faith can be born. So faith is a resultant effect of a word from God hitting somebody's heart. Wow. So it's not a matter of the mind.

[10:42] It's a matter of the heart. So no one can say, okay, I decide to have faith. So sorry, please. If you want to have faith, expose yourself to the word of faith.

[10:53] According to Romans chapter 10 verse 7, 8. And I said, the word of faith which we preach. The word is a word of faith. It's a word of truth. It's a word of grace.

[11:04] It's a word of truth. According to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13. It's a word of truth. It's a word of grace. According to Acts chapter 20 verse 35. It's a word of grace. But it's actually the word of faith. Romans chapter 10.

[11:14] The word of faith which we preach. It's near you. In your mouth. The word of faith. And so faith comes. Romans chapter 10 verse 17. Faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing by the word of God.

[11:28] You are not hearing God's word. And you are trying to work by faith. It's a positive thinking thing you are doing. New age can produce the same effect. Yoga and all those things. It has positive thinking behind it.

[11:40] And it doesn't move you in the class of God. Faith moves you in the class of God. But you can't operate by faith without the word of God. So faith comes by hearing.

[11:51] Now, faith works by speaking. You have received faith. But if you don't speak. Your faith is not. Bible says that with the heart man believed. And with the mouth homologia is made of the constitution.

[12:03] So you have to speak the word of God. 2 Corinthians chapter 4.13. And since we have the same spirit of faith. According to what is written.

[12:15] I believe. I believe. And therefore I spoke. If you believe, we will know by your speaking. Are you a believer? If you want to know who is a believer. Just keep quiet. Listen to them speak. It's true.

[12:26] You will know whether they believe. Wow. Go ahead. We also believe and therefore speak. If you believe, you will speak. You will speak the word of God.

[12:41] So faith, if you want to be in faith. Mind what you say. Number two. If you, for number one. Let the word of God come in.

[12:51] Number two. Mind what you say. Number three. Mind your thoughts. You can't think anyhow. And speak right. Mind your thoughts.

[13:05] What you are thinking is influencing your life. Guard your mind. Be careful what comes in. Be careful. The gateway to your mind is your eyes and your ears.

[13:21] The things you think is entertainment is programming you. You are having fun. But they have inserted into it. Something that can program you away from God. But you haven't realized it.

[13:33] Because you are overshadowed with the fun. But as you are having fun. It's just like having something nice eating. But inside it, they put something also inside. Allergic to you. You are allergic to.

[13:44] So it's not me. It's not everything I watch. Never. And even when I want to watch news. I'm careful where I watch the news from. Yeah. No. Because whatever you report.

[13:58] It's always influenced in a certain way. By your convictions. And by your value system. Anyway, that's just off the. So mind your thoughts.

[14:09] So one. Check what you are hearing. Two. That's the word of God. Two. Check what you are saying. Mind your words. Three. Mind your thoughts.

[14:20] And four. Mind your actions. Can you imagine? Don't just say. God knows my heart. Hey. Please. Don't stop that. Stop. Stop that. Don't say. God knows my heart.

[14:31] He's watching your actions. Yes. He's watching your actions. In 1 Samuel chapter 2 verse 3. He said. God. By God. Actions are weighed. He'll weigh your action. Did you notice in the Bible.

[14:44] He says. He's going to reward us according to our works. Not according to our feelings. Not according to our. How many people have received an award. How many people have received certificate.

[14:55] Based on your intentions to pass. No. Please pass. And we will give you the. Don't say. I'm really meant to pass. But I was sick. And I couldn't. So. Okay.

[15:05] Don't worry. We can't tell. Your intentions are right. Excuse me. God will not reward you for your intentions. He will reward you for your actions. It's in the Bible. He said. I come. My reward is with me.

[15:15] Revelation chapter 22 verse 12. I come. I will give to everyone. According to their works. Not their thoughts. Not their intentions. So you want to walk by faith. In James chapter 2 verse 26.

[15:27] He said. Faith without works. Is dead. Yes. There's no work. How can you justify faith. That has not got works. Oh man. Believe.

[15:37] I believe. Please. It's enough. You have been telling us. Act it. You are preaching. Act it. The way you. You miss meetings. You miss services.

[15:48] Anything at all can take you out of service. You are not a person of faith. Galatians chapter 2 verse 20. He says that. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. Yet not I.

[15:59] By the life I live. I now live by faith. You can't live the Christian life without faith. I live by faith of the son of God. Who loved me and gave himself for me. Your actions matter.

[16:10] Girl. Your actions. Oh you know pastor. I didn't want to do that. But I keep doing it. When will you start doing what you claim you are? If you keep repeating the things you don't want to do. It's about time you check your association.

[16:23] And check your thoughts. Or anything in your mind. You end up behaving it. You are what you are thinking.

[16:35] Proverbs says. As a man thinks in his heart. So is he. People of faith. Expose yourself to God's word.

[16:49] People of faith. Mind what you are saying. People of faith. Mind your thoughts. People of faith. Give respect to your actions. That's the personal faith I'm talking about.
