Description

Believing in God alone is not complete when it comes to God doing anything for you on earth. When you believe the human agent who God is using, then the anointing comes to you. To benefit from a prophet you must believe in whom God has sent.

[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.

[0:15] Be blessed. 2 Chronicles 20-20 Believe in the Lord your God, so you shall be established. Believe in His prophets also, so you shall prosper.

[0:27] You see that? Believe in the Lord your God, so you shall be established. Believe also in His prophets. So who should you believe in? Believing in God alone is not complete.

[0:40] When it comes to God doing something for you on earth. Believe in God, but it's not Him alone you have to believe in.

[0:52] Believe in the Lord. So you shall, so you shall, believe in His prophets. So it's not only God.

[1:03] Believe God and believe what? It's God's prophets, not everybody. So you have to make sure that person you are believing is a genuine...

[1:14] That is why your understanding of scripture is important. Don't believe a person just because a person can do some things. The person can prophesy and see that your birthday is 1922.

[1:26] See, naturally, those things can conjure our... It can command our admiration.

[1:38] So it's easy to flow in that direction. Those things themselves alone are not a sign of God. But if God is there too, there will be signs.

[1:52] So now, how do you know which of the signs has genuine godliness behind it? The sure word of prophecy.

[2:04] Some people will tell you, no, it's not necessary. It's the character of the person. No, it's not the character of the person. Because somebody can be very good, very genuine, and very nice.

[2:14] And still is operating with wrong satanic influences. So niceness alone and good behavior alone is not solid enough.

[2:28] Soundness in the scriptures is fundamental. If you want to grow, if you want to grow, hallelujah. Prayer. Prayer every day.

[2:40] It's not for Sunday school children. It's for basic Christians. So, Jesus said in John chapter 14, verse 1, Let not your heart be troubled. What is this?

[2:51] This is a man. He was speaking in a capacity as a man. That's why he distinguished God. From him. Let's read it out loud.

[3:02] Do you see that? So, it's not only God you believe. God will also use human agents.

[3:13] And when you believe the human agents God is using, then the anointing comes to you. Mark 6, 4.

[3:27] Mark 6, 3. That was. It says that they marvel at it. They said, what kind of mighty wisdom has this man been given? Given to this man that such mighty deeds are done by his.

[3:40] It's not this capitan's son, Mary, the brother of Jesus. Our brothers and sisters and our sisters with us. Look at the next verse. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, his own kings and house.

[3:55] The next verse. And he could dare not do mighty miracles. See if he laid hands on a few sick foes and healed them. Look at the next verse. And he marveled at their what?

[4:07] Unbelief. They didn't believe in him. They didn't believe in him. So, he couldn't do much. There is something that you get when you believe in the man God has sent.

[4:20] He said, believe in his prophet, so you shall prosper. So, if you only want to believe. Believe in the Lord and you shall be established.

[4:32] Believe in, so you are established, but you will prosper. Because there is a dimension of the equation that will come through a man whom God has sent.

[4:43] How can they believe, except they hear? How can they hear, except someone tells them? How can they tell them, except they be sent? It is the sent one's message that God backs.

[4:57] So then, it's important to establish who God has sent. And who is working on the behalf of God. That one, most of the time, convictions. And when you are sound in the scriptures, and you are genuine about God.

[5:09] Jesus said, you people are not genuine for God. Because if you are genuine disciples of Moses, you would believe in me. Because Moses wrote about me. If you are Abraham's seed, and you are really genuine for God.

[5:21] The God Abraham followed. You will come to me. Because the God Abraham followed is always talking about me. But because you are not looking for God. But you have given a facade that is God.

[5:33] I have come. You want to kill me? You want to kill me? Because if your heart is for God. People God sent to. When the saints sends. When they come near you, or they speak to you.

[5:45] You feel, you know, you have the witness. You bear witness in yourself. You have a witness. Because your heart is open to God. And the thing is deep. And that is when it begins to produce change of life and results.

[5:59] So you want to benefit from a prophet. Number one. Believe in the prophet. When we talk about believing the prophet.

[6:10] Number two. It means receiving the person. Oh, I believe this one. But I mean. Receive. John chapter 1 verse 12. As many as received him.

[6:21] He gave them the right. So it means receive the person. But as many as received him. To hear me. Give them the right to become. So to believe in a prophet.

[6:32] Means to receive him. Jesus says that whoever receives you. Have received me. So it means that. The person is coming. To minister to you. Or is coming to preach to you. You open your heart.

[6:43] And you ask. I receive you. You know. There's a way you can look at a person. But you haven't received the person. You haven't received. Oh yeah. Hello. But you haven't received the person. For a prophet to be.

[6:54] To benefit you. You have to receive the prophet. For a carrier of anointing. To be a blessing to you. You have to receive the person. As a carrier of anointing.

[7:06] It's very important. Wow. Is that one learning something? And then. So receive the person.

[7:18] Let me add one to. And then quickly. You do not necessarily. Have to understand him. I will explain it. When I say understanding. I'm not saying that.

[7:29] He's saying something. He can't explain it. I don't agree with him. I don't understand why. Sometimes he does it like that. So. You know. When pastor is preaching. Sometimes he'll go and say something.

[7:40] And something. And something. Sometimes he'll say. Oh my God. He didn't have to say. And sometimes he'll understand. Everything. His style. And you know. Do you have to understand. How mobile phones work. Before you use mobile phones.

[7:54] Do you have to understand. How engine. Car engine. Works. Before you drive. Do you understand. Are you getting what I'm saying.

[8:04] Yeah. I have to. I have to. Believe. Just. You believe that. The grace of God. The anointing of God. Is on this person. You understand. So it has begun.

[8:16] Giving you intellectual issues. So. Everything. Must be filtered. Through your intellect. But not through your spiritual.

[8:27] Insights in God's word. Everything. Everything. I need to understand. I need to understand. I need to understand. When people are catching. You are trying to understand. And by the time. You don't even finish.

[8:38] Understand. Because a lot of things. About God. And a lot of things. About. A man God uses. As long as it's not evil. As long as it's not. Illegal. It's not illegal.

[8:49] As long as. It is not against humanity. As long as it's not unscriptural. Leave that. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. To you.

[9:03] The mysteries of the kingdom is given. They do understand. So. Outside us may not understand us. But we know exactly. What we are doing. And usually.

[9:13] They can say. Oh. These people are. Yeah. Obviously. They said that. Paul. In Acts chapter 24. Verse 14. But this. I confess to you. That according to the way.

[9:24] The way. That's Christianity. Which they. Which they call. A sect. So. Worship I. The God. Of my fathers. Believe in all things.

[9:34] Which were written. In the law. And the prophets. And so. My behavior. Can be traceable. To the written document. Of God. They may have problems. With it. But it is.

[9:45] Betraceable. And endorseable. By the law. And the prophets. No apostle. Ever preached. Without making references. To the scripture. Read the Bible.

[9:55] And see. Everything. Jesus was always making reference. To the scriptures. They are always. Well. Finally. To make.

[10:07] To believe in a prophet. Means. Obey him. Obey him. Obey him.

[10:19] Simply. Shall we all lift our hands? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And yet you are believing. That anointing on the man. Will work for you. Do you understand what I'm saying? Unless there's a problem.

[10:29] With your hand. That's a different thing. But when you can. I don't. I don't. I'm not interested. I'm not interested. Shall we all. Pray. I want us to pray. And believe.

[10:46] I just need my testimony. Just do it for me. Are you getting what I'm saying? So. If the devil wants to attack. Your miracle.

[10:57] He will attack. Your ability. To believe in the prophet. Yes. His. His hot spot. Achilles heel.

[11:09] Because. Your believing in God. Is more stable. What may. Help.

[11:19] And facilitate. Is. Is your believing. In the one God has sent. And Satan will. Fight it. And he will expose you. To a lot of. Negative news.

[11:30] And negative information. About people. Like the one. You are trying to believe in. Are you getting what I'm saying? That's why. It is always.

[11:42] Easy for. People to. Attack. Pastors. They even attack. Pastors. More than churches. Yeah. Look.

[11:52] What is. The use of a church. Whose pastor has not. Has lost. Credibility. Respect. It. So if you can. Jesus himself said.

[12:03] Strike the shepherd. The sheep. Automatically scatter. Ephesians chapter 3. It says that. If you have. Verse 2. If you have heard about. The dispensation of the Lord. The God. The dispensation of the Lord.

[12:14] Given to me. For you. It's always. Passes through somebody. Before it gets to you. It comes from God. But it's given to somebody. To be given to you.

[12:24] If you are blocked. From accessing. The person accessing you. That's the problem. Can you imagine. Jesus himself. Made somebody blind. He came.

[12:35] Slapped him. By the sun. By the. Sorry. Not the sun. The light of his. His glory. Blinded soul. He fell from his heart. Then his horse. Then Jesus started talking to him. Why are you persecuting the church?

[12:46] He said. Who are you? How can I persecut you? He said. You are persecuting the church. You are persecuting me. He said. Please. What do you want me to do? He said. Go. They will tell you what to do. He went to Damascus. And then God. Jesus comes to. Ananias.

[12:57] He said. Go. There is somebody I have made blind. Go and pray for him. That he might receive his sight. And be filled with the Holy Spirit.

[13:08] Acts chapter 9. Verse 15 and 16. It's in your Bible. So Ananias came. He said. The Lord who appeared to you. On your way. Come in. He said. He went straight. And he tells us. He says.

[13:19] Ananias. Verse 17. Ananias went. He says. But that's all. The Lord Jesus. Who appeared to you. On your. On the road. As you came here. Has sent me.

[13:29] Jesus came to me. But why. The things I'm coming to tell you. Why didn't he tell you? And second. He made you blind. It's not me. Why did he ask me to come and pray for you.

[13:39] That you. It's in your Bible. Has sent me. That you may receive your sight. And be filled with the Holy Spirit. He should have done all for you at once. God comes to a man.

[13:54] Come please. So. God wants to bless you. He doesn't come to you. He comes to a man. And. When he wanted to deliver people from Israel.

[14:06] Egypt. He went for Moses. And when Moses. He met Moses. He said. I've heard the cry of my people. So. Therefore. I've come. I've come. To send you. To deliver them. I've come down to deliver them.

[14:18] I'm going to send you. I've heard their cry. Moses. It's not you. You are not crying. But they are crying over there. You are not even with them. You have. You have left the place. They are suffering. You are not suffering with them.

[14:28] But I've heard their cry. Therefore. I have come to you. To come. Yeah. Yeah. He says it. And the Lord said to me. I have surely seen the oppression of my people. And Egypt. And I've heard their cry. Because of the task.

[14:39] For I know their sorrow. And that's why I've appeared to you. So I have come down. To deliver them out. To the hands of. And I'm going to send you. When you read it. I'm sending you. So God. By God.

[14:50] Go yourself. Go so tell. With one wind. They'll be. Okay. By sack. I can't work like that. I don't work like that.

[15:02] I don't work like that. They believe in me. But they must also believe in the one I'm sending. So God wants to bless you. He comes to this one. And. Watches.

[15:13] So this man is praying for this book. Pray for the book. He's praying for the book. And it's with God. God is coming to. God wants. God has decided to answer your prayer. So he comes to this one.

[15:24] And gives. Your book to him. Now. If you don't receive this man. So. This man is coming. Stretch your hand. And look towards this man. If the thing is behind. But you don't know your miracle has been given.

[15:35] And he said that the spirit of the Lord is upon me. For he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. So he's coming to you. Because God has sent him to you. Second. I'm sorry.

[15:46] Acts chapter 26. I quoted. Yes. In verse 18. He said. I will deliver you from the people I am sending you to. Verse 17 and 18. I'm sending you to some people. But I will deliver you. Because they will attack you.

[15:57] I will deliver you. And verse 18 says that. I'm sending you to open their eyes. In. In. In order to turn them from. They are blind. But I want to help them. And you are the one I'm going to use.

[16:08] To do it for them. God. Please. I can't go. Go yourself. He said no. And you look for somebody else. Because. Your feet will become the feet of God. Your hands will become the feet of.

[16:19] The hands of God. Your mouth will become the mouth of God. Because God uses people. And so. If you. You don't receive the one God is sending. You will stay like that. And nothing changes.

[16:30] So it's your testimony. It's your miracle. You are believing God for. But you prayed for it. And he has come to give it to this one. Like the way. When those who are.

[16:40] Do they still do benefits? People collect money. Because I know. You know. Things change very. Where do you collect? Is it post office? Or job center?

[16:53] But why doesn't the government itself. Go to. What's it called? The streets. No. Not down the streets. Whitehall.

[17:04] Why don't you go to Whitehall? No. They will give it to. Some people. To get it to you. It looks like it's kind of similar. But it's even deeper. Not similar.

[17:15] Because this one is. A prophet. Of God. Not by themselves. Of God. Paul said. In Ephesians chapter 3. Verse 9. 2. He says that.

[17:26] It has been given to me. For you. It's always. When it comes to prophets. When it comes to anointed people. It is given to them. Their grace is given. To me.

[17:36] This thing has been given. To me. For you. Or to give to you. So. But. I hope you are getting there. The spirit of the Lord. Is upon me.

[17:46] Because he anointed me. To preach the gospel. To the poor. To heal the broken. My heart is not broken. So why has he brought. Things that heal. Broken hearted to me. So that I can give it to them.

[17:58] So you need. You need. Your broken hearted healed. By whom bring it to you. Wow. He gives it to an anointed. An anointed person.

[18:08] That's what anointing is. Anointing is. Something of God. Comes on you. And it is coming on you. For those who need it. Now the problem is.

[18:19] When those who need it. Don't believe in you. When those who need it. Don't receive you. When those who need it. Jesus says that. If you do. If you love me. You do. Obey my commandments. John chapter 14.

[18:32] Verse 21 to 25. It's. When you obey. The commandments. Of a prophet. That means you have. You have received. And you believe in the prophets. He told them. In John chapter 2.

[18:43] Verse 5. What. Whatever he tells. Mary said. To the people. When they. Before they turn. The water into wine. Whatever he tells you. Just do it. Other than that. It don't. The testimony.

[18:53] It won't happen. Wow. I'm just showing you. What is that. Believe in your prophet. What it means. Believe in his prophet. In Hosea chapter. Thank you. Hosea chapter 3. Verse. Chapter 12.

[19:03] Verse 13. He said. By a prophet. God brought Israel from Egypt. By a prophet. Now. How can. Ordinary people understand this. And.

[19:14] In. In. Extreme situation. Cardinal people. Will now want to use this. And say. This is. They are using this to control you. You are using natural wisdom.

[19:26] Human mindset. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. To. Awfully wrong. You'll be awfully wrong. The scripture is true.

[19:37] And when you receive it as it is. Then the testimonies begin to show. And everybody sees that actually God is true. It's your godly resource that will silence oppose us.
