Jubilee - The Working Of Grace
[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.
[0:13] Be blessed. Today I want to talk about Jubilee, the workings of grace. Jubilee. The Dronomy chapter 25 from verse 1, And the Lord speak unto Moses in Mount Sinai, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the Lord.
[0:42] Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruits thereof. But in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest unto the land, a Sabbath for the Lord.
[1:00] Thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. That which groweth of its own according to thy harvest, thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thine vine undressed, for it is a year of rest unto the Lord.
[1:19] And the Sabbath of the land shall be meat for you, for thee and for thy servants and for thy maids, and for thy hired servants, and for thy stranger that sojourns with thee.
[1:39] Verse 7. And for thy cattle and for thy beasts that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
[1:50] Verse 8. And thou shalt remember, thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee.
[2:02] Seven times seven years. And the space of the seventh Sabbaths of years shall be unto thee. Forty and nine years.
[2:14] Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month.
[2:26] In the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all the land. Verse 10. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land.
[2:43] Unto all the inhabitants thereof, it shall be a jubilee unto you, and you shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
[2:59] Unto his family. Verse 11. A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you.
[3:11] Ye shall not sow, neither reap that which goeth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
[3:25] For it is the jubilee. It shall be holy unto you. You shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. In the year of this jubilee, ye shall return every man unto his possession.
[3:42] And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbor, or buy it ought of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall not oppress one another.
[3:53] Verse 15. According to the number of years after the jubilee, thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, and according unto the number of years of the fruit, he shall sell unto thee.
[4:07] Amen. Numbers chapter 36 verse 4. Quickly, I want to read these scriptures, and then we move.
[4:18] Numbers chapter 36 verse number 4. Search. And when the jubilee of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put into the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received.
[4:42] So shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of thy fathers. Then Ezekiel chapter 46 verse 17.
[4:57] Ezekiel chapter 46. Thank you, Jesus. Verse 17. But if he give, Ezekiel 46 verse 17.
[5:12] But if he give, he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be to his, then it shall be his to the year of liberty.
[5:25] That's jubilee, of liberty. After it shall, after it shall return to the prince, but his inheritance shall be his sons for them.
[5:38] So you can see that when the year of jubilee comes, one of the significant things that must happen is return of possession that people have lost, that belongs to them by inheritance.
[5:53] So, like family lands, you know, must be retained. And it's not only that, I need you to also see, let's go back to Leviticus chapter 25.
[6:09] That's the main place I wanted to stay. But verse 39. Look at this. And if thy brother that dwells by thee be waxing poor and be sold unto thee, thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bond servant.
[6:30] In those days, when you are poor, so poor, or you are owing and you can't pay, you can give your children, or the creditor will take your children as collateral, and it's legitimate, it's legal.
[6:46] That's what happened, you know, in the days of Elijah, when the holy man's wife cried out and said that, my children are coming to be taken away, two sons.
[6:58] So, can you do something about it? So, those days, oh, you can actually lie the way when you are so hard up, you need money desperately, you can send your jewelry to the pawnbrokers.
[7:12] You know, you can trade it in for some money. Yeah. So, those days, you can trade your life. So, you can sell yourself to the, while you are owing, or that rich person that can buy me, I belong to you, I will save you, and then you can add your children, whatever, we belong to you, and then get the money to pay the other person you are owing.
[7:30] So, you have sold yourself. But, he's saying that if anyone, through poverty, sells himself to you, those days, you are not, he's a Jew, you are not supposed to keep him forever. On the year of Jubilee, he's supposed to be set free as a slave.
[7:45] So, two things that mainly happened in the year of Jubilee, is number one, possessions were returned, and people were returned to their liberty, were given their liberty. This is very important.
[7:56] Okay. So, in the year of liberty, or year of Jubilee, which is the 50th year, that year of Jubilee, anybody whose land you have bought, seized, rightfully, or possessed, it belonged to a certain family.
[8:13] And when they went into the promised land, every family, every tribe was given a land. So, every tribe have their own land. Now, if you buy the land, or you take the land from somebody, or from their family, 50th year, you must return it to them.
[8:29] It doesn't belong to you. So, 50th year is like, everybody comes to a grace period, where you can start again, and have your life back. I believe that this month, is setting this year, ahead of you, for you to have your life back.
[8:45] If you remember, during the fasting, we actually dealt with a lot of things. And last Sunday, it's interesting, the Archbishop also spoke about dealing with demons.
[8:56] In our fasting, we normally don't focus a lot on demons and stuff like that. But this fasting, we dealt with a lot of household wickedness. And Reverend Eastwood also even came, and went in the same direction, because demons are real, and Satan is real.
[9:13] Satan can possess things, can take over things. Now, some of us may be suffering some ailment, or some predicament, which is not based on what we did wrong, but it's because of the family we are born into.
[9:32] So, sometimes you are, you go to the hospital, or when you are registering with a GP, they also always want to know your family tree, and the sickness that is common in your family.
[9:43] Why? It's not, it's just that that's the family we've been born in. Right? And I remember I went to the opticians, and then, I think, optician, one of them.
[9:57] Afterwards, they referred me to my GP, because they saw something in my eye, which they were not sure about, so that, thank God for NHS, or our healthcare system tries to intervene very early, before things get, because, they had to do that, because my father had a particular eye problem.
[10:17] But then, on three occasions, I've been referred to a specialist in the main hospital, and I went, they did examinations, they said, there's nothing wrong. But the way the eyeball is on the inside, and the family history, it's all, everybody who checks it may be alarmed, and say, no, maybe it's because of the family history.
[10:36] Because of, if I had not had that family history, there wouldn't have been the need for me to go. But because of the family history, and what they saw, which was normal with me, but they, it was making them think, that there may be this sickness, eye problem repeating itself.
[10:53] Do you understand what I'm trying to say? So, family history. Now, some of us have been born into a family, and have inherited certain negative traits, that are not in your interest, in your advantage.
[11:04] This is what this month must mean for you. That thing that has been passed down to you, oh, I am happy to let you know, that you are in a new family.
[11:23] It's the royal family. It's called, in Ephesians chapter 2, verse 19, it's called, the household of God. It's called, the household, you are part of God's household.
[11:39] I think when you read, the New Living Translation, it uses, I think, God's family. God's holy family, members of God's family. Did you see that? You are members of God's family. God's household, simply put, that's what it means.
[11:52] You are part of God's family. All right? So, back to King James, or New King James, it talks about, we are in the household of God. In Galatians chapter 6, verse 10, it talks about, the household of God.
[12:07] Especially, unto those who are, of the household of faith. It's a household. It's a family. So, when you become born again, you have been brought, into a new family.
[12:19] And guess what? You have to know, the family you belong to, or you belong in, to begin to take advantage, of the blessed, inheritance, in the family.
[12:33] Today, I'm not quite sure. I'm thinking, I should just focus more, on the noise, the normal issues, associated issues, or go to, new creation realities.
[12:44] New creation realities, it's more about, how Christ fits, into all this, Jubilee thing. I'll try, and work out the two, so that we can get both. Is that a good idea?
[12:55] Is it a good idea? It is a good idea. So, they used to sell themselves. Let me finish the text, verse 40, of Leviticus chapter 25. But, as, okay, but you can take him, not as a bon servant, but as a high servant, and, as sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee, unto the, unto the year of Jubilee.
[13:21] And then, shall he depart from thee, both he, and his family, with him, and shall return, unto his own family. Oh, this sounds like us, in Christ.
[13:32] Us, in Christ, are meant to return, to our own, family of God. Tell somebody, I am in the, I'm part of God's household. I am part of God's household.
[13:44] Tell somebody, I belong to God's family. I belong to God's family. Yeah. We all belong to God's family, those of us who are in Christ. If you are not in Christ, you don't belong to God's family.
[13:57] Ah, but I thought, all human beings, are one family, in the sense of creation. We are all God's creation, so you can say, we all came from God, so that God is, kind of, the creator, the father, in that sense.
[14:12] But when we are talking about daddy, God can be the father, but he's not daddy. There are two different things. Okay. But, for God to be a daddy, he must born you.
[14:26] He must give birth to you. You must have his DNA, for him to be your daddy. And the DNA of God, comes into you, when Christ comes into you.
[14:39] I'll talk about that in a minute. I'll go further into that. But, so, now, so, on the day of Jubilee, or in the year of Jubilee, two things that must happen, or two major things that must happen, lands and possessions, must be returned, or restored to original owners.
[14:58] And then, number two, what must happen? I can't hear you. Liberty. People must be given their liberty, from slavery, or from serving, a certain person, to back there, now they belong back to their, own family.
[15:13] That's good news. Let me go into new creation, then I'll come into, because the Bible says, that God has given us, all things, first Peter chapter, no, second Peter chapter, one verse three.
[15:27] According to us, his power has given us, all things that pertain, to life, and godliness. So, he has given us, things that pertain to life, and godliness. All right, it's all together.
[15:39] But, you can, you can, say, I'm a Christian, and that's it. When I die, I'll go to heaven. But now, you are not dead. So, how do you live on earth? Your life on earth, must be meaningful.
[15:55] Life, you see, when you become born again, God gives you back, a certain level of control. God created man, and gave him control, and dominion.
[16:05] Now, watch this. I found out, in my studies, that God's, God's desire, and design, has always been, to have, for, for, for, for, God, when he created man.
[16:22] So, his desire, has always been that, he, will become, our portion. So, when he created man, Bible says, Genesis chapter 2, verse 9, he himself, made, a garden, created a garden, and out of the, out of the ground, the Lord, sorry, out of the ground, the Lord God made that, verse 8 talks about, verse 8 talks about, the garden, but verse 9, verse 9, let's go to verse 9.
[16:46] God, the Lord God made, to grow, every tree, that is pleasant, to the sight, and good for food. So, God made, in the garden, he made, every tree grow, that was pleasant, to the sight.
[17:02] What you see, he said, oh, you know, sometimes you need, to see something, to get your attention, for you to go towards it. Yeah, it's necessary. That is why, in our days, have you noticed that, packaging, is more important, than what you are actually buying.
[17:18] But, it's part of our generation. You go to a restaurant, especially desserts, and sometimes, when the food is coming, the chocolate, was I supposed to eat it, or it was just, to, it's not, but packaging, it's just, to whet your appetite, it's to make it, appealing to you, to, it's to, it's to, it's to just, appeal, or to make an appeal, to your cravings.
[17:47] And so, God, made the trees, that were good for food, and pleasant to the, when you see, mmm, yummy, yummy, yum, this didn't have to eat it. You know, sometimes you have been fooled, but you see something, you feel like, mmm, I still like this one.
[18:03] So, now watch this. God made those trees, and, the tree of life, also, in the midst of the garden. Now, the tree of life, was not an ordinary tree, to feed the flesh.
[18:16] It, it was, a tree, that, represented, the nature of God. So, God, so to speak, packaged himself, say packaging.
[18:29] Because, he's created us to eat. The best way, to get our attention, get himself into us, willingly, without him forcing himself, but we're going for him, is to package himself, like, food, tree.
[18:42] So that, when you go to God, when you are eating, you know what, when you go to the supermarkets, every now and then, they change where, the items are. So that, what you are not going to buy, you will see, just in case you'll be interested in, so they've put something somewhere, so that, you can also see, other things that you want to buy, and you didn't intend to buy.
[19:02] So, God, God also, packaged, watch this, God, packaged himself, as a tree, because initially, he created us, to eat, and to feed.
[19:14] So he, he packaged himself, as a tree, and when he made all these trees, that are nice to grow, he also packaged himself, as a tree, and stayed in the garden, so that, man can eat him, and live forever.
[19:29] But once man eats him, then man, has received the DNA of God, the actual life of God. He has the breath of God, that gave him living, but he needs the life of God, to have life.
[19:44] But, and then, Bible says that, there was another option, of a certain tree, which was a tree, of the knowledge, of good, not only evil, knowledge, of good, and evil, that depicted, the nature, of the enemy.
[20:00] And God, verse 16, of chapter 2, God comes to man, and he says that, of every tree, ah, can you imagine?
[20:13] Of every tree, including the one, I've made myself, I've made to represent my nature, of every tree. He said, of every tree.
[20:27] Did you see that? Watch this. Let's all read it together. Let's read it. Let's go. You are not reading. You are just laughing. Let's read. Let's go. And the thought of mother, the last saying, of every tree of God, are his three.
[20:44] What a breakthrough. Every tree, just eat. Just eat. Every tree. And he just said, okay, but let me just give a prohibition.
[20:55] So that, that's why we can't raise children, without giving them restriction. It teaches them self-control. For life, you can't get everything you want in life, always.
[21:08] So whoever raised you, and didn't teach you, and didn't give you boundaries, has actually harmed you. Boundaries.
[21:21] You will go for somebody's wife, if you don't know, how to stay within your boundaries. You will change figures at work, and steal money, if you don't know, how to stay within your boundaries.
[21:37] Life is full of boundaries. Children must be trained, and raised to respect boundaries. That nonsense, Johnny, no, no, and then you are clapping, no, no, no, that's the devil's nature at play.
[21:52] No, no, no, no, no, no, sit down. No, no, no. By the grace of God, I didn't witness that much with my children.
[22:03] Some children, it's their home. No. You, the parents, are behind it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no.
[22:16] Now, police said, don't spit. No. Don't do it. No. Now you're in prison. Now your mother has to bail you. She should have bailed you from when you were a child. And put restrictions on you.
[22:29] Make you go to bed when you have to go to bed. Take the iPad and iPhone away from you. It doesn't matter. You're screaming when you don't have to be watching iPad. Let that child scream his lungs out.
[22:44] He'll be okay. He'll fall asleep. When he wakes up, he'll be fine with it. He'll be okay. Boundaries. Someone shout boundaries.
[22:57] You know, your biggest problem is how you can't stay with it. Boundaries. It's a big problem for you. That's why you keep eating and eating and you are, you are blowing yourself like a balloon.
[23:14] You just, anything you want, you want to go for. Now you are in debt. Because you can't stay within your boundaries. You are in debt. Meanwhile, when you were not working, and you were doing some basic job, you were fine.
[23:28] Now that you are earning so much, look at you. Every shoe you must get. Every car you must get. Everything you must get. Ah, I'm talking to somebody.
[23:38] 16, 16, 16. So, God puts some restrictions in place, and he says that, some boundaries, and he says that, you are free to eat.
[23:49] So, you see, God is not an irresponsible God. He's not a God who, his focus is just to make us suffer. He's a God whose focus is just to make us enjoy. But he can't say, just enjoy anyway.
[24:01] So, you just have to put in the system that can protect us. Because there's a real devil out there. Do you understand that? So, he has to show you how to escape from the devil.
[24:12] But his plan is not to make you suffer. You can't do this. You can't do this. You can't do this. God never came to them with 10 commandments first. He came to them with deliverance. After he had delivered them, and he was taken to them to the promised land, then he gave them how they should handle themselves when they come into this land of freedom.
[24:30] Because absolute, there's nothing like absolute freedom. Absolute freedom can destroy you. You can't be free to do anything, go anywhere and everywhere. Do you think you are free to go to Buckingham Palace?
[24:42] No. You can't go there. You can't even, because of the kind of car you have, you can't drive into some places. You are not free. Even coming to church, you know, where we are, you have to park somewhere and walk.
[24:59] Well, restrictions. So, wow, I've not even gone any far in my message. So, God placed restrictions. He said, you can't eat everything, but the 17.
[25:11] He said, but of the tree of the night, you just shall know it from the day, you shall die. So, now, the reason why I brought us here is that God created this garden, how the world created the garden, made trees grow, so that man would light the trees.
[25:25] And then now, when man was beginning to light tree, he also made himself like a tree, so that man can eat him, and he can enter into man. But I told him that the enemy's nature also have appeared here like a tree.
[25:37] So, there are three types of tree. The normal one for natural nourishment, the other one for God to check into us, and the other one for the devil to check into us. So, there are three types of trees.
[25:51] One is just natural, the other one is supernatural, and the other one is devilish. And God wanted us to eat, but we didn't eat. So, he wanted to be our portion. That's all I've been trying to say.
[26:03] God created us, so he'll be our portion. So, in Genesis chapter 13, verse 14, sorry, verse 12, yeah, Genesis chapter 13, verse 12, Bible talks about how Abraham dwelt in the land of Cana, and pitched his tent there.
[26:21] What's the verse 13? I think it's rather, yeah, all right, it's Genesis chapter 14, I'm sorry, from verse 12. Genesis chapter 14. And, they took Lord Abraham's son, and dwelt in Sodom, and, and, and his goods, and departed.
[26:39] Yeah, the next verse. Okay, I'm sorry, it's chapter 13, please forgive me, it's chapter 13, verse 14, let's just go to 13, 14, hit it. And the Lord said to Abraham, after Lord has left, lift up your eyes, lift up your eyes, can you imagine?
[26:55] The Lord said to Abraham, after Lord had separated from him, lift, lift up now, thine eyes, and look from the place where you are at, towards, and then God told him, towards the east, towards the north, south, east, and west, the next verse, look at this, for all the land that does here, today I will give you.
[27:14] Do you know what that means? God was trying to tell Abraham that, I want to be your possession. So now that Lord said, just a little, anywhere you see I, I'm going to be part of it, for you, I will give it to you.
[27:26] So God created us for, so he will become our possession. Does that make sense? God wants to be our possession. Psalm 16, verse 5, look at Psalm 16, I think we should all read it together.
[27:39] Let's go. The Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, did you see that? The Lord is what? My portion, and my inheritance.
[27:52] God wants to be our inheritance. Psalm 90, verse 1. Excuse me. Let's all read it out from the screen, please. Lord, God has been our dwelling place, and God has been our dwelling place.
[28:04] So you see, God created us to be his dwelling place. Oh, sorry. He wants to dwell in us, but we, he wants to be our dwelling place. So our portion, the Lord is, what I'm saying is so important, if you understand it, it will change a lot of things about your life.
[28:21] Because, you see, when you know God is your portion, you take the stand for God, in spite of what others are doing. Because your breakthrough is God. It's not who is with you, who is not with you, the car you have, the house you have.
[28:37] Your breakthrough is actually God. Satan would like to move you away from God. God. And, he would like to take you from your inheritance, and make you a slave.
[28:51] That's, so, God gave us himself, to be our possession. And Satan came, and diverted man's focus, and he said, you know, eat this tree.
[29:03] Eat this tree. And he started by saying, has God really said, you shall not eat of every tree? That's a liar. The devil said, he said, and he said to the woman, has God, has God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[29:20] Do you remember what we read earlier? God said, of every tree you shall eat. God never said, you shall not eat of every tree. Never. That's serious distortion of scripture.
[29:34] But he has distorted it, in such a way, that you may not realize it. God didn't say you shall not eat. In fact, what God rather said is, of every tree of the garden, you are free to eat.
[29:45] Satan said, has God really said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden? God never said that. So, why are you even saying God said that? He should have said, did God say, you shouldn't eat of that tree?
[29:57] God said, don't eat of that tree. By his instruction, he's first. Before he said don't, he said do. Do. Two important words in the Bible. It's a word made of two letters.
[30:10] Do. It's a very important word in the Bible. Do. Do. Do. Or, it's variations. Doing. Done. Did. It's very important. Do. But God, when he commanded, he said that, eat of every tree, freely.
[30:23] Satan came. He said, has he said you shouldn't eat of every tree? No, he said we should, Eve should have said, no, sorry, he said we should eat of every tree. Then, it also followed his diversion.
[30:36] He said from, and then the woman said to him, we may eat of the fruit of the tree, of the trees of the garden. We may. But of the tree of the knowledge of God, of the tree that is the midst of the garden, God has said, ye shall not eat it.
[30:52] Watch this. Neither shall ye touch it. God didn't have touch. God didn't say he shouldn't touch it. You see, human beings, religious people, we will always add a little bit to the instructions.
[31:08] They said, it's good to fast. Somebody is not fasting. You are telling the person, if you don't fast, your life will never be together. Please, where does it say in the Bible? Where does it say in the Bible? You have added something to it.
[31:21] If you don't pay your tithe, you will lose money in your life. You will be poor. Oh, come on. You never say. People are earning, earning, earning not more without paying tithe. Why, pastor, why are you adding that?
[31:33] The Bible didn't say that. You are behaving like Eve. No. No. So, so, has, as the Eve said, no, he said we shouldn't eat it.
[31:44] Neither shall we touch it. Both of them were having a problem with that. But, God, because he wanted to protect us from Satan's control, he said, don't go Satan's way.
[31:57] You know, so, when the scripture said don't fornicate, it's not that he doesn't want you to enjoy your life. Because, God's instruction is rather to enjoy. Because the tree was good for food. So, he said enjoy the trees.
[32:08] So, he created us to enjoy. But, enjoyment without restriction can become a trap. You can mess up everything. How many of you know what I'm talking about?
[32:18] You used to have a very beautiful relationship. Until. Alright. So, he said you may feel it. Why? Because he wants us to, he wanted, God himself wants to be an inheritance.
[32:35] And, guess what? The, the, the, the devil, deceived man to eat. And so, man, watch this, entered into slavery.
[32:50] Remember, we are talking about jewelry. Because we, you, should I show you this in the Bible? Yeah. We became slaves. Slaves to sin.
[33:00] Let's look at Romans. Romans 7, 14. And read Romans 7, 14. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Romans 7, verse 14.
[33:15] For, we, we, we know that the law is spiritual. But, I am carnal, what? Soul of the sin. Let's not read it, the last bit.
[33:26] But, I am carnal, soul of the sin. Oh, can we read it out loud, please? But I am carnal, soul of the sin. One more time, louder. But I am carnal, soul of the sin.
[33:38] This is a very interesting, I'm sold? When, when was I sold? And, who is my master now? Sin. So, when Adam disobeyed God, or the earth, sin, Satan, and the world became our bosses.
[33:55] We became slave to sin, Satan, and the world. John chapter 7, verse 34. Look at John 7, 34. Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me, and where I am, ye cannot come.
[34:13] Sorry, John chapter 8. Please forgive me. John chapter 8, verse 34. I'm sorry. John 8, 34. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, whoever, oh, oh, oh, how does the new King James put it, oh, oh, that's it, the servant, slave.
[34:41] Some of you know, you were slaves to sin. And, there are people sitting here, or people listening to me, who are, you know you are a slave to sin. You can't control it.
[34:52] It's controlling you. Something has taken over your life. It's not like you want to do it, but you can't say you won't do it. See, see, I'll come back up for the third time I've said that.
[35:10] See, when we say jubilee, when we say jubilee, you should be thinking about this type of jubilee before financial jubilee. Yes. Because you can have a lot of money, or you can have a beautiful wife, or a very nice husband, and because you are not in control, and you are a slave under something, that thing you are a slave under can ruin that beautiful thing you have got.
[35:38] Well, let's go back to what I'm talking about. So, you can have all the good money you are designed, my liberty to marry, my liberty, and your habit of this thing that's controlling you, this anger, burst of anger, burst of rage, that every now and then comes.
[36:00] It has fought every good job you've got, you had in the past. It has fought most of your, even your female friends couldn't take you, because it is your anger. You spoil everything, and then later I say, I don't know, I don't know.
[36:11] But by the time you say, I don't know, you have fought what you know. So, habits, some of us, something, a sinful habit is ruining your life.
[36:30] And when we talk about jubilee, that's what your heart should go out for first. That I need to be set free from this slavery. Yeah. This slavery of alcoholism, of smoke, addiction to smoking, is killing me.
[36:45] My lungs are tired. But it looks like I don't have what it takes to say no. The devil is a liar. He who the son says, is free, is free.
[36:56] Uh-oh. I'm going somewhere. We come to say, I am free. I am free. I got my... And you go back to pornography. No. You are not free. I know you don't want to do it.
[37:08] But you are not free. Yes. You are not free. Mm. And God sent me to, to announce the year of jubilee.
[37:20] Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let me go ahead of myself and let you know that jubilee is announced.
[37:31] It's proclaimed. The acceptable year of the Lord. It says, to proclaim the acceptable. In fact, the word jubilee, the word jubilee, it stems out, the original word, it's believed that it means, R-A-M, ram.
[37:46] Okay. Ram. And so it's, by inference, it means, trumpeting, trumpeting through the ram's horn. Oh. So they are announcing, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba.
[38:05] So, it's announcing, it's heralding, it's mentioning. So that is why the gospel, as is supposed to be announced.
[38:18] Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah. of Jubilee since Jesus came. Every preaching by a servant of God who is true to the scriptures is actually announcing somebody's year of Jubilee.
[38:41] I know I have people seated here who can say I used to be in this kind of lifestyle but thank be to God I am free. Thank be to God I am free.
[38:53] Yeah how do you become free since I started coming to church and kept exposing myself to the message of Jubilee. Yeah I have not gotten extra money yet but actually I have got my life back.
[39:06] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And because you have got your life back you can plan your life without interruptions and interferences you can plan your future.
[39:18] You can put your life on the program you have designed because the interruptions have been taken away. So first and foremost you need to get your life back from slavery.
[39:33] Slaves. I'm no longer slave to sin. I am the child of God.
[39:46] Galatians 4.8 Galatians 4.8 Oh I like the word of God. How be it then when ye knew not God ye did service unto them which by nature are not gods.
[40:06] Give me the New King James. You serve those which by nature are not gods. You are serving things that you shouldn't be serving. Because of the slavery problem.
[40:20] Titus chapter 3 verse 3. For we ourselves were also once foolish disobedient deceived serving ah seven words oh yeah charismatic believers this is also in the Bible.
[40:48] Seven various lusts I know you understand exactly what I'm talking about. Including the lust to sleep.
[41:00] when the word is being taught. Serving various watch this various lusts and pleasures. Watch this the problem here is not the pleasures but you are actually serving it.
[41:17] Serving it. You are serving pleasures. You are a victim of your cravings. You even didn't have what it takes to say no. Every time Satan knows how to control you by throwing something that looks pleasurable to you and then you are just like you are you are you are a slave to it.
[41:37] You are a slave to it. You are a slave to it. That big man think I'm very intelligent you know I don't know what ruins my life but yet alcohol is messing up your life. Big big big men in town in the cities and pornography is ravaging their lives.
[41:52] They don't have control. They don't have control. They don't have control. They don't have a peaceful home because they don't have control and sometimes they wish they could like Paul said what a wretched man that I am.
[42:05] Who can save me from these butchips? So we make it a medical issue. A psychiatric problem.
[42:17] But it's initially it's not a psychiatric problem. It's a spiritual bondage. Spiritual bondage. Spiritual bondage. It's not only the church that can address these things.
[42:30] Because we have the liberty in Christ to set people free. To set people free. Meanwhile Satan has managed to tell you that God wants to put restrictions on you by telling you to serve God and come to church.
[42:42] No it's not restrictions it's rather liberty. He's not putting restrictions on you for goodness sake. He wants to give your life back.
[42:54] To have or to have a certain type level of control through Christ over your life. Because the way you are going is likely you are going to have your fourth marriage.
[43:06] the way you are going and you say I don't know it's likely you are on your way to a fourth marriage because first marriage will fail second marriage will fail third marriage will fail fourth marriage is coming and possibly that will not even work because you have lost control of yourself.
[43:28] Someone screamed Jubilee. Jubilee. That's the message of Christ. For the son of man came to save that which was lost.
[43:38] Let me give you one more scripture on the bondage thing. Oh this is 1 John chapter 5 verse 19. It said the whole world the whole world we know that we are of God and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
[43:55] The whole world the wicked one is the devil. He has swayed the world but we are of God. The whole world so this is where watch this this is do you know why I went to God wanted to be our portion and yet because Satan the sinned man we were plunged into slavery but that's not the end of the story.
[44:16] Redemption came to make the story different. Redemption came to make the story a bit different. We became slaves under sin. God intended to be our portion and for him to be our possession but we became slaves under sin and Christ released us from the slavery of sin of slavery of under sin Satan and the devil.
[44:43] Christ released us. That's the Jubilee thing I'm talking about. Look at John chapter 8 verse 32. John 8 32. I think this is good teaching.
[44:55] At least it's good to know the spiritual what spiritual documentation is working in your favor so you can take advantage of that. Let's read from the screen from the screen.
[45:05] Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Doesn't this beg the question am I not free? You are not. No.
[45:17] You are not. We read you are in slavery. Human beings are in slavery. We are slaves of sin. Romans chapter 6 verse 6.
[45:32] I like Romans chapter 6 verse 6. The last bit. The second bit. Romans 6 6. It said knowing this that our old man was crucified with him that the body of sin might be done away with.
[45:47] Let's read from that last bit. Let's go. I can't hear you. No, no. Louder. I can't hear you.
[45:59] Can you notice what is in the Bible? Addiction. You can come to a place where you are no longer a slave of sin.
[46:13] You are a pastor. I'm born again. Why is it that I'm not free? Because you have not appropriated the liberty in Christ. The jubilee that is being proclaimed. You have not noticed that it also covers this aspect of your life.
[46:27] Your insurance coverage is comprehensive. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hallelujah. Look at verse 14. Romans chapter 6 verse 14. For I, this is serious.
[46:40] Let's read it. Let's go. Loud. Louder. The first part. One more time. I think it would be a good idea to personalize it.
[46:53] You're going to lift up your right hand and say, for sin shall not have dominion over me. Let's read it and let's go. I mean, lift up your right hand and say it from your heart.
[47:03] Say, for sin shall not have dominion over me. Let's go. Declare it again. Say it again. You are prophesying over your life.
[47:16] Prophesy again. For sin shall not have dominion over me. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[47:26] Hallelujah. Why? Because I am in my season of jubilee. I know it's easier to talk about jubilee from financial stuff, jubilee.
[47:40] And most of those things don't show up very quickly because the actual area of bondage is still in force. How can God bless you when your sin is controlling you?
[47:53] How come? Jesus said he who the stands free. He's free. But you are not free because you have not actually been set free. You are in Christ but you haven't taken the liberty in Christ. Romans chapter 8 verse 2 said for the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
[48:10] This is what I told the new creation. I'd like to preach about this more. This one it's only Christians who can identify with it. Unbelievers can identify with financial breakthrough is coming away.
[48:23] Yeah. Marital testimony is coming away. Yeah. Prosperity is coming away. Yeah. You are going to pass every exam of yours. Yeah. You are going to get married within two weeks.
[48:36] Yeah. You are going to buy houses all over central London. Yeah. But when you say for sin shall no longer have dominion over you people are thinking oh my God what is he talking about.
[48:47] That is rather where you should say. Yeah. Yeah. Let's try it. For sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Yeah. For sin shall no longer have dominion over you.
[48:58] Yeah. I say for sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Yeah. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Unbelievers cannot hear this one.
[49:13] Because it doesn't make sense. They don't understand it. It's like gibberish. They don't know what they're talking about. But those of us who are in Christ. And you can actually tell those who are actually in church and came early to come and receive God so you can tell from the sitting positions.
[49:35] Sin shall no longer have dominion over us. Sin shall no longer have dominion over us. Sin shall no longer have dominion over us.
[49:47] somebody shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. So when we come to church our dancing, our shouting, rejoicing should start from here.
[50:09] Our testimonies should start from here. people can get married and still are lost. People can buy houses and are still lost.
[50:22] People can start businesses and become millionaires and are still lost. So why have we been forced to focus on things that people can get without being in Christ?
[50:36] And marginalize on the things that no one can get except the ones in Christ. That's what we should pride ourselves in. That's what we should rejoice in. And as we rejoice in this, when Satan shows up, we say, get behind me, Satan.
[50:51] You will be running around from pastor to pastor, prophet to prophet, looking for them to help you because you are actually working with God. You will not be afraid of generational curses because you are so much deep in Christ that you are not under that slavery.
[51:10] You have been redeemed. You have been redeemed. Sad hallelujah. You are not so worried because of baptism that Wow.
[51:38] This is not just breakthrough, breakthrough. You have just breakthrough so much that even when you are breaking down, you can't see it. Your breakthrough must be against sin, the wealth, and Satan.
[51:57] Because that's where the slavery comes from. And it's the slavery that is blocking your breakthrough physically. So if you can go to the source and deal with it.
[52:09] There was a time my neighbor had a problem in their house. I think the shower was something best and was flooding the whole place. Everywhere. Everywhere.
[52:19] But because the houses are similar and they brought a plumber and it was now flooding to my house. Brought a plumber. The plumber didn't know anything. But because we have done some building works a while ago in my house, I know where the main source is.
[52:34] I went to the house. I said, no, show me. Let's go there. Let's go. I took that. I went there and I just opened that thing. I said, no, there's not. I said, open it. They opened it. I put my hand up. I saw that I turned it on.
[52:46] They said, oh, pastor. You are not just a pastor. You are not just a pastor. I noticed.
[52:58] I noticed. Because I stopped it from the source.
[53:10] It stopped the flooding. But you are not stopping it from there. You are buying buckets. You are buying water holes to try and mitigate the situation. Let's stop the problem from the source.
[53:21] Let's stop the crisis from the source. Stop the crisis from the source. In the name of Jesus. Shout to believe. Shout to believe.
[53:36] Hallelujah. Please be seated. Let me try and run this thing up. Do you believe from sin?
[53:48] We are under slavery. Slavery. Anyone who is not born again is under slavery. How can politicians know this? How can intellectuals know this?
[53:59] This is not in the realm of intellect. It's in the realm of the spirit. So the fact that you are intellectual or you are intelligent. Satan is even more intelligent. The fact that you are intelligent doesn't make you.
[54:14] That means that gives you an upper hand. In spiritual matters. Look at the number of intelligent graduates who commit you. Suicide. UN.
[54:25] I know the UN headquarters is, I think it's in Geneva or Switzerland. That's the murder capital. Suicide. People commit suicide there a lot. Switzerland, the standard of living is very high.
[54:36] They are very prosperous. But people keep killing themselves. Because they don't get a solution. Something is in control of people's lives. It's life. Sometimes you ask yourself, what's the purpose of living?
[54:49] What's the purpose of living? Because you are doing everything, you are not getting it. Why? Because of this slavery issue. But school cannot teach you that. It's only those who have been given the responsibility of heralding the message.
[55:01] But the devil has found every means to try and silence our voices. Marginalize that. Push us into a corner. So we cannot be heard.
[55:12] And what you hear in our societies is what journalists have got to say. Very interesting. He who the sons are self-reliant.
[55:25] Did I quote another scripture? I was going to... Hebrews. You like this? Hebrews chapter 2, verse 14. Oh, man. Oh, man.
[55:37] Are you not wondering why pastors don't delight in teaching the Bible? And they'll be quoting from Madiba. Quoting from Bob Marley.
[55:52] And quoting from Obama. I think it is a controversy of assignment. A pastor doesn't have to quote from anywhere.
[56:02] I have to quote from God's word. Once in a while, depending on what you are trying to say, it's okay. But really, I don't have to delight not even be quoting those people. But what have they said which the Bible can't say properly?
[56:13] Better. And I take stance with Bishop W. De Paul on this matter. He said, no human being is worthy of quoting behind my puppets. Let's stay with the text.
[56:28] Watch this. He said, inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood. There's something I didn't show you in Deuteronomy chapter 8 or in Leviticus chapter 25.
[56:42] When you read the verse 23 to 25 thereabout, it talks about the land shall not be sold permanently. All right? For the land is mine for you as strangers.
[56:55] Let's go to the next verse. Next verse. And in the land of your possession, you shall grant redemption. Okay, go to the next verse. I want to show you something.
[57:06] If one, watch this, this is the way I'm going to. If one of your brothers, okay, brethren, which means brothers, become poor and have sold some of his possession, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he shall be, he may redeem whatever.
[57:24] So I sold this portion of my land to you because I need money. And later on, my relative, Ivy, had traveled, is going to America. She came back with money. He said, oh, no, that's family land.
[57:35] I want to buy it back. I can't say I won't sell it. I have to because the land is redeeming. And if no one redeems it, then later, year of Jubilee will make it go back.
[57:45] But Ivy can come and say, I need it. I'm buying it. I'm paying for it. That's your brethren. So Jesus had to become our brother, our kinsman redeemer.
[57:58] He's one of us. So under the law, the universal law of God, he has the right to redeem us, even though it wasn't his debt. It's our debt.
[58:08] He can pay for the debt and redeem us because we are one. He's one of us. He's our brother. A kinsman redeemer. Are you getting it? So back to Hebrews chapter 2, verse 14.
[58:22] It's that inasmuch then as the children were partakers of flesh and blood, he also, or he himself, likewise, shared in the same. What does he mean by shame? Same flesh and blood.
[58:33] Because we are flesh and blood, he also had to become one of us. He shared in the same. That through death, he might destroy him who has the power of death.
[58:44] That is the devil. The devil had the power of death. But Jesus, you know, God cannot die. It's human beings that die. And the one who can destroy the devil must do it through death. But God can't die.
[58:55] So he has to become like one of us who die and are afraid of death. He has to become like one of us who die and are afraid of death. And then so... No, look at the next verse.
[59:07] The next verse. Did you see that? Did you see that? Did you see that? Someone shout, release. Release. Shout, release. Release. So he came to die so he can release those of us who through fear of death were all our lifetimes subject to bondage.
[59:28] Bondage. Spiritual bondage. Jesus came to release us from spiritual bondage. We were subject through all our lives.
[59:39] So as I told you, the slavery thing is real, but there's a release. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. There's a release. You don't have to die in addiction. Yeah.
[59:51] Don't let that addiction drive your life mad. Don't allow it since you have Christ. Don't allow. You can stop it. You can stop it. When I say you can stop, I'm not saying you can stop doing it.
[60:04] You contaminate its influence. Yeah. Yeah. Because left to you alone, you won't do it. You don't want to do it. But something is like something is making.
[60:14] I don't know. When you finish, you are so sad. You feel you are not in control. What? You are miserable. You can't tell. You are not free. You dress like you are free.
[60:26] But you are not free. You look so posh. But you know that you are a very posh, bound person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Posh person. Posh.
[60:36] Posh. But I'm handing back your liberty to you in Christ. That's the purpose of this proclamation, declaration, trumpeting of jubilee.
[60:50] I'm trumpeting it loud. Ideologists will tell you it's not true. I'm telling you real is practice. We have practiced it. It's real. Listen, we are every human being. Sir, every human being has a form of bondage.
[61:05] So you are not different from the other person. Don't let anybody intimidate you with what they are not doing bad. There's something they have to be set free from as well. Oh, yes.
[61:18] Everybody has something you can't be set free from. But some of us, when we came to Christ, the key things that we're trying to mess your life up, you can tell that you have tasted liberty. I've seen bondage before and I've tasted liberty and I can tell liberty is so good.
[61:35] Jubilee is so good. And I announce to you, your day of liberty has come. Your day of jubilee has come. Your day of jubilee has come.
[61:47] In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Let me round up. Thank you, Jesus. So we have been brought back into the family of God.
[62:02] And so we were in slavery. Let me show you. We didn't really go further into that text, but I think it would be good to see it. In Romans chapter 6, verse 14.
[62:15] He said, for sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Why? For you are no more. Say grace. Jubilee is the workings of grace.
[62:28] You remember when I was telling you about jubilee? Jubilee means that everybody is given an opportunity to start again. So it's reset.
[62:40] It's like a reset button. You have been given an opportunity to start again. And so, you know, I don't know what you were exposed to. That has become a turn in your flesh.
[62:51] Jubilee means that you've been given an opportunity to start again afresh. And that is, watch this. You bought the land or you lost the land.
[63:05] You sold it. And then now, it's been given back to you without you paying anything. Ah, that's grace. That's grace. We have all just been given what we don't deserve. All of us.
[63:17] So it says that sin shall no longer have dominion over you. For you are no more under the law. But now, you are under grace. You are operating under grace.
[63:29] Grace is like an umbrella. And it protects you from the dominion of sin. And you have, I like to hold my Bible. It's raining.
[63:44] It's raining. And get, some of us are born again. But we are like this. You got to come under. Come under grace. Stay under grace.
[63:55] Stay under grace. Stay under grace. Stay under grace. And sin will no longer have dominion over you.
[64:06] Sin. As soon as you go out of grace, sin will have dominion over you. Sin will have dominion. Once you come under grace, sin can no longer. Somebody shout hallelujah.
[64:20] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Sin.
[64:34] Sin. So you see, the subject of sin doesn't become so much legalistic. It becomes an issue of liberty. So you are not afraid to talk about sin.
[64:46] Why? Because you are free. Even if you fall into sin, you won't stay in sin because you are free. But it's religious people who make it a law.
[64:58] You don't have to do this. They have to command you. You don't have to do this. And you know you are not free. Instead of preaching Christ to you, they are preaching commandments. And so when you are under the commandments, you are under the law, sin can control you.
[65:13] But when you are under grace, sin can't find anything to try and hold on to you. And so let me end by giving you the key. Okay, I'll do that on Thursday.
[65:24] How to work into the... He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Now I'm talking more on the godliness thing, but life issues. Life issues.
[65:35] Because some of us, you have been set free from sin, the slavery of sin. But still, there are certain things that is running through your bloodline or running from your past.
[65:46] That has not stopped. And it's like you haven't seen the liberty. You haven't seen the jubilee yet. You will see it. But I'll show you how to get into it. I'm telling you that jubilee means the workings of grace.
[65:58] Jubilee, the workings of grace. Grace is actually at work. That is what brings you the liberty. That's what brings you the freedom. That's what brings you the liberty to let somebody go. Forgive that person.
[66:09] You haven't forgiven the person. It's like you are drinking poison for your enemy to die. You are so bitter about what they did against you. And you see, you don't... Oh, listen to this. Sometimes you say, oh, forgive. Forgive and forget.
[66:19] But naturally, you don't have what it takes to forgive. Because what has happened, you just cannot forgive. I'm telling you, when you come under grace, that thing that I can't, that is controlling your life.
[66:30] You'll be able to do it and walk free and know that I'm free. I am free. I am free. I am free. I am not bitter against anybody.
[66:40] I am... Can you imagine? On the cross, on the cross. Six hours. First three hours, he focused on people. The next three hours, he focused on himself. First three hours, there was light.
[66:52] The next three hours, total darkness. In the afternoon, sun went off. Bible said there was pitch darkness over the whole land. The first three hours, follow the first things he said.
[67:03] The first thing he said on the cross was for the soldiers who killed him. Forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing. That's a serious thing. They are killing you and mocking you. You say, forgive them? It must be someone who is really free to do that.
[67:16] You see, you need to be free to forgive your dad. Hey, hey, hey. Listen, you know. Bearing a grudge against your dad will hurt you. That's right. Your mom can guide you and help you.
[67:30] But a blessing of a father authorizes you to walk in your inheritance. A blessing of a father authorizes you to walk in your inheritance.
[67:42] Yes. Your father has really hurt your mom. And because of that, he has hurt you. You got to pray for that freedom to let him go.
[67:53] Because you want to let him go and do what is right, but you are not free. And guess what? It's your life that is at stake. It's your life. You will be free from today.
[68:04] Last scripture. Let me just run up. In Luke chapter 4, verse 18.
[68:23] But let me start from Acts chapter 26, verse 18. No, 17. Acts 26, 17. This is when Paul was giving his assignment.
[68:37] He said, I will deliver you from the Jewish people as well as from the Gentiles to whom I now sent you. Verse 18.
[68:48] You see the message. He said, I'm sending you to do what? To open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.
[69:02] Did you see that? Yeah. So, the pastor, the preacher man God has sent has been giving the message to cause people whose eyes are blind to see, to turn them from darkness to light, to turn them from the power of Satan.
[69:21] You see the power of Satan? Slavery. Slavery. It's the preacher who has been giving that the jubilee. Jubilee is heralding a message that your time has come to break loose from that imprisonment.
[69:32] He said, I'm sending you to turn them from the power of Satan to God and that they may receive forgiveness of sins. And watch this. An inheritance amongst those who are sanctified by faith in me.
[69:47] So, there is an inheritance. Watch this. There is an inheritance that belongs to you. Day of jubilee, your inheritance is coming back to you.
[69:58] Because when you come into Christ, you have come into an inheritance. That's why I'm sending you to announce this to them. Don't be afraid. I'll deliver you from them.
[70:10] The people I'm sending you to go and help, they are the very people who will be attacking you. Yeah. I'll deliver you from the Gentiles. Who have sent for you to open their eyes.
[70:20] And to cause them to turn from darkness to light. From the power of Satan to the power of God. That they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance. So, it's not just forgiveness of sins we receive.
[70:32] We also receive an inheritance. Can I give you some of the material, natural inheritance we receive when we come into Christ? Good health.
[70:46] You will not be sick. Go. Amen. Amen. And if you are sick, healing will come to you. Amen. That is the believer's inheritance. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefits.
[70:59] Bless the Lord, O my soul, who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases. Once he is forgiving your sins, he can also heal your diseases.
[71:10] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. So, healing is part of our inheritance, our heritage. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So, he says that, now look at Luke chapter four.
[71:23] The one I said earlier. Then I'll... Oh, no, no, no. It's like this one is now becoming information overload. Is somebody sucking in the world?
[71:41] Some of you are not sucking in the world. You are not sucking in the world. You are not sucking in the world. You are not sucking in the world.
[71:53] Is somebody sucking in the world? Luke, Luke chapter 4.
[72:08] You are awake. Hallelujah. The sucking in the world has brought somebody jubilee from sleep. Luke chapter 4 verse 18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me.
[72:25] It's not appointed. The apostle said that we may appoint. Men can appoint you, but God will anoint you. He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted.
[72:38] To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
[72:52] Look at this. Let's read the next verse. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Louder please. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. I can hear you louder.
[73:03] To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. The anointing on the messenger was to preach the gospel to the poor. The broken hearted.
[73:16] Open the sight of the blind. The captives being set free. And then he says that all these things are a function of to declare jubilee. To announce.
[73:27] Jubilee has come. Freedom has come. Liberty has come. So Jesus' opening comments when he went to his own hometown.
[73:39] Was to, after he read the Bible, he told them. And sorry, he read from Isaiah this text. And then he told them that, you see. Now today, this scripture. Put the next one.
[73:50] Today, this scripture, verse 20. This scripture. He said, he closed the book. He gave it to the attendant. And went and sat down. And the eyes of all were fixed on him. Verse 21. And he began to say to them, today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.
[74:05] So the scripture Isaiah wrote quite some hundreds of years ago. Jesus read. He said, now, this year of the law. This year of jubilee is a fulfilling day.
[74:17] Today is fulfilled. Are you getting it? Yeah. Jesus came to declare liberty. The year of liberty. So when you are in Christ.
[74:28] Listen. When you are a Christian, you don't have to wait for 50 years. You just have to wait for a message. Look for the message.
[74:40] Your year of jubilee is in the message you are listening to. So he said, to declare the acceptable year of the Lord.
[74:51] Which means that the year of jubilee. Some translation actually said acceptable. And then he added jubilee. Year of jubilee. But something happened. Quickly.
[75:02] Look at the verse 22. Verse 22. So, let's all read it together. Let's go. So who are the witness with him?
[75:13] And how will I have the witness with him? Two things. They bore witness. What does he mean to bear witness? I can't tell what you are saying is true. I am a witness. I am a witness. I am a witness.
[75:25] I am a witness to what? The fact that he is saying that he is anointed to proclaim the acceptable year. Something inside them agreed with it. Something inside them.
[75:37] Their gut feelings was telling that this man is saying the truth. That's how it is usually when God sends somebody to you. When he is talking to you. Your mind sometimes can even challenge it.
[75:49] But deep inside you. Your gut feelings will be telling you. No. This man is telling you. He is speaking the truth. This man is like he is speaking to me. This man. Yeah. Your gut feeling. But you will be given the opportunity to either go with your internal feelings.
[76:02] Or let your mind. Which has been be clouded by all kinds of ideas and information. Some negative information about churches. About pastors. Negative. That is why the media likes a lot of negative things about churches.
[76:16] As God really said. Satan will attack whoever brings the message. So that even when the message comes to you. You have heard so many negative things. That even though you bear witness.
[76:27] Your mind begins to. Mmm. I am going somewhere. Let me. I got to finish this thing. Are you ready for this? And so. Bible says that. God, witness. With him. Yeah.
[76:38] Not only that. And they. The map. How about witness? And they marvel at what? Jesus. I can't hear you please. Jesus. Oh no. I can't hear you. The grace of God.
[76:50] What are gracious words? Words of grace. Words of grace. Jubilee. Yeah. That word is supposed to bring you grace. And the mouth falls. When the man opens his mouth.
[77:02] This word. Is bringing them under grace. grace so sin can no longer have dominion over them. He was speaking it. So they bore witness and two, they could tell. One thing I've discovered, that if God sends anybody to you, deep in your heart, you will notice something. Something will bear witness that God is trying to talk to me through this person. You will know.
[77:22] It's just your social systems and your friends that will tell you that, oh, why are you going there again? Why are you doing it? And then they will make you abandon what your heart is telling you. So the same thing happened in the days of Jesus.
[77:34] So, watch it. Put you on the screen, please. Put you on the screen again. This is very interesting. I want to finish it now. But you have to watch it. Finish it. This is serious. So, all bore witness with him. And marvel at the great show of words that proceeded out of his mouth.
[77:46] And they said, human intellect and familiarity kicked in. They could bear witness and that this seems to be the Messiah. Because what he said, what he said was for the Messiah.
[78:01] And he said, today is fulfilling your hearing. They could bear witness. And they marvel at the gracious words. Because that's all he said, went and sat down. And they couldn't take their eyes off him. Something inside him arrested them.
[78:12] They knew something was drawing them towards God. It was, it's easy. See, when a man of God is speaking on the behalf of God, there is a godly draw. It pulls you towards God. There's something that is pulling you towards God. Sometimes your mind says, no, no, I don't want to believe.
[78:26] But the thing is drawing you. As long as you keep yourself under that atmosphere. Yeah. Yeah. And the thing was drawing them to God. But they had to raise a counter-argument in their minds.
[78:38] They said, but is this not Joseph's son? And don't we know his sisters? Because he can't be a measure. Verse 23. Verse 23. Then he said, you will surely say this proverb to me.
[78:52] Physician, heal yourself. Do here. Whatever we had done in Kapanom, doing your own, prove yourself now. So, instead of the weakness they were bearing, flowing with it, they now raised another intellectual argument.
[79:07] Now, the point I want to make here is this very important. The cost of grace, I've discovered. Watch this. The cost of tapping into grace is more intellectual than material.
[79:21] I'll explain it. So, coming to church, see, I want to sow a seed into church. I want to give. You see that there's grace in this church. I want to really give.
[79:33] I want to. It's good. You see, if you don't give into an environment of grace or a vessel of grace, you won't provoke that grace towards you.
[79:44] But I realize that the giving is one thing, but what is higher than just giving is intellectual cost. In other words, your mind sometimes can play up on you.
[79:56] Your mind can be turned, but I know this one too much. I've heard too many things. I have to be careful. You know, some of these churches, when you come and they say, lift your hand, you have to, don't lift it fully. Just do it like, because you never know. You never know what's behind.
[80:07] So, your mind will begin to play, even though you can see you are, you've come face to face with grace. Your mind. Your mind. And so, tapping into grace, I deal with vessels of grace, like the Archbishop, His Eminence, the Archbishop, like Reverend Pia Kofi.
[80:24] I deal with Bishop Dag. I deal with Bishop Oye Depo. Some of them, not directly, always, but indirectly. And I always target. In fact, there are times you want to go and see, let's say you want to go and see, in fact, the last time I went to go and see Bishop Dag, he was in a conference.
[80:41] I went there. When they finished the conference, he saw me, I was going to, but I waited for over an hour. He had gone somewhere. You know, if you are not patient and humble, you'll be feeling that, but why?
[80:52] What's the point? Let me live my life. I can't wait for anybody. I'm just coming to say hello. And my certain pastor friend of mine told me some time ago, he said, I was going to the pastor. I wanted to go, go and give him an offering.
[81:05] I was, I was going, but the way the security, I'm taking my offering. I took my offering away. And I was saying, this man doesn't understand spiritual things. The man you are going to give the offering, they didn't know, one, they didn't know you are bringing it.
[81:15] Number two, you need his blessing, his grace more than he needs your offering. So, intellectually, there will be one or two things that will discourage you.
[81:27] Intellectual. So, the man's problem was not material. My pastor friend, it wasn't material. It was intellectual. The way he security, the pastor's security guys were behaving, he put him off and he decided, no, no, I'm going away with this thing.
[81:38] I'm going away with my own man. Tapping into grace can cost more intellectual than material. Wow. It's more intellectual. That's what happened to them and they said, hmm, Jesus, we know him.
[81:52] He didn't ask them for offering, no? He just, they knew they were supposed, they knew they were supposed to accept him, but they, oh, I think we, I can't, I know his sister, I know his mother, capital.
[82:04] He actually, they made our dining chest, oh, no, I can't accept him as Messiah. I know, I can't accept him as Messiah. So, so even though they were confronted, they were face to face with grace, they were face to face with liberty, they were face to face with jubilee.
[82:17] The vessel, the content, the vessel that was bringing it, God has a, God is master, is a master of using unlikely vessels.
[82:28] Yeah. Yeah. The message is not appealing, the Christian message, and not just the message, even the carrier of the message, it's a way, it's a way.
[82:42] I'm telling you, 1 Corinthians chapter 1 and chapter 2, you'll see it. He said, we do not come to you with enticing words of man with eloquence. We didn't come like, especially with human, well, with human wisdom, coming to speak like experts.
[82:54] We came with a simple message. The Christ crucified, Christ crucified, and he said, the message itself is offensive and not the message, the carrier of the message can be also repulsive.
[83:05] It takes a certain heart of humility. That's what I'll pick on on Wednesday, Thursday. Certain heart of humility to be able to tap into grace. Bible says, God gives grace to the humble.
[83:16] Gives grace to the humble. You want liberty? You want to be under grace? Come on, humble yourself, man. Humble yourself, man. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[83:29] He who the Son sets free, is free in me. He who the Son sets free, is free in me. I'll continue on this on Thursday, and I'll show you Jesus.
[83:43] He said, when I come with grace is first economic relief and health relief. But you turn it down and it will go to somebody else. Because some of the things that we suffer in our health and our financial state has a lot to do with our bloodline.
[84:06] Your level of poverty is because of your parents. It plays a role. I'm telling you. Oh, you don't know it's true? Why do you think Charles is not poor? Trump has some children.
[84:23] Their children own businesses. His children own business already. That lady, Chelsea, is it Chelsea Clinton? Yeah, she's doing well. It's because of her lineage.
[84:36] I'm not saying every wealth is because of your family. I'm saying that your nature, the financial wealth you work in. Your background can play a major role. And then your health.
[84:47] Some of the health challenges is the type of food that you were raised on. That's all you could afford. You have eaten chakye and the fat on it was part of the meat because other than that, the meat will be small.
[85:05] Okay. We have to close. Did you receive something? Yes. Sin shall no longer have dominion by you.
[85:19] Shall we all rise to pray? Shall we all rise? We want to pray and say, Lord, I'm taking advantage of grace. I'm connecting myself into grace. I detach myself from every satanic bondage.
[85:31] You know, the area where the devil is trying to keep you in bondage, I need you to open your mouth and begin to pray shortly right now. Begin to pray that, Lord, I detach myself from any field, any sphere of satanic dominion and bondage.
[85:47] I receive liberty. I receive my jubilee. Grace. I walk in the grace. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
[85:58] It's a fellowship of grace. It's a fellowship of grace. It's a fellowship of grace. You want to pray and say, Lord, I detach myself from negative, negative influences from my background, negative influences from my background, from my bloodline and I connect myself into jubilee in Christ.
[86:18] I am free in Christ. I am free in Christ. Come on, come on, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray. Command that addiction to be over.
[86:30] Command that addiction to leave you alone. You are no more addicted. You are no more slave. You cannot be slave to sin. You cannot be a slave to desires. You cannot be a slave to your graves.
[86:42] You are not just slave. You are free in Christ. You are free in Christ. You are free in Christ He who descends is free Is free indeed You are free in Christ I am free I am free Close your eyes Lift up your two hands if you can please Lift up your two hands and say this after me Say in the name of Jesus I declare I am in Christ I am in the family of God And I am redeemed By the spirit of life And so I am free From the law Of sin And death For he who The son says free Is free indeed I am free I am free It's my season of jubilee It's my season of liberty Every slavery Every addiction Every control
[87:42] Of the devil Of sin And the wealth Over my life I declare I am free I am free I am free I am free From addictions From sin From Satan From the wealth Because Jesus Sets me free I am under grace Sin The wealth Satan Can no longer Have dominion over me Now In Jesus name Come on give the Lord a shout out Rejoice in the Lord Rejoice in the Lord We thank God for using his servant Reverend Dr. David entry To share this awesome word If this message has blessed you in any way Please spread the word by sharing it And send us an email To amen At karis.org Remember to stay connected with us
